Beehive Conference Recording - Intercall

I would like to use Beehive to record conferences I have with my team. We normally dial into Intercall for all our meetings. The current stconference.oracle.com allows one to configure the voice recording using the Intercall Conference ID so that it actually logs into the conference and records the audio that way.
Is there similar support in Beehive Conference Recordings? If so, how do I go about doing this? I couldn't quite figure out how to do this.

The currently deployed version of Beehive Conference does not support integration with Intercall, however this feature is available in a forthcoming version which should rolled out within the organisation this year.

Looks like I found the probable location of this size limit. Looking at the web.config file in the
ExchServer\ClientAccess\Sync folder there is an entry for "MaxDocumentDataSize". THe value is currently set at 10240000:
<add key="MaxDocumentDataSize" vaulue ="10240000">
So this is 9.75 MB or there about, which sounds about right. I will try increasing this limit at some point to verify.
Can anyone confirm this?

Beehive conference Microphone problem

When I start voice confrence in beehive conference progrm, my microphone is disabled.
But my microphone is work correctly in other programs.
How can I fix it?

for Instant Messaging, I believe you need to review Chapter 25 (Configuring XMPP) of the Installation Guide.
At least you need to do a
beectl modify_property --component _XmppService name DomainNames value <domain>

For any user partaking in IM, you need to define an IM Address, as this is needed to provision the user to the XMPP Service.
If you master your user in an external directory, you can map existing mail addresses to also be used as IM Address, e.g.

DISASTER: iSight / iChat AV / conference recorder

Hello all,
I am having a little crisis at the moment. I really need to record a video chat through iChat AV, and read about the shareware app Conference Recorder so I downloaded the demo to give it a try. Unfortunately, something went awry, and now I am unable to have any sort of video chats. I continually get the 'camera in use by another application' error message, and while I know there are some threads on here about that, I have tried everything mentioned, and to no avail. Also, this problem started right after I installed Conference Recorder, so I think it must have something to do with it.
Right after I installed the software, I did a test recording of a video chat. I noticed a problem immediately because it recorded video, but there was no audio present (neither in the recording, or the actual chat itself). Right after that, chats stopped working altogether and I started getting the error message. I uninstalled the program (Conference Recorder), tried restarting, unplugging everything, replugging, resetting PRAM, etc, but all to no avail. Now I am even unable to receive one-way video chats from others.
I think my Quicktime is as updated as can be. I'm on a G4 Powerbook, and everything on it seems to be updated.
I'm getting really desperate because I need to sort this out for a project ASAP. I would appreciate any help anyone might be able to offer.

From your posts you seem an experienced Mac user, so you may have already considered these two possibilities:
(3) Is your OS X Maintenance up to date, and do you keep enough free space on your startup disk? (See OS X Maintenance for more info.) Trying to add software when a disk is too full can cause problems.
(4) If maintenance does not help, repair permissions, then download and apply Mac OS X 10.4.8 Combo Update (PPC). Repair permissions again after your system restarts, and then check to see whether your iSight will work with iChat.
Using the appropriate Combo Updater (there are different Combos for iNtel and PowerPC Macs) to update to the most current version of Mac OS X often seems to correct problems that may persist after updating via OS X via the "Software Update..." feature.

How Do I Find Where My Beehive Conference Is?

Hello,
I am using Beehive Conferencing, version 2.0.1.7.0, I just recorded my first conference with a customer.
But now, I cannot locate where that conference is stored.
I have checked under C:\Documents and Settings\auahmed2\Application Date\Oracle\Beehive, there are no asp files here.
I use MS Outlook, it is installed with Outlook Extensions for Beehive.
I looked under the folder Documents, and there are no files here either.
Your help is appreciated.

Hi Aness,
The default location is "Your Personal Workspace > Documents". This will be shown in the "Recording Location" when you start the recording and users can change the location. If you cannot find it in "Documents", then you might have chosen another location. Try recording another conf and check the "Recording Location"

How to reduce background noise of a conference recording..

I've made a recording on a digital camera in a conference. There's background noise, hissing and people coughing, cutlery noise etc that i'd like to minimize so that the speaker's voice comes clearer.
Anyone with good references or tips for that?

if the sounds are during the speech, there is no really perfect solution. you might try using the graphic EQ to lower some of the higher frequencies (cutlery and hiss) and boost some of the lower-mid tones (where speech is). also the Gate can be used to silence low bg noise in the silent passages.

Automatically invite an UCMA to every conference / record every conference

I need some ideas and directions ,
I wanna record every conference and do more stuff , therefore my question ,
@ can MSPL detect INVITE conference call ? can it send an invitaion for an UCMA? or manipulate headers to do it ?

@ is it a MUST to create a MSPL to redirect every invnite/response to a Managed SIP Application to accomplish what I need?

I had someone else help me with this applescript. Any way I have now figured out a work-around to making a log of all the definition entries in a text doc.
If anyone else is interested in this, here it is:

Beehive recording plays with no sound even after downloading codec

Hello - We recorded a session using beehive conference. This generated a .asf and .txt files.
On windows 7, this refuses to play because of missing codec. We downloaded and installed codec as pointed out here https://forums.oracle.com/thread/2422267
Now the .asf file opens and video is shown but there is no audio
Note:- We also had a intercall going on for audio conference.
Is there anything missing? Please help.

Location of recorded web conference

I recorded an online beehive conference but can't find the location of the recorded file? Could you please advise where I might be able to locate this?

Hi,
By default it should have been placed in your personal Workspace - you will have to use something like the webDAV client or a webDAV client like the Desktop Integration Server to access the area as the teamcollab client does not shiow this space - the way to set up the webDAV access is described in the FAQ section of the http://beehiveonline.oracle.com page.

Inviting guest user to the Beehive 1.5.1.0.0 web Conference

Gurus,
I want to invite the customer to the web conference as a guest, guest should be able to login to the conference with out giving username and password.
How to configure this option in Beehive 1.5.1.0.0.

If you schedule a conference through Outlook, you can simply enable the calendar invite with a Beehive webconference. Then all invitees get the webconf details. If there are non-Beehive users, they will get an email with the information, a link to join the conference as non-Beehive user.
If you start a conference on the fly, then in the Beehive conference, there is an option to copy the url of the meeting. This url then can be shared (e.g. using chat) with the non-Beehive user.
If the meeting is password protected, then the password is part of the url. A username is not applicable for an external user, but they have to specify a name which will be used as display name in the conference.

3rd-party software to record iChat video?

There used to be Conference Recorder by iCamm, but it doesn't support OS X 10.6. I'm looking for some software that enables me to record iChat video, but not necessarily while I'm chatting with someone -- I used to use Conference Recorder to record a video diary for my own purposes.
If I’m using iChat and not chatting with anybody the “record video” option is not enabled. Ther has GOT to be some third-party software out there that does the same job as Conference Recorder did. And I’m not talking that ripoff, SnapzPro — who has $69 to spend on shareware? Apple sells an entire OS for less than $30.
Besides, I don’t want a screen recorder — I would like one specifically for iChat. Any suggestions? It’s hard to believe there isn’t something out there that does what I’m describing for a resonable price.

Record chat option grayed out

Im running iChat 4 (601) and the record chat option is grayed out in the video drop down menu.
I saw some one else had this problem but theirs was solved when they did the QT update.
I did the update... Still no change
anyone have any ideas?

In order to initiate a recording, your chat partner must also be running Leopard's iChat 4. Could this be the problem?
To record otherwise, you will need a 3rd-party tool such as Conference Recorder.

Software for recording video with built in i-sight for new macbooks mbp?

Does any software exist that will allow a macbook or a macbook pro user to record video with their built in isight camera at the top of the screen? If so, let me know. I need to document countless hours of reading the forums...

iMovie will allow you to record from your built in iSight as well.

Record Chat

Does anyone have an idea why I can not use the record chat function of iChat. Does the other user have to be using iChat? My kids use a PC at home with AIM. I use iChat and talk and see them fine. I can do every other function, but the Record Function is dim and can not be selected. Thanks.

In order to use the built-in recording function, the other person does indeed need to be using Leopard iChat. Fortunately, you can still record anyone using 3rd party software such as iChat Conference Recorder.
