BBM Video

The other day a friend of mine wanted to test his Playbook video chat so he sent me a text message telling me that he would be calling within the next few minutes, soon after I received his message I hear my Playbook ringing for a Video chat, as I was going to pick it up I then notice that the Z10 was also ringing for a BBM Video, so I answerd with the phone and it was my friend on his Playbook calling, I thought that it was only for BBM to BBM, but it also is good for calling Playbook

That's sweet that it actually notifies both.
I have been assuming that the video chat would work on either, but since nobody on my BBM has their Z10 yet I've been unable to test this.

  • Q10 - BBM Video Dilemna

    I recently upgraded from the Torch to Q10.  Previous advertising of the Q10 and on BlackBerry's website, I should be able to do a BBM Video Chat on my mobile network, right?  But why can't I?  I can only do a BBM Video Chat when I'm in a wi-fi area.  Please help.

    I called AT&T and advised them of the problem but AT&T referred me or transferred me to BlackBerry.  I spoke with a BlackBerry service rep (male), who told me that BBM Video Chat only works on wi-fi. I told him but BlackBerry's website on Q10 BBM Video Screen Share shows and tells that it can work on mobile network, which I should be able to turn On or Off. He said no it's not a feature. Holy Moly. What's the truth?

    I have a z30 and the wife has my old z10. When I try to connect bbm video to the z10 it says contact not available for bbm video, 
    What am I doing wrong? I'm new to bbm as it is

    To see what you can do Video Contact Calls
    Join to contact, then press the Button All
    Here choose BBM Video
    The contacts shown in BBM list are the ones you can make video calls to those who go online connected
    Enter the contact's profile and choose BBM Video.

  • BBM video chat has no voice???

    Can't hear anything on BBM chat, neither can the other person hear me. Help, this is rather frustrating

    Start with a battery pull on both ends.  You and the other user should both remove your batteries while your phones are powered on then replace them and try a BBM video call again.

  • BBM Video Chat Offline

    Yesterday I could chat with my BBM contacts with video chat and now today the option is gone! The video camera icon is gone from any of my BBM contacts that I can chat with. And anyone trying to video chat with me it shows that I am offline! Anyone have a fix for this?

    Those updates are correct for your BlackBerry Z10.  
    If you're connected via a Wi-Fi connection I would make sure your wireless router has these settings whitelisted: www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB26816
    Also have you tried to make a BBM Video/Voice chat to several different contacts?

  • Bbm video or voice call

    Hi, Could anyone tell me why the video or voice call feature on bbm doesnt want to work. I have a friend also with a z10 and whenever i try making a video call to him it says contact is not available for video call, yet all his settings and thing are correct on the phone

    Are both of you on WiFi at the time?
    It could work over the mobile network UNLESS it is forbidden by one of your mobile network providers, OR if you have the BBM app settings to "Allow BBM Calls over mobile networks" disabled. Open your BBM app > swipe down from the top of the app to the settings > scroll down and enable that feature.

  • Bbm video not working

    My wife just picked up a new Q10
    I already have a Z10 but didn't have anyone to bbm chat with. When we tried today there was an error saying problem with the network connection. But both phones were connected to wifi here at home which was working fine at the time for everything but chat. Any ideas on how to fix this problem.

    I just disconnected my wifi connection on both phones and it worked fine. There must be a problem with the wifi

  • BBM VIDEO HAS NO AUDIOI

    when I video chat on my z10 I get the video but no audio either direction. If I try to adjust the volume I get an icon of a speaker with a small lock beside it. I have only tried to video chat with playbooks but I have tried three different ones on both wifi and cellular

    Sorry to hear you're experiencing an issue with Video Chat.
    The lock icon when you attempt to adjust the volume would indicate your audio is connected to another source. Are you connected to a Bluetooth headset or speakers? 
    If you were to launch a music file and attempt to adjust the audio, does it display the same icon? Does the audio play?
    If you turn off all network connections except Wi-Fi and the mobile network, are you then able to adjust the volume and hear the audio?

  • BBM Voice and Video calls not working

    Hi!
    I'm using BB Z3 OS: 10.3.1 and my friend using BB Z3 OS: 10.2.1, we both are using BBM over wifi and our BBM is upto-date but when i'm dailing call, "Connecting to BBM video service, please wait and try again" error apears, why we unable to make voice or video calls? any one tell me?

    The last I read, BBM voice and video is not available in Pakistan.
    I believe it is in UAE.

  • BBM voice and video chat

    Hello Everyone,
      I just bought the bb Z10 and it has been great so far. Yesterday i noticed the bbm video icon had disappeared thus disallowing me to make or recieve a voice or video chat. I have done everything possible to the best of my knowledge including a restart several times. Everyother setting concerning video set-up i have done accordingly. Can someone help out cos this is frustrating

    Has that icon disappeared for a certain BBM contact... or all?

    there is no BBM PC app yet

  • Z10, no bbm over mobile network

    My Z10 (10.3.1) does not connect to BB services when not on wifi.  Ie there is not bb icon on the top right of the screen when on mobile network. What's curious to me at least, is that on the mobile network, bbm video and voice calls work, just not the messages. Once on wifi, the bb logo appears and all is well. I contacted my provider (Telus) and they suggested that is was a sim problem or a phone problem. I had the sim replaced and it did not solve the problem. This occured today July 26 and its been about 9 hours like this. How can I get bbm to work again please?  ( I am currently upgradeing to OS 10.3.2.2 Thanks

  • Q10 BBM

    First of all I want to know if the BBM is part of the OS update or not, because I can't find the app in app world!
    Secondly, I have few problems with the BBM:
    1) I can't see some symbols characters.
    2) It doesn't vibrate when I receive a PING!!!
    3) The display pictures most of the time are very small, I have to rezise the picture or just save someone else's dp.
    4) I don't have the video or voice call features.
    Finally, I have to wait like 8-9 seconds when I switch the keyboard to another language.
    Please help!

    as far as I know, for the Z10 and the Q10, BlackBerry Messenger is part of the OS.
    1) what symbols are you talking about?
    4) are you using 3G or Wifi? Does Etisalat allows you to use BBM Voice and BBM video?

    Hello I have a problem with a z10 when I make a voice call over bbm it trys to-connect for 10 seconds and then disconnects , the phone I am calling is a 9350 software up to date , and up to date on z10 , any suggestions apriciated

    1/ Check your brandwidth, make sure you're on Wifi network to fix latency issues
    2/ 9350 ? Does it support BBM video ? I don't think so ! Wait for others answers to be sure
