Beep sound at the start of G570 laptop

From last 2\3 day my laptop start making a constant beep sound during booting. At the start up there is no problem with Bios and I am able to change the options, but when I save&exit and system starting booting it make beep sound. I have both ubuntu& windows. Thanks in advance

SB Live! 24-bit external: Crackling sound at the start of au

I installed the SB Li've! 24-bit External audio device using the instructions provided, and I ran the automatic update program after installation had finished.
Then I connected my Creative Megaworks THX 2. 250D speaker system to the S/PDIF connector at the back of the SB Li've!.
Now the problem is that when ever any audio playback starts, regardless of the source(games, music, windows media player, youtube), I hear a crackling/popping sound at the start of the playback. The playback it self is clean and sounds very good, but as soon as it ends and I start another audio playback I hear that crackling/popping sound again at the start of the playback.
What's wrong ?

unfortunately we saw this message only today.
The crackles you are getting happen because the original library was developed by Project SAM using a set of samples, and then at the last minute they swapped the sample files with a different set of files without updating the instruments for the changed files.
There are several commercial libraries that unfortunately have this problem, and Project SAM is a known one.
Normally you do not see this problem in Logic, as Logic can see and fix the problem itself silently without teling you anything. When you relink your library with ExsManager, however, Logic thinks the instrument is already ok and will not fix the problem itself.
ExsManager by default will not fix this problem either, because we want the user to be in charge of what is done to his library (i.e. we do not want "magic" to be performed).
It's not a big problem anyway, and you can use ExsManager to fix this:
-start ExsManager
-switch to the advanced mode
-click the "Reset settings" button to start from safe settings
-set SampleDir and InstDir as you you need for your library (should already be set as last time you used it)
-switch to the "Options>References page and enable the "Check and fix sample format inconsistencies in instruments" and "Force refresh for all references"
-click "Analyze"
-click "Process"
... and that's it.
You do not have to do this every time: once the instruments are fixed you can relink as usual.

Exs24 crackling sound at the start of each sample

Hi
I just installed project sams true strike 1 and 2 on the exs 24 sampler on Logic Pro 8.0.2.
My problem is that every time i play a note on the keyboard there is always a popping/crackling sound at the start (attack) of the note. When i go and listen to the sample in the sample editor there is no such pop/click sound.
Is there a way to solve this problem?
I would be thankful for any advice or assumptions!

Beep sound while connecting iphone 4s to laptop

Beep sound are coming when I'm connecting my i phone 4s to my laptop...

Usually when you plug your phone to your computer it will beep.
If you're getting a continuous beeping sound that means the phone isn't charging either due to a bad cable or bad usb port.

I've now tried quite long and looked through the net for one thing:
How do I disable the sound of the multimedia keys above the keyboard? I just find the beep-sounds unbelievable disturbing.

You must enter BIOS and search for option name something like BEEP SOUND or something similar and change to DISABLED. I can't tell where exactly this option is, because my laptop is away from me ;)

KNOCKING SOUND AT THE STARTING OF PRINTING FROM ALL IN ONE F2418

I AM USING ALL IN ONE F2418 FOR LAST 1 AND HALF YEARS. IT WORKS FINE. BUT SUDDENLY THERE IS A KNOCKING SOUND AT THE BEGINNING OF PRINTING JOB EVERY TIME. Thinkstation E31 won't boot up, no display, two beep sounds in the beginning

I just got my thinkstation E31 SFF today and pretty excited about it.
However, when i pressed the power button, it sounded like everything is turned on (fan sound, etc) then there are two beeps and no display on the monitor.
What is wrong? Can anyone help, please?

without knowing your monitor model, what connections it supports, and if it's set to use the VGA signal as default, this is difficult to debug. i'd suggest calling support at 800-426-7378 and they can help walk you through everything.
eventually you'll want to change the BIOS display output option to use discreet graphics, then connect your monitor to the Q600. this can be done by openening the BIOS setup by pressing the F1 key at boot. the settings can be found in the HMM: http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/thinkcentre_pdf/e31_hmm.pdf setup instructions start on page 55.

"Scratch" Playback sound at the start of songs/when cycling through menus

Yesterday I decided to activate genius on my new laptop. Today, I noticed a "scratching" noise appear in the first few sconds of playback, and when cycling through the menus, (from music to itunes store, to ipod, etc.). After looking at some of the discussions here, and deciding my problem wasnt being covered, I tried a couple things and managed to sort this out personally:
Simply:
1) Open windows sound manager.
2) Scroll down to find itunes - "page load complete".
3) Test sound to ensure it's the scratching sound corrupting playback.
4) Set sound to "none".
5) Apply changes.
I then realised some people may not consider this solution, so posted it up here.

It's usually from 3rd party VI's not clearing the buffer from a previous note when bouncing.
Yes it's still in L8.
I leave a few bars of blank space at the beginning and before I bounce while the seq is still playing, I manually keep looping those blank bars by clicking the playhead at bar 1 BEFORE it starts to play the track again. When I don't hear anymore ring out, I bounce.
Seems kinda silly, but that's what works. I was really hoping they'd fix this or not let the plugins pass the AU exam if they can't clear the buffers. That would motivate the 3rd parties to update pretty quick if that really is the problem.

IMovie - I have video interview and added photos. I want to add sound to the photos. They are at the end of the video. I added one free music sound over the start of the photo section. How do I continue to add music to the following photos?

Officejet J3680 Control Panel does not respond to buttons, just make "beep sound"

Hi everybody, thanks for reading.
The problem is that my (brand new) J3680 control panel does not work until I press all the buttons, yes its weird.
Note #1: The printer works perfect when used through the computer (I am Linux user).
Note #2: Once I have pressed all the buttons at control panel the control panel (kind of) works.
Heres how this happens:
I plug the power cord
Now, the printers start and not even the Power button works, so I cant turn it off, each time I press any button it just do a “beep sound” and the LCD screen keeps the same
The LCD shows this:
0 Speed Dial
<One-Touch 1>
Now I have figured out what the LCD screen initialization means:
0: Thats the times I have pressed the “Speed Dial” button
Speed Dial: Thats the button I have to press to make the Control Panel works
<One-Touch 1>: This is the next button I have to press after the “Speed Dial” has been pressed
The printer then makes me press all the buttons (...)
I think this is kind of some “Control Panel button calibration", because the LCD respond perfect when I press the button the printer ask
The other problem is that I don't know how to finish this calibration or whatever this is, because I reach a point where I cant find the button it ask
The LCD ends showing:
1 Color Start
<Hidden 1+Black>
Where “1 Color Start” was the last button it asked me to press, and the <Hidden 1+Black> is the next one combination.
Note that “Hidden 1” is not “1” not “Speed Dial 1”, I have just tried that combinations, but does not work.
Please help I have to do this each time I turn on the printer to make the control panel work. Thanks a lot.

Beep sound for every minute in call recordings

Hi,
I am using cistera convergence server for call recordings. For every recording, I am observing a beep sound before the recording starts and followed by exactly every 60 seconds. I didn't see any beep in live calls. This is only when I play the recording wav file.
Cistera support guys said there is no problem on their server end and suggesting to check in CCM/IVR.
Can anyone suggest me?

I am not familiar with the recording system you use, but there is something in Call Manager that may be appropriate. This is often configured when you set up CUCM silent-monitoring for CTIOS.
Monitoring Notification Tone
A monitoring notification tone can be configured using the Service Parameter Configuration page in the CCM Administration Interface. There are two entries:
Play Monitoring Notification Tone to Observed Target
When set to true, this option will play the tone to the monitored party (usually an agent).
Play Monitoring Notification Tone to Observed Connected Target
When set to true, this option will play the tone to the party to which the monitored party is talking (usually a customer).
A monitoring notification tone can be configured using the Service Parameter Configuration page in the CCM Administration Interface/ Select Server/ Select Cisco CallManger (active) for Service. Look for "Clusterwide Parameters (Feature - Monitoring"). If these are set to true, set them to false and see what happens. A CM restart may be required.

V200 Horrible BEEP sound

I have the problem with my V200. When I'm plugging/unplugging the power supply there comes the horrible BEEP sound from the inside (also when computer go to standby mode). It's really very loud and I don't know what to do with it. It's not that beep from the device manager / hidden devices panel. It's other BEEP louder and more annoying :-)
There is no option in BIOS and no Power Manager for V200 to turn it off. The only way to don't hear this sound is to mute audio on a laptop, but it is very uncomfortable.
Any ideas? Please help me...

Replace or Repair- Freezing plus beeping sound

Hi all, I got my unibody 13 inch 2.4g while visiting Toronto in Dec2008. After a week, while using it, the screen became fuzzy and everything froze. I had to hold down the power button to put it off. I held it down again to reboot but all i got was a black screen and a beeping sound with the power light in the front flashing with every beep. When i took it to the apple store, the genius said the ram was not sitting well and he reset it. The machine worked well. I have left Toronto and back to Kenya now and the same problem has started again and more frequently (everyday). I know its on warranty but we dont have an apple agent here and i am not going to Toronto anytime soon. I emailed them and they say must be BAD RAM. but I'll be travelling to the UK and hope to take it to the apple store there.
Now my concern is i want a replacement rather than repair because i dont believe in having s'thing i spent $1700 on getting repaired/refurbished in within a month. Someone pls advice because i have a feeling the apple UK may say i did not buy it from there- so cannot replace, only repair. But is Apple not Apple wherever they are. How do i approach this.

Power adapter makes constant beep sound

I have HP pavillion dv6 and its almost 3 years old. Recently the power adapter makes constant beep sound and the laptop wouldn't get power.
Any idea as why is this happening. Could someone please provide some solution?? Sholud I buy a new one?

I saw your post regarding the power adapter. Have you tried another adapter to see if that gets the notebook powering on. Do you see a light on the power adapter at all? It does sound like the power adapter has failed. If you can provide me with your product number I will be able to tell you your batteries part number.
