hi,
i want to upload updation & deletetion of unit of measurment in material master through BDC.
after that client require repot for that , how many are updated or deleted,
clent is asking Transactin code also.
which T code i will suggest and which t code BDC is doing???

Use se38 to run the BDC program for Txn code MM02 for your UOM changes
use Txn codoe SM35 for the details. You can use the Log to know how many records changes has been carried out.

Problem in bdc of material master
Dear all,
I have made BDC for material master . In selection option i selected Quality management view, i completed the recording. while running the prgm its not selecting the qm view fields, so here i cannt upload the record for qm view only, I tried in LSMW also.plz give some solution.

Problem in BDC for Material master Change
Hi,
I have made a BDC to change the material master, I have done the recording with SHDB I want to do changes in Sales data and MRP data, when I do the recording I have selected views and it was 4 , 11 AND 12 VIEW IN select vie option but in some material Classifcation view is maitain and it is coming at 2nd position and my selected views are shiftin by one position due to this BDC is giving error Screen contain no filed -
I sthere any way that I acn directly select the Three views as Sales data , MRP1 and MRP2, because when we do the recording it is not showing the name it is showing as

Uplaoding material master with LSMW
Hi,
I want to create new 1000 material , i want to know the process for uplaaoding sales text and purchase order text is it possbile with normal recording or for text uplaoding i have to folow different procedure,

zafaryou should never load materials by recording method. Use standard/direct input method, BAPI or IDOC method.
Material master is too dynamic to use a static recording.
However, in any method it is possible to load texts.
Texts can even be loaded with an extra LSMW import method after material master load. -

I am creating BDC for material master.In that BDC if i load the data in 'A' mode its work properly. In 'E' Mode in the last page its asking every time for Save, In 'N' Mode its not upload how to do this.

The function code/OK code for SAVE is 'BU' like

GokulThe material type is stored in table MARA, however, MM17 can not change all fields that are contained in a table. MM17 is not a table modification tool, it just supports business process of mass changing some field contents. It is more like mass process MM02. But the fields that cannot even easily changed in MM02 like base unit of measure, batch managment flag are not supported within MM17. Material type cannot even be changed in MM02.
There are that many checks that need to be performed and cause a failure, that you cannot do such in a mass change transaction.
It is certainly possible to record MMAM to finally do this with batch input, CATT or LSWM for many materials. But first try it manually for 10-20 materials to make your experience.
By the way, dont forget the number range. If you change material type, then the material number will remain, which may screw up your number range logic (that is often defined after heavy and long discussions. If you have different number ranges per material type, then you should block the transaction MMAM for anybody) -

Your errors are that you try to enter fields but they don't exist, so it sounds logic.
And the error "Enter Valuation class." means that the field is mandatory. So you must enter it.
Re-record the transaction using SHDB (eventually play with the http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ABAP/Recordduringplay), run it in A display mode, and correct your program.

It is better if the Material Master creation step is done by LSMW - Direct Input method with the following object:
Object 0020 Material master

Program name RMDATIND
Program type D Direct input
Check the program documentation for more details.
For a sample data file generation ( Sequential file ), check the program RMDATGEN
If the reqmt., is for a repetetive loading of Material Master you could schedule / execute the LSMW by following program: /SAPDMC/SAP_LSMW_INTERFACE.

LSMW-Error during processing of BDC session change to material master MM02
I have created an LSMW for changing material master data. I recorded MM02 and using the "select views" screen selected the accounting 2 view and entered the information in the fields on that screen requiring changes. I've set up all of the technical screens for the LSMW. However, when I process the BDC session with "display errors only", the program stops at the select view screen with an error message "Select at least one view". Any ideas how I can process through this screen so that the Accounting 2 screen opens in the BDC session? One further note, I set that selection as a constant in the field mapping and conversion rules screen. The field name recorded as KZSEL_05.

the scrolling by mouse is not recognized by recording and that may be the error. so whenever you have to go down in screen please use page down not scrolling at least in LSMW. -

Hey but I wanted complete steps after this,
Actully my requirement is like this,
We have CCM and SRM on same client.
We have around 10000 (Stock material + Non stock materials) and 5000 Text Item.
We have around 1000 Vendors. Here we do not want to send CSV files to Vendor for update and we would like to have a list of all materials in catalog by running just any programe.
When user will create shopping cart through catalog then it should consider vendor and create PO automatically.
Now again questions are like:
1. Can we use BBP_CCM_TRANSFER_CATALOG this programe when SRM and CCM in same client?
2. If we run above said programe then it will create one std extracted catalog in CCM screen, is this catalog will work as supplier catalog or here also we have to create separate supplier catalog?
3. Now problem is that if we create supplier catalog then we have to put one supplier catalog which will again be a specific to that catalog only but here we do not want to create number of supplier catalogs, is it possible?
4. We need tax code should be work at material level and not at material group level (which normally work in std SRM), so for that can we add any new characteristic in CSV file so that it will get add direclty into catalog itself.
