Because I have deleted photos, Iphoto gives error that it cannot find the photos
Because I have deleted photos in my albums, Iphoto gives an error for each file saying it cannot find the file. Is there a way to stop it from looking for deleted pics?
Are you running a "referenced" library?
If you are did you delete the source photo via the Finder and not from in iPhoto? It sounds as if you did. If that's the case then drag the thumbnail to the Apple Trash Bin and empty it. That will stop the error message.
If you're running a managed library and deleted the original file via the Finder that's the reason. The same fix applies.
WARNING: Never delete a photo that's in the iPhoto library via the Finder. That damages/corrupts the library as you've experienced.

I downloaded 200 photos, an event folder was created, I could see all the photos and was in the process of editing them when I got a message that iPhoto unexpectedly quit. I cannot find the photos anywhere on my computer now. Is there anything to do?
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

I have been working to get Coldfusion 8 and Crystal Enterprise 10 to work together. The following were two approaches I knew of to try:
1) using Crystal "unmanaged URL reporting":

I got the CFREPORT tag to work but was disappointed to find that it only rendered the report in HTML. The reports we have been producing with our current configuration of CF4.5 & CR 8.5 can be saved as PDF's. So I abandoned the Coldfusion <cfreport> tag to see if I could get the Crystal "unmanaged URL reporting" to work. This included me trying to find any documentation anywhere to guide me along with going into Crystal Admin and 'experimenting' to see if there was anything I needed to do there to make the unmanaged URL reporting work.
Management is now telling me that producing the report in HTML is acceptable. I am now trying to set up a demo for management. When I went back into my CF code and uncommented the work I had done with the CFREPORT tag (which had been working at the time I commented it out), I receive the following error code.
CrystalReport Integration Exception.
Error code: 2147778144 Cannot find the QE property.
Error source: Crystal Reports ActiveX Designer
I have tried searching the SAP site to find more information on this error message to no avail. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:

Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over. -

Help! I cannot seem to find the solution for the error message I get when trying to generate a layout in Microsoft HTMl Help (Primary Layout). I am using the trial version, but it didn't seem to be an issue for anyone else in my class that was also using the trial version.

Thank you!Sounds like a problem with the installation of RoboHelp on those machines. When you install RoboHelp, it installs the necessary files to view a CHM.

Hello I have lost my serial number for adobe photoshop elements 13. Bought from John Lewis last month. I did have it installed but had to uninstall but cannot find the any of the packaging etc plus did not register. What is the best way of getting it installed again/replacement? Thanks
Do you have the receipt? If you have proof of ownership, you _may_ be able to persuade Customer Support to help you out. I imagine you would need to scan and email that proof if it works at all.

place the device in recovery mode and restore it to erase the device:
Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to shut down.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then restore the device.

I am using Icloud and previous mobile me. Now I cannot respond to meeting invitations coming in to my email. I get an error saying (when clicking accept) "Icloud cannot find the page". I have also problems with making meeting invitations in my calender when adding attendees and sending to their email. They never get the invitation. Any ideas?

After upgrading to MAC OS X 10.10.2 Lightroom 5 cannot read the card (RAW files , converting to DNG) when importing. The card is fine as I can import into iPhoto - any ideas?
It’s usually necessary to trash the prefs after updating OSX to Yosemite. Start by quitting Lightroom 5.
Launch Finder and click the Go menu whilst holding down the Option (alt) key. Then go to:
Library >> Preferences
clear everything relating to LR5 which usually means deleting the following files:
com.adobe.Lightroom5.plist
com.adobe.Lightroom5LSSharedFileList.plist
Then re-launch Lightroom. -
Adobe reader XI gives error "mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request".
I keep receiving warnings that I need to update Adobe Reader. I currently have the latest version of Adobe Reaxer X (10.1.7). When I click on "Check for Updates" I am told no updates are available.
I have tried installing Adobe Reader XI but, when I launch it, I receive an error message stating that "mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request".

Already I have changed the settings to no proxy, but it doesn't work. Each time I want to open internet again I get the same report and I have to change the setting to no proxy again! Also I noticed that FF has changed the proxy adjustment himself to 'manual proxy configuration' where it has introduced HTTP-proxy 127.0.0.1 and port 63030 himself! How can I change this for good?! So that I don't have to change the setting each time I want to open internet.

I have just installed v6.3 for Windows and am trying to run a hyperbuild simulation of a legacy (v6.2 UNIX) model. I suspect that I don't have everything configured right (path to C compiler???) I get the error message "can't find 'nmake'" during simulation.
Help!Sorry I wasn't being very clear either. I was assuming that you were trying to follow option 2 from Joe D's post on 3-24-2004. Once you know what environment variables have changed you can go the control panel to set them. Some of them will may be new variables that you will need to define. Others may already exists in which case you want to append to them.
The other option is as Joe D said, which is to run VCVARS32.bat before you start Xmath. You could even make a batch file such that instead of starting xmath.bat directly you call your own batch file (.bat). This batch file would have two lines. One to run VCVARS32.bat and the second to run XMATH.bat. If you are not familiar with batch files there are a lot of resources on the web about them. In this case all you would need is:
<path to vcvars32.bat>\vcvars32.bat
"C:\Program Files\National Instruments\MATRIXx\bin\xmath.bat" -v 71.6
The -v 71.6 is optional. it specifies to specifically open version 7.1.6. If you leave it off the newest version will be opened.

When trying to log into my MSN Hotmail account (@msn.com), after I enter my credentials, Firefox gives me an error message that "Firefox can't find the server at blu152.mail.live.com". The below screen shot displays the issue I'm having. I'm attempting to put together an automated batch to add a specific swatch to files. I'm getting an error "Cannot find swatch" when we attempt to do this. The swatch already exists on the computer and is saved to the library. I'm using Illustrator CS5.1
My google-fu is failing me, does anyone have any suggestions? It would me much appreciated.Check and make sure the swatch is in the swatches panel and the name is exactly the same and what the action is looking for.
