Been unable to load pictures to Facebook or attach pictures to emails. Why is this?
I have been unable to send photo's as email attachments for days now. Just tried to load pictures to Facebook as an alternative and it crashes. Is this an ongoing issue? have installed earlier version of Firefox but have same issues. This has in effect closed me down!!!!! I can't upload pictures to any site so I can't carry on my business. Need a solution and QUICK!!!!!!!

Since I downloaded Security Update 2012-006 for Mac OS X 10.6 I have been unable to print or upgrade my Quicken 2006. How can I fix this? Hurry! I need to pay my bills.
thank you very muchLooks like Apple did the same thing with Lion that Microsoft did with Vista. Brought it on the market before it was ready.
I run a MacBook Pro and upgrading to Lion caused me two days of trouble and computer crash. Router settings removed and router blocked. Dongle not recognised, you name it.
In the end, I gave up and using my Snow Leopard installation disk and a Time Machine Backup finally got my computer up and running again. Thanks to Lion, I think I'll stay with OS X 10.6.8 at least it's reliable. -
Whenever I take pictures in a dark place with my Iphone 4, the pictures come out with a purple haze. Why does this happen?
To make sure that this is not software related, set it back to factory settings, without using any backup data afterwards. Set up the rest of the personal settings manually and test the camera. If it still does not work, this is a hardware issue and the phone has to be serviced by Apple or an Authorized Apple Service Provider:

Picture files won't attach to composed emails.
Picture files from iPhoto and/or desktop will not attach to outgoing email, thru gmail or comcast, need suggestions please.
You are working in Pages for iCloud, which autosaves your document content in iCloud. You get a web archive document, because you are telling the Safari browser to save the current web page, not your actual Pages document content.
If you want to share the Pages for iCloud document content, you should choose Tools from the toolbar, and Send a Copy from that menu. This will pop a choice of PDF, Pages, or Word document formats. If for instance, you chose Word, Pages will convert its content to Word format, and a new dialog will appear and a blue Email button. Selecting Email will pop a new Email window with the Word document attached. -
Pictures on different websites have not been loading, and instead are being replaced by grey banners, most commonly saying "468 X 60", but sometimes other dimensions. This is definitely not making the internet much fun. Please help me get rid of these and bring back the pictures.
Do you see those missing images in Tools > Page Info > Media ?
Do you have security software (firewall, anti-virus) that may be blocking images that have some block listed dimensions?
If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.
*Check the permissions for the domain in the current tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
*Check that images are enabled: Tools > Options > Content: [X] Load images automatically
*Check the exceptions in "Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions"
*Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images with the cursor Down key).
If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.
Make sure that you do not block third-party images, the permissions.default.images pref should be 1.

I updated my Apple TV last night and since then it is asking me to plug it into a device. I have a picture of the Music Logo and a cable needing to be plugged into the back of the Apple TV. however I am unable to do this as none of the cables i have will fit. Can someone please help me?
ThanksThe update failed. It needs to be plugged into a computer with iTunes via a standard USB cable so iTunes can reload its firmware.

I have been unable to load photos onto my iPod.
When I try, it optimizes all of the photos, but it only loads a few of the photos I selected, 5 out of 100. How can I load the photos? I checked the format and they are jpeg. What can I do?
The obvious question is do you have enough free storage space on the iPod?

I have been copying a picture & pasting it on my AOL email & saving photos from Facebook from email . Also, I cannot watch videos posted by my friends on Facebook.
Firefox works fast on scrolling thru Facebook but I haven't found it to be that helpful for simple things I want to do.

On the first issue about pictures.
* You can set Firefox to ask you where to save the file rather than always using the Downloads folder. This article describes how to set that: [[Startup, home page and download settings]].
* When you say "there is no place to indicate the type of file, such as jpg etc." is the problem that Facebook isn't including that in the file name and you need to add it? If you could explain this part a bit more.
* Another way to save pictures is to use the Page Info dialog. While on the page with the images, you can use either:<br><br>* right-click and choose View Page Info > Media<br>* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Media<br><br>As you scroll down the list, you can preview and use the Save As button to save those "hard to get" images.
On the second issue about videos.
* Do you see a gray space indicating that you need a plugin? Or does the video not play when you click it? Please explain what you're experiencing in a little more detail.
* In case you do not have the Flash player plugin for Firefox, you can get it here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ (make sure to uncheck any unwanted extras that Adobe might offer). If you do the download from IE, you won't get the right version. In that case, use this link to choose the non-IE plugin: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/

I have windows xp and just started using firefox I am very pleased with firefox but in ie I always pick up pictures from family and friends on facebook. in ie all I do is right click on the picture and choose save picture as but in firefox I don't have that option when I right click on a photo. My friends that use firefox say they do. what should I do to fix this? also when I upgraded to firefox 4 I no longer get a list of friends in farmville and other games in order to send gifts. I have to use ie to get pictures and if I want to give something in games.
My gosh, friend this is so awesome..I just tried it and it works.. how did you figure this out btw? So I have another problem.. in FFox when someone sends me an email with an photo in the email and I try to right click it is saved as a Firefox doc and not as a photo and I can't open it..any suggestions? I right click on the photo the picture library opens but on the photo line it's a Firefox document..???

When upgrading to Firefox 5 I'm unable to load my Tiscali emails, why is this?
When I used firefox 3 I tried the version 4 Beta although I had to revert back to 3 as it wouldn't load my emails, my service provider is Talk Talk. When the final V4 arrived I upgrade and I could access my emails fine. Now you have V5 available but when I upgrade it prevents me openeing my emails again as before so I have to revert to V4 (it doesn't load the screen up fully once I have entered my password). Every time I open my firefox it asks me to update, of course I have to say no as it will prevent me from accessing my emails again. How can I stop updates on FF or are you going to resolve the email problem, if answers are NO then I'll have no alternative but to remove FF altogether.

Andy DoddI haven't heard of any similar message before. In your "More system details..." it lists two different Adobe PDF plugins, version 8 and version 9. You may have a conflict there, especially if the older one isn't disabled. You could try to disable it here:

If that doesn't help... Adobe Reader and the plugin have been updated to version 10. but Are you willing to upgrade Adobe Reader to see whether that fixes the problem?

Our technicians can't resolove this problem, and our iWeb sites are teacing sites - causing us huge problems because we cannot publish conventionally.
The routeing is laptop/wireless/Xserve/Apache/internet.
Any advice gratefully received.

What I have done is as follows: 1. Signed out of my account. 2. Deleted the cache.db from iWeb Cache (don't delete the folder) 3. Deleted the iWeb.plist 4. Cleared the trash and rebooted the machine 5. Signed into the account. 6. Booted the Domain.sites2 file.
Twice this worked and I made a connection and published. But once I closed iWeb, it refused connection again, and got into a loop as follows - boot Domain.sites2, go to Publish site changes, and it asks me to log in. Once logged in, it (iWeb) continues to ask to be logged in.
Next I removed the current Domain.sites2 files, cleared the trash, and reset as above. Then I booted iWeb and it came up with a clean start. Now it would publish without a problem.
I took the old domain to another machine on the same network and tried it, but it had the same problems as before.
I have brought the old domain home and it has published from my machine here without any problem at all. It just did it.
I think that I have shown that the fault is not in iWeb (tried different machines), not in cache or preferences (constantly cleared them out), not in the domain (works perfectly elsewhere).
Our technicians have suggested that it is that the new network system is incompatible with 10.5, and will work with 10.6 as they have tried it on one of their machines and it works. I have tried it on 10.6 on the same network and it doesn't work, so that is nonsense.
You may be able to sense some despair that we have technicians who blame operating systems and who are quite certain that Mac can't network properly. I used to have to work hard to get OS9 to network, but it did.
Any further support or answers gratefully received.
