BBM (Update) 8310

So I have had my BB since December and Its telling me to update bbm when I go to update, it tells me that I don't have enough memory and wants me to delete some things and lauguages that I don't use anyone know how to do that?? My phone is Blackberry 8310

Go to Options >Status and please post the number next to "file free"

  • BBM Update + Automatic Status Update??

    Dear Blackberry,
    The fact that you automatically sent out an automatic status update when I upgraded to the most recent version of BBM is *infuriating*. If I want to notify people that BBM is available for Android and iPhone, I'll tell them myself.

  • Blackberry CURVE 8310 BBM Update Error

    Hey Guys I just recently took my aunts blackberry 8310 Curve from her and had it configured with my provider here in Pakistan. Now in its current state 
    -The browser is fine, loads everything swell
    -BBM works great I can send bbms etc etc images work fine too
    -Whatsapp worked great as well again images etc all went fine
    Now when highlighted and clicked on the 'Upgrade Blackberry Messenger' icon I was taken to download page for the latest version here when I selected my language and clicked download the download bar appears and then after about 5 seconds an HOUR GLASS appears followed by an error saying BAD REQUEST.
    Note:
    I tried downloading the faceable app from the same website on the blackberry and that download came through just fine, fast as well.
    Also worth nothing is I have updated my blackberry 8310 to its latest software update. 
    Again in advance thanks to all of you who could help me with my problem as im loving this device aslready its my first BB and its great, just wish I could get the latest BBM on it to ice the cake.

    What version of BlackBerry device software are you currently running on your device? You can get this information from Options - About.
    You can see the system requirements for the new BlackBerry Messenger here:

    A BlackBerry smartphone with 64MB of memory.

    BlackBerry Device Software v4.5 or later.

  • Can't update 8310 "Current Version"

    Please help, my sanity is on the line...
    I've gone through the process...
    Downloaded the new application upgrade software, it gave me a pop-up towards the end with the usual "your system must be re-started to complete install..."  I clicked "restart later" and let it finish.  When it was done, nothing was different on my 8310 Curve (AT&T service if that means anything).
    So, I powered down the blackberry, re-booted the laptop, powered up the blackberry, restarted the laptop.
    Blackberry was just as it was before.
    Checked the "About" and it indicated the 4.2 operating system was still in place.  
    So I repeated the process, thinking that perhaps my updated application downloader software hadn't been fully, uh, updated.  
    It went through the whole process again, then told me the device was updated.
    Checked, the 8310 was just as it was before, no changes in functionality.
    Checked "about" and it still showed the 4.2xxx OS.
    So I powered it down, thinking maybe it needs a power cycle to finish updating.
    Powered it up again, and still no changes, and still 4.2xxxxx
    Re-connected, opened  desktop manager, clicked on APPLICATION LOADER, clicked on the "updates" on the bottom right corner, which brings you back to the blackberry webpage, went through the whole thing again, and it tells memy device has the current software (and asks me if I'd like to register my email for software update emails).
    Looking on the forum here, it appears that others with 8310's are successfully updating to the new OS, so what do I need to do to get the new toys?

    Simple answer is that ATT does NOT have the OS 4.5 upgrade. You do all that and it is only updating you to the latest version of 4.2 OS.
    You can load the 4.5 upgrade manually if you like.

  • 9300 bbm update to 7.0 not working - URGENT

    All of a sudden my phone only works through wifi connection at home when before it was fine without it.
    for example: cannont access app world
    Error Msg:  We cannot connect you to BlackBerry App World. Please ensure that your device is connected to the wireless network and try again  
    This was never an issue before it used to work perfect
    ALSO
    NEW BBM 7.0 does not open I have messages i cannot read because of this 
    Error Msg: Associating BBM with your BlackBerry ID
    I am paying for BBM that does not work  

    I am sorry I think my guidelines were not correct because they are for OS7 and you have OS6.
    from the home screen, incoke the universal search (the magnifying glass in the top right corner) and type in :
    blackberry id
    among the results, you will have one in the Options. Click on it and log in your BlackBerryID (the same as in My World).
    once this is done, do a battery pull, and redo the same.

  • Z10 and BBM

    Hi,
    The most recent BBM update does not seem to work on my Z10 (AT&T version 10.2.1.3014). When I open BBM I get that ad about stickers, attempt to click Exit or Continue and then the program just closes and I'm back at my start screen for the phone with my app icons.
    I've attempted a restart, a battery pull, even trying to recover a large number of the apps/programs using a backup I had on Blackberry link from Feb. 14th of last month. No luck with any of those.
    Obviously the z10 won't let me delete and reinstall the app either.  I'm a bit stuck on what to try next short of wiping the phone back to factory defaults and starting over.

    Make sure you are reboting the device in the right way:
    Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner:
    With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot.

  • BBM 7.0 doesn't work

    As many people on the forum, I downloaded the BBM update and as a result it hangs forever on "Associating BBM with your BlackBerry ID" and/or "association failed". Reboot has not worked either (after many tries). This BBM update doesn't work!!. Now I'm not able to acces my chats. Please say how to fix this, I'm locked-out from my BBM due to installing this update. Bold 9780

    I hate it!!!  It deleted all my BBM contacts!!!

  • BBM via bridge on OS 1.0.6.2390 and 1.0.7.2670

    i've have had this problem since upgrading to OS 1.0.6.2390 . My BBM is not working on My Playbook via Bridge when i try to start it it gives me a White Screen with a green orb spinning in the middle.
    I have deleted all my contacts and gave it a try it worked but as soon as i restored my list it went back to not working again. Then I deleted all my contacts again and add them back one at a time now it stops at 18 contacts. ( back to the spinning green orb) 
    I am using a 9550 with OS5.0.0.1082, I have 80 bbm contacts with 2 groups. I've also seen elsewhere where persons mention contacts the Fancy icons in thier bbm names may affect this so i've renamed all my contacts, so now noone has any of the fancy icons

    To get BBMessenger on the PlayBook, you need 3 things:
    Bridge update (1.0.0.83), I recomend 1.0.4.9 which is latest
    PlayBook OS (1.0.3) or higher, best to get the latest version of PlayBook OS now at 1.0.7.2670
    BBM update (5.0.3.22) available on App World via your smartphone.
    delete the BlueTooth Bridge profiles on both devices, update bridge app if not done already
    Then perform a Battery pull please, with the BlackBerry smartphone powered ON, remove the battery 15 seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot device. This will clear all cache like rebooting a PC.
    on Playbook press power button and both Vol + - buttons for 10 seconds to reboot it.
    setup bridge again and see if it persists.

  • Backup doesn't support bbm chat conversations

    i used to backup my blackberry curve 9300 regularly. last week, after updating to the latest bbm with talk features, i noticed that when i connect my bb to my laptop and hit the "backup" button, teh backup completes normally, but at the end i get an alert that soem items are not supported by teh back up, which are the opened bbm conversations.
    when i closed the 2 conversations i had and backed up again, it backed up without giving me the alert.
    before teh altest bbm update, i used to abckup normally with bbm conversations opened without getting any alerts. is this normal? is this related to teh new talk feature that was added to bbm? i mean, did anyone else notice it?

    with the new BBM7, I know that the contacts are store in your BBID cloud (BlackBerry ID).
    I have no info regarding the conversations.
    What is your version of the Desktop Software ?

  • BBM crashes upon installing iOS 9 beta

    I've just encountered a problem with BBM app crashing repeatedly when i installed ios 9 public beta. It seems that now im unable to utilise the BBM app at all. I'm also not able to even open the app after installing the ios 9 public beta. Please release a new BBM update and resolve the compatibility between ios 9 and BBM.

    Thanks for your response.  But something to consider going forward in my opinion........ I think BBM developers were already aware that iOS 9 (beta) was coming out, and I'm pretty sure Apple made the beta available to the developers before making it public to other testers like us. So the BBM developers can't say they were not aware that there is compatibility issue between the current BBM version and and the iOS 9 (beta).  Bearing in mind the dynamism of the industry, I think it's better for the BBM developers to fix this bug now than making us  'the iOS 9 (beta) testers' wait till iOS 9 is officially released by Apple in the Fall.  Fixing things now will ensure a more robost and stable app when the full iOS 9 version is rolled out! CheersphemyD

  • BBM For 9930 Not working

    I can send messages from my BBM but even after they are read it, it doesn't show that. I also cannot receive messages nor can I add friends because it just shows as pending even after people already accepted it. What can I do to fix this. I tried restoring my phone from a back up that did not have this issue but that didn't help out either. Does anyone know what to do or what I can do to fix this. Any advice please

    Have you downloaded the latest BBM update? Were you taking part in the beta trial of BBM 7.0? If you haven't consider updating to BBM 7.0.0.126.. See if that resolves any of your problems.

  • BBM and email icons won't disappear

    I currently dont have the issue but am up to date on all the above.
    To get BBMessenger on the PlayBook, you need 3 things:
    Bridge update (1.0.0.83, I recomend 1.0.0.93 which is latest)
    PlayBook OS 1.0.3 or higher (best to get the latest version of PlayBook OS.) current is 1.0.5.2342
    BBM update (5.0.3.22) available on App World via your smartphone.
    Links for Bridge if your carrier blocks it in app world.

  • BBM on Playbook AWOL.

    Got notification on 9800 there was a BBM update, so of course being the good geek(tongue in cheek) I do all the updates I have procrastinated doing.
    Now I get on my PB "Blackberry Messenger end user licensee agreement not accepted on your device" As well dosn't show up in app world any either or as an installed app on My World on the app store.
    I will be lost without my BBM.

  • My BBM Icon Vanished. ????

    Please Help.
    Yesterday I received a notification of a BBM Update. So I do, as I always have done in the past, the upgrade. But this time it's different. After my BB reboots my BBM Icon has vanished completely off of my phone.
    I then go into My World Apps. It says it's installed. And in no way can you uninstall it or delete it so it can be reinstalled. ????
    I also tried restoring my phone to before I upgraded it, but that didn't work.
    I don't get it????
    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    I too have updated my BBM for the 7.0 on my BB 9810 and after rebooting i no longer have a BBM,but it is in my applications as installed.Ive rebooted,pulled battery.Cant uninstall it niether.Would be great to have some support please
