BBP_CREATE_BE_PO_NEW: custom fields

Hi all,
I'm working on SRM 5.0 with an extended classic scenario.
I have a question, due to the fact I can't prove it:
i have got some custom fields for PO, the same that are in R3. When the PO is replicated in the backend, I have to implement the badi BBP_CREATE_BE_PO_NEW, or I need to implement the badi only if I want to change some values of they?

You can use the BADI BBP_ECS_PO_OUT_BADI in SRM for mapping or modifying the values.
But you have to implement the BADI BBP_ECS_PO_OUT_BADI in R/3 system to map the user defined fields appropiately.
The fields will be passed into a separate table during the BAPI call to R/3

  • SC-Customer-Fields in BADI BBP_CREATE_BE_PO_NEW

    Dear all,
    I have created SC-Costomer-Fields (Structure CI_BBP_ITEM & CI_BBP_ITEM_SC). In the BADI I don't have this customer-fields, and I ask me why?
    In the old BADI BBP_CREATE_PO_BACK we had the table IT_CUF_ITEM where the customer-fields where included. In the knew one, it's missing.
    What can I do to use this customer-fields in this BADI??
    thanks for help

    Hi
    Which SRM version are you using ?

  • Custom fields from Shopping cart not getting transferred

    We have added a few custom fields in both Shopping cart and PO screens.
    Somehow when a cart is getting converted to a PO, the values maintained in the shopping cart are not flowing in to the PO.
    Please advice as to what needs to be done to take care of this issue.
    Thanks.

    Also in your badi BBP_CREATE_BE_PO_NEW, try to implement the code in the similar way which I did for creating PR in Backend.
    DATA : ls_req_item TYPE bapi_te_requisition_item.
      LOOP AT is_sc_document-item INTO wa_sc_item.
        wa_extension-structure        = 'BAPI_TE_REQUISITION_ITEM'.
        ls_req_item-preq_item         = wa_sc_item-number_int.
        ls_req_item-z_req_type_db     = wa_sc_item-z_req_type_db.
        wa_extension-valuepart1       = ls_req_item.
        APPEND wa_extension TO cs_rq_document-it_extensionin.
        CLEAR wa_extension.
        ls_req_item-preq_item         = wa_sc_item-number_int.
        ls_req_item-z_asset_sub_cat   = wa_sc_item-z_asset_sub_cat.
        wa_extension-valuepart1       = ls_req_item.

  • PO Custom Field not getting filled from Shopping Cart

    Hi Gurus,
    I am new to SRM. The requirement I had was to add a new field to the SC. I read several posts and articles on this but couldn't find the solution to it. I managed to do this modifying the corresponding structures in SRM and making the necessary changes in R/3 so the new filed can be seen in ME21/22/23N.
    I checked Andreas Milbredt document to achieve it as mentioned:
    Document: How to transfer custom fields from SRM to Backend.
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/index?rid=/library/uuid/20b36c12-685f-2c10-4fb4-ba2e0b969c27
    After that, when I create a Shopping Cart, the value in the New field is not transferred to the Back end.
    I coded the following BADIs and User Exits:
    In SRM:
    BBP_CUF_BADI_2 (MODIFY_SCREEN) ->To enable or disable the field depending on conditions. Works fine.
    BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI (BBP_DOC_CHECK) -> To do some checks. Works Fine
    BBP_CREATE_BE_PO_NEW (FILL_PO_INTERFACE1) ->Here I fill structures BAPI_TE_MEPOITEM and BAPI_TE_MEPOITEMX. I added another u2018Xu2019 to indicate the new field to BAPI_TE_MEPOITEMX. But I think I am not doing it right. This structure BAPI_TE_MEPOITEM/X, does the order of the fields correspond to the order of the fields in any of these 3 structures (which I am using)?
    INCL_EEW_PD_HISTORY_CSF
    INCL_EEW_PD_ITEM_CSF
    INCL_EEW_PD_ITEM_CSF_SC
    I also checked the following link:
    Map a custom SRM field to a standard field in R/3
    In R/3 I populated the Exits Andreau2019s mentions on his article. Am I missing anything else?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ernesto.

    Hi Ernesto,
    You can find out how your BAPI structure is being populated (by generating the test data ) using FBGENDAT program and activating the BAPI_PO_CREATE1 (and you will need to set the parameter for the specified user id)... This will provide you ability to execute the BAPI offline and figure out what is happening...

  • Transfer customer fields from EBP to R/3

    Hey,
    we have a SRM-system with a R/3 backend and added some customer fields to the accounting or purchase orders. The question now is how to transfer the cuf-data from SRM to R/3.
    There are the function-modules like B470_PO_CREATE of package BBP_BD which are dealing with the data and include the cuf-data. For my understanding i should write my own driver by copying such a function-module and call the remote BAPI (also a copy of the SAP-functionmodule BAPI_PO_CREATE) that has the cuf-data as import (original SAP doesnt have that) and save them according to that.
    The question now is how can i make SRM using the new functionmodule and what is the best practice for that problem.
    thanks for your help.
    best regards,

    Hi,
    In classic scenario, use BADI BBP_CREATE_PO_BACK.
    In extended classic scenario or direct procurement, use BADI BBP_ECS_PO_OUT_BADI.
    Depending on your SRM version, Use either of the BADIs in SRM
    BBP_CREATE_BE_PO_NEW
    BBP_CREATE_PO_BACK
    BBP_ECS_PO_OUT_BADI

  • How to transfer SRM PO Condition Type and Custom fields to ECC?

    Hi All,
    I have a scenario to transfer SRM Line item condition types and few custom fields to ECC.
    I have found the following things but structure  'CI_EKPODB' does not exists in ECC.
    I am using 'SRM 5.00' and 'SAP ECC 6.0'.
    NOTE: I have to transfer condition records when PO is getting created / modified.
    1) Earlier I was planning to use BADI 'BBP_CREATE_BE_PO_NEW' in SRM and this will transfer the data to ECC in case of PO
        Creation.
                   It contains the Condition fields to be passed to ECC.
    But i am unable to implement the same, whenever i create implementation when i click 'Activate' its getting activate then after few seconds its getting deactivate, i think this is because this BADI is not allowed for multiple use and SAP has already made one implementation on the same.
    2) I need to implement BADI 'BBP_ECS_PO_OUT_BADI' in SRM and 'BBP_PO_INBOUND_BADI' in ECC.
    SRM BADI will pass verified field details to ECC as a custom fields
           It does not contains the Condition fields to be passed to ECC, so i was planning to pass the same as custom field(s).
    ECC BADI 'BBP_PO_INBOUND_BADI'  will be used to map the fields to correct place and this should work.
    i need to modify the structures and pass all the custom fields (z-fields) - (CI_EKPODB but does not exists kindly suggest) as data.
    Other required details:
          Transfer of PO does not supported by SAP for service PO's, any suggestion on the same?
    Expecting quick reply from your end.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Hemant

    Naresh,
    Thanks for quick response.
    My concern is this BADI 'BBP_CREATE_BE_PO_NEW' will trigger only in case of creation, not when PO is changes.
    I have to transfer condition types and custom fields to ECC in both the case (create / change)
    If i have to do this only in case of creation then i can pass Condition types / custom fields then i can use parameter 'CS_PO1_DOCUMENT' from method 'FILL_PO_INTERFACE1'.
    this parameter contains 'IT_POCOND', 'IT_POCONDX' and 'IT_EXTENSIONIN' as parameter  so my problem will be solved.
    But i dont think this will trigger in both the cases and 2nd thing i cann't implement the BADI since its not marked for multiple use so i am unable to implement the same.
    Kindly correct me if i am wrong.
    Once again thanks for your reply.
    Please suggest on the same.

    Hemant

    Hi,
    further Info:
    After debugging  it was found that  this BADI BBP_CREATE_BE_PO_NEW  it triggering the below standard implementation .
    BBP_CREATE_ICC_BR_PO(BAdI Implementation to Transfer Brazilian Fields) only and the BADI is of type single Use.
    But we have our custom implementation added to the BADI " BBP_CREATE_BE_PO_NEW" which is not read and made inactive automatically by the system.
    Let us  know if this is a standard behavior and please help to proceed further.

  • Adding Custom Field to Shopping Cart and PO, Classic Scenario

    We are running SRM 7.0 with ECC 6.0 as the backend and using the Classic scenario. I want to add a custom field to the shopping cart and have the data transfer over to a custom field (of the same name) on the purchase order to the ECC side. I have already added the field to the shopping cart and have the data saving successfully there on the SRM side. What I am having trouble with is getting the data from the custom field to go over to ECC on the purchase order.
    I have extended the Shopping Cart and Purchase Order item structures through configuration on SRM. This has added the fields to the INCL_EEW_PD_ITEM_CSF_SC and INCL_EEW_PD_ITEM_CSF_PO structures, as described in note 672960 (do i need to extend the PO structure on SRM if using the Classic scenario?). I have also extended the CI_EKPODB and CI_EKPODBX structures on ECC as described in note 458591. So the placeholders are there.
    I feel like there must be something I am missing. The OSS note 458591 suggests that just adding the fields to the needed structures will cause the data to transfer, but this does not appear to be the case.
    I have an implementation of BBP_CREATE_BE_PO_NEW that I can use, but do not see where to add the data in the output parameters of that BADI. Is there a BADI I need to implement on the ECC side?
    Any help in this issue would be greatly appreciated.

    Dug around a little bit more and stumbled onto this article which solved it for me: [How to transfer custom fields from SRM to ECC|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/20b36c12-685f-2c10-4fb4-ba2e0b969c27?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true]
    In BADI BBP_CREATE_BE_PO_NEW I had to add some code to fill in the CS_PO1_DOCUMENT-EXTENSIONIN parameter table with the structure for the BAPI_TE_MEPOITEM structure on the ECC side. The tricky part is creating a string representation of that structure with the correct offset. And it isn't as easy as just counting up the number of characters in SE12. For example, looking at my BAPI_TE_MEPOITEM structure in SE12, my custom field appears to start on character 157, but in reality, I had to offset the writing of my value to character 143. I guess it depends on what types are in there.
    But once that gets figured out, it works well. As long as the custom field is added correctly to the CI_EKPODB append structure (which is appended to BAPI_TE_MEPOITEM), the data gets tranferred over in the ExtensionIn table, and SAP automatically knows what to do with the data as long as you have everything in ExtensionIn aligned correctly.
    Thanks for the help everyone!

  • Updating Custom Field on Shopping Cart after PO is Ordered in SRM

    After a PO is approved or rejected in SRM's UWL, the customer requires that a custom field on the related Shopping Cart gets updated with 'approved' or 'rejected'.
    I know that the save badi, BBP_DOC_SAVE_BADI, gets hit after approval/rejection of POs. We currently are using the function module BBP_PD_SC_UPDATE in the doc save badi to update this custom field.
    Is there anywhere else we could update the SHC? We don't think this solution is the best. Does SRM have any standard SHC update process after a follow on document is updated that we could put an enhancement in?
    Thanks!!

    The BADI BBP_CREATE_BE_PO_NEW gets executed after approval as well. It is part of the PO creation process and allows you to modify the PO document before it is finalized.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to populate a custom field of a Std. SAP Tx with BAPI usage 2 Load data

    Hi Experts,
    For instance, I created a custom field (say, custom_field_1) on a screen of standard SAP tx(say, ME21N) by using screen exit. And in order to populate the data into it (custom_field_1), will use the Function user exits of this Tx(ME23N).
    1) In next step, Where Where I have to add this field, apart from appending the same custom field in EKKO/EKPO table or any other related table; Extending the corresponding IDOC or creating a new Custom ÍDOC type? like What about BAPI?
    2) If I got a text file with the data (including the data for this custom_field_1 too) and I have been asked to load it into SAP, then, I decided to use BAPI (say, BAPI_PO_CREATE or CREATE1) to create the data, So, How to handle this custom field, I mean, In which BAPI structure I have to pass this custom_field_1 data? ( Iguess, for some BAPIs EXTENSIONIN structures are provided, sorry if am wrong!)
    Thank you.

    for example if you added field in the  VBAP table  then you can pass the custome field values like below
         move 'BAPE_VBAP' to lwa_extension-structure.
          lwa_bape_vbap-vbeln = lwa_final-vbeln.
          lwa_bape_vbap-posnr = lv_posnr.
          move lwa_final-yyslotid to  lwa_bape_vbap-new custome field.
          move lwa_bape_vbap to lwa_extension-valuepart1.
          append  lwa_extension to  lt_extension.
          clear  lwa_extension.
          move 'BAPE_VBAPX' to lwa_extension-structure.
          lwa_bape_vbapx-vbeln = lwa_final-vbeln.
          lwa_bape_vbapx-posnr = lv_posnr.
          move 'X' to lwa_bape_vbapx--new custome field.
          move lwa_bape_vbapx to lwa_extension-valuepart1.
          append  lwa_extension to  lt_extension.
          clear  lwa_extension.
    call function 'BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE'
            exporting
              salesdocument    = strcture
              order_header_inx = strcture
            tables
              order_item_in    =strcture
              order_item_inx   = strcture

  • ABAP query using logical database KDF is not populating custom fields

    Hi Experts ,
    I created two following queries
    1.       VENDORCATKDF – uses KDF logical database
    2.       VENDORCATLFA1 – uses table = LFA1
    I’m pulling the same information in both queries:
    ·         Vendor Number
    ·         Country
    ·         Vendor Name
    ·         Vendor Category  (custom fields added to LFA1)
    The results for the query that uses the logical database KDF is incorrect.  It doesn’t pull in the flag on the custom field LFA1-ZMRO.   Even though the logical database KDF is made up of the table LFA1 and has these fields.
    Is there something that can be done – so that all of these “custom” category fields under LFA1 (such as LFA1-ZZMRO) – get pulled into queries – when we use the logical database KDF ?

    Hi,
    I have got the error removed by ensuring that fields from one table are a part of one line ( taking help of ruler) only. But the underlying problem remains, the output is not ALV but List output.
    I do not think having additional fields in the query is reason for this.
    Is it bcoz iI am adjusting the output length of columns to ensure no hierarchical error ?
    Can we not have a query using LDB which is shown as SAP List?

    In material master How to add a new field on Basic data 1 view
    Regards,
    Amit

    Hi,
    please trye this :
    Please make sure u implemented: methods PUT_DATA_TO_SCREEN and GET_DATA_FROM_SCREEN as they are  required for data transport. These methods are called from within the program of the application at PBO or PAI .
    See below example code:
    PBO:
    MODULE initialize OUTPUT.
    CLEAR: sflight, ok_code.
    IF exit IS INITIAL.
    CALL METHOD cl_exithandler=>get_instance
    CHANGING
    instance = exit.
    ENDIF.
    CALL METHOD cl_exithandler=>set_instance_for_subscreen
    EXPORTING
    instance = exit.
    ENDMODULE.
    The factory method is used to create an instance of the adapter class. You then declare the instance using the public static method SET_INSTANCE_FOR_SUBSCREEN to allow the data for display on the screen to be used in the function group of the user or in the module pool.
    MODULE data_for_subscreen OUTPUT.
    program = sy-repid.
    dynpro = sy-dynnr.
    CALL METHOD cl_exithandler=>get_prog_and_dynp_for_subscr
    EXPORTING
    exit_name = 'BADI_SCREEN'
    calling_program = program
    calling_dynpro = dynpro
    subscreen_area = 'SUB'
    IMPORTING
    called_program = program
    called_dynpro = dynpro.
    CALL METHOD exit->put_data_to_screen
    EXPORTING
    flight = sflight
    EXCEPTIONS
    reserved = 01.
    ENDMODULE.
    PAI:
    MODULE user_command_0200 INPUT.
    CASE save_ok.
    WHEN 'BACK'.
    SET SCREEN 100.
    WHEN 'SAVE'.
    PERFORM save_flights.
    WHEN '+EXT'.
    CALL METHOD exit->get_data_from_screen
    IMPORTING
    flight = sflight
    EXCEPTIONS
    reserved = 01.
    ENDCASE.
    ENDMODULE.
    The method GET_PROG_AND_DYNP_FOR_SUBSCR and the input/output parameters specified above are used to determine the name of the customer program and the name of the subscreen. The method PUT_DATA_TO_SCREEN which is called at PBO as well as the method GET_DATA_FROM_SCREEN which is called at PAI are used to transport the data to be displayed.
    These methods are implemented by the user:
    When you define a screen enhancement, you are strongly recommended to provide sample code for the methods PUT_DATA_TO_SCREEN and GET_DATA_FROM_SCREEN. This code is automatically copied when you create an implementation and can be added to if required. The user of the BAdI definition should not be responsible for the data transport.

    There is a PDP (say ProjectInfo):
    There is a Custom Field added to that PDP (say Project Status = In Progress).
    Now for ProjectA, someone has checked out and changed the Custom Field "Project Status" from "In Progress" to "Closed".
    I need to fetch the information regarding who has changed that Custom field.
    In which direction should I move: Event Handlers, PSI???? Any other stuff?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Shravan

    Hi Shravan,
    I'm not a developer but I do know that you can use an event handler pushing the resource name and date in custom fields.
    Another way is to use a 3rd-party tool like
    FluentPro Audit Tool.
    Hope this helps,
