i have a problem with my bbm, everytime i try send a bbm a red x comes up, does anyone know what this means??

    Hi Everyone!
    I just bought my new Blackberry Curve 9220 from Globe (A Philippine Service Provider). . So I installed the newest version of Twitter on my phone and it says that there is no internet connection even if I'm connected to my wifi. I can't upload my photos to Twitter but I can tweet and send DMs.Regarding the BBM problem, I can't connect my BBM with my twitter and facebook, it's always stuck on step 2 which says that I need to turn my radio on. I tried to connect it with the radio on but it still won't work. Please help me.

  • Blackberry ID problem/BBM problem

    I just downloaded the new BBM and I need my Blackberry ID password, which i don't know. I only know part of it and my email address has a spelling mistake in it so i can't have my password reset by email. Should I just wipe my phone? or is there anything i can do?

    From what you described there is no other way ,sorry ! but had to change OR create a new BlackBerry ID.Look at this Knowledge Base for further help :

  • BBM problem with 8530

    Hi.  I have used BBM in the past with a couple of friends that also have the Blackberry Curve phones.  My husband just got a Storm and we are trying to set up BBM so that we can use it.  However, requests are listed as pending authorization, but no one seems to ever receive a notification on their phone that the other person is requesting them as a contact.  Any ideas?  Is this a problem across the different models?

    To clarify, it appears that only messages between you and your Wife and Daughter, seem to be effected? Have them remove you from their BBM list completely then have them invite you to BBM.
    Also, am I safe to assume you are all connected with the same wireless network provider?

  • BBM PROBLEM HELP!!!

    I have never had a problem with my BBM but a few days ago a problem accurred. I cannot send msgs to my boyfriend, I have never had this problem before, all of a sudden he stopped receiving my messages, however I receive his messages. I have tried everything from redownloading BBM, rebooting my phone as well as deleteing and reinviting him several times. What is going on someone please help, he is leaving for the UK and it is vital that I get this problem resolved!!!

    Make sure you have his actual PIN and try sending him a PIN message from your Messages folder > Compose Mew PIN message.
    Or ask him to send you a PIN message and see if you can reply.

  • BBM problem pls help me.

    i upgrade my bbm to 7 then when i click it "associating bbm with your blackberry id" appears it stuck there., i waited for hours but nothing happens, before when i can use it but when i upgraded it it stuck there. what should i do so that i can use my bbm again? i cant uninstall it because its a core app.

  • Bbm problems

    I need some help here please. BBM has stopped working with one specific contact after i updated the software and the bbm so. I can't send this contact a BBM message  and always it  gives me the mark ( X). However, when this person tries to send me a message, it gets delivered instantly but without the mark( D ). When she BBM other people it goes through fine, and when I BBM other people, the message gets delivered and they can reply with no problem. It's just this one person that  I cannot send her  anything but can always receive her messages. We deleted each other, pulled battery multiple times and still no luck. i deleted her and she added me and i did the same and also we chhecked our firewall and nothing changed Any ideas?

    This was a known issue for a few users two days ago (myself included) and it was a BBM server issue which RIM has since fixed.
    Removing and re-adding that user is the only thing I would know to do, other than for you to call Etlisalat and report the issue and have them ESCALATE the issue to RIM level tech support. Get an incident ID and they will assist you.

  • BBM Problem on Bold 9900

    Hi All.
    I seem to be having a problem with my Blackberry Messenger. It seems that when I send a message it appears to send and reads 'Delievered' however the other person does not receive it at all. It does not even show me the 'R'
    I have tried the following fixes:
    -Taking Battery out whilst phone is on. I have done this three times but to no avail
    -registering the handheld onto wireless network again. Didn't work
    - checked network coverage. All good in my area
    -tried reinstalling BBM twice but also didn't work.
    I've been having this problem since 4pm UK Time yesterday, but I thought if I left it it may rectify itself but it didn't.
    Another point is that I receive emails on time so there's no problem there
    Model: 9900
    OS: 7.1 bundle 1149
    Carrier: O2 UK
    Memory 8GB internal and 8GB external

    I haven't noticed any UK data or BBM issues being reported, and since you've already deleted and re-added BBM, I'd just wait it out, or even check with O2 to make sure they specifically don't know of any data issues.
    As asked above, is this for ONE contact, or many?

  • Torch 9800 BBM problem.

    Hi, I am experiencing promlems with my phone as it will not let me send out friend requests. I am connected to the network and I have data access. What should I do?

    Unfortunately with BBM, there usually isn't one issue you can correct instantly to solve the problem; it could be a problem with your BBM itself, it could be that your BIS is not configured properly, your carrier could be having issues with its network, etc.
    All I can do is give you some generic answers in hopes that one of them will correct the issue.  The first thing to do is to make sure your BIS is set up properly.  Send yourself an email to an address you have set up on your phone.  If that goes through without incident, we can move on to step 2.
    Next, I recommend uninstalling your BBM and reinstalling it.  To do this, on your homescreen go to Options>Applications or Options>Device>Application Management, depending on which OS your phone is running.  Find it in the list, highlight it with your cursor, press the menu key and select Delete.  Reboot your phone then reinstall it.  You can do this through BlackBerry Desktop Software, through App World or from your phone's browser at www.blackberry.com/messenger .  Once it's been reinstalled, try sending BBM requests again.

  • Desktop/BBm problems

    hi im new to this forum so hello everyone
    i dont know if its a problem or me just being fussy, but im running v5.0.1 desktop software, i recieved a message saying new update available for my bold 9700. so i plugged it in, and when i unplugged it once it had been completed, everything was still on my phone...apart from all my conversations on BBm. contacts were still there, even a group im in, just convo's and the updates.
    when i plug it in, it says checking for application updates, and comes up with a list of things:
    5.0.0 core applications
    API, Crypto 1, crypto api application, ldap broswer librarys
    maps
    messenger
    secure email library
    email setup app.
    enhanced gmail plugin
    help
    password keeper
    docs to go
    then 2 options, update and cancel.
    Just annoying really (dont know if the list is any help, as i presume this would change everytime update may b available)
    currently running v5.1.0.146 on phone,
    Any help would be appreciated,

  • Q10- BBM problems

    My bbm dp is stuck and doesnt change for 2 weeks now. 
    I also configure problems while sending or receiveing pictures usually, it takes time to send and sometimes i dont recieve pictures (doesnt download fully)
    Even while forwarding texts sometimes take time to show that it has been delieverd.
    I also have an issue with whatsapp application- i dont have a button for broadcasting messages

    I have read others with the display picture in BBM (your personal avatar) not changing to your friends lately.
    It will eventually. Sometimes, making a slight change to your name, like adding a "." or smiley face to the BBM name will sync the picture on through.
    It is my understand that WhatsApp does not currently allow for broadcast messages. Let WhatsApp know you want that feature... @WhatsApp on twitter

  • [ASK] Email Cannot Sync and BBM Problem

    Hi All,
    I have problem about my 9320 Amstrong.
    Suddenly, I can't receive email anymore (about 1 week ago). After that, I tried to hard reset then delete email and add again, but I can't synchronize my email to the server.
    Also some of my bbm cannot send the message (only sign "D" even read). It just happened to some of my contact.
    I try to change operator, also same happened at my 9320. But if my provider card used at other blackberry, it running well. So, this problem at my handheld or RIM at my suspect.
    I tried to wipe, upgrade, HRT, send service book, and other, but still same result
    Please, help me.. anyone have this issue also?

    Hi and Welcome to the Community!
    With a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
    1) Register HRT
    KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
    Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
    2) Delete and Resend Service Books (pre-BB10 devices only)
    KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
    If you have no CMIME entry, then skip the deletion
    KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
    3) Reboot
    Pre-BB10 Devices ONLY. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
    BB10 Devices. Hold the top button down until the counter reaches zero. Wait for the device to be fully shut down (e.g., nothing at all displayed on the screen, no LED lights, etc.). Hold the top button until the red LED is lit. Wait through the full boot-up process. IF this fails, you can attempt the battery-pull method above, but it is normally NOT recommended unless nothing else works.
    See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
    Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should try deleting and re-adding your configurations for the affected email accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support.

  • BBM problems - BBM 7

    So after having no BBM for 3 days I have exhausted all avenues, to be told by my serivce provider that there is an issue with some BBM's who recently had the upgrade.......called BB on Tuesday and told them  they told me to go to my service provider when all along it was them.  So after resetting the password on my ID the thing still does not work.  Apparently BB are working hard to resolve the problem.... not hard enough I say.  Can anyone help with resolving the issue at all?  Appreciate it as I am not calling BB again.

  • BBM problems -- between a Curve (in Canada) and a Bold (in UK)

    Hi,
    I have Blackberry Bold with a UK (orange mobile provider) and my dad in Canada has a Blackberry Curve with Wind mobile provider. We have been trying to add one another several times from each end. We do receive the request but then after accepting the request it goes to pending and it is never added to the contacts. We have tried deleting and sending a request a few times, do you have any suggestion? I have added people from Canada and UAE before with no problem I am not sure what is going on.

    I do not think so unless you have a UK credit card - if you have iPhoto '11 you can change the print product country to the UK - you can always give it a try

  • Wifi & bbm problem

    i have a blackberry curve 9320, 4 some reason when i leave my house i can't receive emails or bbms nor send any or internet service, normally it 's fine but it's been like it 4 the last 2 days, i've tried deleting my email account & host routing device, my blackberry is always wireless & registed, any help would b great, it's driving me mad

    If that is os 7 or 6 go to manage connections/ moble network options/ data services/ while roaming/ ON, you dont have to have the roaming charges on os 5 but in order to use internet services on the move, you need to have this enabled.
