Before I return it - Advice needed

First post here, but I wanted to ask some questions about my new K1 (I just picked it up yesterday at the $299 Office Depot sale).
I think I may have to take it back. My problem is that it is laggy and in general, quite slow. I tested out the floor unit to specifically see if it was snappy or not (as compared to my iPad 2) and I was quite pleased.
After I get it home and set it up, however, I am very disappointed. I am figuring my unit may be bad. It is simply too laggy. Often times, there will be a freeze delay during apps, or switching between them, or every while browsing the internet. I can swipe the screen to get the message that says the app is busy, force close or wait, and I can generally wait and it will take back up. I do not think this is normal. I upgraded to 3.2 (took quite a while to get all of the updates done) and that didn't help.
I then reset the unit to factory to start over, and that didn't help (though it did leave 3.2 on there).
So, do I need to return it? Is there anything I can try to see if it is defective, or to troubleshoot on why it is slowing down?

Although not perfect, my unit is pretty peppy. Suggest you take it back to the retailer for comparison. Bet they'll swap it if its obviously not performing comparatively.

That screen grab helps a lot. There’s a much easier way of doing what you’re doing.
Remove all your tabs and set the text in justified paragraphs.
I’ve typed in dummy text in the example I made below, but after “19.1” put in a space and put your blinking cursor after the space and before the ’N’ of ‘Notices'.
Then hold down the Command key and hit Backspace (on Mac at least - it’s the key between the Inverted commas/ apostrophe key and the return key).
The text will jump into place the way you want it to.

PS You can set a tab, instead of using a space, in the description I gave above. So, after 19.1 or 19.2 or 19.185 etc etc insert a tab, then hit the Command Backspace after every paragraph number and they'll all line up exactly together. You'll find that editing text within the paragraphs
after you've set it will be LOADS easier this way.
You can put the tab anywhere you want it to be using 'Command-ShiftT' and putting a 'left align' tab just after the number. Just type the Command Backspace after the paragraph number and it'll work

I am having trouble locating such files as PDF's INDD, AI etc. When I view all hidden files and try to open it in the program..it looks like it is really not on the drive. Has anyone come across a solution?

You may need to rebuild permissions on your user account. To do this,boot to your Recovery partition (holding down the Command and R keys while booting) and open Terminal from the Utilities menu. In Terminal, type: ‘resetpassword’ (without the ’s), hit return, and select the admin user. You are not going to reset your password. Click on the icon for your Macs hard drive at the top. From the drop down below it select the user account which is having issues. At the bottom of the window, you'll see an area labeled Restore Home Directory Permissions and ACLs. Click the reset button there. The process takes a few minutes. When complete, restart.

I've got a city transit bus that I'm converting into a party bus. It already has existing speakers (6" I think) below the seats connected to an intercom system. I need some good quality speakers to interface with a CD player/Laptop/MP3/iPod and possibly an Xbox 360. I need some suggestions mainly for amps and a head unit that will work for me. Any suggestions?

My iPhone sound comes and goes, and I usually have to wait awhile before it returns again?

in the last few weeks I have notice my phone (iphone 4S) sounds comes and goes a few times a day, I have reset and turning it on and off and does not work. I usually have to wait a few minutes before it returns. Its getting fustrated not knowing how it happen. Need help

I also have the same issue sound comes and goes. No music no text sounds no app sounds. Only can hear when on speaker and when phone rings. Other day my friend let me borrow a cord that plugs into phone then lets me plug phone into tv to watch movies. Bam it works for about a day then stops. Plug it back in again it works. I'm not sure how to fix it completely. The cord gets plugged into the same place as when you charge it then plug in the hdmi cord. I to need a permanent fix.

Try out these steps on Azure Preview Portal:
1. On Application Overview blade select Users chart
2. On opened Metrics Explorer blade select grid under charts
4. In "Group by" combobox select a property by which to group the average time before user returns.
3. In chart details select metric "Time between sessions (Avg)"

I got my artwork and saved it to my Desktop
Opened up Microsoft Paint and clicked on "File" and "Open" and found it to get it on the screen to resize it
Clicked "resize" and a box for changing it opened up
Checked the box "Pixels" and "Unchecked maintain aspect ratio"
Set Horizontal for 640 and Vertical for 480
Clicked on "OK" and went back to "File" and did a "Save As" and chose JPEG Picture
It came up "File Already Existed" and clicked "OK" (really did not care about the original artwork I found because wrong size)
Went to iTunes and on the movie right clicked on "Get Info", clicked on "Details", then "Artwork"
Go to the little box on the top left that shows your old artwork and click on it to get the little blue border to appear around it and hit "Delete" to make it gone
Click on "Add Artwork" and find it where you put the one from above on your Desktop and hit "Open" and OK and your new artwork is now there and all good.
Sounds like a lot of steps to follow but after around 5 or so you will fly through it. This worked perfect on my iPhone 6 Plus and I have artwork on my Home Videos now.

hello - i am having this issue and can't get around this when creating a popup LOV based on sql.
below is LOV query. as you see the view has only two columns. I tried various ways by giving alias to columns in query but nothing works. What did I miss here?
select description,inventory_item_id from xx_apex_inv_v

Advice needed on buying iphone as gift

I went to apple store, they do not want to sell iphone to me unless I sign AT&T 2 years plan. I thought AT&T has locked the phone and users must subscribe in order to use it. Why Apple store still not allow me to buy?
Please advice, if I want to buy online iphone for my brother, do I or my brother have obligation to sign out AT&T plan?
One more advice needed, I found the shipment takes weeks, do I have option to arrange for self-collection?
My brother birthday is coming soon, I need above advice urgently.

Well that's not entirely true.
Apple Stores have been instructed not to sell you an iPhone if any of the following is true:
You state that you will not be signing up with AT&T.
You do not have an ID from a US state, also indicating you will not be activating with AT&T
You do not have a credit card
For example, I've seen US Apple Store managers refuse to sell iPhones to European residents because of the AT&T lock-in.

I know that there are alot of posts on advice - need to buy mac etc. so therfore I would really appreciate if I am afforded some help.
I am mostly going to do ALOT of video encoding (via handbrake) and I am looking for the best configuration available to achieve lowest waiting time.

If the email hasn't arrived after a few hours and isn't in a spam filter, you need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, or clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed in either article, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.
