BC4J, Find Panel: How do I make it different than input?

I have a table where I auto generate the employee number, but I want to be able to find a record on this. I set the view object to not updateable but queriable, but it doesn't show up in the find dialog. What did I do wrong?

You should be able to get any window, whether accidently closed or just hiding, but going to Window up the top. And have a look there including the sub-menu's.

I have several email accounts in Mail. When I go to Preferences> Accounts I see them. The account on top of the list is the default one for sending mail. I want one of the lower ones instead. Can I select this or move it to the top position (if that is what gives it priority)?

Open Mail as usual and, at the sidebar, press the arrow next to "Inbox", so all your email accounts will show up under it. Simply hold the Command key and drag the email account you want to use by default to the first position. This will make it the default mail account to send emails

Web app: How can I make a web app input form post directly to a sub category

Please, how can I go about this? Some of the ideas coming to my head is to replace the section I require with the generated webapp input form code with this:

I Trickster, pardon me if am not clear enough. But this is it. I have many BC Categories setup for different web apps. If you use the module {module_categorylist} only. BC will populate all the categories on the BC site, instead of a specific category relevant to the web app. If it is {module_categorylist, categoryID}, you are telling BC to use the the categories in a specific category.
When you say that you want to assign a web app item to a sub-category... do you mean the built in BC categories . I want to do this via the web app input form not through the admin.
Do you have a top-level category that contains all the relevant sub categories that the user could use to classify/categorize the web app item upon submission? Yea I have a top category that the user could use. It is this top-level category ID, I have used with the categorylist module.

You have provided the solution to that with the hidden input field code you shared earlier. The sub-category has been pre setup as usual in BC and the sub-category ID would be used as you instructed in the code. This is intended for another web app that won't require users selecting a category. This is the example you shared:

Using my example above I was able to test and have it working (using {module_categorylist} with the SELECT element) on a web app input form and when I submitted the new web app item it was classified in the category I chose. Yes Trickster, it works for me too that way. the web app item was classified perfectly, but if you go to your the web app item submitted at the admin-end, you will discover in that the category the user selected in the front-end is not selected, even though the item was classified

The option selected by the user is not captured. It often defaults to the 2012, even when the user selected 2013 and the item has been classified as 2013.

How is a call handled differently than data usage?

During a hurricane in the fall, my daughter was unable to make calls with her cell phone, but she was able to reach people by texting. She's on our plan, and has an Android. I just got an Android.
I'd like to know how she was able to send and receive text messages, when she couldn't send or receive phone calls, and if texting, email, and internet access are likely to be more available than calling during hurricanes or other serious weather conditions. My husband and I are looking at communications options, evaluating the cost of our options against the likelihood of being able to call for help if we need it or reassuring loved ones we're all right during hurricanes, ice storms, etc.
Also, am I right in assuming that if we can't make a phone call, 911 service would also be down?

Texting is handled through a small data connection via the phone line. I suspect the towers were overloaded with calls, that is why a call could not be made, but a text could occur. Towers can handle thousands of texts as they are just short 2-5k size bursts of info.
Calls tie up a connection on a tower and if loaded, you can not call out or have someone call you.
You are correct, if the tower is overloaded or down you can not make a 911 call from that specific location. But a 1/2 mile or more down the road, you may hit another tower and it may work

I'm looking to find out how I can make text and/or images fade and appear on my web page. This affect is used on the adobe home page where text fades and other text appears.
If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great. I think need to know flash. but any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

System.in DOES read from the command shell that you start the app in.
What you don't have is a prompt.
You should know about Java Almanac. There are code samples for simple things like I/O that everyone should know about. There's an example there to help you.
