Becomes really slow, almost freezes when i text a certain person!

Hello everyone
I just joined. I've had my blackberry 8330 for about 5 months now and there has only been one small, but very annoying problem with it.
Whenever I text this one person (who also has verizon), or receive a text from them, my blackberry takes almost 3 minutes to "send" the message to them. The message gets sent but my screen stays stuck on the reply message screen. eventually it goes back to the main desktop, but by the time it does that, i have alreadhy received the person's text and the whole slow process starts again!
if this makes sense to anyone, pleaseeeeeee help me
thank you!!!

I had this exact problem on my phone except it only happened when i would receive a message from this particular person or reply to a message from this person. What I did to fix the problem is go to my address book, select the person, then click SMS this person. For some reason, sending the person a message by going through the address book instead of replying to a previous message fixed the problem completely for me. It still messes up once a month or so but is immediately resolved by this method every time. Let me know if this fixes the problem.

When loading a page with many hires images, Firefox becomes really slow and scrolling becomes jumpy then eventually becomes completely unresponsive. Unusual high memory usage of up to 2gigs just for firefox when loading these pages. This was never a problem with v3.6.

I encountered the same type of problem. Firefox running terribly slowly and slowing down my entire machine (Core i5 with 256GB SSD). Searching the forums, I found a couple of things about troubleshooting performance issues, one of which was to use '''hardware acceleration''', that is on by default. It was turned on on my PC, '''so I tried deactivating it, and it worked!'''
So doing the exact opposite as Mozilla support said solved the problem. It is really a pain now to work with Firefox. I'm using it because I have no choice, but I'd recommend IE and Chrome over Firefox... Whatever, the market will decide once Firefox has become to crappy...

  • Whenever I turn off my Mac Pro, everything becomes really slow for hours. Help!

Whenever I turn off my Macbook Pro (mid 2012), everything becomes really slow, and it takes minutes to open a file. This happened a week ago when it told me to install osX again. But at that time, I repaired my mac, and it got to normal in a day, but this time its not. Help?

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
              View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen. Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then take one of the actions that you're having trouble with. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.

  • Ios 4.3.5 update.Wifi has become really slow on iphone 4

    Hi,
After updating to ios 4.3.5 the Wifi has become really slow...the same connection works like ligtning on my computer but it has started taking **** of time in iphone 4.
I haven't jailbroken ,neither I have unlocked my phone.
    please help.
    Thanks
    Rahul

My phone's wifi has become pretty much unusable since I upgraded to 4.3.5 two days ago. The connection is intermittent and in addtion it will not reconnect once it has disconnected, I have to reboot the phone before it will reconnect to the wifi and that only works sometimes. Everything worked fine till I upgraded to 4.3.5.
I rely on wifi at the office for business purposes to save on carrier usage costs.
Thank you Apple for screwing it up again and letting me fit the bill for the carrier data overages I will be incurring till you fix this mess. I wish I had not bought this piece of junk. I am really angry and frustrated and I am sure I am not the only one. I was looking at iPads for my field service techs, definetly I will NOT be considering this any longer. I will nevery buy another Apple product ever again.
My reaction is not based only on this single incident. I had issues with wifi and blutooth in some previous versions of the iPhone software. I never had such problems with my Blackberry Bold 9000, the wifi and blutooth were rock solid. Seems Apple just cannot get it right.

so i turn my mac into OS system again
    then my mac runs normal
but the whole things turned into a tragedy angain after i pressed "shift"
mac become really slow ,and makes out big noise!!!  I couldn't bear it , it's now the worst machine i have
is anyone figure out the real problem with my mac?
does it still a hardware mistake with my "shift key"  ?  i would be really appreciate if u can solve my problem!!

You should update to the latest version of Snow Leopard (it is now at version 10.6.8) and see if this helps. This will also install a number of security updates to help protect you from potential viruses.
The few other things I can suggest to try are:
    1) checking the hard disk by running "Verify Disk" in the Disk Utility program (see the Apple KB article at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1782 for instructions)
    2) check and repair file access privileges (see Apple kb article http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1452)
    3) make sure the Startup Disk System Preference shows the Macbook Air's hard disk is selected.
Sorry I have no experience with Chinese input on the mac, however I did find this website http://www.yale.edu/chinesemac that may further help. Good luck!

  • Why is it YouTube loads really slow sometimes even when I'm connected to wifi ?

Why is it YouTube loads really slow sometimes even when I'm connected to wifi ?

Hard to say. The speed of your Internet connection. Congestion on YouTube's servers, problems at any point in between you and them... When you are connected to WiFi, you will get a substantially higher resolution version of some videos than you do on 3G.
Are you using the youtube app or are you just accessing it via a web browser.

  • TS2755 I have 2 phones on my apple id acct. And when I text message that person I am getting a duplicate message to myself. How do I stop this from happening

I have 2 phones attached to my apple ID account and when I text message that person, I am getting a duplicate message sent back to me.  How do I stop this from happening?

Make 3 different iCloud accounts and use ONLY for iMessage.   That will permanently fix your issue.

  • White Macbook Becoming Really Slow

Hi guys, I a have a late 2006 white macbook running on leopard (32GB free space) with the following specs:
    Model Identifier: MacBook2,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
    Processor Speed: 2 GHz
    Number Of Processors: 1
    Total Number Of Cores: 2
    L2 Cache: 4 MB
    Memory: 1 GB
my problem is that off late my macbook has become extremely slow and I keep experiencing the beachball syndrome!
This is also experienced when I am just browsing on safari and have an app like Word opened. Safari crashes more than once a day and the entire system seems to freeze up when I am running even basic apps like firefox, word, itunes, preview etc
I can understand a lag if I am running Photoshop but this is becoming quite bugging. I still have a year of warranty left btw.
What I was wondering shall I upgrade to Snow Leopard since its not very expensive? I dont want to upgrade my RAM, as by next year I will get the Pro. Also if I upgrade my OS, how will I install the back up data again? And will that affect the problem?
    Will a clean reinstall help?
    Any help would be appreciated.
Btw I keep running Onyx regularly and fix the permissons etc after every 10 days.

If your machine is slow right now, you need to figure out why--upgrading to Snow Leopard could make the machine even slower. Overall, Snow Leopard improves performance for machines, but if the machine has issues already, you may not see the improvements.
    Here's some things to try:
In Applications>Utilities, open *Disk Utility*. In the left-hand column, click *Macintosh HD*, then click the *Verify Disk* button. Report any errors here.
You also want to reseat your RAM and see if that helps; instructions here:

  • Time machine has become really slow lately

    Hi people!
My time machine has always worked fine since I moved it to using a regular external disk rather than my previous home-hacked NAS disk arrangement that always ended up in trouble. Lately however it's been starting to be really slow. Before a backup was started, performed and finished pretty quickly but now it's a darn drag waiting for it to finish. It also seems to do backup thinning of quite recent backups without the disk being anywhere near to full, please see the log quoted for further information. What can I do, apart from starting fresch again which I do not want to do. After all, what is the point with a system like time machine if you have to start fresch every now and then.
Especially note the long times taken to copy relatively small amounts of data and the long time required to thin out the backups, this hasn't taken as long before.
EDIT: I just remembered that TM thins out backups in the past according to the lastest 24 hours, past week and so on, so the actual selection for thinning may be fine, but it's still really slow!

If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left.
Enter the word "Starting" (without the quotes) in the String Matching text field. You should now see log messages with the words "Starting * backup," where * represents any of the words "automatic," "manual," or "standard." Note the timestamp of the last such message. Clear the text field and scroll back in the log to that time. Post the messages timestamped from then until the end of the backup, or the end of the log if that's not clear.
Post the log text, please, not a screenshot. If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don't post many repetitions of the same message.
When posting a log extract, be selective. Don't post more than is requested.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into a message.
Some personal information, such as the names of your files, may be included — edit that out, too, but don’t remove the context.

I ca not install  Itunes 10.5 on vista or windows 7 my iPhone 4 is much slower and freezes and also certain apps and also certain features will not work on the phone now that I cannot update it to ios5. When I go to the store they turn me away with my laptops and tell me to buy there computer that's the only answer. I know there has to be away around it? I am also up for a new upgrade on my second phone line and was going to get a 4s but now I am thinking it may be the wrong choice I am very unhappy with Apple right now...

WOW! That font is difficult to read. But, see if this support document helps you http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3989. Photos stream is based on date and photos more than 30 days old are removed. Photostream is designed as a temporary storage to allow you to download the photos to the computer.

  • Program freezes when adding text to clip

    Hi,
I have sent a 40 minute slideshow to PE7. I am splitting the slide show at various points and inserting short video clips. After having added text to both photos and video two or three times, I now find that the program freezes when I either try to add further text or even if I try to edit previously inserted text.
Has anyone a solution to this please?
    Thanks
    Jim
P.S. the reason I am adding video to the slide show and not the other way around is that I like the pan and zoom facility of the slide show which is not available as a transition in PE7.
Apparently I cannot add video clips to slide shows in PSE 7 - or at least not more than 5 seconds of video at a time.

    Hi, Thanks for you reply.
The photos are between 1 to 3 MB each if thats any help, My Sony Handycam was set to 16:9 format but I can't select this in Project preferences which seems fixed at 4:3. The point is that I have used photos of this size in a project containing both photos and video previously without problems. I have not tried to splice video footage into an imported slide show before.
    I will investigate further later.
    Thanks again
    Jim

  • My MacBook has recently become really slow and im not sure how to fix it.

Over the past few weeks my macbook has become extremely slow, would anybody have any ideas of how to fix it?

One possibility is that your hard drive has become full to the point that it is hindering the speed of your MacBook. Many experts believe that your hard drive should have about 15% of its space free.
You can check your hard drive's free space by selecting it on the desktop and then typing command + i (or going to the File menu and selecting Get Info.) In the information that appears look for the capacity and available space.
If it turns out that disk space is part of your issue, you may want to see about reducing the amount of disk space in use on the hard drive. Let us know, there are a number of things you can do for this.
    Best of luck.

  • Safari slow and freezes when loading pages

Hi I've been having a problem with Safari for the past few months it frequently freezes when loading web pages, sometimes it will eventually load, other times it wont. the blue progress bar in the address bar stops on about 10% with a plain white page it doesn't happen all the time but disturbingly it happens on pages as simple as Google search, not just data heavy sites. other symptoms include having to click links several times to get them to respond and I get the you are not connected to the Internet page when I go to some sites only to try another page from my bookmarks and it will load perfectly.
Any help greatly appreciated its driving me nuts.

I only posted the other post because I hadnt anticipated getting such a quick responce from you , Im on a tight deadline for work and I needed to get this problem sorted a.s.a.p, I didnt think that anybody else would hop onto this discussion Anyway heres the output I get

  • Photoshop cc freezes when I open a certain psd file

I am on Mac OS X 10.9 and working in CC
While i was rescaling a vector layer in a psd doc in which I have been working all day, PS CC suddenly froze. And now PS freezes when reopening that doc. PS opens the doc but freezes before loading the layers
I can open and work in other PS doc.
    Regards/Trine

Sounds like a corrupt file. Might try opening in a previous version of PS. As a last resort, if a flattened version of your file would be helpful to you, try opening a composite version of the file - hold down (on Mac) Shift + Option + Cmd and drag the file onto the PS icon in your dock. Click OK when the composite data dialog comes up.
