What is the value of "BNE UIX Physical Directory" profile option?
Verify the value of the profile options outlined in this document and check then (remember to bounce the application services).

Regd: BEE Spreadsheet Interface for Excel 2007

Hi All,
After accesing the BEE Spreadsheet Interface function it prompts me to download file. After allowing the download file.. it opens up an excel sheet prompting for WEB_ADI[1].xls to be downloaded on the system.
the it says Processing: Create Document. Your document is being created. Do not close this window until processing completes.
The excel sheets gets struck at this point. it does not download the file..
I have also changed the Excel 2007 Trust center options and enabled Trust access to VBA objects and Enable all macros.
My profile options are set as
BNE UIX Base Path : /OA_HTML/cabo/
BNE UIX Physical Directory : /u02/oratrng/trnmlgappl/html/cabo/
Can someone guide if i am still missing any setups or options..................

OK fine the sheet got dowloaded now.. But after that i am facing a new problem ..after i enter the details in Excel and try ot upload thm it gives me error : Connection to the server is unavialable. This is a common error, so please check the BNE.log file for details about the error.

Getting error message when downloading BEE Spreadsheet on 11.5.10.2

Hi,
When I attempt to download a BEE spreadsheet I receive the following error message:
oracle.apps.bne.exception.BneInvalidException: The key flexfield identified by Application ID: 801, flexfield number: 50417 and flexfield code: COST is not defined in Oracle Applications.
Note, in the past I was able to successfully use the BEE spreadsheet functionality without any problems.
Any ideas?

Make sure you have atleast one segment defined for your Cost Allocation KFF and the segment has a ValueSet defined.

ABAP OO Spreadsheet Interface: is the cell merge possibe?

Hi all,
   We would like to use Spreadsheet Interface to create a new sheet of workbook in Excel Application and then insert all data into this sheet.
   But we meet a problem when merging some cells in this sheet. We have tried to find all methods of i_oi_spreadsheet. And no one is useful.
   So, our question: is it possible to use methods of i_oi_spreadsheet in order to merge some cells of sheet in Spreadsheet Interface?

Hi Vinh,
as far as I know you can not merge cells in Excel before Office 2007. The DOI interface is based on older versions. You could run a macro:
CALL METHOD document->execute_macro

BEE Batch Interface

Hello All,
First time poster (So go easy on me lol)
We have recently upgarded from 11i to R12.
When in 11i I created my own version of the BEE spreadsheet - Basically made a copy of the Oracle standard and took off all the field we do not use. Everything worked fine.
Since the move to R12 the BEE spreadsheet when it creates the document, it always picks up the Oracle standard rather than the copied personilised one I created in 11i.
Can anyone advise me how to make Oracle BEE pick up my template rather than the Oracle standard?

Yes sorry that is still the case. You can edit the standard Oracle webpage Or you have the ability to create a copy then make your own.
We have alway tried not to personilise any of the standard Oracle ADIs.
The issue I am having is, when I create my own copy and personilise it to what I want, I cant then make the intergrator pick it up.

BEE Spreadsheet error

On create or update Batch lines self service page
Please select the element for which you wish to create or update the batch lines.
When i am trying to select the element and click go for the system to proceed it throws me the following error:
801:PAY_BATCH_LINES_CRT is an invalid Layout Key for the specified Integrator
Please can some one advise how i can resolve this issue?

Please check if you have all data related to the BEE process in these tables from back end. You need to change the integrator code
value to '%BEE%'. I am not sure what will be the name because I don't have system to access it. If you have all the data definitions available
for 'BEE' and 'HRMS Workbench' properly installed then you might need to log a TAR through Metalink. If something is missing then you
don't have some patches that are needed for BEE. Hope this helps you.

An trying Office 365, Google Docs and OpenOffice for software & iCloud, Google Drive, OneDrive, DropBox and WD MyCloud for storage. So far cannot find needed functionality.

What functionality do you need specifically? No point in suggesting other things, if we don't know why the ones listed do not work for you.

BEE Transfer - pay_batch_lines to per_absence_attendances

Does anybody know the list of tables involved when doing a transfer of entries through BEE transfer from pay_batch_lines to per_absence_attendances table? I know batch_id is one link but not really sure how these two tables are linked. BEE Batch Process is a spawn program and we are not able to debug the code. Can you please help?

Regarding your questions
1) Are creating batches using the BEE Spreadsheet Interface or have you build a custom load to create the batch and lines?
We have a custom interface built to create the batch and lines. The third party application is KRONOS, time and leave entries come from KRONOS, which are then interfaced to Oracle through a custom interface
2) Do you have the 3rd party interface data loaded into an Oracle table? If not, can you have?
Yes we are having the KRONOS-Oracle interface with which we load values into Staging table and from there to PAY_BATCH_HEADER & PAY_BATCH_LINES.
One more query, when I do the BEE transfer for absence or leave entries, I could see the values going into PAY_ELEMENT_ENTRIES_F and then to PER_ABSENCE_ATTENDANCES as well? Am able to see values populated against 'REASON' in PAY_ELEMENT_ENTRIES_F table but not in PER_ABSENCE_ATTENDANCES, which is what we are trying to achieve through customization.

Actually when i try to upload batch after adding employees the file is not uploaded . How do you upload the batch? Please mention the navigation path along with the steps you follow.
Sometimes file is not downloaded or it is not opened in excel.
Various errors appear during this process. like ORA-20001, Assignment id in not correct format etc.Please post the exact error message.
Please can you also give me any document reference which gives details about Excel settings for using BBA and BEE spreadsheet interface along with any application settings that should be donePlease provide more details so we can suggest.

We recently move from Office 2003 to 2010 and we have webADI, However we are receiving an error runtime error 1004 Method 'VBProject' of Object_workbook failed.

Invalid Layout Key for the specified Integrator

I have created a new Integrator, designed the layout and created a form function. Whe I click on the form function from the responsibility, I am getting the below error.
20009: <layout key> is invalid Layout Key for the specified Integrator
Please help me resolving this error.

Batch Element Entry Spreedsheet Interface Error

hello gurus
I am using EBS R 12.1.3 I do create the document using Batch Element Entry Spreed sheet Interface and in Excel 2007 a "Download" Window appears and processing is pending while on the EBS R12 session browser window shows the following error.
Error:
"Your document could not be created."
"Please contact your support representative."
NB: I have enabled the macros setting on the excel options.
Please help me.

Well it sure is 1 of the following three:
1) Make sure the you have .NET library installed. This is for VBA (Visual basic for application) that is the code inside the Excel template which does all the Oracle validations and uploading to server. This is a Microsoft product.
2) If the above is properly set, then you should be able to get the BEE Spreadsheet. If that part works fine and you get the blue nice excel sheet then you're set to go. Assuming that Excel security for Macros is disabled and VBA tick box is checked.
3) If you get the excel sheet but cannot upload or interact with the sheet then most probably it is the Profile options for the temp locations. Usually you get an error to contact system administrator. I do not really recall the error description...and frankly to lazy to check on Oracle Support :)
These are the basics you need.
I do not think that ram is the issue here, I have tried this on a 2MB laptop and it is fine. Unless you have the instance as a Virtual Machine on your laptop, there I cannot really help.

Possible to simulate a spreadsheet for input, with static values per row

Haven't seen this done but thought I'd ask, is it possible to simulate a spreadsheet interface in Apex? Basically, I have 9 columns each of which needs to be filled out for 10 time periods per day (row), and it's easiest for the user to tab across the columns then down to a new row / next timeslot, to fill out the whole day's worth of data, rather than entering hour by hour & then changing the timeslot manually. This would require that the value for column 1 of row 1 = 8, column 1 of row 2 = 9, column 1 of row 3 = 10 and so on. So, a tabular form but with static values on each row.
Is this possible & if so, any pointers to what to start researching to make this work would be greatly appreciated. I know they can work in a spreadsheet & upoad it and we may go that way but this seemed like an interesting problem to see if Apex could handle it; I just am uncertain where to start on it is all.

Tabular report, with some modifications to have rows added at start of usage. User would on occasion need to click a control to add rows..
