BEFW11S4 Internet light not coming on

My modem works just fine. But when I plug the ethernet cord to the router and then an ethernet cord to my computer from the router, I have no internet connection. If I have my laptop up, I can see my wireless network and connect to it, but there is no internet activity. I pinged my routers address and got all 4 packets back. When I have the router connected to my computer I can go to the router set up page. What could possibly be wrong? I've even taken the router back to factory settings and the internet still won't work.

What is "bump"? I have owned same model for 4 years and had my share of issues. If you havent figured it out yet PM me and i can help with basics.

I recently had to format my PC due to a hard drive issue. I Have Comcast internet service (CABLE INTERNET) and my router hooked up to my workstation,. I first unplugged my router before the format. Reformatted my PC and plugged my router back in. When I plugged it back in I saw a static bolt come from the plug head but it still powered on fine. The "Wireless" part works fine. My laptop can see the router BUT my internet lite keeps blinking when I tried to use the router from my wired PC. I checked all the setup but IM not sure what’s going on? Everything seems set up fine. The "internet" light is blinking erratically and I don’t remember it ever doing that. Is my router shot? PLEASE HELP! Ryan

well if the internet light is blinking that means modem and router is communicating with each other... if internet is not working through the router try following steps...connect modem >> router >> hardwired pc, reset the router by pressing reset button on router about 30 seconds, release the reset button and power cycle the n/w, power down the router and modem, wait for couple of minutes and power up the modem first once modem is rebooted, power up the router check whether it works or not, if it still doesn't work logon to router's setup page, open I.E. and in the address bar type 192.168.1.1, it would ask for username and password, put "admin" as password without any username, click on MAC address clone, enable it and click "clone" save the settings, power cycle the n/w... check whether it works for you, if you have any problem let me know.

Internet light not lit, tech support not helping, PPP Down?

Hey guys, I have a problem. I just ordered Verizon's HSI and yesterday was my service ready date. I receieved a call saying that my service was ready, except it's not working at all.
I spent a majority of yesterday evening on the phone with tech support, which seemed like they were clueless and not helping. here's my problem.
I have a Westell 7500 modem/router. The DSL light is a solid green, however the Internet light is out. It's not red or green, just unlit. I logged into the router settings and i see this big warning: Gateway is not ready for internet connection. Well, that's no good. It also says DSL Connected, but PPP down.
I went into the connections of the router settings and I changed the login information to my verizon account information, but that didn't seem to do anything. It still says the PPP status is down.
No matter what I do, I am not connected to the internet it seems. I talked to a represenative on the phone and he said that the problem is on Verizon's end, but he seemed kind of confused so I don't know if he really knows what he was talking about.
I'm not really a happy camper with the service so far, so I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out here. God forbid I switch to Comcast and their lousy bandwidth cap, but if this isn't resolved soon I may have to resort to that.
Or if there is a tier 3 DSL support number with professionals, i would LOVE to have that.

Thanks for the replies. I have spoken with tech support but I really don't think they know what to do. Each time they just tell me to "go to the router setting and click connect. Oh it's not working? Well... I'll call back tomorrow. It will work tomorrow"
They're supposed to call me back "within 24-48 hours" with good news that my internet will suddenly be working. I'm not going to hold my breath. I'll update with any news as I'm sure i'm not the only one going through this.

HP Pavilion 15-n034sa Notebook PC not powering up and charging light not coming on

Two weeks ago my daughter's laptop would not switch on. The charging light was on and the power light was blinking. I looked this up on the internet and the suggested solution was to remove the battery and power on which worked. Now when plugged in the charging light isn't on, the power light is not blinking and the laptop won't switch on. I've tried my son's charger which is compatible but still no luck. Any ideas?

Is the daughter's laptop under warranty? Failure sometimes comes on slowly and at first a kick in the pants like a hard reset can bring it around but it is only temporary until it finally fails. If you get no response when a known good power supply is attached it is almost certainly a dead motherboard.

Airport express light not coming on

when connected to outlet and modem. does this mean the airport express has suddenly and completely stopped working? will a hard factory reset fix this?

If the AirPort Express is plugged into a working AC socket and the light is not on, unfortunately the power supply section of the AirPort Express has very likely failed.
You can try a Factory Default Reset if you want, but it will be of no use if the power supply has failed.
Unplug the Express from power
Wait a minute
Hold in the reset button on the Express first, and keep holding it in for another 9-10 seconds while you simultaneously plug the Express back into AC power
Release the reset button after the hold period and allow a full minute for the Express to restart
If the reset has somehow ressurrected the Express, you will see a solid amber light for about 30-40 seconds that will change to slow blinking at about 45 seconds. That would be your signal that the Express has been reset and now can be configured again.
If the light remains off, the Express will need to be replaced.

Plugged in but AC light not coming on and laptop not turning on

I bought a Toshiba satellite p55w . I had it for a few months. I shut it down with full battery. 15 minutes later it won't turn back on. I plugged it in and the ac light isn't coming on

Unfortunately, I'd suggest you call customer support. It could require servicing.

Cable light not coming on and not charging. Outlet working

I plugged in my charging cable as usual and light did not come on. Outlet working. Tried several times to get to "sit" correctly. Yesterday I had problem with wi-fi. I noticed there was a red light on one setting, something that began with "fire..." I got wi-fi to work again. Don't know if there is any connection to problem right now, but I am down to about 7% power!

First make sure both male and female MagSafe connectors are perfectly clean and the gold pins on the cable end are all sticking out (see here, especially #7, click on the triangle to open: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1713 ). Then try to do an SMC reset: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
If that doesn't solve the issue, the power brick may be bad and require replacement. Do you have access to another power brick to test and see that the charging circuits are ok on your Mac?

Charger light not coming on

For awhile now, my laptop will sometimes charge and sometimes not. How do I know if it needs a new battery or a new charger? I checked the battery health under about this Mac and it says is normal. Does that mean it should still be good for awhile? When I plug it in, the light on the charger won't come on anymore. A few days ago it wouldn't come on but I'd move it to a different outlet nd it would come on after a while, but now nothing. I really can't afford a whole new computer so I really need to find out what I need to replace.

Shut down the computer.

Sleep light not coming on

Hello, I have a late 2006 Black MacBook, and I have noticed that the sleep indicator light does not come on unless I press on the top cover in that corner. Is this a loose connection that I can fix, or is it something that I need to replace?

There is a small ribbon cable from the sleep light and remote control sensor, and it is possible that it could be loose where it joins to the hard drive connector. As this connection is incredibly small and delicate, and can only be accessed by removing the keyboard/topcase, hard drive and connector, it would probably be best to leave it as there is a risk of causing more serious damage.

Wrt54gs all seems good cept internet light will not light or flash and no connection

Got a WRT54GS router. # months old. I have it hooked up to comcast. This evening . I found no net when I turned on pc. I have comcast phone and net service. So My modem also handles phone calls aswell. On my cable modem there is a link light with is normaly flashing. When I got home my link light was dark. None of my pcs or consoles could get on the internet. I found all the lights on my router on cept the internet light. I called comcast and they verified it was my routeri I hooked this pc strait to modem and all worked fine. This is how im posting now. Ive tried newest firmware and multiple manual resets on router. I get everything but the internet light.<Internet light does not come at all.> Ilso get no net when hooked to router. If I use modem alone all is fine.

Since the "internet" light is not coming on , i'd say that it may be a problem with the "cable" you are using between the modem and the router....if the cable is good....try this....take one CAT5 cable and plug one end into the one of the LAN ports and the other end into the internet port of the router.....check if the internet light turns on...in case it does , try connecting a "hub" between the modem and the router..... let me know what happens

we connected cable and it came up. The conclusion is single m9de sfps does not show light where multimode sfp shows light when sfp is connected on switch port.

MacBook pro not charging. Charging light is not coming up

My Macbook pro's battery was down to 2% so I shut it down and kept in for charging. But the charger's green light or the orange light indicating charging didn't come. I checked the power supply and it was fine. The charger has the slight hum indicating it is getting the power but macbook is not charging and the lights are not coming on. My Macbook is a late 2011 model of 13"

I have an internet light, but my internet does not work.

Ok so here's the deal. My knowledge of computers definetly above average, but i'm not a genius. OK. I have a westell modem\router combo. The signal is so weak on it that i can't even connect my psp with it in the next room. So i bought a Linksys Router. I disabled the routing ability on the westell modem and made it a bridge. I then connected it to my Linksys WRT54G Wireless Router. Everything works fine. all the correct light come on. The only problem is, the internet light comes on, but i have no acess to the internet. I then contacted Linksys tech support on the phone and talked with them and i downloaded EasyLink Connect, but when i run it, it can't detect the Linksys router. I know its connected because i can type in my ip address and change the settings of the router. I have no idea what to do now if anybody has even the slightest idea of what to do, please help. Thanks

Alright...if you have converted the modem in to bridge mode you should be having username and password...connect modem >> router >> pc, reset the router back to default settings and power cycel the router, logon to router's setup page and use PPPoE encapsulation instead of Automatic confg. DHCP and put username and password...click on the status tab and try connecting to PPPoE server...let me know the results.
