BDC FOR VL02N FOR Batch DETERMINATION --ERROR IN BACKGROUND

HI,
I am running a BDC in Background Mode for VL02N Transaction for Batch Determination. When i run this BDC in Foreground its working Fine, But when i use Background Mode its not working.
Error in Messtab : LIPS-POSNR(1).
Flow is like : Vl02n - enter delivery..then select a material in that delivery and click on batchdetermination.
So its giving me error in LIPS-POSNR(1).
Can u suggest something..

Hi,
Check whether proper ok-code has been assigned to the line to be selected in back ground, in foreground as there is always a manual intervention,we will never come to know these kind of trivial issues,

Hi Waaseem,
Post the error shown by SAP ... then we can suggest something.. Apart from this please check that in older version was there any exit or custom development was used for the batch determination. Sometimes during SPDD & SPAU in upgradation we miss some object which causes this type of issues

Batch determination error

Hi All,
        While posting the goods issue(PGI) i am facing the following error
5C\QError E     VU 010 Document is incomplete: You cannot post goods movement 35\QLong text exists 0,000
5C\QError E     VL 605 10 The batches are not defined for delivery item 000010 5F\QNo long text exists BA-6001 Test - BA 1,000 PC
5C\QError E     IO 206 10 Item 000010 requires exactly 1 serial numbers for the asset 5F\QNo long text exists BA-6001 Test - BA 1,000 PC
5C\QError E     VU 010 10 Document is incomplete: You cannot post goods movement 35\QLong text exists BA-6001 Test - BA 1,000 PC
Here batch determination should happen automatically with serial nos generated at the time of goods receipt.
I have checked the batch configuration, where in i have not noticed any configuration missing.
Kindly help me out in resolving this issue.

Batch Determination Error in SD

Hi All,
I am getting an error while activating the Batch Management Box under Sales:general/Plant while creating MM01.The error is Batch Management requirement cannot be changed;Choose "Display errors".Can Anybody help me out on this

Hi Sree,
For an existing Material, for which already GR done will throw the error, if you put Batch Management relevent Tick.
For a newly created material system will not give any message of this sort..
Pl. inform us the error message for the new material then we will be in a position to proceed further with the discussion..

Batch Input error in background in fb05

Hi All
I am trying to clear vendor open items for document numbers from BSIK table.
i am doing this using fb05 transaction, checking the 'post with clearing' option.
The program creates a batch input session.
When i process the session in foreground, the vendor document is cleared and a new clearing document is posted.
However, if i try to process the session in background , we get the error "Difference too large for clearing". The error is shown in program SAPMF05A and screen number 700. Whereas, my recording does not have this screen number .
Even when i anlyze the session screen flow, i do not see this screen number.
Any pointer on the issue shall be of great help.

I agree that we get this error if the items are not selected.
Could it be that the items are activated by default in foreground mode , and deactivated in the background mode?
Moreover, could you please give some more info about " the std bi RFBIBL00, it supports the trx FB05" ?

Process Order -Batch determination for a BOM material(same batch)

Let us say, a material (ROH) has so many batches as A,B,C & D. Whenever we create a new process order, system has to pick only the particular batch( say -C here) in the process order BOM through batch determination. (during process order creation stage)
1.How to achieve the same ?
2. What are the ways are there to achieve the same ?
3.Is there any Exit for this?

( Because there are so many material without MM-classification view.....and client wants without extending the Classification view for MM master as it suggests same batch for all GI for delivery & GR for purchase.....)...We want only for process order batch determination.....
2. Is there any exit for this ?
3. Is it possible through any kind of Characteristic assignment in the Sort sequence? How?

Automatic Batch determination for process order components

Hi ,
If we maintain the batch entry at MRP2 for the process order component as 3 - automatic batch determination upon order release ,if automatic batch determination is not happening for the order components and system is stopping to enter the batch for the component at order release , what else settings do we need to check ?

Hi MK,
You need to go thru these configurations/setup:
1- CORC: Search Procedure is enter for Order type and Plant combination (PP-PI)
2- Assign the Search Procedure in transaction COR4 or OPL8 (COR4 for PPPI ot OPL8 for PP)
3- Batch Determination condition is maintained in COB1: this will generate the automatic determination of the batches.
4- Take a look of the field Batch Entry in MM02 (MRP2). This was already done by you.
Of course all your batches need to have the corresponding classification and you should assign correctly the search procedure in COB1.
Try with the previous steps and come back if you still don't get the automatic batch determination.

Batch determination for Process order component

Hi,
The Scenario is as follows:
The batch determination should first consume Unrestricted (UR) stock and then only go for consignment (K) stock.
Custom development has been done in BADI to meet the above requirement.
Criteria for selection of UR batches:
If any of the UR stock batches are available for which UR stock u2013 Reserved stock >= component requirement qty , then delete the K batches and push the UR batches only to the next step for Batch determination. The deleted K batches are appended at the last step for display after batch determination as per the requirement.
Now the Client requirement is there should be an option of manual assignment of qty from pre-selected Unrestricted (UR) batch to any of the consigned (K) batch.
When the above is done, the system says the available quantity of batch (K) was corrected to 0,000 PC and the avialable qty is set to ZERO ( but the stock is available for K batch). Is there any way to address this requiremement?
Criteria for selection of K batches:
If any of the UR batches not available for the above condition, Push all the batches ( UR + K) for Batch determination.

Dear Prasad,
if you want K stock ist selected in batch determination you have to run a stock determination within the batch determination. Otherwise you will not get the special stock indicator K in selection result.
Their is a big restriction by using K stock. You have to make sure that you don't use K stock and free stock for the same batch in the same sloc. Otherwise you will run into problems.

but at the time of doing STO, we do automatic delivery(VL10b) at that time we are getting automatic batch determination error.

Go through this IMG path and check is there any settings activated related to the automatic batch determination.
If automatic batch determination is activated deactivate that then check.
Path is
IMG>Logistics general>Batch management>Batch determination and batch check>Activate automatic batch determination in SD

I am setting up MTO scenerion and while creating Delivery, not able to get the batch determination.
While if I use MTS material the batches are determined.
Is there any specific setting I need to do for having the Batches for the MTO batches determined automatically in delivery.

Issues during Component Batch Determination for Process Orders

I am encountering a strange issue during component batch determination of process order.
1. During creation of process order, when I execute batch determination, systems does determination based on strategies we have set and when I click on Copy it gives an error
"Log cannot be saved: Object/subobject not specified"
Message no. BL201
*Diagnosis
Log save cancelled because at least one log contains no object or subobject.
Object and subobject are needed to classify application logs because there are several log types. Only a few logs are managed in main memory at runtime, so this classification is not needed.
If the logs are to be saved in the database, object/subobject must be specified for later retrieval.
Procedure for System Administration
Object/sub object can be passed when a log is created (function module BAL_LOG_CREATE) and changed with BAL_LOG_CHANGE.
The possible values for object and sub object must be configured in transaction SLG0.*
If I save the order with CRTD status and come back again in change mode and do determination, It works fine.
Again when the order is in REL status and do the determination, It gives the same error.
This happens only for a specific plant, In other plants batch determination works in all scenarios.
I checked for all plant related Config for batch determination and coudn't find any discrepancies.
Please advise how to resolve this issue. Thanks in advance for your help

There Is no direct solution for your requirement just try this work around.
While defining the batch determination search strategy for process order in COB1, there is one column Quantity proposal where you can attach the Routines (This is written in ABAB code ) make use of this, define New Routines with ABAB help to fulfill your requirement. Try this if found useful award full points.

Hi,
In BOM if the qty is negative, that means its a By Product from the process. That means you are receiving a new batch of the product. here you need to assign (create) a new number for the batch.

Batch determination for consignment cycle(pick up process)

Hi,
Using consignment fill up process, customer place is filled using movement type 631(W)
Later on customer returns the material we call it pickup process.
During this process I am not able to pick the proper batch in VL01N so that we can do the GR after delivery using VL01N transaction.
In this process, during batch determination I am getting error as "Strategy contains no selection specifications".
Have I missed something?
What could be the reason for this this?

Auto Batch Determination For Stock Transport Order/Replenishment Delivery

All,
I have an issue with my stock replenishment deliveries (STPO, Stock Transfer Plant to Plant via standard MRP/Procurement process with a Purchase Order that is a Stock Transport Order).
One question I have is what module should the configuration be for Auto Batch Determination on deliveries from STPO's, is it SD or MM? The reason I ask is because I have the SD side working just fine for example if I enter a customer order for this material and issue a delivery against it I get a batch automatically assigned according to your search/sort criteria. I know with a Stock Transport you have different item categories etc. and I have flagged them as relevant for ABD.
I have been racking my brain regarding this and I have went through the configuration for both Inventory Management and Sales and Distribution. I have went through the steps several times. I am not seeing what I am missing any help in this arena would be helpful I am getting the following error message when I go to the batch tab on the replenishment delivery "Batch determination is not possible because there is no search procedure". I am at a loss to what configuration is needed. I keep going through the steps and I am not finding whats missing. Any help in this area would be most grateful.

you need to configure batch determination in SD and maintain enteries in the trasaction code V/C5 as below
Sales org + Distribution channel + Division + DL (in salesDoc Ty) + Search procedure + tick check batch
Sales org + Distribution channel + Division + NL (in salesDoc Ty) + Search procedure + tick check batch
also check whether the delivery item category is active for auto. batch determination and maintain the batch condition record in transaction code VCH1
