BBM lost its connection

Can anyone help with this - I installed the latest update last night which was a long update, probably wouldn't have done it if I knew it was changing everything again. Although I didnt lose anything this time but my BBM is saying it's lost its connection, please wait while the server tries to connect. It hasn't worked since updating, wondering if anyone knows or has encountered this and if there is a fix? I have re-started and still having the same issue.

Hi. Trying to connect iomega ext. HD. i have to reformat for Mac. When i plug in & go to Disk Utility,the external shows up and i'm supposed to click "partition". When i do, a box comes up saying ""Disk Utility has lost its connection with the Disk Management Tool and cannot continue. Please quit and relaunch Disk Utility." I quit and relaunched, same results. After googling my question, i came up with this:
"Disk Utility has lost its connection with the Disk Management Tool and cannot continue. Please quit and relaunch Disk Utility."
(Quitting and reopening Disk Utility does not help.)
The following also appears in Console log:

Workaround
Quit Disk Utility.
From the Finder's Go menu, choose Go to Folder....
Type the following, then click OK: /Library/Receipts
Temporarily remove these iTunes receipts from /Library/Receipts (sort the folder alphabetically as a list):
iTunes.pkg
iTunes4.pkg
You can put them on the desktop, for example. Do not remove iTunesX.pkg or iTunes Phone Driver.pkg.
Open Disk Utility and repair disk permissions again.
Quit Disk Utility.
Put the removed iTunes receipts back in /Library/Receipts.
Note: This issue does not affect Disk Utility's verify or repair disk features.
All seemed good, for a moment, until, upon going back to Disk Utility after removing itunes4.pkg and putting on desktop (i did not have itunes.pkg to remove) the same thing was happening. When i highlite my iomega ext. on left of page, disk perrmissions is grayed and does not allow me to click on it. Same problem from the start. Can somebody please help me out here? That would soooo awesome. Thanx!

You shouldn't be scared of that, because you should already have backups. If you don't have backups, then backing up is the first priority.
Insert the Snow Leopard DVD and restart. When you hear the chime, hold down the C key and keep holding it until the Apple logo appears on the display. You should now see the language selection screen. Select your language, then choose Utilities > Disk Utility from the menu bar. In the Disk Utility window, select the external drive (not the internal). The drive may already have a data partition, in which case there will be another icon below the drive icon. Choose the drive icon, then select the Partition tab. Create a single partition with the default options (GUID partition table, Mac OS X Extended Journaled).
When the partitioning is done, select the startup volume on your internal drive in the DU window. Select the Restore tab. Drag the icon of the startup volume to the "Source" field. Then drag the icon of the newly-created volume on the external drive to the "Destination" field. Make sure you have this right. Then click the Restore button, and the data on your startup volume will be copied to the external drive.

Xfce4 applications lost its connection to display

Hi, I was using arch with xfce4 with no problem at all... but today xfce4 seems to have very strange problems...
As usual I logged in and give the startx command, well this time xfce starts loading but after this i've only a black screen with mouse pointer....
I thought it was an X server problem, but blackbox works fine... Then I discovered that xfce is running but not showing anything, if i tape ALT+F2 xfrun4 starts and I can start any applications I want (as the browser I'm using now) including xfce4 application like xfce4-panel or xfce4-session , that didn't start before as usual...
So the problem seems to be that the DE can't initialize it's services, but it sounds strange 'cause before I never had any problems, and I don't remember if I upgraded somethingh during laste working session...
Xorg log in /var/log seems to be useless, so I post my ~/.xsession-errors:

Photosmart wireless B110 printer has lost its connection with my desktop PC.

My Photosmart wireless B110 printer has lost its connection with my desktop PC. I can still print from my laptop so I know the printer is working fine.
When I check ink levels through 'Printer Proerties' the message I get is 'The computer is unable to establish two-way communication with the device', so I guess this is a clue. I would appreciate any help you can give.

Just as a preliminary step, we're going to go through a complete and clean uninstallation and reinstallation. First if you use a USB cord, make sure to remove it. Do not plug it back in until the software directs you to. Then go through the Devices and Printers, Programs and Features and Device Manager folders and insure that all copies, files, and programs related to the printer are removed. Then as directed, restart the computer.
In the START menu type "%temp%" and press ENTER. Here I want you to press Ctrl+A and hit DELETE. Some of the files will not allow you to delete them, skip those files and delete the majority that allows it.
Then follow this link to download the full feature software and drivers for the printer (be sure to select your correct OS):

Win 7(3) computers has lost its connection

ok i have a 3 wireless computers one with cat5 the problem one of the wireless was vista and it was working good antill i upgrade my sistym to win7 and soemtimes i have a good conection and sometimes i have to restart the wrt600n
here is what i change i did what dibbler
have you tried setting the radio band to standard - 20MHz and the standard channel to '11'?
but i lost its connection. with 5G here is what i have on both

Only one computer can see 5 GHz wireless network. That means that computer must be having wireless adapter compatible with 5 GHz wireless band.
Try changing some advanced wireless settings on the router.
Open the setup page of the router and go to Wireless tab. Click on Advanced wireless settings sub tab. Chnage the Beacon Interval to 75, RTS and fragmentation threshold to 2304. Save the settings.
You have upgraded the system to windows 7. Try to update the drivers of the wireless adapter on that computer.
Did you try to upgrade the firmware on your router? If not then upgrade the firmware on your router and see if that helps you.

The bbm error message says: "BBM has lost its connection. Please wait for my z10

having bbm issue cannot connect to my bbm messenger on my z10 for more then 30 seconds always having a message saying bbm has lots its connection trying to reconnect to the server please wait while server attemps to reconnect and my cell phone is register under the black berry services .
I already try to fix issue by changing my sim card and updated my os to a new one but no succes issue came back inside of 24 hours. those solution were not succesful.
any suggestion are help would be appreciated

Gige ethernet camera lost its connection while running

Dear All,
I am using a Gige ethernet camera for triggered acquisition.I need to achieve a network speed of 1Gbps with 9000 maximum packet size for my application. But sometimes this network speed drops down to100Mbps with 1450 packet size due to noise and some other artifacts which leads to lost camera connection from system.To again get camera in connection I need to close the application and restart it .Sometimes I close the application and reconnect the ethernet cable to get camera properly connected with the system.
As I cannot completely get rid of noise and other interefrence I want to connect and configure a disconnected camera in run time.So on error of device connection lost I tried using IMAQdX unconfigure acquisition.vi and IMAQdX configure acquisition.vi but it was of no use.Then I tried to close camera connection first and repeated whole the procedure of opening and configuring the camera but everything done was of no use.
Please suggest me any solution to this problem.

It's not only with ethernet, infact with every other camera/hardware.
Whenever u open a device during starting phase, the labview gets hold of the device driver.
If the device is not properly closed for some reason during some processing, the device handle will be locked and labview will not be able to get hold of device back.
For that to happen, i think the probabilistic solution is only close labview which is using the device and restart the code.
May be try, not only unconfiguring but also close the connection and try reopening during an error and check (may work).

Pages has lost its connection to iCloud

I have a mid 2010 iMac 27" 2.93 Ghz i7 with 8GB of ram.
When I go to open files from iCloud in Pages (and the other icloud connected apps) the finder window blinks as if trying to connect but then displays my local documents folder. I have repaired permissions, logged out and back into iCloud services to no avail. I created a new profile on the mac, linked to iCloud services and everything worked fine!. Before I just give up and move all of my files over to a new profile, I was hoping someone out there had a fix for this.
BTW I have the latest version of Pages and Pages 09 installed same issue with both versions.

My Epson wireless printer has lost its connection with imac - how do I reconnect?

My Epson wireless printer is not responding to the print command displaying the message "looking for printer/the printer is not connected" but the printer is on and the wireless connection working - any thoughts please on how to resolve? Thanks

I've found that once in a while this seems to randomly occur. It's happened to me in the last couple of days with my Brother printer. The only way I could get it working was to go through the palaver of setting up the wifi connection to the printer again, using the control panel on the printer to rejoin the network and re-inputting the password.
The connecting can be made easier if it and your router support WPS pairing. Select WPS pairing on the printer and if offers up an 8 digit number that you input in the wifi configuration page of your router.

HT4367 My Apple TV has seem to lost its connection to itunes .

It has a picture of the apple tv box with arrow to Itunes. disconnected to put apple tv on computer but HDMI cable won't fit in to computer (larger)

If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
(You may already have a micro USB cable if you have a camera or other digital device)

I updated itunes, and now my iphone 3GS has lost its connection

I have tried following the advise on Apples pages, even down to reinstalling everything, but still no luck...

I found the fault... The Apple Device USB Driver had loaded itself under the Imaging Devices. I Uninstalled it, and reinstalled it under Universal Serial Bus Controllers. And now itunes pick up my phone again.

Did you power off everything?? Power off printer, power off router. Power on router, wait 2 mins. Power on printer to see it connects to your router.

Officejet 8600 lost network connection

This is the first problem I have had with this great printer.
The printer is no longer recognized by my computer. I have restarted the computer, the printer, used wireless setup wizard, called apple 2x and was able to get the printer back for a day and then it fell off the grid and is beyond my scope of expertise. I have also printed the wireless network test, HP Network configuration page and the printer status report.
Everything seems to check out except my computer is not finding the printer. The HP utility cannpt locate the printer in the devices tab. I have even downloaded the latest driver, but, since it cannot connect to the printer there is no change.
The printer worked until someone else shared the network, btw. I allow my students to use the wireless and the printer lost its connection when others were logged on. I am not sure if that is coincidental or not.
I'd like to avoid the $99 one-time call to HP, any help is greatly appreciated. Thank!

It may be related to how busy the router is. If this is at a class room, ask your IT person to reserve the ip address for the printer or assign it a fixed ip address.
This is because most router do DHCP, so every device when connected, may get a new ip address, so the saved printer info become invalid (to a computer, the printer with the older ip address is offline), until you re-discover the printer or reboot the computer (and takes some time to update the devices on the network).
