Beat audio low volume through speakers but okay through headphones

My beats audio works fine through my headphones but the volume through the speakers is not very loud.  I am teaching a class where I need to have the volume loud enough for people to hear it across a small room, not huddled around my laptop. I have a HP pavilion dv6, windows 7

Hi trirainbow,
For what is described in your post, it sounds as though it is probably functioning as designed. I have tested a similar notebook in a small room, and need to use external powered speakers for it to be audible. Double check all the volumes to make sure that they are maxed, and what program are you using for your presentation?
Thank you.

  • Heard through speakers but not through applicati

    Greetings,
Right now with my Audigy 2 card I can plug in my scanner to the line in and hear it through the speakers but I can not use the audio with applications. Another example, connecting line in to my Ham radio I can hear the traffic through the speakers but can not process the audio through a ham radio application.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

I recently got the same problem. Its not that bad but confused me at first. If that is the worst problem you get with your computer consider yourself lucky. You could bring it by an apple store genius and see what they say but its most likely a switch problem like tteuer said. If my memory serves me right that switch is connected to the logic board, if you have it still under warranty, great, if not, you might as well get another laptop if it really bothers you.
Tip: I have made it work by either slowly removing the headphone from the jack or rotating it. If that did not work the first time I repeated it.

  • Can't play sounds through speakers but only through earphones

I got my new iPad2 yesterday and for a while I was able to play sounds through the speakers. Today speaker did not work anymore and I suspect it is related to the upgrade to the new iOS 4.3.3 that I did just before putting it to sleep. Can anybody help?

Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the iPod and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound. Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and its the icon; press home again to exit the taskbar. The function that isn't on the side switch is set via the taskbar instead : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4085

  • Audio output through speakers but not headphone jack

I have an HP Envy 15-J178ca. I am unable to play audio from my headphone jack, but audio plays on my speakers. When I plug in my headphones, the speakers stop outputting audio but no audio plays through the headphone output. I have tried multiple headphones which all work on different devices and was unsuccessful at outputting audio. I have updated my audio driver to the latest version using the HP drivers site. The following is a screenshot of the sound devices on my computer.

  • Pavilion d6 with Beats Audio and Windows 7: the Sound Stops When Headphones are Removed

The sound works fine, then I put in headphones and usually the sound plays fine, though sometimes it stops working after making a repeating sound for a second.  When I remove the headphones the sound will not come out of the speakers and if I plus the headphones back in no sound comes out.  The only way I can get the sound to work again is to restart my computer.
If I run the sound troubleshooter it doesnt detect a problem.  I tried the fix in this thread http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-PC-Sound-and-Audio/Beats-audio-pavilion-dv6-No-sound/td-p/2169..., but that didn't work.  I would really appreciate a solution, thanks a ton!

    Hi,
    Try the following.
Download the IDT Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
    http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp63501-64000/sp63555.exe
When done, open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Sound, Video and Game Controllers.  Right click the IDT device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall.
When done, shut down the notebook by holding down the left Shift key as you click on Shutdown to temporarily prevent a hybrid boot.
Unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery.  Hold down the Power button for 20 seconds.  Re-insert the battery and plug in the AC Adapter.
Tap away at the esc key as you start the notebook to launch the Start-up Menu and then select f10 to enter the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the defaults ( this is sometimes f9, but the menu at the bottom will show the correct key ), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.  Press f10 to save the setting and again use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.
Let Windows fully load - it will automatically load an audio driver, but just let this complete.  Then open your Downloads folder, right click on the IDT installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation.  When this has completed, right click the speaker icon in the Taskbar and select Playback Devices.  Left click 'Speakers/HP' once to highlight it and then click the Set Default button - check if you now have audio.

  • SQL query can be executed through TOAD but not through Discoverer

    Hallo, everybody:
Got another problem. A SQL query can be executed through TOAD, but when I want to execute it by a worksheet of Discoverer Plus, it always shows there is no data.
PS: I copied this query from Discoverer Plus to TOAD, which means, this query is generated through the Discoverer. Does anybody know about how could it be?
    Thank you.
    Geng

    Hi,
If you are able to get data in TOAD with the same user credential as that of Discoverer Plus then it will implies an issue with Discoverer.
Else it is privilege issue , your TOAD user has select privilege to the base objects (tables/views etc) where as your Disoverer used does not.
Compare the privileges granted to these 2 users and you can narrow done to the issue .
    Thanks,

  • Various audio problems with the onboard speakers but not the headphones.

The little volume wheel is connected to a variable resistor, which is soldered to the motherboard via 7 pins.  when the wheel loosens up, or the pins loosen up, the onboard speakers get flaky or just don't work.  We've been seeing this type of problem for a while now, and just thought that the general public should know.  Either replace the motherboard, or the volume controller, or wiggle and jiggle the wheel when it gives problems.  good luck all, and i hope this little tid-bit helps out.

    Hi,
    Try the following.
First, download and reinstall the Chipset driver on the following link.
    Chipset Driver - Windows 8
When the reinstallation has completed, restart the notebook.
When windows has reloaded, download the IDT Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.

  • Presario CQ61/Windows 7 low volume on speakers.

My laptop's hard drive died irretreivably two months after the warranty expired. On getting it back, it could not read the third recovery disk in the set, so I installed everything relevant that I could find on the HP website. Most things are now working, except that
The volume from the built-in speakers is extremely low, although the headphone output is high enough to drive external speakers.
I get no low battery warning, even though it is set in the power plan.
It's very possible that I'm missing a driver or something, so I'd be really grateful for any help, as before the HDD died this was a great machine.

Try opening your audio control panel, Usually IDT and make sure that the audio enhancements are enabled.
You can also go to control panel>SOund>speaker properties>Enhancements>Enable enhancements like Equalizer.

  • L510 -Realtek Audio LOW volume -winXP

    Hi,
I recently downgraded my laptop to WinXP from Win7 and see the difference in the sound quality and the volume is low (on 100%). Any idea on how to increase the volume or any driver update?
    Satellite L510 core i3 PSLGQL-002001.

Hmm, according to my brother, sometimes it does switch to normal volume, albeit only for a couple of seconds max.
Oh well. I've given up on this and put an Audigy SE in, and it seems to be working fine.

  • Sound with SPEAKERS but not with HEADPHONES ??

    Hi all.
    I have a Pentium4 .7 computer
    Running Windows XP with update2
    500Mb memory
    Audigy 6. sound card
Creative INSPIRE 6. 6700 speakers (6 speakers + subwoofer and remote control (wired) for turning the speakers on/off and sound volume + headphone socket))
This is my problem, When I play anything on the computer, the sound works great on the speakers.
When I plug in the headphones, the sound goes off (as it should) but nothing is heard through the headphones.
I unplug the headphones and the sound is back through the speakers .
Why will the sound not come through my headphones ? (I have tried the headphones on other things and they are working fine on them)
I wrote to Creative labs and they sent me out a NEW remote control cable.
I plugged this in and it is still the same ?
I then found out a friend had the same set up and went to his house.
I tried the headphones in his remote control and they worked fine (the speakers went off and the headphones were playing the sounds).
I then replaced his subwoofer with my subwoofer and everything worked fine (even the headphones worked).
I borrowed his subwoofer and tried it on my computer and again, the speakers worked OK but when I plugged the headphones in, no sound from them again ?
    What is going on ?
I can only guess that it is something to do with my computer or the settings ? but I cannot really understand why the headphones won't work when plugged in, but when unplugged the speakers do work?
(I thought that when you plug headphones into the headphone socket, it just broke the connection to the speakers and di'verted the sound through to the headphones so I am baffled) ???
Helppppppppppppppp ! I am going crazy going around in circles.
    Regards.

    Dear Jason.
First of all, could I apologise for my tantrum, I'll explain in a minute.
I looked at the announcement and I managed to sort out problem I was having which was, when I tried to run the DIAGNOSTIC TOOL, the writing went of the little window and there were no buttons to press and so I could not go any further.
After reading the announcement, I change the DPI to 96 (it was 20) and now I can see all the text and the buttons.
    So thank you for that.
So the reason for my tantrum,
st - I was getting jealous that other people were getting there questions answered (LOL)
2nd - I have had my sound card and speakers for over a year now and after reading the reviews, I paid that little bit extra to get the best.
My computer set up was in the loft and it worked fine for ages.
I have now moved house and the computer has to go in the kids? bedroom (new house is not as big as the other house) and this is where I now need the headphones to use the computer in the evening.
Because I cannot get the headphones to work, I cannot use the computer now after 8:30pm and so I am finding it frustrating.
As I said, my friend?s works great and this is also pushing me over the edge (well not that bad LOL, but you know what I mean).
So I just want to get my headphones up and running and I seem to be getting no help at all.
So again, I am very sorry for the outburst, and I want to thank you for answering my question.
I will try what the announcement says by reinstalling the soundcard ETC and hopefully, I will be getting back to you to offer you a virtual pint (or 3).
    Thank you Jason.
    Colin.

  • [SOLVED] Sound will come out of the speakers, but not the headphones.

So, the headphones won't play any sound (they work with my phone, not on my laptop) when plugged in.
When the headphones are plugged into the jack, the speakers mute, so I know that the laptop is registering that they got plugged in, but still no sound comes out.

Does anyone have a hint for me about this problem: we can use a Discoverer report via Discoverer Desktop, but when we try to access the same report through Discoverer Viewer, we get an error message: the page cannot be found.

It sounds like discoverer viewer may not be correctly configured or the permissions on the database account may not be correct. Can you run any reports through Discoverer viewer as any other user? What version of Discoverer are you running?

  • Calculation of output tax A1 in only through Sd but nto through F-22

    Hi all,
While making posting through SD transaction VA01 by giving output tax code A1,tax is getting calculated but the same tax code A1 when used in TCode F-22 (manual FI posting) tax is not getting calculated even if we check the calculate tax and give the tax code A1.
Can anybody please explain why it is not getting calculated through F-22.
Thanks in advance, points are reward for the relevant answer.
    Regards
    SAINT

VA01 (Create Sales Order) does not create any FI postings.  Tax may be getting calculated basing on the rate in the tax code definition and must be appearing on the sales order conditions.  But when you enter a customer invoice (F-22), it generates an FI posting and needs a GL account behind the tax code.  See if there is a GL account attached to your tax code (FTXP, enter country and tax code and in the next screen, click on 'Tax accounts').
