You know i think that sometimes we have to take a step back, and realise how lucky we are being part of the mac community. I was born in 1944 and I am bit slow on my apple G4.
On Feb 15th I purchased for our club, iLife'6 & Work'6 from the new Apple Store Meadowhall uk and bearing in mind I new nothing about web design or publishing on the net, I set about to produce a web site for our club, I found iWeb so easy to use and Pages 2 is brilliant, both applications really work well together, here is an instance, I produced some graphs in Pages 2, I then Edit/Copy and then Edit/Paste Match Style into iWeb, then add a shadow and reduce the opacity to 1%, this will make iWeb produce your file as an image thus keeping your formatting correct on any computer, have a look on our site.

Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone should restart. This will have no affect on your data.

PWA 2007: Progress field in the view "my assignments": I cant enter time in the days because appears locked

I am having the following trouble in Project Server 2007(any help is much appreciated):
In the view "my assignments", where the persons report the time worked each day in the projects,
some days of some projects appear locked and dont allow to enter any value and I have not
realized if there is some special configuration on the server that allows to lock the days of
the field "progress" in "my assignments" view so that no one can report the times worked.

Hi,
seems that you do not force tracking method on server, so PMs can choose. So a project can have percent complete or Actual and Remaining Work as method.
Open your project, go to Collaboration (hopefully the correct translation, currently no English system available) - Collaboration Options.
I assume that in last section, option 1 or 2 is selected. Select option 3 and publish your project. Afterwards, users should be able to enter their time by day for this project.
To force PMs to use this method, go to Server Settings - Task Settings and Display. Select "Hours of work done per period" and check "Force project managers to use the progress reporting method specified above for all projects".
Does that work?

Why does not the bar appear on screen of Forecastfox weather that I already installed? My Firefox version is 5

I installed the complement Forecastfox weather in my version 5 of Mozilla. It is installed because appears in the menu of complements. When I enter the configuration of this complement it allows me perfoirm it but then the menu does not appear on the screen

Downgrade to FlashPlayer 12.
I will add a link to a related post later. Flash 13 causes problems, and is a known issue with some older MAC s.

That's usually related to trouble with the QuickTime.msi.
Unfortunately, these sorts of msi-related troubles have gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any QuickTime entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)

Using Sql Result and Limit Value in Prompt OBIEE 11.1.1.5

Dear Gurus,
I have prompt hierarchy like this:
Year
Quarter
Month
Which are using limit value (Quarter depend on Year, Month depend on Quarter), but I have issue because appear null also in those prompt
I have checked my database, view, repository there are not null.
My questions is, how to remove null in prompt when sql result can't use together with limit value, I don't know how to remove it using column filter.
NB:I already using presentation variable in sql result in order to remove null and using constraint, but it show nothing in prompt view unless we press apply button.
So I don't use this

Hi,
Can you edit your prompt here you can find show option then select SQL Result please modify statement like below.
SELECT your column name FROM subject area where your column name is not null
Go--> Edit your prompt--> Show--> Select Sql result---> change statement like above.
Second way.
Go to physical layer then double click your column name here you can find *"nullable"* option please check that.
Go--> Physical Layer--> Extract table --> select your column name-->double click your column name--> here you can find option like Nullable please check it.

My iPad Mini keeps saying "incorrect wifi password"

So just recently my ipad had dissconnected itself from our internet, i had attempted to re enter our regular wifi password which is about thirty numbers long, and it said incorrect, i figured sicne it was so long i mistyped something. so i typed it in another 10 or so times, no change. i later called apple which got me no where because appearently you now have to pay for phone sevices which is absouloutly ludacris. And seeing as our closest apple stores are in Detroit, or London, my parents cant just go take me whenever.
So anyways, i have googled every possible thing i can, and i still havent found any troublshooting things that work. Soft resets, and resseting network settings didnt help either. We thought it may have been our router, but yesterday i hd gotten a new phone which had no problems at all connecting to our internet, as well as my sister who had forgotten and reconected to our internet with out a problem too, i have tried updating to the latest ios but my itunes wont let me do it through the computer, and seeing as i have no wifi on my ipad i cant do it that way either.
So now im trying all i can to try and get it to update. I dont really want to restore because if i do and it doesnt fix anything, im stuck with an ipad that is basically usless because i cant download apps without wifi. And i have tried the whole turning on and off your router sequence many times and it hasnt worked.
So is there any way that i can fix this without restoring or going to apple? Restoring is my last resort.

Even though other devices can connect, it may still be worth resetting the router. Does it connect to other Wi-Fi networks?
If that doesn't work, you've done all the basic troubleshooting, so it's time for a restore.
If that doesn't work, you may have a hardware issue.

from when i update acrobat XI to Acrobat XI Pro, after opened one PDF with Acrobat i canot delete from my computer because appear the error message: " impossible delete the file because still open in file manager".

Quit Adobe Reader if it is running.
Close all the file windows except one.
On the menu bar click View
At the left click Details pane (so that Preview pan goes off).
Now delete the file.

Hi, I have a problem with Essbase Excel Add-in, i can´t retrieve because appears this error: Error: "You do not have suffficient access to perform a lock on this database Plese, help me. Idon´t have speak inglish.

If the problem is limited to a single PC, I would suggest that you uninstall the Essbase client on that PC, reboot, and the reinstall the client including the addin. It appears that some sort of macro is running on that PC that does teh login in update mode. I'd also remove all copies of any excel spreadsheets that might be involved, copying a clean version from another PC. If you are using any third-party tools, like toolbars or other addins for excel and essbase, I'd clean them out also. You haven't said whether a login from an new, blank spreadsheet works. If it does, the problem is in the spreadsheet you are using to retrieve the application, otherwise, the problem may be in a corrupted add-in, or even possibly with your excell installation. It's hard to diagnose a problem when you haven't given us any more information about the problem. You haven't really answered any of the questions we've asked about behaviour and whether the problem existsin certain other circumstances. I'm certain that if language is a problem, someone might be able to help you in some language other than English, but generally this forum works in English because it a a common language in the Hyperion community.

My Time Capsule "went Kaput" but I "think" the Hard Drive is ok.

I took the hard drive out and plugged into an enclosure and it shows up as two items;
An AWS swap and AWS swapconfiguration. I click on it and it doesnt show anything.
Perhaps its format is different than a normal one.
Can anyone give me advice on how to read the files so I can save some of them?

So I've spent the day wondering what tack to take with this thing. I'm not clear on why it would disable the WiFi connectivity but that's what happened with the first one too. I can't imagine paying to recover 1TB of data so I was trying to figure someting else out.
1. I thought about ripping her open to take out the drive but what then of the router part? Will that be useable any longer?
2. I thought about trying to connect the TC to my iMac and attempt downloading files from the disc direct, if that were even possible, but I was assuming I'd need a crossover ethernet cable, which I had--once--but couldn't locate.
3. I tried daisychaining a USB through some other externals to the iMac but that didn't work.
4. However I had it in the back of my mind that TM created some sort of proprietary file system when backing up to TC and that they wouldn't be available anyway. Reading above I can't tell if I was right or wrong in that supposition.
Anyway, you all sound like a clever bunch. What would be the best approach to take here? I ordered myself a Netgear router from Amazon as a back up just in case. (I can return it within 30 days if I don't use it)
5. Is it possiblle to remove the drive and just use the TC as a router?
6. I can't tell you what itereation of TC this is. The drive isn't being recognized so I can't get any info on it. It's at least from 2010, I should think. I think it may be a 3rd gen and my first one a 2nd gen but that would only be a guess.

I have added some numbering to help answer.
Let me start with number 6 because it matters.
6. Get the model number off the rubber base mat.. it is A1xxx .. you may need strong glasses to read it.
It can make a huge difference if it is gen2 or gen3.
1. You can remove the drive.. the TC then becomes an airport extreme. But the power supply might be dead.. particularly if it is gen2.
2. You do not use cross-over cables anymore.. and haven't for several years. All networking is now auto sensing. And yes, if the disk still works then plug in TC to the computer by standard ethernet patch cable direct to the computer. You might need to factory reset to get it going.
3. USB is only for disk and printer connection to the TC. You cannot link to TC via USB.
4. The file system of the TC is standard Mac HFS+.. but the sparsebundle is not directly readable.. you need to use TM to get the files out of it.. that is possible even with hard disk out of the TC.. if the disk still works. See Pondini http://pondini.org/TM/FAQ.html Q14-17 on how to get info out of the TM sparsebundle and Q18 on how to move the files.
5. Yes, we covered that one.
Basically you have to pull off the rubber peice on the bottom- its a pain- you wind up ripping it off.
Heat the rubber mat with a heat gun or even just a hair dryer on highest heat lowest fan setting.. heat for a good 5min and then slowly peel.. the glue will all come up with the mat.. keep heating if it catches. I have never ripped one.. (repaired around 100 of them if I heated the mat).

Recently my iphone 4 has been acting dumb

i'm not sure why it is doing all this things but here is a list of what is recently has been doing:
when i charge it, the screen goes completely black and this little white loading circle is in the middle and it does that for ages and finally loads. (the black screen with the white loading thing happens sometimes even if i'm not charging it and it lasts for about 20 minutes)
it made all my pictures and videos and albums that were in my gallery disappear but they're slowly coming back (it says restoring 24 of 1,084 with a loading thing) it has done this about 3 times now
it deletes all my saved messages and it has never brung them back
sometimes when i try to open apps it closes them in approximately 2 seconds
sometimes when i'm using an app it will exit it out in the middle of whatever i'm using
i only have 4 apps downloaded and it says i've ran out of storage completely which means i can't use my camera, download more apps, or update anything
when i listent to my music it will suddenly stop and i'll have to go back to it and make it play again
basically those are all of the things my iphone 4 has been doing and i've dropped it a few times but i've never dropped it really badly to where it's cracked, my phone actually doesn't even have one scratch on it so i don't understand why these things are happening and i've had it for about 9 months so if there's anything you can do to help me fix it that would be really appreciated. also, i have not done the software update ios 6 because appearently i don't have enough storage to do that either.

If you are using the iphone as it is designed you won't.
You should be importing all pics/vids taken with your iphone to your computer regularly as you would with nany digital camera.
Restart loses nothing, nor does reset.
Restore does erase, but you should always make sure that pics/vids are imported, contacts and calendars are synced, music is transferred to your computer.

Problem with mvt. 544 O

We have a subcontracting model for purchase our FERT goods. The reception process is make trough tx. MIGO, generate a material document with a movement type 101 for FERT and 543 O for the component. The BOM structure for 1 PC are:
12 PC component B
12 PC component C
14 PC component D
The problem happens when we need to return goods to vendor. The steps that we make are:
1.- TX. Migo, option Return Delivery.
2.- Minimize the BOM explosion.
3.- Type a quantity to return and hit Enter.
4.- Open the BOM explosion. Here we found a inconsistence in the qty for each component, because appear with a smaller quantity that BOM. Today the problem with our subcontracting stock is very high.

Are creating subcontracting BOM ? if yes then are you tracking changes to these BOM?
when you change the quantity to be returned and hit enter system should proportinally change the Qty of child parts

Non-domain computer request certificate

We have Enterprise CA with Certificate Enrollment Policy Web Service and Certificate Enrollment Web Service on same domain computer.
When I configure Enrollment policy on non-domain computers by adding exist Certificate Enrollment Policy Server:
mmc->Certificates(local computer)->Personal-Manage Enrollment Policy, all looks fine. But when I do request
New Certificate -> Select Certificate Enrollment Policy appears window with empty list and message:
Certificate types are not available.You cannot request a certificate at this time because no certificate types are available. From domain computers all works fine, I can choose templates from the list and can do command:

from non-domain computers I can't do certutil -ping:

Lost Old Laptop - how to move to 64 bit

I had a hard drive failure on my old laptop (Windows XP) now have a new laptop with Windows 7 that I'm trying to use to load iTunes and sync. It keeps telling me to load the 64-bit version but I think I did (clicked on 64 bit installer). Is there any trick?

It is confusing, but by default RPM does not display the package architecture. On a 64-bit host, usually both 64-bit (*x86_64*) and 32-bit (*i386*) packages get installed. Do this:
$ rpm -qa --qf='%{NAME}-%{VERSION}-%{RELEASE}.%{ARCH}\n' | sortto see exactly what package versions you have installed.
Be aware also that i386 sometimes refers to the platform architecture (versus, for example, ia64 or ppc) but i386 and x64_64 refer to architecture variants. So the context where these names appear matters very much.
Even more fun is to boot a 32-bit kernel on a 64-bit machine. It works great, but just try understanding which meaning i386 has in that context :)
