BE6000 Migration to Full UCM

Anyone know the process or SKU to migrate from BE6000 licensing to full UCM licensing?

Putting aside the UCS Hardware, which should be reviewed and perhaps upgraded, I do see Migration SKUs in Netformx for Migrating from BE UWL to CUWL-STD or PRO.
For release 8.6 it would be top level CUWL-LIC-STD-K9
Under that: UWL-MIG-CUWLBE-STD  $10
For release 8.6 it would be top level CUWL-LIC-PRO-K9
Under that: UWL-MIG-CUWLBE-PRO  $220
I see similar SKUs in release 9.0 under L-CUWL-ADDON-xxxxx
Since BE-CUWL is $315 and CUWL-STD is $325, I guess it makes sense,
Same for the jump to CUWL-Pro.

  • What's the best way to go about migrating a full server instance in iWS 4.1 to a virtual server in 6.0?

We are migrating from iplanet web server 4.1 to iws6.0 on solaris 2.6. Migrating from instance to instance or from virtual server to virtual server is easily done with the migration feature. However, I have some full web server instances in 4.1 that I would like to be virtual servers in 6.0. What is the best way to do this?

    Hi,
The best possible way is to create a virtual servers in iWS6.x and configure the same, like what you had with 4.1 instance(configuration).

  • How to migrate a full J2EE application from WebLogic to NetWeaver?

I have an independent J2EE application which can be run on WebLogic successfully. Now, I want to migrate it to the platform of NetWeaver. Could you tell me how to do with it? And where can I find the jar files of the application I deployed?
    Thank you very much!

Have you tried the "exploded" format?
Also, do you mean Weblogic 6.1 (sp2?).

  • Migrating from Oracle Collaboration  Suite to UCM

    Hi
I was using Oracle Collaboration suite for my document management system . Now I plan to migrate it to UCM , is there any specific documents advising on this topics ?
    Thanks
    Joseph John

    Hello Joseph,
This is exactly my question too, my customer has implemented a document management solution based on OCS (Content Services) and Oracle BPEL. Now it is not clear where to go and additionally, considering a lot of problems with those products, they are considering other solutions to move too. If there is a migration plan (at least from the licensing point) this would help much.

  • Local hosted exchange (2013) to Full Online Office 365 for School District : Pointers for migration appreciated!

    Good afternoon all,
The school district I manage is currently using locally hosted exchange server(s) for mail.  (Server 2012 box that has Exchange 2013, and an older Server 2008 box that has Exchange 2010)
We are wanting to make the migration to full online Office 365.  We're talking about 450-500 mailboxes maximum.
In order to do this as seamlessly as possible, I need some help.
Any of you pros that have any gotchas/recommendations/best practices or walk-thrus for this i'm all ears.
Thanks so much, i really appreciate any help that can be given on this.

Vasil, thank you very much for this...it really helps a lot. One question for you, and i hope i'm understanding this correctly. In our school district, we have 2000+ students, and 350~ faculty. We will still be locally managing our users (who will
be tied to email addresses that will then be hosted in office 365) through local active directory. Will this be a problem? The only reason I ask this is because of reading this: Do you want to manage user accounts in your on-premises organization? No (listed
for cutover) We will keep our user account management (if that's what this is talking about) local on the DCs that are on our domain through ADUC. Is this what it's talking about, or is it talking about managing their email addresses? Maybe i'm making this
more difficult than it is... thanks for all the help!

  • BE6000 on B-Series Blades

    Hi All,
We want to host our UC applications (UCM, CUC, CUP, UCX, ACS etc.) for a 180 seat company in our provider's data centre. Is there a way we can purchase the BE6000 without the C-Series server or is the bundle the only way? If not, I assume, we have to purchase a full UCM and CUC licence along with the licences for the other applications? Our provider has Cisco UC compliant blades in a UCS chassis for hosting Cisco UC.
    Thanks in advance!
    Tim

    Tim,
Chir is correct BE6K is sold as a bundle, comes with UCS C220M3 only. Plus with this you get a starter licenses for 25 CUCM and Voicemail licenses which is dirt cheap as compared to UCL or CUWL licenses for same qty.
This is a bundled to make it comercially competetive.

  • HT201250 I just had a new hard drive installed in my iMac.  Migration manager cannot see my external Time Machine hard drive to restore the files and applications.  The drive is operational in Finder

I cannot seem to migrate the full time machine backup from an external hard drive back to the new hard drive.  Finder sees the drive and files.  When I use Migration managers, it only sees the computer hard drive after I select the time machine option to restore the files.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
With what OS X version did you make the backup? If it was the same as the version you are using now, you don't have to use Migration Assistant to restore the backup. Instead, there's a safer and better method, but you will lose all the changes you have made since the last time you made the backup.
Just hold Command and R keys while your Mac is starting to start into OS X Recovery. Then, select the option to restore a Time Machine backup, and follow its steps. Also, you will be able to select the backup you want to restore

  • BO XI R2 to BI 4.1 SP5 Migration

    Hi All,
We are in the process of upgrading our BI environment. Last time, we tried the migration with below options - but it failed after 22 hours.
    -> Complete Migration
    -> Live-to-Live
    Source System:
    BO XI R2 SP2
    No. of Universes: ~150
No. of Reports : ~28000 (Webi + Deski reports)
    File Store : 55 GB
    Target System:
    BI 4.1 SP5 (New server)
When we analyzed the repository data, out of 28000 objects we have only 8000 reports (Public Folders + User Favouries) - it looks like rest of them are like instances. So, appreciate if you provide your recommendations/suggestions on the below points
    1. We don't want to migrate the instances to Target system. Can we go with incremental migration option (Live-to-Live), by excluding the 'Instances' in the 'Options' or any other settings required in UMT?
    2. If we want to exclude User Favourites' (wants to migrate in before going live), can we unselect the 'User Favourites' folder in UMT or do we need to select any other options?
    3. Our users only refresh their reports during working hours - only IT team can create any new reports. In this case - is it recommended to do this Live-to-Live migration during working hours (i.e) when source system is active? This is important because getting longer downtime of source system (BO XI R2) in our organization is very difficult because of business criticality.
Appreciate your response on the above queries as it will be really helpful for us to plan accordingly.
    Thanks in advance
    regards,
    Syed Basheer

    Hi,
Go through the link UMT Incremental Upgrade Approach for large environment?
Also, migration of full content is possible and can be done during non working hours, if the UMT is set correctly and the RAM is good enough to accommodate the transfer. Make sure you have ample Temp directory ( 2 x FRS size )
Instances can be unchecked only in case of incremental update. However users may want some historical data. In this case you can limit the instances in the XI R2 system.
User favourites and inboxes are crucial. They should be migrated along with security, if not done properly, they might loose the security context and get either no privileges or complete access.
It is recommended to do the migration activity during downtime. Live access ( any access ) to the system can cause repository access and can lead to failure of obects being updated to the target system.
I did a complete migration recently with almost same amount of data mentioned. It took UMT 12 hours.

  • Migration  of content from Oracle ContentDB to ECM

    Hi,
I am new to Web center Content.
I have to migrate content from Oracle Content DB into Web center content.
Can anybody please suggest any means ?
I am unable to decide the approach.
Apparently RIDC is a suggestion I have heard of, but i would still need help on its implementaion.
    Please contribute with your suggestions.
    Looking forward for dem..
    Thanks in advance..

Search this forum for 'migration' - this topic is often discussed. A good post is e.g. this one: Re: migrating content from UCM 10g to UCM 11g

  • !csComponentDataNotFound, when enabling a custom compoent in UCM 11g.

    Hi,
I am seeing following exception when enabling custom component in UCM 11g (through component manager). Any pointers on what could be the issue.
    intradoc.common.ServiceException: !csComponentDataNotFound, DV_Eloqua
After enabling when i restart the server, i don't see this exception again and in the component manager the component looks enabled.
Logs are not clear on what is causing this. Can i Ignore this?
    Thanks in advance,
    Seshan K.

    Hi,
I see this issue with install of all the custom components. The exception I pasted in previous post was just one of the many.
To give you some back ground,
This was done as part of migration effort from UCM 10gR3 to UCM 11g.
There custom components were developed for UCM 10gR3, we have updated the code to use RIDC and  as part of migration to 11g.
Custom components were then installed to 11g using component manager.
This issue is not see in of the component installed, even that component was migrated from 10gR3.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Seshan K.

  • Business Rules Migration

    Hi gurus,
I need to migrate business rules from one environment to another.
Apart from doing so in EAS, what would be the other way of migrating it?
    Any suggestion would be appreciated.
I could do it with EAS, however the EAS has not been working in the target environment, so we are trying to see if we can migrate from planning/hss etc so that we could migrate and test while we are taking care of the EAS issue.
    Thank you.

If EAS is not working in the target environment then I don't see much point in trying to migrate the rules, you would not be able to import them if EAS is not working.
The only options are exporting/importing through EAS, LCM (which pretty much does the same thing as EAS but can be automated), alternatively there is the option to migrate the full repository - Migrating the Repository
    Cheers

  • Migrate GW7 to Linux GW7 or 8 with c06b , with libraries

    Howdy ,
( reason for my migration is speed of Linux and slightly damaged edir , so in this scenario i also have created a new tree!)
After browsing around because i bumped into the c06b error when trying to load the poa on linux i was suprised that there was little or no information around to upgrade to linux with libraries .. apart from the check in check out options .. which actully works ...but safety of documents id thought id post the way we did it to spare people the check in check out option and just migrate to full :)
In my company there are 30+ libraries stored on the same server .. residing outside our poa , on the same disk system but not within the poa ..
    * old system * NW6.5 SP8 / GW 7.03 (tree 1 )
    WEBACC (\\SERVER\VOL\grpwise\dmn\web)
    GWIA (\\SERVER\VOL\grpwise\dmn\gwia)
    POA &MTA (\\SERVER\VOL\grpwise\poa) (\\SERVER\VOL\grpwise\mta)
    Remote storage area's
    (\\SERVER\VOL\grpwise\poa\lib1)
    (\\SERVER\VOL\grpwise\poa\lib2) etc etc
    migrating all this to
    * Linux OES2 SUSE10 (tree 2 )
    7.03 / 8.0 agents installed ( default location)
    /media/nss/VOL/grpwise
so keeping my structures basicly the same..
Now for the basic file transfer we decided to go with Rsync .. , this gives us time to copy while on production and resync when we want to have a freeze point to actually go live on linux, whitout disturbing production.
during this rsync , we created a new tree and created all the users inside the new tree , reinstalled zenworks etc etc ..
so tree2 was tested with login scripts etc while the rsync was copying data from the old NW server to the New LNX server.
once rsync was done we grafted the groupwise objects into the new tree (LINUX)once in the new tree the paths of the remote storage area's has to be set then a rebuild of the poa is prefferred .. however here's 1 catch
all the files are still UPPER and LOWER case , u need to correct this (ON LINUX).. there are scripts around .. after correcting this .. we tried to load the poa .. no success .. ( changed UNC paths from console one windows, also added the native linux path to match our newly system )
    c06b ( ran gwcheck .. same result)
so we setted up a new netware server in the new tree .. resynced to that server , regrafted the lot again .. ( gwagents installed )
modify the storage area paths again .. and it loads .. ON netware 6.5 sp8 ..
from this point we tried the migration tool to merge it into linux ( since we want a new tree .. and im quite certain it doesnt migrate trees .. )
we had to set up the netware box ( once again not to disturb production )
only this time using the migration tool .. ( since the data was present on the lnx server migration took 2 hours ) however when completed ... no poa on linux .. c06b error ..gwchecked again .. same result ..
so then we tried loading the poa on the netware box with the storage area's on linux( once again modifying the paths in console one/windows )
it worked .. my new netware box was running storage area's on linux .. without errors on the netware poa .. so there has to be something off .. don't you think ?
so proven that the netware server can load the storage area's of the linux server ( in the same tree ... this was my fall back if linux failed to migrate)
however still no poa agent with libraries on linux .. here's the sollution
install console one on the LINUX server with gw snapins .. ull notice that all the storage area's UNC paths have changed .. this is incorrect.. u have to modify the UNC path to the native linux one .. and u have to do this on the linux consoleone version ..
console one windows UNC path of the storage area looks like this
    \\SERVER\VOL\POA\LIB
when loading LINUX consoleone UNC looks like this
/media/nss/VOL/SERVER/VOL/POA/LIB or similar ...........in my case this should be:
    UNC
    /media/nss/vol/poa/lib
    LINUX PAth
    /media/nss/vol/poa/lib
u can verify this by bringing up your new POA on linux with NOCFG
( be sure to make changes to the MTA /PORTS ETC, so it can communicate with the poa ! )
modify the paths in linux console one and watch the magic ,,,ull notice that if u access the library ( poa loaded with show :) ) and the path isn't modified correctly the c06b error pops over ..
Give it time to update though ..
after that u can launch your new POA from the console without NOCFG
and every works nice and dandy !

  • Using archiver pointing to a clustered UCM 11g

Hello, I have to migrate content from UCM 10g to 11g but UCM 11g is in a Weblogic cluster. All UCM nodes use the same database schema and have shared filesystem for vault and weblayout. Where do I point the transfer of the archiver? Does it matter which of them the output provider uses to define the archive collection? Any ideas or recommendations?
Thank you very much in advance!
    Regards.

    Hi ,
It would need to be pointed to one of the UCM servers in the cluster so that it is a single point where the input is done . Since the cluster will all read the same weblayout / vault all the other nodes will be able to show / action on the contents .
    Thanks

  • SCCM2012 Application Migration

We have a development [DEV] site set up on a separate domain to our live [PRI] site. There is a Source Hierarachy set up between the two sites, one each, so we can transfer packages to the dev site to develop them, and back to the live site once
they're up and running. This works perfectly well with no issues [PRI] > [DEV], however not all the applications we have created on the [DEV] site show up as available to migrate to the [PRI] site. The only thing I can find to set them apart from ones that
do show up is that the ones showing up were created by the account NT\SYSTEM, as opposed to a user.
The account used for the migration has full access to the system (as a test) and the issue still occurred. I've also run manual Data Gathering, which shows up any changes I make to other objects, such as collections, without issue. I've been unable to
find any similar issues online, or much information about log files for this situation. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Jeff,
Thanks for your response. There are no errors in the migmctrl.log file, everything appears to sync correctly, and if I create new collections, etc they show when creating a new migration job. The full file for a Data Gathering session is here: http://pastebin.com/MpEWHXZ3

  • Migrating Users Quotas on NSS Volumes

    Hi !
We have a Netware 6.5 SP7 server with around 45000 users on it. We have a NSS volumes called USERS where must of the users have a quotas restrictions.
How can I migrate all the users quotas restrictions from a Netware server to an OES 2 Linux server ?
I tried many tools like SCMT, migfiles, tcnvlnx.nlm, ... Everything is migrating correctly EXCEPT the users quotas on the NSS volumes.
    Any ideas ?
    Eric

    Marcel Cox wrote:
    > Are your users lum enabled?
Quotas don't need LUM enabled users on OES2 Linux.
But if Eric is referring to Volume Space Restrictions and migrations
just folders, then it won't work.. directory restrictions should
migrate, haven't tried becoz we only user Volume based.
6.1.3 User Space Restrictions Only Migrated in Full Volume Copies
In consolidation projects where individual folders are dragged and
dropped, or where a volume is
copied to a folder on the destination server, user space restrictions on
    the source volume are not
    migrated to the destination volume.
If your consolidation project is set up to copy an entire volume, with
    the contents of the source
volume being copied to the root of the destination volume, user space
    restrictions are migrated to the
destination volume. If user space restrictions already exist on the
    destination volume, they are
overwritten with the restrictions migrated from the source volume.
