Before I signed up with Thunderbird, I was using Incredimail as my email client, but the program just quit one day.

On incredimail, I was able to set up group account which I named friends, and I pretty much had everyone that was in my mailing list in it sure saved typing all those names, can I do the same in Thunderbird, and how would I do it? I advance, I thankyou from the bottom of my heart for any help you may convey to me.

Hello everyone, I posted a question a few days ago, regarding Incredimail, but I can see that I had not made it clear what my problem was, My problem is that on Incredimail I could set up an account called Friends, and then put all my friends names into it. so then when I wanted to send them an email, in the address box, I only had to type Friends, and all my friends would receive the same email, which is what I wanted.Oh yes I do send each of them emails on their birthdays, and/or anniversaries, and other reasons, but we are such a close knit group, that I send them all the same emails when it is required. I was requested by Mozilla Firefox to do an update, and per the request I clicked on the update. A window came up (it is now gone@#$^&!!!!) and it just kept repeating that it was connecting to the update server. Can't sign in using any 3rd party email client with my iCloud account on any Mac or any other Mac. My iCloud will only work with Mail.app. All the clients I tried work perfectly well as long as I sign in with somebody else's iCloud account. But mine won't work no matter the client (Postbox, Unibox, Airmail...) and no matter the computer.
I can access my account on iCloud.com, but I can't use email clients without getting error messages prompting me to check my password or login.
I was able to use those clients in the past but a couple of months ago I got logged out of Airmail and the issue started just like that!
I tried every possible mail server settings including the following:
IMAP information for the incoming mail server
Server name: imap.mail.me.com
SSL Required: Yes
If you receive errors when using SSL, try using TLS instead.
Port: 993
Username: The name part of your iCloud email address (for example, emilyparker, not [email protected])
Password: Your iCloud password
SMTP information for the outgoing mail server
Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
SSL Required: Yes
If you receive errors when using SSL, try using TLS instead.
Port: 587
SMTP Authentication Required: Yes
Username: Your full iCloud email address (for example, [email protected], not emilyparker)
Password: Your iCloud password

Those are the correct settings, and they work with any email client that supports Imap.
Try again.

Aha! I have sorted it.
For those with similar problems, the solution is this:
Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > MIDI Drivers
Then delete DigiDioMidiDriver.plugin

I just purchased an IMac with lion and I tryed to install an old math program that is for winmac running systems. When I try to boot the cd it comes up with a notepad window with a bunch of weird symbols and codes but the program will not start up.

I just purchase my first IMac with lion and I was trying to install a math program I bought 6 years ago. When I went to boot it off the disk while following the program instructions a window popped up with a note pad format with symbols and codes but the program would not download or open. How do I get this program to work? It is a mac compatible program by the way.

Your Mac probably does not know with which application to open the file and is opening a file with a text editor that really needs to be opened by the application itself. Try starting the application first, then use the File > open command to open the file.
As varjak paw comments, there isn't a "winmac" so that's not telling us anything.
Note that it is possible that software purchased 6 years ago may no longer run on your computer. Once we know what it is we can help more.

thanks chris for the reply back,i have solved the massive problem i have had with MF 3.6.3 it ws COMODO FREE FIREWALL i had a sneaking suspicion all a long it could have been that but was not sure?,my pc had slowed down since installing comodo i am pretty sure of that,there were lags and pauses ect ect on general usage of the pc even though cpu usage was ok?,so maybe if many pc users that have comodo firewall installed they might like to try a change to another firewall and see if it helps,i went back to OUTPOST FREE FIREWALL which i had for ages without ANY problems whatsoever.

Try downloading and installing the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware. Update your MBAM definitions and then run a full scan of the PC. (Takes about 2 hour on my Lenovo.)

I've been using iText Express for a year or two now because it's just the one application I downloaded for writing and saving documents. No, I already tried looking at that. The file that recovered was not in the trash, it appeared in my documents folder. I opened it up and inside was an iText Express document with coding. Then inside of there, was and then and this "SoftwareMap" document contained a bunch of coding and symbols and words.

Adobe does not sell older versions of their software. If you wish to purchase an older version you will have to find and take your chances with a third party vendor.
