BDC mapping of LT11 Running Slow
Hello
I have a couple questions, answers for either one will be greatly appreciated.
I have a BDC mapping for transaction LT11 that runs very slow, thus causing lot of locks. Is there a BAPI or Function module that can do a LT11 (Confirm TO Line Item), is there a way to control all the locks?
Is there a Function Module to allow confirmation of multiple TO's at same time?

Specifically for the locks - there is someting called "late material lock" in the configuration. I know it applies to the goods movements, but am not sure about TOs. Look it up.

I've now installed the ad blocker, thrown away the unwanted files, and thrown away a copy of Firefox that Adware said had a problematic extension.
Things are better, but still slow.
Activity Monitor shows that with just Mail, Chrome and Excel running, 2.9GB of my 4GB RAM is used. Opening InDesign (always slow) increase that to 3.2GB. But the graph stays green.
Console shows several potential problems but I don't know if any are significant. In any case I will call my Mac store tomorrow to ask their advice about RAM.

Mac running slow, worse since installing Yosemite from Lion
Mac started to run slow every now and then, updated to yosemite and now getting worse, slow to open programmes like iPhoto (getting jammed when using), websites and switching between the two. Get a coloured wheel often. More worryingly recently when waking from sleep, the left half of my screen is distorted like an old unturned TV!! I am a typical user with little knowledge on how macs work, so am nervous to do much. Have included the etracheck report for info. You OS X installation is defective and needs to be reinstalled.
Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

MacBook Pro running slow please HELP..!!!

Need some help, my MacBook Pro is running slow it takes like 10 - 13 minutes to start, most of the times when I'm going to type something, it doesn't matter which app do I use (Facebook, messages, search on google, it get stuck once in a while and the beach ball appears for a few seconds and then works again, or when I navigate between apps and tried to click on something it takes a while and beach ball comes up I just reinstalled OS X Yosemite again and ran CleanMyMAc and got almost 2 gb deleted, but still the same problem, I use this computer for work on java apps. I ran the EtreCheck and this is the result. Any help on how to kill spotlight? or any suggestions??

The usual results of posting etrecheck output on this site without a full description of the problem are very poor. The better your description, the better the chance of a solution.
For example, if the computer is slow, which specific actions are slow? Is it slow all the time, or only sometimes? What other changes did you make, if any, just before it became slow? Have you seen any alerts or error messages? Have you done anything to try to fix it? Most importantly, do you have a current backup of all data? If the answer to the last question is "no," back up now. Ask if you need guidance. Do nothing else until you have a backup. -

How do we determine if the BW system is running slow? I have a situation where it is taking about 1 hr 30 min to load 700,000 records from the application server with direct mapping and no major transformations. How do i conclude if my BW system is running slow? Is there any documentation on this or benchmarks to analyze this? All and any help is appreciated.

RajThe time taken to load depends on a few factors like the following:
1. network bandwidth
2. system memory on the application server.
3. available processes in the application server to start the job
Make sure to load the master data, activate them and also apply change run before you load the transaction data. If you have secondary indexes, make sure you delete them before laoding data. I will suggest to have sequential load and put all the processes in a process chain. Where ever you can, try to split the package size. But in your case, the no of records is not that much and so you should be fine with one info package.

We have OWB 9.0.4 installed on 9i oracle database. during that time the mappings executed perfect and within the time. Now the database has been upgraded from 9i to 10g. The OWB mappings are running very very slow and we couldnt do as per the schedule hours. Let me know your suggestions and the actions to be taken for resolving it

I have also found that the mapping runs slow if there are data issues related to constrainst, so make sure that your data is clean.
Apart from Analyzing the table u can try other basic tuning techniques as
- No logging option
- Separate table space fot Data and Index; and configure the tables accordingly
- Create Bitmap index for non-unique files, B-tree index for unique

IMac runs slow, restart solves for a few hours ...
Hi, for some week's my iMac has began to run slower. The browsers ( Firefox & Safari ) become unresponsive as do Finder, other App's and the computer generally until i have to force quit and restart. Then everything is fine for several hours until gradually the same issue reoccurs. The longer i leave it , the slower things become until i actually have to power down manually.
When i think back the problems may have started after i had issues with websites not loading properly ( Sky News Uk was my homepage ) I struggled to find a solution but eventually upgraded Adobe flash player for Mac and maybe Microsoft Silverlight and then the sites loaded correctly. I can't remember exactly but i'm pretty sure this was before the slowing down started to be a problem.
I apologize in advance for my poor technical knowledge but any help is appreciated.

The spinning wheel appears after each click. New hard drive, New Ram, software re-installed. Utlilites repaired. Still running slow. Is there a clean up that can help? Any other solutions?
If you restored from TimeMachine or corupted bootable clone, this is likely the problem, you just migrated crap back on. Do a fresh install of everything and only return users files from a storage drive.
If everything was freshly installed (not from backup) then if it's appearing on non-Internet programs, then it sounds like either a bad drive, bad install or corrupted sectors on the new drive (which can occur)
A fresh install of OS X (and everything) again will cure it, however when your erasing you need to use the Security Erase > Zero all Data option first, that will map off the bad sectors. (on 10.7+ it's one section on the slider to the right)
If the drive still has problems after that, then get it exchanged.
If it's appearing only on Internet/network, then it's likely to blame. -
Larger HD, but internet running slower?
I have an iMac G5 which was purchased last year with a 160 GB hard drive. A few weeks ago, the hard drive failed, and I sent it in for repair. There were some delays and problems and ultimately we ended up getting a larger hard drive in compensation for the trouble: 250 GB. I was excited about this, until I turned my computer on. I had to make several software downloads and iTunes downloads, and they took up to ten times as long as they had on the previous hard drive. I don't know if this is an internet thing or something to do with the new hard drive, but any help would be appreciated. Why do downloads which previously took 20 minutes now take five hours?

I'm hesitant to offer advice on G5's -- but there was recently a case of a similar
"running slower" problem with a CoreDuo iMac (much like G5 in many respects).
The solution was to remove a jumper on the drive -- it was also a Seagate, and
Seagate appears to be shipping new drives with the unwanted jumper installed.

As far as firmware ID... there's no specific listing for one, is there another
name for it? I'm not very proficient in the inner workings of the computer.
That's OK, the firmware ID (a.k.a. "Revision") won't mean anything to me for
that drive (there's a known 'issue' with some firmware revs on other models).
However, it might be helpful if you could copy & paste the entire "Serial-ATA"
information listing into a post. It should look something like the listing below.
I'm not looking for anything in particular -- just fishing for possible clues.

Since you didn't mention the database running slow, I'm assuming it is not.
I've seen this behavior before when the server cannot map the incoming IP address to a hostname. Most commonly a misconfigured /etc/nsswitch.conf file or a misconfigured DNS configuration. Not sure this is your issue or not but you might want to investigate. -
MacBook Pro Lag, running slow and to much time to start.

Need some help, my MacBook Pro is running slow it takes like 10 - 13 minutes to start, most of the times when I'm going to type something, it doesn't matter which app do I use (Facebook, messages, search on google, it get stuck once in a while and the beach ball appears for a few seconds and then works again, or when I navigate between apps and tried to click on something it takes a while and beach ball comes up I just reinstalled OS X Yosemite again and ran CleanMyMAc and got almost 2 gb deleted, but still the same problem, I use this computer for work on java apps. I ran the EtreCheck and this is the result. Any help on how to kill spotlight? or any suggestions??
