Beats Audio Equalizer Problem

So I got my laptop about 2 weeks ago there were no problems, until about last week when i opened up the Beats Audio sound manager and in the LISTENING EXPERIENCE tab, it was missing some things. But a few days before then, I was using it and it was working fine, and now it's not. The bars dont do anything either.
Heres a picture of my Equalizer

Hi,
Try using Recovery Manager to reinstall your original Realtek HD Audio driver as this will also reinstall the Beats Audio interface - the procedure for using recovery manager to reinstall Software and Drivers is detailed in the document on the link below.
Recovery Manager - Windows 8.
After the reinstallation has completed, restart the notebook.

  • Beats Audio Equalizer

I have (2) ENVY17 2000 Notebooks both built in 2011. The Beats Audio Equalizer Panels are completely different. One has a very useful output graph that makes it easy to fine tune the panel's Hz slide tabs for maximum enjoyment. The other has no such graph, just the slide tabs along with a "feature" module to dial in things like echo, noise reduction, or to boost vocal output. Can the preloaded one that I don't like be reloaded with the one I do??

I too have the Envy and the same set up. I know that there just must be a better piece of software-- by Beats?-- to run the very substantial speakers in this system. Everything is turned up as loudly as it can be, all slides full open, but it still sounds quite muted to my ear.
If anyone knows of a better driver for the HP Envy with Beats Audio, please reply? thank you!!

  • Beats Audio equalizer frozen

I have an HP Envy 17-j034ca Notebook PC with Beats Audio.
I recently did an upgrade to Windows 8.1/ 64 bit. The new ADT audio driver appears to have over ridden the Beats Audio equalizer and it has become inoperable. (the sound works but Beats not beating.)
Should I roll back the ADT driver? Is this the best solution?   Thanks

    Hi @Loogan
Welcome to the HP Support Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the HP Forums I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More.
I see that you are missing your Beats Audio equalizer after upgrading to Windows 8.1. I will be happy to assist you with this. You can try rolling back the driver to see if that restores the Beats Audio for your. If that doesn't work try installing this IDT High-Definition Audio Driver in case Windows just installed a generic driver.

  • Beats Audio fluctuation problems

Hello, I have the HP ENVY 17-k011nr and I recieved it the day I am posting this and right out of the box it has had this problem where when music is playing, it auto equilizes by making the music louder and quieter. This happens frequently and is very distracting and annoying. I have seen a lot of other people having problems with this as well but if they found a solution to their problem, it usually didnt work for me.
If you have any suggestions on what I can do, please help!

    Hi @martzip
Welcome to the HP Forums! I see that you are having a problem with your Beats Audio. I have a few things for you to try. First use the Recovery Manager to Restore the Original Drivers, look for the IDT High-Definition Audio driver.
Right click your speaker icon in the lower right corner and select Playback Devices. This will take you to your Sound properties. There are two things we are going to try here.
First click on Speakers/Headphones, then click on Properties. In the new Windows select the Advanced tab then change Default Format drop down to the highest quality. Also make sure that under Exclusive Mode that you uncheck “Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device.” Click Apply to save the changes.
Close out of that Window but stay in Sound. Then go to the Communications tab and make sure that “Do nothing” is the option selected.

  • Disabling sound equalizer and other effects on HP Pavilion DV6 with beats audio

    Hi
We are using the DV6 with beats audio as a platform for our device.
In order for us to do that, we need to disable every filter, equalizer, noise cancelletion, etc' on the laptop.
How do we do that? any ideas?
    Thank you,

  • Hp Pavilion dv6-6c35dx Windows 7 beats audio problems

Product name : Hp Pavilion dv6-6c35dx
Operating System : Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 64 Bit
I'm having a problem with some of the sliders in my beats audio options. The sliders in the graphic equalizer section work just fine, but the ones to the left of it - bass, treble, center, etc - have no effect on the sound no matter how I adjust them. Below is a picture of what I'm talking about.  This problem seemed to happen shortly after I needed to reset my pc back to factory settings. I've gone to the drivers section of the hp website and got the HD IDT audio driver for my model called "sp58131" and installed it but all it did was reset the sliders, the problem still persists. Is there anything else I can do?

    Hi Vivi,
I understand you are having issues with your HP Pavilion dv6-6c35dx Notebook and Beats Audio. I would uninstall the driver from the device manager and any others that might be in the Audio. Then reinstall it from here.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

  • Today is HP Expert Day - someone ask about the Beats audio problem!

    Let's do it!

    Hi
Try fn+b toggle just open more and more of the Beats.exe process. I too have had this issue. The fix is a simple one.
Make sure you have the SWSETUP folder from the factory install backed up. If not, you need to get a copy of the HPTONECONTROL HPQUICKLAUNCH, and the IDT DRIVER (Audio driver) from that folder.
I tried to get these drivers and programs from the HP support website for the Envy 17, fn+b with these just causes more and more of the Beats.exe process to open up. Even getting HPQUICKLAUNCH and the IDT DRIVER from the HP Support website for my Envy 17 did not give me a working Beats Audio.
Note that HPTONECONTROL is not listed on the HP Support website. You must get this from the SWSETUP folder.
I have tested different combinations of different versions of HPQUICKLAUNCH, HPTONECONTROL, and the IDT DRIVER. Only the factory default versions of these actually give a working Beats Audio and fn+b toggle.
Hope this helps and saves you the trouble. Now time to figure out how to get back my life.
Edit: This applies to the Envy 17 and Envy 14 since they both use the HM55 chipset.
Let us know how it goes!

  • Problem Disabling Beats Audio w/ Windows 8.1

Hey guys thanks for having this support form thing, I come on here all the time to get my issues fixed so I don't have to bother you guys on the phone. However, I have one problem I cannot seem to find on the forums.
I have a HP Envy dv6 laptop with Beats Audio that I got last summer, and, unfortunately, I'm not too much of a fan of the Beats mixing. With Windows 8.0, when I go into the Audio Control Panel for Beats Audio, I would go to the Listening Experience tab and uncheck "Beats Audio". The little sliders would go gray and my bass in the Sound Control Panel would be set down to -12 as per usual. I would bring that back up to +4 and still had very nice sound quality. However, I updated to the new Windows 8.1 and noticed my audio didn't sound like it did before. I checked my Sound Control Panel and, finding that was not the problem, checked on my Beats Audio Control Panel to find "Beats Audio" on the LIstening Experience tab was rechecked. So I unchecked it, expecting the tabs to gray out again. They didn't. I played with the still white sliders and found they were still affecting my audio experience, even with "Beats Audio" unchecked.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC and even tried using the one found in another forum thread (http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-PC-Sound-and-Audio/Windows-8-1-Beats-audio/td-p/3025971/highli... bottom post from VJ_R) but to no avail. Is there a way this can be fixed?
Thanks for any help in advance!
    JC

Hi JCViscera. Your product has a specific Window 8.1 download available for your IDT driver. Can you try to install this one (if you haven't already) to see if this fixes the issue?

  • Problem Disabling Beats Audio w/ Windows 10

Hi - I have  problem with Beats Audio Control Panel after upgrade windows 8 .1 to windows 10. I updated the audio drivers which didn't solve the problem.
Product Name: Hp Pavilion dv7-7051swProduct Number:  B6G49EA#AKD Driver Versions:IDT High Definition Audio CODEC - 6.10.6491.0
Intel(R) Display Audio Driver   - 6.16.0.3154NVIDIA Virtual Audio Driver   - 1.2.30.0 I tried also reinstall this driver but it didn't help.
It's propapbly the same issue as here:http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-PC-Sound-and-Audio/Problem-Disabling-Beats-Audio-w-Windows-8-1/m-p/3208867#M43609  Thanks for any help.DMaster

Hey, I had the same problem as you and solved it. Product Name: HP ENVY 15 Notebook PC
    Product Number: J0C48EA#AB9
OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit While using Windows 8.1, what I did to disable the Beats Audio Control Panel was to update the driver to the generic High Definition Audio, as this guy shows:
https://goo.gl/0XN7Nl When I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, the new OS started using the IDT driver, enabling the Beats Audio Control Panel.
I've tried to do the same under Windows 10 but there was Generic Audio Driver a.k.a. High Definition Audio Driver available. This is what I did:
    1. Download, install the High Definition Audio Tool from Microsoft Hardware Dev Center, and restart your PC. This is the generic audio driver that was missing:
    http://download.microsoft.com/download/4/8/D/48D7ED36-832B-41D7-AE0A-04AD7D8CA837/HdauSetup_x64.msi
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/Dn613936(v=VS.85).aspx 2. Open Device Manager -> Sound, video and game controllers
     3. Righ Click Menu over IDT High Definition Audio CODEC and select Update Driver Software
     4. Choose Browse my computer for driver software
     5. Choose Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer
     6. Choose High Definition Audio Device
     7. Select Yes in the Update Driver Warning 8. The High Definition Audio Codec is installed and the Beats Audio Control Panel disabled Now I can hear all my music again without the awful Beats Audio effects and volume variations that are a nag.
Hope this helps you out. Thank you. hitek81

  • Problem with beats audio

I have a HP Pavilion - 14-v140 laptop that came with Beats audio. When I playing music I noticed that the volume has decreases and then increases Why?

Does the volume icon show the volume fluctuating? If not, this could be a problem with either the music you're listening to, or your computer's audio system.
    I hope this helps!

  • Beats audio android app external sound problem.

    Hey guys,
Recently i downloaded the Beats Audio Android app for my Optimus 2. At first it worked fine, the external sound was good, as well as the headphone output. Very shortly after the external sound became very fuzzy and loud, with the headphone output still working perfectly. The only feature that would play sound without fuzz was speakerphone while in a call. I decided to factory default my phone thinking it would fix the problem, i was already going to do it anyway. Come to find out everything got wiped including beats audio, but the same old external sound problems persisted. I'm not sure how to fix it and it is very annoying and sometimes randomly goes off. Help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Maybe it has something to do with the master volume? Although i'm not sure how to access that either..

    Hello,
I see that you are having trouble with the beats audio app on your phone. I would suggest that you post your issue here as well for assistance. The link will take you to the android forum for your phone.
