Hello @Tyle_rrrr ,
Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand you're no longer able to boot your notebook after interrupting a system recovery.
Your best bet is to proceed with another recovery from the HP Recovery Manager. You should still have access to the recovery partition by tapping F11 while the notebook turns on.
If this doesn't work you will need to order the recovery DVDs if you have not already made them. You can order them on the HP - Drivers & Downloads page for your notebook or over the phone with HP Phone Support. You can contact HP Technical Support at 1-800-474-6836 in North America. For all other regions click here.
Let me know if this helps.

  • Lost Beats Audio Control Panel, Windows Experience Index and HP Power Manager on fresh install...

    HP Pavilion m6-1035dx, product B5S06UA#ABA
Please help! I installed a 240gb SanDisk Extreme SSD and a fresh install of Win 7 home premium 64-bit OEM. I did not reinstall the factory OS and all that goes along with it. I have managed to reinstall all drivers (it seems) but am having the following problems: 1) I have installed IDT HD Audio Driver sp56953 but it does not provide the Beats Audio control panel, any idea how to get it? 2) The Windows Experience Index will not provide a performance evaluation, something in the system is providing it with an error message when it attempts to rate the system and it stops. 3) I have installed HP Power Manager sp57398 and can bring up the control panel but the changes I indicate will not stay applied, when I bring up Power Manager again it show that no selections are made. I knew this fresh install was going to provide headaches, please help if you can. Thanks.

I suspect this may all be related to a common cause.
When updating the windows experience index, what is the error message you receive?
Has the video card driver been installed? It is necessary for the windows experience index to complete.
Also, ensure the HP Software Framework is installed.  It is under the Software Solutions category.
You did a clean install of Windows 7. Has all the software and drivers for Windows 7 from HP been installed? Here is a link should you need it.

  • Pavilion d6 with Beats Audio and Windows 7: the Sound Stops When Headphones are Removed

The sound works fine, then I put in headphones and usually the sound plays fine, though sometimes it stops working after making a repeating sound for a second.  When I remove the headphones the sound will not come out of the speakers and if I plus the headphones back in no sound comes out.  The only way I can get the sound to work again is to restart my computer.
If I run the sound troubleshooter it doesnt detect a problem.  I tried the fix in this thread http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-PC-Sound-and-Audio/Beats-audio-pavilion-dv6-No-sound/td-p/2169..., but that didn't work.  I would really appreciate a solution, thanks a ton!

    Hi,
    Try the following.
Download the IDT Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
    http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp63501-64000/sp63555.exe
When done, open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Sound, Video and Game Controllers.  Right click the IDT device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall.
When done, shut down the notebook by holding down the left Shift key as you click on Shutdown to temporarily prevent a hybrid boot.
Unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery.  Hold down the Power button for 20 seconds.  Re-insert the battery and plug in the AC Adapter.
Tap away at the esc key as you start the notebook to launch the Start-up Menu and then select f10 to enter the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the defaults ( this is sometimes f9, but the menu at the bottom will show the correct key ), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.  Press f10 to save the setting and again use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.
Let Windows fully load - it will automatically load an audio driver, but just let this complete.  Then open your Downloads folder, right click on the IDT installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation.  When this has completed, right click the speaker icon in the Taskbar and select Playback Devices.  Left click 'Speakers/HP' once to highlight it and then click the Set Default button - check if you now have audio.

  • H8-1287 Beats Audio controls do not work in Windows 8.1

I've upgraded to Windows 8.1 and installed the IDT High-Definition audio driver from HP's website.  The surround sounds seems to be working but the controls do not work to modify the EQ etc.  I've seen the problem has been resolved for Envy laptops but all the links for the software appear to only be for the notebooks and not compatible with my desktop system.  I've downloaded the available software (IDT High-Definition Audio driver) found under my HPE HI-1287 product from HP's support site but the Beats audio control panel doesn't seem to make any sound quality changes.  Hopefully there is a driver somewhere compatible with my desktop system that allows controling the audio properly.  Thanks.

    Hello @KICR,
I understand that the Beats Audio Console is not adjusting the audio settings on your HP Pavilion HPE h8-1287c Desktop PC running Windows 8.1. According to the HP Pavilion HPE h8-1287c Desktop PC Drivers page there are no Windows 8.1 drivers for your computer. I can only assume that this means your computer is currently using Windows default drivers or Windows 8 drivers and the Beats Audio Console is not able to interact properly with the currently installed driver.
All I can recommend is that you check back periodically to the drivers page I linked above and see if Windows 8.1 drivers have been created. Other than that your only option at this time would be to use the HP Support document: Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8) to restore your computer back to Windows 8 where the Beats Audio Console has drivers that are compatible.
I hope this helps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • Problem Disabling Beats Audio w/ Windows 8.1

Hey guys thanks for having this support form thing, I come on here all the time to get my issues fixed so I don't have to bother you guys on the phone. However, I have one problem I cannot seem to find on the forums.
I have a HP Envy dv6 laptop with Beats Audio that I got last summer, and, unfortunately, I'm not too much of a fan of the Beats mixing. With Windows 8.0, when I go into the Audio Control Panel for Beats Audio, I would go to the Listening Experience tab and uncheck "Beats Audio". The little sliders would go gray and my bass in the Sound Control Panel would be set down to -12 as per usual. I would bring that back up to +4 and still had very nice sound quality. However, I updated to the new Windows 8.1 and noticed my audio didn't sound like it did before. I checked my Sound Control Panel and, finding that was not the problem, checked on my Beats Audio Control Panel to find "Beats Audio" on the LIstening Experience tab was rechecked. So I unchecked it, expecting the tabs to gray out again. They didn't. I played with the still white sliders and found they were still affecting my audio experience, even with "Beats Audio" unchecked.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC and even tried using the one found in another forum thread (http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-PC-Sound-and-Audio/Windows-8-1-Beats-audio/td-p/3025971/highli... bottom post from VJ_R) but to no avail. Is there a way this can be fixed?
Thanks for any help in advance!
    JC

Hi JCViscera. Your product has a specific Window 8.1 download available for your IDT driver. Can you try to install this one (if you haven't already) to see if this fixes the issue?

Go to Device Manager > Sound, video and game controllers
    Expand then unistal IDT software

  • Beats audio on windows 8.1

    Hello sir,
    I'm Charan from Hyderabad.
I recently purchased a HP Pavilion 15-P001TX notebook pc around a month ago..
It came with beats audio.. but, after about 10 days of purchase, i've downloaded and installed "realtek HD audio" from the internet..
Few days back one of my friends advised me to uninstall it as beats gives the highest quality sound.. I did so..
After that i observed that my lap is giving significantly low sound with poor quality.. i then searched for my beats software in my start menu thinking to set volumes up in that..
But i couldn't find it anymore.. Nothing with the word 'beats" in my lap
Please tell me how can i get it back.
    thanks in advance!

  • Beats audio Panel Missing after upgrading to Windows 8.1 and installing HP Reccomended Drivers

I recently upgraded to Windows 8.1 on my HP Envy H8-1450. The Beats audio Panel Disappeared and only shows IDT.
I uninstalled and re-installed the HP reccomended audio drivers several times....no luck. The sound does not sound as it did under Windows 8...actually it is crapy.
    Please help.....Thanks.

    lacadan,
Did you reboot your PC after installing the IDT codec in Device Manager?
I have upgraded from Win 8 to Win 8.1, have the same driver (6.10.6491.0) as you, and also have a fully functioning Beats Audio Control Panel in Control Panel.
When initially removing the incorrect Beats audio codec in Device Manager you should also check completely remove the drivers from your system, reboot, and Win 8.1 should install the correct version of Beats. You then have to reboot your PC again to complete the installation of Beats.

  • Touchsmart 610 beats audio on Windows 8.1

    Hello,
I have an HP TouchSmart 610 PC with Beats Audio.  After upgrading to Windows 8.1 from Windows 8, the Beats Audio button triggers the logo on the screen, but the sound does not change.  Is there an updated driver that is needed?
    Thanks,
    Wes

    Hello WesGipe,
I have read your post on how your Beats Audio button does not change the sound on your computer, and I would be happy to guide you towards a resolution! To begin, I will need to ask you a few questions:
What is the Product and Model Number of your desktop computer?
Has your computer completed all of its important Windows Updates?
Is this an on-going, or recent issue?
In the meantime, I recommend following this document on Testing for Hardware Failures (Windows 8). This should help determine if there is a hardware issue or not. In addition, I also suggest ensuring your drivers are all up to date by following this document on Download or Update Software and Drivers for HP Computers.
Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, as well as the requested information above. I look forward to your reply!

  • Hp Pavilion dv6-6c35dx Windows 7 beats audio problems

Product name : Hp Pavilion dv6-6c35dx
Operating System : Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 64 Bit
I'm having a problem with some of the sliders in my beats audio options. The sliders in the graphic equalizer section work just fine, but the ones to the left of it - bass, treble, center, etc - have no effect on the sound no matter how I adjust them. Below is a picture of what I'm talking about.  This problem seemed to happen shortly after I needed to reset my pc back to factory settings. I've gone to the drivers section of the hp website and got the HD IDT audio driver for my model called "sp58131" and installed it but all it did was reset the sliders, the problem still persists. Is there anything else I can do?

    Hi Vivi,
I understand you are having issues with your HP Pavilion dv6-6c35dx Notebook and Beats Audio. I would uninstall the driver from the device manager and any others that might be in the Audio. Then reinstall it from here.
    Hope this helps.
