BDC with ALV grid

Hi everybody,
I´m working with transaction SHDB to record a "Z" transaction. This one has an ALV grid with a toolbar. The problem is that when i´m recording this transaction, i cannot capture the events of the ALV toolbar and the selected lines of the grid.

Another thought. If it is Z report, why dont you just submit the report/call routines in this report directly to perform the required actions?
When you a do BDC on a Z report, you gotta be a little careful. There is every chance that tomorrow there might be a need to change selection screen parameters, show one more popup, insert one more screen and so on. And this might cause the BDC to fail.
And as for the reason of why you are not able to capture the events, these events are not defined in the Status of the screen menu (SE41). Hence, it is not possible to captue these events.

Issue with ALV grid print preview/spool

Hello everyone,
I am working on a report and I am having some issues with ALV grid. Currently in our DEV and QA environments the user can run the report, view the ALV grid, and print the grid without any issues.
However this isn't the case in the Prod environment. The user is able to run the report and view the grid without any issues. But when they click print preview or click print, the spool is incorrect. It shows the proper values from the grid, but the first field is reduced in length. Rather than showing a numeric field of length 10 it shows 99999999# or 99999999...
The programs are identical through every environment, including user parameters, formats, and spool settings. I have been told printing grids may have some issues, does anyone have any advice or dealt with this issue before?

I have a problem with ALV Grid User Command?

Hi Experts,
I have a problem with ALV GRID User Command.
I am calling TCODE IW33 (Order Display) from the ALV output at first time by selecting an order. But, User command is calling IW33 Initial screen with blank value of order. Even I checked in debugging the value what I selected is passing properly, but once that screen (IW33 Initial) displays, value doesn't appear. Then, Manually, I created another session and gone to TCODE IW33 and displayed an order. After that I came out from that order. Then again run my ALV program and selected another order, now order is displaying, but not what I selected current order instead of displaying previous order what I just displayed manually. If I selected any other order, system will display the same order what I dislayed manually.
Here is my code.

Problem with ALV grid in edit mode

Hello, gurus!
I have a problem with ALV-grid. Sometimes when I call F4 help for a cell, data is inserted in a different cell. And when I call check_changed_data method, my internal table (passed to ALV-control in set_table_for_first_display) does not updates properly. In what can be a problem?

With this code what is happening is, when user double clicks a line on Pop-up screen with ALV grid data, the program is able to successfully get into the class implementation but the control is not going to PAI module to execute the OK_code handling part.

Display 2 rows per entry with ALV Grid

Hi Experts,
I need to display the results of a report with ALV Grid. The Problem is: I need to display the resultdata (some numbers etc..) in one row and then add a second row with the longtext.
The ALV should look somthing like this:

Splitter container with alv grid has to be replaced with a dynpro

I have a container which I have splitt in 4 areas, on the right half I have two splitter container with alv grids.
On the left side I have my navigation tree in 2 splitter container.
I don't know if this really works, but is it possible that I call a dynpro in the splitter container (after using my navigation tree) where still my alv grids exist?

so it is not able that I can show a dynpro with several text fields?
or can I introduce the textfields in another version to the container?
In se80 I think you have the same, there they call another transactions, is it possible that I call a transaction to the right side of a splitter container?

BDC for ALV grid

hi all,
after a long search in the forums im posting this,
i have a Z tcode for which im creating a BDC (in a FM). this tcode when i execute manually i will get a ALV grid output with a check box(only 1 record).
i have to select this check box and press a push button which will further proceed.
now when i process the tcode manually this check box is identified and a method in PAI is ldentifying the changed data before and after selecting the check box and further process is done.
Now after searching i came to know that this BDC cannot capture the checkbox value.
now my concern is how do i capture the value in checkbox and pass to the background program separately into the PAI module, or can i add a perform stmt to capture the value in BDC. or any IMPORT or EXPORT stmt will work.
any help in this regard will be gratefull.

First try with ALV Grid and Abap Objects

I have added some more functionality to my report. The good thing is, the report works as it should.
BUT, I'm not really sure, whether this is a good (correct) design. The report works the following way:
1. Read planning data form text file into internal table
2. Display the internal table
3. Convert the data and display the converted result
4. Post the converted data to the system
5. Display log with messages
The main thing is, I would like to know, do i really need two dynros, to display the two different internal tables or is it possible just to use one ALV-Grid? I was not able to find another solution. Any comment or help to the report is appreciated.

Running report with alv grid in background and exporting to excel

Hi Guys,
              I've created a report program that uses the alv grid. When I run the report in foreground, I can easily export it to excel. However, if I run it in background, then display the spooled report and try to export to excel, it does not put it in excel format (seems to go over as one big column rather than individual columns that are defined in the report). Is there a way to run it in background ,export to excel properly and i have to email also in Excel sheet format.?

In background u cannot do a download to excel. you can do is create CSV format file
or
write a report for output with tabs then call that report using
submit yXXXX exporting list to memory
           and return.

Hi my friends,
I have written a small ALV Grid where some rows should be colored, dependend on their status in a table. But it's not working and I can't find out, why it is not working. Hi,
I've changed the line to ps_layout-stylefname = 'LINECOLOR'., but then I'm getting a runtime error 'ASSIGN_TYPE_CONFLICT' in program 'SAPLSLVC in line 2975'...
I don't have any idea what is causing that.

Problem with ALV Grid (created via FM)

Dear forumers,
When double-clicking on any data row of an ALV grid, the following runtime error occurs:
Runtime error: PERFORM_NOT_FOUND

There exist various options:
Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "SAPLSLVC_FULLSCREEN" had to be terminated
because it has come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
or
Error in the SAP kernel.
The current ABAP "SAPLSLVC_FULLSCREEN" program had to be terminated because the
ABAP processor detected an internal system error.
How can I resolve this error for an ALV grid? The ALV grid is created via the FM, 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY' and the field catalog is built via the FM, 'REUSE_ALV_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE'.

I also noticed in the Data Browser, SE16 - that if the table contents are displayed in an ALV Grid, double-clicking on any data row will not generate the same error. It also has an additional column on the leftmost to aid the data row selection. Any other ideas on this?

Hi Deborah,
While calling 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY', You should have also passed the parameter I_CALLBACK_USER_COMMAND with any form name, or You have passed table IT_EVENTS with form name 'USER_COMMAND' with a form mentioned in it.
If You do not require any user interaction on your ALV, comment the line where I_CALLBACK_USER_COMMAND is passed, or delete the line for 'USER_COMMAND' from the table that is passed in IT_EVENTS.
Else, if You require user interaction, You need to code a form for user command in your program as FORM_USER_COMMAND USING OK_CODE SELFIELD.
Remember the name of the form (for e.g. 'FORM_USER_COMMAND') should be the same that you pass in CALLBACKUSER_COMMAND or the one in 'USER_COMMAND' in table for IT_EVENTS.

Problem with ALV GRID layout

really need yours help
I have to show an ALV grid with checkbox as first column.
This checkbox is based on internal table condition may be enabled or disabled, other columns are disabled.
I used the structure 'ZMESD' where i decleared that checkbox field.
I called function module:
