Been a bit stupid and deleted my calendar from ipad which deleted it from my iphone via icloud. Is it gone forever?
Once you delete something and then iCloud takes it off another device is that it gone?
If you also synced to your computer, then try restoring from a backup. Or try restoring from an itunes or icloud backup.

I have always been able to sync my IE bookmarks from my desktop to Safari on my iPhone. Suddenly they are gone from my phone and they won't sync any longer. What am I doing wrong?
I have done this on numerous occasions but I think that my Iphone has a defect. After many tries, reinstalls, deletion of content, changing content to be stored on external hard drive, deleting itunes and cleaning computer I managed to get all of the songs on and things seemed okay for a while.
The problem returned about a week ago after downloading a new album from Itunes. I now have 12.5k of songs leaving 10gb spare on Iphone which should be more than enough room to operate properly. Last night it seemed to be dowloading ok (after doing all of the above again for the umpteenth time) this morning it revealed that it had just synched 2.5k of songs and 18gb of "other" on the contents bar. it wont synch now as it says its over capacity. So the 18gb of "other" would probably be corrupted data that means it must corrupt each song as it tries to synch it.
The 2.5k of songs it did synch are working on the Iphone as is every song in the library on Itunes. I did completely delete the new album I bought and redownloaded it from the store then tried to synch just that album and it worked fine.
Just about time to dump apple I think! -
i am trying to delete a calendar that i do not want on my iPhone. i never subscribed to this mysterious calendar. now it's listed as a Mexican holidays calendar when last week it was a HK holidays calendar. this recently appeared after the last iOS update. the only options to edit this calendar are to uncheck it and/or to change the color. i want it permanently deleted. any ideas?
That file could be set as a Launch Agent or Daemon in your ~/Library or /Library, You could try to look for it or Safeboot your computer and then empty the trash. I have 3 Apple devices - iMac, iPhone, and iPad. I am planning to move to iCloud from MobileMe. In iTunes, I just choose to sync whatever files I want my iPhone and iPad to have since they don't have sufficient disk space as my iMac.
Can I just choose which apps or photos to sync via iCloud since I don't want all of them in my iPhone and iPad? I have all photos & apps in my iMac but only sync manually some of them to my iPad and to my iPhone. Can I still do this with iCloud?
Calendars, emails, contacts, are fine since files are small. What I'm afraid of are the apps and photos.

Thanks.With the exception of photo stream, iCloud doesn't sync your apps or photos between devices. You will continue to sync this content via iTunes in the same way as you do now.
Photo stream allows you to sync your most recent photos between all devices, you have the option to use photostream or not. -
How do I delete photos from ipad that were downloaded from computer during a sync?
Only photos taken with the iPad, copied onto it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites etc can be deleted directly on the iPad - either via the trashcan icon in the top right corner if viewing the photo in full screen, or via the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it in thumbnail view.
Photos that were synced from your computer are deleted by moving/removing/de-selecting them from where they were synced from and then re-syncing. -
lost songs from ipod (which I purshased from Itunes from the IPOD) didn't back up to PC itunes and my wife restaged my sons ipod and the songs gone-Apple itunes gave me a link to relaod however they are showing light grey on the ipod (marked in lt grey)
I have the same problem!! only thing is that i have the ipod touch 5th generation and a mac. I've been trying to find a way to get all my music to play cuz it will only play on itunes but when i try to play it on my ipod it'll just show a circle with a red square in the middle next to the songs i cant play.

I bought an ipad from some one and i can't activate it and it keeps on showing that i should type the apple id and password link to that ipad which i dont know and i can't even locate thi guy. Please help if there is a chance to activate the ipad. Thanks
There is no chance at all that you can activate the iPad without the previous user's Apple ID and password. That is the feature of iOS 7 Activation Lock.
Every time I read one of these post, I can't help but think that the user asking about this (in this case - you) was duped into purchasing a stolen device. If the seller was legit, they would have erased the device completely before they sold it. -
Im trying to find my iPhone via iCloud but i does not show a map with its last know location. It only shows the menu options. My iPad and Mac show up but the map of my iPhone does not. Can anyone help?
If your phone is turned off or not connected to the Internet, you will be unable to locate it. Last known location is only stored for 24 hours.

I input my events on the Calendar on my Mac after I upgraded to Mavericks. Created the iCloud account, followed all the troubleshooting instructions (turning off and on, checking accounts, etc.), but the calendar does not sync/push events to my iPhone 5. The only events that show up are birthdays from Facebook (go figure!). At my wit's end trying to figure out what's wrong because I really need to view my calendar on the phone for work.! Help?
If you calendar is now syncing new events to iCloud, let's rebuild your iCloud calendar. Do the following:
Select each of your calendars on the left sidebar on your Mac and back them up as you did before, by going to File>Export>Export and saving the .ics files to your desktop.
Delete each of your calendars on your Mac by control-clicking on them and selecting Delete. Go to icloud.com and confirm that your calendars are no longer there.
Add a calendar back to your Mac by opening the calendar application and going to File>New Calendar>iCloud and giving it the name of one of your calendars. Repeat for each of the calendars you deleted. When you are done, you should have empty calendars for each of the calendars you delete earlier. Go to icloud.com to confirm these empty calendars appear there too.
In the calendar application on your Mac go to File>Import>Import and navigate to one of the .ics files you saved earlier. When asked where to import it, click the drop-down list and select the empty iCloud version of the calendar you are importing, then Import. Wait until the spinning progress wheel stops at the top of the left sidebar. Repeat this for each of your other calendars.
Check the calendars on your Mac and on icloud.com to confirm that all your calendar events appear now. They should also now appear on your phone. Then add another test event to the calendar on your Mac and confirm that it appears on icloud.com and your iPhone now. If so, everything is now working properly.
