BC4J VSM - Unable to determine the value of OC4J_HOME

I'm on step 8 of the "Configuring the application" section and I'm getting the error "Unable to determine the value of OC4J_HOME" after running bc4j2oc4j.bat.
Seems that the instruction assume that the OC4J_HOME is already set, so I set a system variable OC4J_HOME to C:\oracle\JDev903.1\j2ee\home. I then re-run bc4j2oc4j.bat and get the same error and now I'm totally lost.
Also, given that I using W2K and want to get the BC4J-VSM app deployed to 9iAS, not the stand-alone server, should not the OC4J_HOME be set to 9iAS?
Need some help.
Thanks,
Bill G...

Hi Neelesh,
I have set the OC4J_HOME as you suggested and then ran the bc4j2oc4j script. I then started JDeveloper, opened the VSM workspace, created db connections, made sure that Struts Commons classpath is pointing to jars in <JDEV_HOME>/jakarta-struts/librebuilt, then Rebuilt VSM-BC4J.jws. Then tried to run the VSM app within JDeveloper and I get the error listed below from the browser as the app tries to load.

  • Unable to determine the value of component  ''! Workflow error, please help

    Hi All:
I am getting the error "Unable to determine the value of component  ''" and workflows are not getting processed. I found OSS notes 879100 related to this issue but I am new to workflow and not sure where to start from! Here is the notes description:
The workflow WS20500025 ('Service Connection Order Processing') encounters an error directly after being started. The following error messages are displayed in the workflow log:
SWP102: Error at start of an IF branch
WL821: Work item 000000100012: Object FLOWITEM method EXECUTE cannot be executed
    SWF_RUN535: Error '9' when calling service 'SO_OBJECT_SEND'
SWF_RUN534: Problems occurred when generating a mail
WL863: Notification of completion cannot be generated
SWF_EXP_001073: Unable to determine the value of component 'QUOTATION'
SWF_EXP_001072: Error in the evaluation of expression '<???>' for item 1
SWF_RLS_001101: Operator 'GT': The value of the left operand cannot be determined
SWP085: Error when starting work item 000000100012
SWP010: Error when evaluating the IF condition for node 0000000075
    Other terms
Service connection processing, service connection workflow
    Reason and Prerequisites
This is due to a program error.
The checks in the workflow Basis have been made stricter. A query of the type 'Quotation.number > 0' now causes an error if the container element 'Quotation' is not set. This is always the case if the workflow is is running without quotation prcessing, for instance.
    Solution
The error is corrected in the next Support Package.
If you want to implement the corrections manually in your system, change the condition in step 000075 of workflow WS20500025 as follows:
        &IS-U: Kundenangebot& EX
    and &IS-U: Kundenangebot.Verkaufsbeleg& > 0
    Save and activate the workflow.
I am new to workflow and not sure where to start from! Could someone please help me with this? Rewards assured.
    Thanks.

  • Unable to see the values in detail block

    Hello,
I have a master detail block, when I query the form, I am unable to see the values for a particular field(Column), all other columns appear properly in the details block, Upon checking the same table(s) in SQL ( by using the JOIN defined in the where clause of the relationship in Forms) , it shows the relevant records for all fields. So what could be wrong with the Form, please advise.
    Thanks

I have just checked the field its a non-database field which is being used as a LOV column to display a value derived from LOV. How do I make this populate at Query time, as obviously this works when the Form is in a insert mode but not for Query mode. How to make it work for Query ? As it for LOV column and non-database filed, ignore my first suggestion.
Does your non-database filed has associate any column ?
For example, you have SUPPLIER_ID (database column) and SUPPLIER_NAME (non-database column). SUPPLIER_NAME has LOV column. And when selecting supplier name from LOV value also assign at supplier_id.
Now to show supplier name when querying, you have to write POST-CHANGE trigger at supplier_id. like
    SELECT ASSC_CODE INTO :MST_SUPPLIER.ACC_CODE
    FROM ACC_SUB_SUB_CONTROL
    WHERE ASSC_ID=:MST_SUPPLIER.SUPP_ASSC_ID;Hope this helps

I get a normal erro 'cause this variable don't exist...
    Can someone please help me?
    Thanks!!

I think the problem is UME related. I had the same problem once. Try using a system user for searching, instead of the logged on user.
    Like this:
    com.sapportals.portal.security.usermanagement.IUser user = WPUMFactory.getUserFactory().getUser("cmadmin_service");
Please reward the points if this helps.

  • The directory service is missing mandatory configuration information, and is unable to determine the ownership of floating single-master operation roles.

We are in the process of removing a child domain from the forest and are down to two DCs. These are both Server 2008r2 sp1 servers, one physical and virtual (PDC). When I try to remove a DC (not the PDC emulator) I get the following error:

I have checked replication with repadmin /showrepl and all connections were successful. The dcdiag /test:kccEvent test on all servers passed.
Most DCdiag tests are successful. The only failure is on NCSecDesc when running dcdiag /test:NCSecDesc

          Starting test: NCSecDesc

             ......................... DC1-DEV-OFC failed test NCSecDesc
In researching this I find "If you do not plan to add an RODC to the forest, you can disregard this error."
We have not successfully run ADprep /rodcPrep nor do we plan on having any Read-Only DCs, so I think we can ignor this error. We did try running ADprep /rodcPrep but got an LDAP error which I can duplicate if this is important.
Schema and Naming FSMOs are on a DC higher in the forest. RID, PDC, and Infrastructure FSMOs for the child domain are on the Virtual server (PDC).
Any guidance on where to go from here would be greatly appreciated as I have no more hair on my head to pull.

Ok... I ran repadmin /showreps /v again and it shows no errors

I fixed it by reinstalling util-linux-ng and kernel26, however, I run into this issue now. http://www.pastie.org/2163181 < Link to /var/log/pacman.log for the month of July, just in case. Yes, I bought a new ATI/AMD Radeon HD 5450 this Saturday, but it seemed to work fine till this broke and it works fine on Ubuntu too, so I suppose we can rule it out.

Autodetection failed on your first image, in both your previous kernel installs:
[2011-07-04 16:14] find: `/sys/devices': No such file or directory
Which means that sysfs was not mounted. You should be able to boot from the fallback image, which does not use autodetect. Figure out why /sys isn't mounted, as well, and fix that.
This is also a somewhat crappy bug in mkinitcpio that lets you create an autodetect image that's useless. It'll be fixed in the next version of mkinitcpio that makes it to core.

  • How to determine the value of a Standard Value in a routing operation

    Dear Experts,
Kindly guide me on how to detemine the value of my Standard Value in the  operation of my routing, or in the phase of my Master Recipe.
I mean what determines the value that I enter for the Standard Values: Machine  and Labor in the phase of my Master Recipe?

    Hi,
In the Routing / Master Recipe, the standard values are based on the lot size.
For Example, if you have the lot of 100 KG, then in recipe the machine time will be 2 hr and labor time will be 2 hours, it means to make 100 KG we require 2 hrs of machine and 2 hrs of labor.
Normaaly all production manager / supervisor will have the date for the hours. The system will calculate will respect to batch / lot size.
If you have order for 1000 KG, then the system will assign 20 hrs for Machine and 20 hrs for labor.
This will be used for Capacity planning and Costing.
Capacity plan here your requirement is 20 hrs for machine and labor. If you have a reacto which wil run for 24 hrs a day, then the order will be completed in a day.
Costing is concerned, all std. valur key will be assigned with an activity type in work center / Resources and the prices for activity type / cost center will be maintained in KP26.
Based on the cost and hours, the system will allocate cost for the order (it will be planned cost). When you are confirming the order you will enter the actual time for the operation, then that will be your actual cost.
Pl do a sample test scenario in your sand box, and surely you will understand more.
The data for Routing / Recipe will be provided by the production manager of the plant and activity price will be provided by the finance team.
    Thanks,
    JK

  • How to determine the values for Model Parameters in Forecasting

    Hello Gurus,
On basis we will determine the values  for the Model Parameter values (Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Sigma).
    Thanks,
    Siva.

    Dear Siva,
the values are dependent from the forecast stratey and forecast model.
The forecast strategy determines the method or the techniques that are used to create the forecast. You set the forecast strategy in the forecast profile.
There are some settings that you must make for certain forecast strategies. The table below shows you which settings these are. You make these settings either in the univariate forecast profile or under the Model and Parameters tabs of the Forecast view on the demand planning desktop.
Model initialization is the process by which the system determines the necessary model parameters for the chosen forecast model. These parameters are in following link:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm50/helpdata/en/ac/216b74337b11d398290000e8a49608/frameset.htm
I hope this helps you further.
    Regards,
    Tibor

  • How to determine the value of  -D__SUNPRO_CC?

Could any body tell me how to determine the value of -D__SUNPRO_CC? Iam now using Sun Studio 9.
    Thanks in advance.

The C++ Users Guide describes all the predefined macros set by the compiler.
The __SUNPRO_CC macro is a 3-digit hex number. The first digit is the C++ compiler major version number, which is 5 for all releases from WorkShop 5 in 1998 through the current release, Sun Studio 10. The second digit is the minor version number, increasing by 1 for each release in the major release series. The 3rd digit is a place holder for the very rare (none since 1994) cases when we have a micro version number. It is zero in current releases.
The current compiler release is C++ 5.7, so __SUNPRO_CC is set to 0x570.
You can see the macro setting by running
    CC -dryrun -c foo.cc
and look for the -D__SUNPRO_CC =0xNNN on the ccfe command line.

  • Unable to determine the install root path for the LabVIEW Runtime Engine

    Hi,
i have an issue with using a LabVIEW interop assembly in a .NET application. I get an exception "Unable to determine the install root path for the LabVIEW Runtime Engine" when calling the assembly.
The little test program is attached below. It's called dotNETHost.exe. If you excecute the programm a dialog with an button appears. Clicking the button shall open another dialog (the LabVIEW Interop component). But the only thing I get is the exception message. The ZIP folder also contains the complete exception meassage (ExceptionMessange.jpg & ExceptionDetails.txt).
The Interop Assembly was built with LabVIEW 2011. We use Visual Studio 2010 and .NET 4.0.. The dotNETHost.exe.config file is prepared as mentioned in Knowledge base - Loading .NET 4.0 assemblies.
The Interop assembly contains only one simple dialog (loop is finished by clicking OK) without calling any other VIs or other DLL's.  In case of this there's also no support directory generated by the build process.
I have no idea why it doesn' work. I hope anyone can help me.
    Thanks in advance

This may be unrelated, but Labview and .Net4.0 dont work well together. Not yet anyway. I had to compile my assembly in 3.5 to get it to work.

  • Unable to determine the number of SMSs generated by the message

In JES5, I tested the SMS logging with two options; standard and xml.
In both cases, I was unable to determine the number of SMSs generated by the message.
    However, such information can be found in the debug log;
If i enable the debug logging, the desired information is available:
10:15:41.59: 2-fragment(2250): The message will be sent as 4 SMS messages
Nevertheless, Debug logging cannot be enabled all the time since it is pretty verbose.
It was said that XML based logging released in JES5 will include the number of messages in the mail.log_current.
But i dont find such information in it.
Would anyone please tell me if this is applicable?
what parameters should be changed or modified in order to make such
information appear in the mail.log file?
    Thanks!

I've not examined the doc, but I suspect that at least one of the option logging settings will do that for you. Please do have a look at the "channel option files" and the logging levels.
