Beekeeper display issues in recent firefox versions

We noticed that recent versions of Firefox will cause display problems
in beekeeper (like a search field not being displayed).
While user facing clients are still supported with current versions in
Beehive 2.0.1.x, this is a case where Oracle will not provide current
browser version support, due to the version of ADF that Beekeeper uses.
Bug 16820393 (NEED FIREFOX 3 OR HIGHER CERTIFIED WITH ORACLE
BEEKEEPER) has Status "Suggestion Rejected".
As a workaround, we will be using Firefox Portable in a legacy
version, solely for running beekeeper.

I want the old Firefox. This versions sucks if you can't use software such as Identity Safe if you want.

  • When I updated to the recent Firefox version, it removed my second set of storage folders from the left side of the email window. These folders were connected to a second email address forwarded through Firefox. How do I retrieve them?

These files are vital. Are they somehow archived?....I hope. If this cannot be fixed then I want to know how to get bak the other version I had in tact.

Firefox doesn't do email, it's a web browser.
If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.

  • What is most recent Firefox version compatible with Upek fingerprint reader

I use Upek Protector Suite with my Dell Vostro laptop's fingerprint reader. It worked with Firefox v3.5, but seems not to like Firefox v3.6, so I'm really doubtful about upgrading to v4 unless someone points me at the compatible plug-in or extension please. Thanks!

  • I have the most recent firefox version and there is no "live bookmark" anywhere, not in the bookmark folder or toolbar or anywhere on my computer. Where can I find this?

I downloaded the RSS ticker but can't add anything to it because it requires the use of live bookmark, which I simply do not have. I have looked. Is there a way to download it separately? Or can anyone tell me a way I can access it besides just clicking on the bookmarks section of firefox?

Mozilla says you replied but I cannot see your response. They seem too, to be so eager to have be say the problem is resolved when it isn't.

After several years of use very satisfied with Firefox, recently loaded version (4.0.1) severely slows my browsing, and even my system, especially when there are pictures or videos. I said that this was not the case before and my system is Windows XP SP3.

I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6.

  • Display issues in XP with Firefox

I just installed Firefox browser to an old XP machine. I am having display issues: sideways lines and "double vision" even on the home page. I know I have an old video card. That has caused sideways lines in videos before. This is a computer my husband uses and loves! I know its a dinosaur. Besides videos in kids programs, I never have had any display problems just browsing the web. And I can watch YouTube videos just fine in my other browsers.

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.
If there are problems with Flash then you can check for problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions and try this:
*disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)
*disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

  • [Solved] Site display issues in Firefox 11.0-2/KDE 4.8.1

I have been having issues with the form fields of the AUR page. Specifically, with any version of Firefox after v9; the fields are incredibly small. (See http://imgur.com/KEdYk for what it looks like). I have removed gtk-kde4, and even created a vanilla user with a brand-new home directory, and this other user profile experiences the same problem. edit: In a fresh install of GNOME 3, the AUR page displays correctly. Also displays correctly if I revert to FF v9
This problem doesn't occur in Chromium, so I thought it was a FF issue, however, I've not heard of anybody else with this same problem... So I'm a little stumped. I filed a bug report a while back, (https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/28613 ), but it has been closed. Any help in diagnosing and/or fixing this issue would be helpful and appreciated. Thanks!

That is sounding quite strange.  I've had display issues similar to yours with login fields and search fields that are usually at the top of a we page appearing distorted and on top of each other.  Another prevalent problem that I noticed on YouTube was that text I enter into any field doesn't show up, but it is entered and I can search.  I'm running xfce so I don't know what to say.  Haven't had the problem in gnome, though I really don't like gnome 3 for its lack of what of what I considered organizational hierarchy.  (though I am against hierarchies of other sorts),  Ive also found that clearing the Firefox cache can solve some of these problems.

  • I can't uninstall Firefox version 11 from my MAC, nor can I upgrade to a more recent version of Firefox.

I believe that I have a corrupted version of Firefox. I have followed the procedures both for removal and for upgrade that are posted in the support forums, and neither are effective for me.
I do not have a conventional Firefox icon on my screen, rather I have a grey question mark. When I attempt to deposit that question mark icon in my wastebasket, it just bounces back out.
When I have tried to upgrade to a more recent version of Firefox (and I've been trying to upgrade with each new iteration of Firefox from version 12 to the current version 32), I receive an error message that I can run only one version of Firefox, and the upgraded version is rejected in favor of version 11.
Additionally, Firefox version 11 blocks me from adding any other programs onto my Mac. I want to get rid of version 11. How can I do it?

Dear ideato--Thank you for your suggestion. While I was able to drag a shadow of the Firefox icon from the applications folder to the dock and drop it into the wastebasket, the icon remains in the applications folder and Firefox version 11 is still on my computer blocking every attempt to add a program or to upgrade to the current version of Firefox. The question mark is still on the dock, too. Regards--DavidK126

  • After their recent upgrade Facebook no longer works for Firefox version 2.0.0.20, what is the most recent version of Firefox that will function with a Mac G3 running OS 10.3.9?

Facebook (FB) recently restructured their website. After logging on to my FB homepage, some of the graphics are garbled and I am no longer able to post status updates, comment on friend's status updates or pictures, or post pictures using Firefox version 2.0.0.20. I would like to know if there is a newer version of Firefox that will function with a Mac G3 Blue and White desktop running OS 10.3.9 which will be compatible with the new FB? I would upgrade my computer, but have 22+ years of business and tax records that will not function with the newer Mac OS.

  • How do I disable the reload on the back button of Firefox and have it display the cached/prior page version?

Every time I click the "back" button, Firefox reloads the previous page I was on. How do I disable the reload and have Firefox display the cached/prior page version? The whole point of going "back" is to see what we were just looking at.. I don't want a refreshed version of it. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I am running version 3.6.12.

No problem. It's not a request that's been seen much if at all to be honest. I rely on them myself.

  • I get total gibberish on the headers, footers and body of certain sites when printing. In other sites the body comes out OK but the headers and footers never do. Anybody have similar issues? Is it a product of a recent Firefox update? I never had this

After a recent update I've been having problems printing off the web. My headers and footers are always "gibberish" and in some case so is the body of the document. • IE 7 and Firefox 3 display issues - neither work as expected

    hi,
I'm having a terrible time trying to figure out how to solve the 2 display issues I have on IE and Firefox. I can't get either one to work like it's supposed to.
I'm using RH8, Webhelp and it doesn't matter what skin I use (nothing custom, just what is available in RH).
On IE 7.0.5730.13, Webhelp only displays information in the information frame (text) when I attempt to resize the panes. If I just click and move my mouse just a little bit to expand the TOC text magically appears for THAT selected TOC topic only. If I move to another topic in the TOC, I have to do the same thing. And by resize, I mean, I click and move a millimeter and the stuff displays. Otherwise, if I do nothing, the TOC displays as expected but the text frame (contents) is blank.
On Firefox 3.5.6, the TOC pane does not display 100% vertically........it's cut off at the end of the TOC and contains scrollbars to move vertically and horizontally.
So, neither browser really works for me.  Am I the only one?
    I'm using RH 8.0.0.203
Any advice or suggestions are very much welcome.......

    Ahhh, okay.
That actually seems to be providing a bit of a clue to the overall picture I might think. The icon should be kicking off a Dynamic HTML drop-down area.
Since the icon isn't seemingly doing anything in FF, it's logical to me that you somehow have JavaScripting turned off in FF. This can be done using an Add on product, which is why I asked.
It's also likely the reason for the super short TOC display. Typically the TOC depends on JavaScript to work its magick.
My thought here is that if you and Peter can determine where JavaScript is being turned off, you will solve the issues.
    Cheers... Rick

  • I am running with Firefox version 3.5.7. I am trying to update to a more recent version. So far, the update has been running for 4 hours. For most of the time it has been downloading versoin 3.6.18. Why am I hanging trying toi update?

I have an old version of Firefox - Version 3.5.7.
I am trying to update to the current version. As part of the update, the system is first loading all of the intermediate versions.
I started the update 4 hours ago. It is still running. Most of the time, it has been downloading version 3.6.18. I am letting it run.
Is there any other way to get the most recent version?

Thank you. That is basically what I did. I gave up on the update and downloaded a fresh version of Firefox.
