Beat logo missing when adjusting volume

So i had to clean my Pavilion dv6 laptop's hardware. When i got it back everything seems in working condition except for the fact that when i now adjust my volume a generic audio logo comes out instead of the beats disc logo. I have no idea if this means that the beats audio doesn't work or not. Personally, im partial to how the logo looks when im adjusting volume so i want to know how to get the logo back and if this means my laptop isn't working on beats audio anymore.

Hi,
Can you post back with the following.
1.  The full Model No. and Product No. of your dv6 series notebook - see Here for a guide on locating this information.
2.  The full version of the operating system you are using ( ie Windows 7 64bit ).

  • My mac book pro seems to be distorting (crackling) songs through itunes / any program or site when adjusting volume. (only happens adjusting using keyboard short cut)

    What i've got:
Mac book pro: 10.6.8 OS X
    What's happening:
A couple of weeks ago, I was adjusting the volume of an i-tunes song using the apple wireless keyboard. When i adjust it, either up or down, crackling and skipping of the song occurs. Happens to ALL songs on itunes, only happens if I am using my keyboard or mac book controls to change the volume. (does not occur when I adjust using i-tunes volume control). I wanted to see if it was i-tunes or not, but it seems even when adjusting volume of a website song or anything crackling and distortion still occurs!
    This is complete bull poop.
Let me know if anyone has any ideas, because I am STUMPED.

Since your issue occurs when using iTunes, post in their forum area.

  • Missing volume bar when adjusting volume

I have just got HP touchsmart 610, upon updating everything, notice when I adjust volume up or down there is white bar showing up on screen instead individual bars , can't find info where I can update this or perhaps driver is missing any updates for this will be appreciated..

    Hello Jake0505
If you could elaborate a bit on your issue? There are different issues on this thread from the graphical representation of the volume bar being different to it missing. If you could be more specific about your exact issue I will endeavor to help.
Thank you for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • Part of logo missing when exporting to PDF

I'm running ID CS6 and Acrobat Pro X.
When I export a document as a PRINT or INTERACTIVE pdf, part of my logo goes missing. The funny thing is that our design team are all running the same programs and 3 of our members can view the logo completely, the other 4 see half of the logo missing, I can see the logo just fine.
    • The logo mark is visible, but the typography that is part of the logo is missing?! And it's a single grouped object in Illustrator.
    • We've compared the settings on our teams' programs and on my ID program as well, and nothing seems be remotely related to the issue.
    • Finder on Mac shows mixed visibility in file preview on different computers. Some show, some don't.
    • In the past, I've been able to place vector objects from Illustrator into Indesign completely fine. I prefer vector over image because it allows me scaling flexibility.
    • I have not changed any settings on my program between the time I was able and not able to do this. I don't understand why different people are getting different results on their screens. And in a couple of occasions, it has happened to one of our team members and it fixed itself mysteriously.
I would like to provide screen shots, but it is a private design.
One key note to realize is that the logo is completely outlined and grouped as a single object. I then save the logo into the same folder as the ID file (tried both, .EPS and .AI) and placed it (CMD+D) into InDesign. Both files are CMYK files.
I then make my PDF by hitting (CMD+E) to export, choose PDF Print. On the PDF settings, I choose [High Quality Print], compatible with Acrobat 5 and beyond, uncheck optimize for web, include bleeds, no color conversion.
I've had issues in the past where hidden layers in an .AI are still visible in the PDF. The .AI is imported into InDesign then exported as PDF... The hidden layers from the .AI preview in Finder, but then vanish when opening the PDF...so buggy.
    Make any sense?!...

Similar to Mikey's response… If the logo has a spot color in it and it overlaps any raster image (or vice versa), then the overlapping part will appear white if "Overprint Preview" is turned off in Acrobat. This is really a bug. One possible fix is to export the PDF as an PDF/X-4:2010 in the "Standard" drop down—this preserves all transparency layering without flattening.
This issue causes frequent headaches and confusion in my workplace, especially since a lot of people want/need to hold on to the PDF/X-1a standard, which flattens the artwork.

  • Audio question, clicking/popping when adjusting volume?

    Hi all,
I returned my last touch because of loud hissing when headphones are plugged in. I notice it on higher quality headphones. when i move the volume slider i also hear this clicking/popping noise. Does anyone else hear that when they move the volume slider up and down or is an indication of a problem? it almost sounds like a poor sound effect. any thoughts would be helpful.
be sure to pause the music/movie when testing...

^^^ same here, no hissing but faint pops when adjusting the volume when a song is on pause in the 3/4 to full volume range. Never noticed it until I saw this thread though.

  • Won't unmute / annoying clicking sound when adjusting volume

Hi, I'm using an HP Pavillion dv5 Notebook PC.
After muting then unmuting in Windows Vista (or using the touch button) I will have no sound.  It returns when I restart or sometimes after a random amount of time.  I've had this problem since purchasing the computer.
Another extremely annoying issue is that when using the touch volume slider there will be a clicking sound to go with the onscreen graphic of the volume changing.  The clicking lags and sometimes goes on for several seconds after I've stopped touching the slider (sometimes 30seconds+ if I use the slider a lot).
If anyone has a solution or suggestion for either of these issues it would be muchly appreciated, thanks.

I have an HP Pavilion dv7-1003ea Entertainment Notebook but had the same problem which HP were unable to resolve for me. I solved it by replacing one of the infuriating sounds with a short period of silence. If you look in C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\HP QuickTouch you may find 3 WAV files and a program SelectiveSound.exe which if you run it will enable you to switch between the 3 WAV files.
I recorded a brief period of silence using a recording program called Polderbits but you could use any similar program. I renamed one of the 3 WAV files (in case I ever needed to revert) and saved my silent file with the original name of the WAV file in the HP Quick Touch directory. Incidentally simply deleting or renaming one of the WAV files didn't work. The system seems to remember the sound it last used. You actually need to replace the sound with a period of silence. Windows had a built in recorder in XP (C:\Windows\System32\sndrec32.exe)which produced WAV files. The similar program in Vista can be found in Start\All Programs\Accessories\Sound Recorder but alas for some reason known only to the Nerds at Microsoft this will only produce WAV files if you have Vista Home Basic. If you have the Premium version it will only produce WMA files which don't work in HPs QuickTouch.
I don't know who takes the prize for the most infuriating here. The idiot at HP who thinks its a good idea for a volume control to click at you everytime you use it or the idiot at Microsoft who decided what type of sound clip can be produced with your version of Vista. Good luck

  • The icon when i change the volume up or down is no longer the beats logo, it is a simple megaphone.

    1. HP Pavilion m6 Notebook PC
    2. Windows 7 64 bit
    3. none
    4. I accidentally deleted IDT Audio, i was trying to get rid of programs that i didnt need, i didnt know this controlled beats.
i noticed that my Beats Audio Control Panel was gone and i searched online and found out i needed to re-download IDT, so i did. Beats Audio Control Panel is now back but when i change the volume up, down, or off, it shows an ugly little megaphone icon and ugly little white bars, instead of the shiny silver beats logo and the silver bars.  I hate the new logo with the mega phone how can i get the beats logo back?
i tried a system restore from before i uninstalled IDT but it still has the same problem.
    Please reply with any ideas

    Hi,
Try reinstalling the HP OSD Utility on the following link.
    http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp55001-55500/sp55152.exe
After this has completed, restart the notebook.

Hi, I have a Z10 running 10.3.1.1565 and have the following issue that appeared out of nowhere. When I try to adjust volume it will not adjust the volume and there is a lock symbol next to the volume. Have tried restarting with and without battery pull... but nothing :-(. What is going on and how do I fix?

Have you tried adjusting in Settings >Main Volume?
Do you have Parental Controls enabled?

I already clean the jack and dock, reset it and still cannot be fixed. I updated it to IOS 7.1.1 recently only, does it have connection with the inconvenience I am experiencing right now? What should I do? Thanks!

  • When adjusting the audio volume in a selected region, why does it give me a curved line instead of straight and why cant I change it like i can with a fade in our out?

When adjusting the audio volume in a selected region, why does it give me a curved line as a transition instead of straight, and why cant I change the fade shape like i can with a fade in our out? When I slide thet volume all the way down it makes a very abrupt down curve. It's audibly noticdible.
    Thank you.

Use the range selection tool and select the portion of the clip you want to change the volume on. Drag the volume line down and FCP will create keyframes which you can adjust as you want to get a fade shape.

  • Flash player crashes when adjusting audio volume

MacBook Pro, OS X Version 10.9.5
    Safari internet browser, version 7.1
I am taking online classes via megameeting.com.  When loading the classroom, flash works perfectly fine.  However, as soon as I adjust the computer's audio volume (either by pressing the keyboard button or manually clicking and dragging the volume adjustment slider bar on my desktop), I immediately get a white screen with a gray "plugin failure" message.
I can run the same classroom simultaneously on the same computer utilizing google chrome, and flash does not crash on the chrome browser when I adjust the volume.
I followed the directions to perform a clean uninstall and reinstall (running Flash version 15), and I still have the same problem.  My settings are set to allow internet plugins.  So far, I have not detected this problem where adjusting the audio volume crashes flash on other websites.  Any help?

    Hi Gboyaj,

  • Weird ticking sound when adjusting the volume...

    Hi all
When adjusting the volume using the F3 F4, my new ibook 12" g4 makes a weird ticking sound before it catches up an adjusts the volume with the normal "blop" sound. Is this normal? Batteri is on "normal."
    Thanks
    Erlend

I have this same problem with my new 1.33Ghz iBook G4. I've had the logic board replaced twice and the top assembly with the speakers replaced twice also. It still makes the ticking noise and it's quite specific to reproduce so none of the Apple tech have spent the time to reproduce it. I think this problem is more wide spread than Apple realizes.
Here are the factors that HAVE to exist for this problem to be reproduced:
    1. The computer must be have the AC adapter unplugged and running off of the battery.
    2. Un-click "Play feedback when volume is changed" in System Preferences under "Sound" (While this is not exclusive to having the "ticking audio" problem occur, it is easier to notice with this box unchecked)
    3. 10.4.2 or 10.4.3 (even happens on a fresh install)
    4. Push the F4 and F5 keys to change the volume for at least 10-20 seconds and the "ticking sound" will occur. (the lagging after the tick is most annoying.)
Launching iTunes and playing audio will temporarily make this problem subside. Once this problem occurs with "Play feedback when volume is changed" unchecked, it will continue until audio is played or the sound preference panel is accessed. Often the sound balance will be 100% to the left after this problem has started occuring. (Checking the Sound preference panel shows this)
Has anyone had this problem fixed permanently? Apple seems to be unaware of this problem. 10.4.4 could fix it. Unfortunately we are not even sure if this is a hardware problem or a software issue. I will post with details of what happens when I bring my machine in to the Apple store for the 4th or 5th time.

  • A small logo of Dolby Digital or DVD-Audio missing when play DVD-A or DVD software with SPDIF

I can see these logo before when I play DVD-A or play DVD movies with SPDIF enabled on DVD software such as PowerDVD. And now it's gone, when play SPDIF, it does not show these logos at all.
    I appreciate any advises.
    Thanks

for the logos, someone asked how to know what kind of signal his card was decoding. I provided 2 examples:
    http://shingoyab.free.fr/creative/dolby.jpg
    http://shingoyab.free.fr/creative/dts.jpg
if you don't see them but hear correct surround sound, don't bother. On some situation (not determined which one though) the logo disapears. I lost them some rare times. Last times was when listening to some DD music when programming small homeworks in OpenGL.
