    That is odd once you reload your OS you should be able to just sign in your previous ID also no need for you create a new one or you can have back up settings on from BB LINK

  • BBM NOT WORKING! URGENT

    For about 3 weeks now my bbm has been very unstable. all of a sudden at times it stops functioning, Recent updates stop coming through, messages stop coming through.. please help, it is Extremely Urgent!!

    Have you done a simple reboot on your 8520? In this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescirbed for most gltiches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.
    If so, what else can you tell us... such as the BBMessenger version you have installed? Scroll to Options > Applications > Add-on or Core > BlackBerry Messenger.

    Wow, ok. Just trying to help you troubleshoot it, and I don't know what all you've already tried.
    I'd try the reboot as I described again.
    And, make sure you have THIS new device on your mobile account to have the BIS data account provisioned to the new device.

  • Urgent...please help...lost my bbm icon when upgraded to bbm 7

    i lost ill not showing my bbm icon when i upgraded the bbm to the 7 version..i tried hard resets and also teh show all option, but its still not showing. i also tried to download it from the app world, but its showing reinstall..and when i reinstall it..it shows reinstall failure..
    i don't know what to do..please help me..asap..!!

  • BBM Z10 not opening after app updates...​.Urgent solution needed please!!!.

    I did some applications updates yesterday and since then the BBM application on my Z10 refuse to open. Applications updated were afrinolly(v1.4.3.2), Adobe reader(10.1.0.4), box(1.2.0.79), and blackberry maps(10.0.0.639).Have tried the hard reset but it still refuse to open. Please what's wrong and what can I do. Thanks.

    Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness shows up, the first thing to try is a proper reboot:
    Pre-BB10 Devices ONLY. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
    BB10 Devices. Hold the top button down until the counter reaches zero. Wait for the device to be fully shut down (e.g., nothing at all displayed on the screen, no LED lights, etc.). Hold the top button until the red LED is lit. Wait through the full boot-up process. If this fails, you can attempt the battery-pull method above, but it is normally NOT recommended unless nothing else works.
    See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

  • Strange Message about BBM today...anyone else? URGENT!

    One of my BBM contacts has forwarded a msg onto me today saying that BBM is shutting down at midnight tonight and if I don't broadcast the msg I will loose my contact.
    Goes on to say that there has been an overusage of user names in BBM and that Blackberry are requesting all users to forward this message to their contact list? if i don;t forward it apparently they will take my account as invalid and it will be deleted within next 48hrs?? Not to ignore the message or Blackberry will no longer recognise my BBM pin?
    If after that I want to reactivate my account i will have a £25 charge added to monthly bill to reconnect? WTF?
    So has anyone else had this msg or know anything about it at all?
    My gut feelin is it's probably a scam but want to be sure?

  • URGENT!!! Cant send pictures on BBM

    Hello everyone,
    My bbm was working fine for a year, but since last month, i cannot send pictures ... I tried to google it alot, normally the things that come up suggest that I need to resize the image etc etc ... but my problem is different ... When i choose a picture to send it ... there r two buttons i m supposed to choose from ... "Send" and "Cancel" ... I keep moving my trackpad but it never goes to the "send", it only highlights the cancel button ... Its like its not even an option ... I used to send pictures just fine before, dont know whats up with it now ... I cant even highlight "send" apart from choosing it as an option ... Plz help ... I have tried deleting bbm, re installing it, everything worked fine but still, cant send pictures ...

    Now, try the send option again.
    If it still does not work, you need to call the technical support for your mobile carrier and tell them to have this issue escalated to RIM level tech support.

  • 9300 bbm update to 7.0 not working - URGENT

    All of a sudden my phone only works through wifi connection at home when before it was fine without it.
    for example: cannont access app world
    Error Msg:  We cannot connect you to BlackBerry App World. Please ensure that your device is connected to the wireless network and try again

    I am sorry I think my guidelines were not correct because they are for OS7 and you have OS6.
    from the home screen, incoke the universal search (the magnifying glass in the top right corner) and type in :
    blackberry id
    among the results, you will have one in the Options. Click on it and log in your BlackBerryID (the same as in My World).
    once this is done, do a battery pull, and redo the same.

    I am in need of urgent help.
    I had saved some really important information in the memos of my blackberry curve 8520. After that I changed my phone to a non-blackberry phone. but I still had the old phone but it was kept off most of the time. I had backups from June 13, 2013. very recently I wiped the phone. (Very big mistake) Now I am in need of that information that I had saved in the memos. Now when I visit the blackberry protect website through my laptop it shows that the back up is there with 15 memos and many other things. but when I open the app of blackberry protect on my phone it shows that there are no previous versions of backup available to restore. 
    Now please tell me and help with this. I badly need the information that I have stored in the memos of this earlier back up version.
    Another thing I have noticed is that there is a problem in the link between BB Protect website and the BB Protect app on my phone. For example, if I click on "Play Sound" or "Display a message" on the BB Protect website, it tries to communicate with the device and then waits for the device to respond and then it fails to do the function clicked.

    Please check very very very very (did I say that enough?) carefully that you are using the exact same BBID credentials on your new BB that you are logging into via PC.
    If they are not the same, then that explains why it cannot present you with those backups on the device...they are associated to a different BBID than you are using on your BB now. To change your BB over to the BBID that contains the backups you require, you must WIPE the BB:
    KB26694 How to change the BlackBerry ID on a BlackBerry PlayBook tablet or BlackBerry smartphone
    However, be very careful when you then associate the BB to that other BBID...done incorrectly, you can lose your prior backups...refer:
    KB31489 BlackBerry Protect for BlackBerry smartphones does not display any backup files to restore
    Then again, if you are using the exact same BBID on both the device as well as via PC/browser, then the method discussed in KB31489 may already have been done incorrectly, wiping out those prior backups (and there is no way to retrieve them).

    I have been trying this technique for the past 4 days. It doesnt work no matter how i change the password at the link that u gave me. Even though it's being reset accordingly, i am still unable to log in the password at my mobile. i am 100% sure that i have entered the correct password at my mobile. ( verify blackberry id) . I want to setup new email accounts under "setup" . Upon me clicking " email accounts", it prompt for the one key password. I have never faced this issue before. I am very very sure that my password is correct. Pls advise as i need to add email accounts. Other programs are working fine without any password required being prompt. ie. blackberry world
