Beeping noise while talking

I often hear a beeping noise like a dialtone when I am talking on the phone. This has been going on for quite a while. The person on the
other end does not hear it. Any resolutions?

It sounds like a notification sound.

  • Random beeps/tones while talking on iPhone (3Gs)?

Has anyone else noticed the iPhone 3Gs (my model) making random beeps or tones while talking? It appears to be when your wireless is enabled on the phone. As soon as wireless is disabled, these beeps during a phone call go away. This issue appeared during iOS 6.0.1 update.
The beeps occur at any time and are not part of a minute beep, notificiation beep, or any other type of iOS function. The phone was fully restored to factory and apps were added. The method to "get rid" of the beeps is to disable wifi and it appears to dissapear.
Anyone at Apple care to shed light on their Q/A process?

My girlfriend's iphone 4s does this to me all the time. Not only do I hear it on my iphone 5, but also my house phone. I'm guessing it's her phone or Sprint.

  • Beeping noises while recording with guitar. Help, please.

I am trying to record with my guitar in Garageband. There is a constant beeping noise in the backround. I have changed the input to the usb port that is hooked up to the guitar. I have read many forums about this problem, but nothing has helped. I really could use help. Thank you.

Did you ever figure this out? I am getting the same beeps and am at a loss of what to do.

  • Ticking/popping noise while talking on phone...

I know some people are experiencing this but I'm wondering if my problem is different. This noise only occurs while on wifi. I have tested it many times and when I turn wifi off the sound is gone and when I turn it on it's back almost immediately! Is there some kind of interference going on? I called apple and they said wait for the next update to see if it fixes it.

    anyone experienced this??

  • Mac Mini emitting beep-like noises while switched on

    Hi all,
I have a late 2011 Mac Mini which has been working fine until today.
Today, it started emitting really annoying beep like noises while switched on. The Mac Mini functions as usual, safe for the really loud, really annoying beeping noises, which seem pretty much to occur randomly, and sound pretty random too (as opposed to steady system warning beeps).
I also opened the Mac-Mini hatch, checked the RAM was connected properly, and removed dust/fluff, but the beeping still happens.
I ran the Apple Diagnostic and also checked the Disk using disk utility, but got no errors, and I can't seem to find anyone who has had a similar issue on the net.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance!

    when turned on
It will take you to where you need to go to solve this problem.
Mine did that and it took me to Apple Support page identifying what was going on.

  • Beeping while talking on phone

I hear beeps while talking on my iPhone 5. The person I'm speaking to does not hear it.What does the beeps mean and how do I turn it off?

The beep I'm hearing is different. A few minutes into a conversation I'll hear a beep (it sounds like the person I'm talking to is pushing a button on their landline phone). This happens even if the person is on their cell. The beep will occur about every minute thereafter. When I ask the person I'm talking to if they hear it they always say no. I've noticed this beep for about 2 weeks now.

Is it constantly beeping or is it beeping when you place it on the touchstone? If you place it on the touchstone and it beeps this is expected behavior. Also note that you could be bumping the device shifting it off the charger and then back on thus the beeping noise telling you that it has been realigned again properly and is charging properly.

  • Continuous Beeping noise on Startup and at other times

My iMac is over a year old. I have no idea what is wrong or happening here but below is what happens.
I hear a continuous beeping noise from my iMac at times. I had Firefox open and when it started beeping, a little search bar opened up at the bottom left of the browser so I assumed it was a sticky key on the keyboard so I pressed the spacebar and the beeping stopped and the search bar disappeared. This happened a few more times while I was using the browser.
The other day I started up my iMac and before it opened to the desktop it showed a small iMac HD icon so I clicked it and it started up normally, but then the beeping started so I just hit the spacebar and it stopped. Now I do remember after I turned the iMac on I accidently pressed some keys on the keyboard so this maybe why it showed the HD icon but I don't really know.
Yesterday morning I turned the iMac on and came back to hear it was beeping again. It was just a fast non stop beeping, too fast to count the beeps. It had loaded into the desktop so it was all good apart from the beeping, again I pressed the spacebar and it stopped.
Yesterday afternoon I got more beeping. Beeping is not just on startup it must be something else. I was using Firefox and was trying to scroll down the page, yet it kept jumping back to the top not letting me scroll down. This happened the other day when the beeping started. Anyhow I closed the browser and the beeping starts. I was able to turn the sound down and that got rid of the beeping, turned the sound up and the beeping still there.
    I tried this so far...
unplugged keyboard and started up mac = no beeping
plugged keyboard in and started up mac = beeping
Again this morning I turned my iMac on, and beeping happened again, this time I clicked System Prefrences and the beeping stopped. I then clicked the Sys Pref folder red icon to close it and it made a different noise, but closed. I then opened up Firefox and went straight to my bookmarks to find a link, it wouldn't let me scroll down my list of bookmarks either, then the beeping started so I closed Firefox. Then I heard a loud sratchy type noise, it was much louder and hearing this has now made me think, something is not right.
    Firefox version - 3.5.3
    Mac OS X version 10.5.8
I don't want to set PRAM or those settings yet unless it's needed as I don't know what settings/network etc it will remove or change.
    I appreciate any help:) thanks

  • When listening to nano 6th gen with dock the audio book will make beeping noises and then switch to a song.

While listening to my 6th gen nano on a JBL dock the audio book will make beep noises and then swith to a song on my nano.  Any idea?  Thanks.

I saw your other post, but thought I would reply here as well. It is all about getting that headset seated all the way. If you can see any silver of the plug, it is not in far enough. Push harder. If it just won't go in, look in there to see if it is blocked. The bottom of the headset port is white, so if it appears all dark at the bottom... something is in there.

  • Is there a way to eliminate or reduce wind noise while retaining voice?

Is there a filter/effect that will reduce wind noise while retaining voice reception?

    Mickey Oksner wrote:

    HI -
Are you talking about general wind noise as in "Wind in the Background" or are you referring to wind which is directly hitting the microphone capsule and thus causing extreme plosives and distortion.
In latter scenario, there is nothing that you can do aside from 'living with it' or record it again.
The first scenario; one can use a either an advanced denoiser which will literally remove the noise from the audio signal. In the case of wind, this would probably remove lots of the vocal too and cause unwanted side effects.  I myself would use a gate (AKA Noise Gate) or expander effect. The gate sets a threshold @ which it literally opens and lets the audio signal pass thru'. One would set that threshold to open when the person is talking. And close when he is not. In most cases the wind will be a little quieter in level than the speech (If the material has been recorded correctly).
There are numerous of cheap and perfect functioning gates available as audio units.
Perhaps you can find some free, perhaps not.
If @ one point you want to get something which is really good and highly intuitive, I suggest you look into the FabFilter company.
They make great audio products @ a very fair rate and are the most intuitive you can find. But try the free ones first.

Removing noise is about the most nasty and difficult thing, I as an audio engineer can think of. So don't expect this to be easy if it has to sound great ;-)

  • BB8520 While talking over Handset, it toggoles between Headset and Handset

    Hi,
I bought this new BB8520 in April 2010 from T-mobile. I am having the version as follows :
Smartphone: v4.6.1.259 (Platform: 4.2.0.116). I did not upgrade or install any other software since I purchased.
Background of my problem: I had BIS/BES data plan active since I purchased in April 2010. Now, I will be leaving for a while and want this phone to be used by Wife and She does not need any Data Plan. So I called T-mobile and removed the data plan. So now, it's a normal phone now. I did nothing and no change of set up from my front end of my BB8250.
Current Issue: After couple days after the data plan got removed ( this may co-incident, I am not sure) , when i am receiving any calls or calling somebody from my black berry, voices are breaking ( sounds like 'TICK', 'TICK' are audible in the hand set) . I really cant hear other person's voice.
When I make Activate to Speakerphone, porblem still exists. I also found, that when I make any calls /receive calls, I can see on the calls screen as  Telephone sign and TWO arrows  above "Connected <Phone number>"...In the TWO arrows sign, it is toggling between Headset sign and arrows sign. If I insert my head set , then I can speak fine. I am suprised when I remove the Headset cable from my BB and started talking, then I hear that noice 'TICK' TICK' ( like sinusoidal wave ).
Please suggest what to do because I rarely use the head set while I speak. I dont tjhink it has any connection with my data plan removal.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Prits

    Hi,
I am upset since nobody replied to my problem. Probably I was too long to describe my problem.
My BB8520 is working fine except when I make calls or receive calls, I hear a noise 'TICK' ,'TICK' in my phone which is causing trouble while talking.
If I use my headset or bluetooth, It is perfectly fine. No noise or sound disturbs me.
I also observed that when I make calls without Headphone or Bluetooth, calls screens shows - Headphone/headset  sign and it disappears quickly. I observed that the headset sign would only come in the screen if I use the headphone.
What is wrong if I do not connect the headset and why headphone sign is toggling in my BB screen when I am not using the Headphone sign.
    Thanks,
    Prits

  • Google Voice txting not making a notification sound while talking on the phone

Does anyone else have the problem when you recieve a new txt message on google voice, you don't get any kind of notification sound while talking on the phone?  The only way I ever get notified is if I turn the screen back on and see the google voice widget new txt message.  I have tried different things to no avail.  On my old nonsmart phone, I had regular txting and it always notified me with a beep every few minutes until I checked the txt message.  Is there a way to do that at all with the charge and google voice?  Thanks.

It's on 4G LTE   I am getting all of the txt messages, except I am not recieving any sound notification when I am on a call.  Do any of the verizon employees or techs have any suggestions?  Everything is all set up correctly, and it notifies me with a sound just fine as long as I am not on a call.
