how can i assign a new Tab to a specific Role for example BUP001.

I believe normally this is configured by Basis during installation. And in most of the scenarios, it is same as you described. i.e. its asks Package/Transport in R/3 but in BW it stores default in $TMP. Well you can always do this - create object in R/3 - assign package and transport and then later delete object from transport and transport, if you dont want to send that object to further systems.

Adding a new tab at a specific place

Hi, can someone help with a tab question.
In earlier version of Indesign (CS6) you use to be able to use the 'enter' key to add a new tab at a specific measurement. Example: you start with a tab at 100mm, then you could type 125mm (in the x measurement panel) and press 'enter' and it would create a new (second) tab at 125mm. Then you could repeat 150mm 'enter', 175mm 'enter' and 200mm 'enter' and you would have five tabs all nice and evenly spaced. Now in CC when you have a tab at 100mm and you then type in 125mm (in the x measurement panel) it moves the first tab to 125mm… doesn't create new tab! In CS6 the move function was 'return' key and 'enter' was a new tab.
If anyone can head some light on this, that would be great. Cheers, Jeff

How do I open a new tab at a specific web site

When I open a new tab (in Firefox 5) I want it to opne at my home page (google). I cant seem to make firefox 5 do this, yet it worked fine in Firefox 3. Have a missed a point somewhere?

Do you see that button if you open the Customize window?
* Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"
* If a missing item is in the toolbar palette then drag it back from the Customize window on the toolbar
* If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up.

Assigning a new tab to the general data of business partner

Hi,
I have followed the steps of creating a field group, view, section. After adding my ztab in the screen sequence of the general data in business partner. But i am unable to see the tab in the BP.
Can anyone suggest me on this?

Hi Deepika,
Have you generated your screen in transaction BUSP. Select the object BUPA and generate all the screens. This should solve your problem. For your information EEWB is the alternative transaction to add the custom tab for these objects, you just have to run the wizard . This option is really very simple to enhance the objects.

How to assign new fields to a specific role ( e.g employee) in BP

Dear Experts,
I have enhanced 3 customer fields in BP using EEWB, I am able to see this fields in BP ( tab customer data) but these fields are existing in all the roles of BP ( like vendor, bidder, service provider, employee etc).I would like to specify this fields only to a certain role (e.g employee) not to all roles.
How can I acheive it?.

BADI:problem with creating a new tab in BADI

I'm new to BADI's.
i have a requriement to add a new tab in the MIGO transaction and add a field in that new tab .
my Functional specification author is suggesting to use the BADI "MB_MIGO_ITEM_BADI" to create a new TAB .
But i'm not find any function code availale in this BADI .
Can anybody tell me how to use this BADI "MB_MIGO_ITEM_BADI" to create a new TAB .
Also can anybody provide me any documentation available in designing a new TAB or new screen using BADI's ?

Thanks so much for your support. As I said I am not a professional, so I by chance saw a friend who is and this is what he suggested and it worked.

It says to Download and install Download and install''' NewTabURL''' and gives instructions on how to. Now when I open the tab it goes to my preferred search page!

How to create business partner in a specific role

Hi experts,
We are implementing CRM 4.0 Business package in EP 7.0.
When we checked the business partner creation screen, we couldnt find an option to create the business partner in a specific role (eg, prospect, sold to party, ship to party etc).
When we create a business partner, it is automatically added to the "business partner - general" role.
Can anyone suggest us how to enable the option of adding to different roles from the BP creation screen itself?

For Creating a BP with only one specific role.
You can enhance the BP by creating a transaction code that allows you to create BP only with specific roles.
Tx code: to create a transaction code is SE93
To assign the Tx code to a specific role related activity: BUSF

Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems: View > Zoom > Reset (Ctrl+0 (zero); Cmd+0 on Mac)

New tab and fields using BDT

Hi experts:
I have to create 2 new tabs with various fields in BP and UDM_BP t-codes for BP UDM00 (Collections Management) role.
Following a BDT manual, I've created field group with the new fields from append strucutre in BUT100 table, a view for data set UDM100, section for the view, screen for the section and included the new screen in BUP001 sequence.
Now I can see the tabs when running BP / UDM_BP t-codes only for UDM00 role as requested, but can't see the fields / views / subscreens on tabs.
But, If I add my view to an existing subscreen, I can see the fields.
I have reviewd all my process, re-creating field group, view, secton and screen and nothing changes.
Can someone provide some guidance on what I can be doing wrong?. I'm in the dark !!!

How can I get a new tab to open to a specific page?

I use speed dial add-on and have for a few years. I had an issue with firefox yesterday and had to reinstall it and lost all my settings. I added the speed dial add-on and tried to set it as my home page, but when I restart instead of going to speed-dial it goes to a new tab page and the homepage has changed in the options setting. No matter how many times I try and switch startup page/home page to speed dial, it keeps changing back to new tab.

Can't get Firefox to open a new tab as my homepage or a specific url. Alwatys get 'The address isn't valid'

When opening a new tab, I keep getting 'The Address isn't valid'. Went through all the fixes given in previous threads, changing the url in about:config, running Firefox in safe mode (problem still exists with plugins disabled) resetting Firefox, changed newtab settings to about:home etc, restarted, deleted cookies. Nothing seems to work. Some other program seems to be overriding the Firefox settings. May be a virus. I am using the latest McAfee software.
I once had an add-on that brought up thumbnails with a new tab but I removed that a while back.
On the right hand side search bar of firefox I can see that Bing is one of the dropdown search engine choices not that it should make a difference but I thougth they were sometimes a bit aggresive.
Anyhow, would love to know if there is a solution as it's making me suspicious of having an undetected visus or hijacking.

Thanks for your relpy but I've already tried these solutions and no joy. I tried them again there just to be sure but still no good.
In the mean time I installed a plug-in that does this for me. I used My Homepage 1.2 and it's done the business.
Still don't know what was causing the problem. (And it wasn't a typo, I checked and copied and pasted urls from other locations...)
