BCP Microsoft Platform integration with Solution Manager
Hi
Is it possible to integrate BPC Microsoft platform 7.0 and 7.5 with Solution Manager?
If so how? Is there documentation available explaining the process?
Hi Johan,
There is some level of integration available with Solution Manager. To set up your system for Diagnostics, refer to "End-to-End Root Cause Analysis System Landscape Setup Guide", which is available on Service Marketplace at [https://service.sap.com/sapidb/011000358700000074392009E|https://service.sap.com/sapidb/011000358700000074392009E], and follow the chapters that apply to Planning and Consolidation.
You can also access this document by going to [http://service.sap.com/diagnostics|http://service.sap.com/diagnostics] and selecting the Media Library link under the "More Documentation" section. The document is labeled "SAP Solution Manager Landscape Setup Guide".
Thanks.

Help Needed: HP QTP/UFT integration with Solution Manager
Hi Experts,
We are trying to make HP UFT 12.00 work with Solution Manager 7.1 for enabling automated testing for our client. We have successfully linked HP UFT and Solution Manager and were able to record and execute a test script created in HP UFT with no problem.
Unfortunately, when we tried creating a new test script in HP UFT and tried saving it so that it is stored in Solution Manager, we get the following error. We have reviewed the integration procedures and authorization objects needed and it seems nothing was missed.
Anybody familiar with the said error or any suggestions where to look will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Detailed steps for replicating the issue:
Connect to Solution Manager through Tools -> SAP Solution Manager Connection…
2. Open Unified Functional Testing (UFT) 12.00
3. Click File -> New -> Test
4. Type even a dummy script in the Action window
5. Save Test Script by clicking File -> Save <test name> As…
6. Fill out dialogue box with Test name and Test version then click Ok. Note: I used Z* name
7. Error Message appears
Note:
One observation is that, error message only appears when trying to save a Test that is not currently in Solution Manager. If I try saving the dummy test from above as “Z_CREATE_SALES_ORDER_02” (exists in Solution Manager),
I am asked if I want to overwrite existing test in Solution Manager.Hi,
I have configured the solman in accordance with UFT12.0 but still un-able to make conenction to the solution manager.

BMC Control M integration with Solution Manager
Hi
I have some question:
Is it possible to integrate BMC Control M with Solution manager?
Is SAP have plugin or we need to develop?
If we integrate then what is the benefit?
Please guide me.
Thanks
DeeAs Matues has provided that BCM Control-M is a supported job scheduling tool
Further to answer your question SAP Note 499040 explains that XBP interface is required for external job scheduling tools
You will find several documents that describe the XBP interface in detail at
http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/nw-scheduling.
So you will need to use this interface to use the external job scheduling tool

NWBC integration with Solution Manager (Workcenters)
Hi,
We want to integrate NWBC with the SolMan workcenters to give an "easy" acess to SolMan to our managers.
We found the service "/default_host/sap/bc/solman/nwbc/" in SICF so the integration should be possible but it doesn't work, I guess that some customizing must be done.
Is there any documentation, guideline etc. about how to make this configuration?
Thanks in advance,
JonHi,
Thanks so much for the info. We followed the configuration steps from the "Solman 7.0 Ehp1 configuration guide" and we were able to configure NWBC 1.0 with our SolMan. We didn't find any configuration guide for NWBC 3.0. Is it possible to configure NWBC 3.0 with SolMan?
As already explained, now we are able to access with the NWBC 1.0 to SolMan workcenters. However, when we try to open any Abap transaction we get the following error "Scripting is disabled by the server". We set parameter "sapgui/user_scripting" to "TRUE" and now we don't get the mentioned error but it starts loading the Abap transaction and it never ends. Is there anything more to be done?
Thanks again!

Cannot run HP QTP 11 in integrated mode with Solution Manager 7.1
Hi,
I have setup qtp to work with solution manager 7.1. QTP works in standalone mode with no issues. as soon as I try and use it in integrated, i.e. launch qtp from solution manager, the message "failed to start external test tools quicktest professional" displays. When I click the back button the message "error during method call in OLE API" displays.
Using qtp in integrated mode worked previously on the solution manager 7.1 system. Since the solution manager 7.1 system was moved to a new datacenter it stopped working. I am not sure if this could have had an impact.
I have tested qtp with several different solution manager boxes and it works perfectly in integrated mode. please advise what server side settings i need to consider to solve the issue.
Sincerely,
David

Are you utlizing SAP's Quality Center with Integration to Solution Manager?
Hello,
I am interested in hearing from folks who are utilizing SAP's Quality Center with or without Integration to Solution Manager. Please post your experience on setting this up and realizing the benefits, i.e. efforts involved, what features of HPQC you are using, is it a good tool to use for integrated SAP testing etc.
Thanks in advance for your help!
AbuHi
I luv solman so if u ask me i can do all with solman itself and say not to go with Quality center
but again it is upto project requirement
it is very easy to build the automated scripts in QTP etc used with Quality center but again bit more complicated in ECATT
its upto the ur decision but if u r gng with manual test case management forgot quality center and go with Solman
So far i have done 5 Test Management implementation including both type of test casees automatic and manual and all are managed with solman
moreover if u get service desk configured in place then its integrated with solman test management whic helps u a lot.....
one step ahead go for Change management.
Hope it ans ur query

System Monitoring with Solution Manager Ehp1
Hi,
I'm Tomas Piqueres, and I'm working in a VAR SAP with Solution Manager.
Recently, we installed Solution Manager Ehp1 and we are trying to configure it for System Monitoring. When I worked with Solution Manager SP17 I used to go to transaction RZ21 to add the system I wanted to monitoring and then put the SID and RFCs of the system.
Now with Solution Manager Ehp1, when I create the system in transaction RZ21, first I have to set the Component Type to Be Monitored and then the SID, Message Server Logon Group, the client and user are set automatically, and the password I've set to user CSMREG.
when I fill all the entries, I can see the RFCs used for the monitoring of the system. Those RFCs are set automatically:
<SID>_RZ20_COLLECT
<SID>_RZ20_ANALYZE
I can't edit those RFCs, so I have to create it manually. I check that RFCs destination works fine and both pass the authorization test, so when I try to save the system at transaction RZ21, I see the following errors:
<SID>_RZ20_COLLECT_123539Error when opening an RFC connection
Error during remote call of SAL_MS_GET_LOCAL_MS_INFO function: Error when opening an RFC connection
Error during remote call of SALC function: Error when opening an RFC connection
Error during remote call of RFC1 function: Error when opening an RFC connection
I've been looking for information about those errors and how to monitoring with Solution Manager Ehp1, but I haven't found anything usefull.
Please, Could you help me?
Thanks and regards,
Tomas.Tomas,
I need to configure EWA from my Solman system and I completed the steps (defining and creation of RFC destinations to the target systems from my Solman system). I downloaded the lates ccmsagent file from the market place based my target system configurations.
