Bdp-s1500 No sound from Apps apart from Beeps

I've just installed my BDP-S1500.It works fine for DVDs. My TV is a bit temporamental, so I've had to force the the video to output at 720, but now I'm having problems with the sound. Disks are fine, but some apps are buggy. Example. YouTube gives the clinks and beeps as you move and make selections. However, the clips themselves are silent.Netflix is silent. Amazon has sound.Berlin Phil has sound I have tried numerous HDMI cables into numerous numerous HDMI ports, all with the same results.Any ideas?I've updated the firmware and done factory resets.Any ideas? Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with sound on your iPad. I recommend the following steps for an issue like this (the steps refer to an iPhone but are also applicable to the iPad):
Verify that the volume is set to a level you would normally be able to hear.
Ensure that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack or the dock connector.
If the iPhone is in a protective case, make sure that the speaker port isn't blocked by the case.
Make sure that the speaker and dock port aren't clogged with debris. If necessary, clean it with a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush. Carefully and gently brush away any debris.
If an audio issue occurs when using a specific application, try testing other applications to see if the issue persists.
If the iPhone is paired with a Bluetooth headset or car kit:
Try turning off Bluetooth.
If you experience difficulties with the Bluetooth feature, followthese troubleshooting steps.
Restart the iPhone.
If restarting doesn't fix the issue, ensure that your iPhone is updated to the latest version of iOS.
If the issue is not resolved after restoring the iPhone software, please contact Apple Support.

I managed to solve my problem without spending 4 hours going to Apple Store.
I don't know why, but Yosemite somehow decided to restrict permissions literally to itself.
1) you need to enable seeing hidden files - paste this in terminal "defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles YES"
2) find the folder "private" and select "get info"
3) give to user "wheel" (this is OS X internal or root "admin") permission to "read and write" this folder and all its contents. I also added user "admin" and gave permissions to "read and write" all the same as to "wheel", just in case.
4) repair permissions, restart your computer and reset PRAM
5) go to App Store and try to update your system.
6) if all worked fine, don't forget to paste in terminal "defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles NO" to hide all hidden files.
Enjoy updated system.

Issue with update and purchase app from App Store from Iran

Hi dudes. I have the following issue with app store and iTunes form my country. I have had 1009 ERROR past year since APPLE blocked Iran form accessing iTunes because of US sanctions. But till recent months and when US gov. gave permissions to US companies to reduce sanctions to Iran, the 1009 ERROR
disappeared.
Unfortunately in recent weeks, accessing iTunes and App Store is denied from Iran again. Why? and What can we (Apple Fans and Customers) do?

solution:
- turn journe off.
- insert sd card with latest firmware
- reset journe with reset switch (left to right)
- boot journe and follow instructions
- install digi clock from virtual store

but still recieve error message when using the gutenberg app (like mentioned before).
so, if somebody could just try the app and give me a response. that would be nice. gutenberg is a great platform for free ebooks, but without the possibility to search its useless.

Hi Sridhar,
I'm unsure for what you'd need this, but in general there are at least two possibilities:
- manually pack everything into the dir structure needed (documented here: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/f9/561140d72dc442e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm ), than create a ZIP with some command line tool (e.g. JAR), naming it to .par.
- use ANT to do this; with this, you can even deploy the file, see PAR-File deployment with ANT (EP6)

When I download an app that costs say $3.99; is that a monthly charge to my account or just a one-time charge?

All apps are purchased outright, the payment being made only one time, unless the app says that a subscription or additional purchase is also involved (for instance, a GPS app may be made available for free or very inexpensively but charge for maps). A developer may at some point charge a second time for a major upgrade, but I've not seen that happen yet.

How can I purchase apps from app store located in different region

I am trying to purchase some apps from app store from different region. It says my apple ID is only allowed in north US. Is there any way I can do that?

I called apple hotline and was told it's "impossible" to purchase apps from different region outside of US. I tried to use my apple ID to purchase and came back the message saying my apple ID only valid in US region.
So I tried to create another ID to register in different region. It appears I need another credit card number and address in that region in order to register and make purchase.
I see they are selling iTunes card in Walmart. I wonder if I can buy that kind of card to use it in app store. If ..... if they sell that kind of card outside of US, can I have my friend purchase one there and use it in app store? I hope there is a way to work around this region issue. The rep I talked to know nothing and did not even try to get me a good answer for this.

no sound apart from ringtones after my iphone got wet, i didnt check the sounds because it worked properly when i had incoming calls. i think i had ios problems before ,because i couldnt update apps, i couldnt run some apps because at the moment i run it, my iphone got reset.

Do you mean you all have different AppleIDs? But, do you also have different user accounts on the computer?
Simplest thing is just give everyone their own user account on the computer - they log into their account and sync their devices from only their account. Keeps everything separate and neat.

Just use the same Apple ID and password that you used to access this forum - that's your Apple ID.
The user name and password on your computer has nothing to do with your Apple ID.

Here are the steps for AirPlay:
Before starting Azul from your (running iOS 5.x/6.x) home screen where have have all your apps we need to turn on mirroring
On your iPhone 4S/5 or iPad 2 or 3, double-click the Home Button to view your recently-used apps.
Swipe all the way to the right to until you see the icon.
Note: If the icon does not appear, go to the "If AirPlay Mirroring is not visible or available on your mobile iOS device" section.
Tap the icon to see the list of available AirPlay devices.
Enable AirPlay Mirroring in this menu by tapping on an available Apple TV, then sliding the Mirroring slider to ON.
Now you should be seeing your iPad/iPhone on your TV.
Start up Azul now and using the settings icon on the top right corner go to the option that say "TV out" ON.
When you do that you will see an Orange screen
Now click "Done" and play the video you want to watch and it will AirPlay

Can I listen to audiobooks apart from the Music app?

Is there any way for me to listen to my iTunes audiobooks apart from the Music app?
The music app is annoying. It can't remember the playback position of the audiobook files.
I used to change the books into podcasts and then use the podcasts app but now it wouldn't sync .
I wish Apple will make a seperate Audiobooks app...
