Been trying to access any service iTunes has, but am stopped with, "The Folder Cannot Be Found." Any fixes?
Hello. I've been trying to use any of the functions in iTunes, but to no avail. I seem to be stumped with the window that keeps popping up, telling me, "The Folder Cannot Be Found." Any advice?
Backup catalogs wouldn't have helped with this problem anyway, but naturally, you shouldn't delete backup catalogs for a while.

Satellite U300-13U - iTunes has detected a problem with the audio config
Please can someone help me? I've got a U300-13U laptop and have just installed iTunes on it. However, when I open iTunes I get an error message saying that "iTunes has detected a problem with the audio configuration and may not play properly" That's an understatement - it doesn't play at all!
I've uninstalled, reinstalled both iTunes and Quicktime but to no avail. I've searched and exhausted the iTunes support boards but got nowhere either. The sound is fine as I can play CDs with no issues at all. The only suggestion that I can get is that there may be a problem with audio device not liking Apple and vice versa.
Does anyone have ANY idea at all as to what might be going on here? I'm completely out of my depth, I'm just a simple girl who wants to play her music!!!

I dont use iTunes so Im not an expert with this player but first of all you should give us some important informations:
- What OS do you use?
- Are you using the factory settings (Toshiba recovery disk) or your own Windows version
- Do you have yellow exclamation marks in device manager?
Ok, iTunes told you that there is a audio configuration problem so did you try to update the sound driver? If not, you should try it.
Check the Toshiba website for an update and see what happens. Then post your result:

A week ago, I was burning CDs, no problem. This week, I tried to burn a CD from the same playlist, but all of the songs now have a "!" in front of the title. When I click on it, it says that the original cannot be found. More and more of the songs are having this same "!" showing up. What happened? And how do I get the music back? There are thousands of songs with this "!"!!!!! And, I'm a music teacher, so this is my life!
The ! Means that the link is broken between what is shown in the Library and where the file is located. You will need to relink the items. You can search you HD to see where the files are located then use CMD-O to relink.
Did you move any items using the Finder?
iTunes is a data base manager and if you move items outside of the iTunes interface then iTunes might not keep track/find the move.

HELP! When I try to open my itunes a message occurs that states: The folder "itunes"cannot be found or created, and is required. The default location for this folder is inside the "my music" folder.
When I click on the my documents/my music folder it is empty.
itunes will launch on other users on the same computer - just not mine.

You don't specify which Windows version you are using or which iTunes version either. Both would be helpful in diagnosing your issue. Also do you have separate partitions (Drives) for your Data and system?
Have you made any changes to the location of your My Documents Folder recently? Also I'm surprised that the My Music folder is totally empty, it should at least contain a shortcut to the 'Sample Music' folder! Have you indavertantly deleted the contents of the My Music folder, or may be 'dragged' the contents with the mouse to another location?
Making a few assumptions, ie. you are using Windows XP, have just one Drive (C:\)on your system and that you haven't changed any of the default settings in either Windows or iTunes:
Firstly do a search in your 'UserProfile' for the following file;
iTunes Music Library.xml
Do the search from the 'C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\' folder and specify under the 'More Advanced Options' that it 'Search hidden files and folders' & 'Search subfolders'. The 'UserName' is the name used to log into your User Account in Windows XP.
By doing this search from your UserName folder it restricts the search to your own profile as the file mentioned will be present in all the other account profiles on the system, that use iTunes.
This file contain all the settings information for iTunes which includes the setting for where the iTunes folder is located. For instance on my system the settings for the iTunes folder location look like this;
+*Music Folder*+
+*file://localhost/E:/Users/Public/Public%20Music/iTunes%20Music/My%20Albums*+
If you find this file in your UserName folders somewhere note their location, it should 'normally be stored in the default iTunes folder. If you have inadvertently moved the contents of the +*My Music*+ folder, this should help you to find where they have been moved to and then you can move them back again to the correct location.

Hi I tried to access a previous library using the shift choose library function. It accessed it but now I have lost the current library I was working on which was 28 gb. The old one was 1 mb. I do back up but throught windows. Help!
Access the "current" library the same way the previous library was accessed by holding SHIFT while launching iTunes.

That screen is saying it has gone into recovery mode and you need to use the instructions for attaching by recovery mode given in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

You're not alone. I'm having exactly the same problem. I am running Windows XP version 2002 and cannot uninstall Itunes or update. This problem is affecting my ability to sync music and also with playback. The support for PC users is severely lacking. I'm also getting error messages that says an older version of Bonjour cannot be uninstalled. Help!

I cannot burn cds from itunes. Every time I open itunes i get a message indicating i need to reinstall itunes. I have already done so but it's not working. I still cant burn cds. Does anybody know how i can fix this? My windows media player burns cds just fine.

I had a similar problem with my IPhone 4. After doing all kinds of install/uninstall ip settings config... What worked for me is I went into my router settings and checked for a firmware update. There was one, I updated and I'm good to go. I recommend this COA for anybody with this problem and a Belkin router.

SophieI don't know why you can't access it, but if you were a MobileMe subscriber with the free extra storage this has now been removed and your account will have reverted to 5GB.
