I have a Cable Modem, Windows XP, Comcast internet. I can get only access the internet directly with the Modem..

try this...
•reset the router first for 30secs and power cycle for 30secs
•access the set up page of the router through 192.168.1.1
•go to mac address clone (enable and click clone pc's mac) save settings
•configure your wireless settings
•go to status tab - if you're seeing an internet ip address under status example 66.25.45.6 that means that your modem and router communicated
•power cycle modem and router 1 minute
•try to check internet connection after

The current KB article about extending wireless networks is out of date--how do you "allow this network to be extended" on AirPort Utility 6.x? These instructions describe v. 5.x.

In my case, the option was required, so the problem was that it wasn't available. When I used v6.2 to extend the network on the secondary AP Express, it gave an error saying the network couldn't be extended.
Once I booted Snow Leopard from an external drive, I was able to follow the instructions in HT4259 with v5. Once I checked the "allow this network to be extended" on the primary AP Express, the secondary AP Express started extending the network as it should.
While v5 of the AirPort Utility is available for download, it won't work on Mountain Lion, so this solution wouldn't work for most people, who don't keep old operating systems lying around.

Your old MacBook series, built between 2006 and 2010, had several
different verions within those years and they do not all accept a later
upgrade to the most newest OS X versions...
These shipped with (early) intel-version Tiger OS X 10.4.x through
Leopard 10.5.x, and early models can use Snow Leopard 10.6.8,
& some can run as late as Lion 10.7.5; or maybe Mavericks 10.9.2.
Hardware limits and system configuration specs determine this.
A supported computer may also need hardware upgrade (RAM)
to run a later OS X system version along with newer software.

The base system upgrade for earliest MacBook 1.1 & MB2.1 past
the original as-shipped Leopard 10.5.x, would be Snow Leopard
10.6 (w/ Combo update to 10.6.8 v.1.1) for Snow Leopard download.
So your MacBook likely has either Leopard or Snow Leopard. If it has
Snow Leopard 10.6.8 installed/updated to last step, then it may be
able to go to the online Mac App Store, App Store, iTunes Store, etc.
You can see if an applicable upgrade past the current OS X system
is available from the Mac App Store. If yours is MacBook1.1 (early)
then highest it may go is Snow Leopard 10.6.8. The later MB2.1
has limited upgrade, and could use Lion OS X 10.7.5 at most.
More recent builds of MacBook, toward the last model year 2010,
can take as new an upgrade as Mavericks OS X 10.9.2. This is
based on build version specs, hardware limitation, and so on.

more information on your exact MacBook model build year etc.
The "About this Mac" as found under the Apple menu icon  is of

How to configure tuxedo to work on server having NAT

I want to my application to the tuxedo . from a remote location , the server on which the tuxedo is installed has a NAT on it . I have updated the WSl port and th IP in the tpinit properties file but still i wam unable to establish a connection to the tuxedo . Pease help me

When you connect to a Tuxedo application from a remote server, you need to take care of 2 things:
1. If there is a firewall between the client and the server, you need to open up the WSL port and ALL the WSH ports in the firewall.
2. If there is a NAT (either in the firewall or otherwise) between the client and the server, you need to use -H option with WSL. To understand this, briefly, this is how the work station connection in Tuxedo works -
- Client connects to WSL
- WSL assigns the client to a WSH, and returns WSH's port/address to the client.
- Client now uses the info received to connect to the WSH.
For this to work under NAT, WSL has to send NAT-ed address to the client. To make it send NATed address, you need to use -H option and give the translation information to WSL. If you dont, the address sent by WSL wont be a valid one for the client to connect to.

The Macs are bound to AD and can contact the servers without having to type your username and password everytime. I saw your URL links, But in your link give the recursive deployment using wlst. But my question is how to configure the oracle weblogic library files into Admin server & Managed Servers by using the wls.jar file through wlst script to create the new domain.
But if create the new domain by using GUI mode then we manually give the admin server port number & managed servers port number and name.
By default the library files are configured with the Admin server in GUI mode. But the Managed server the Library files are not configured with the Managed servers. Then we manually select all the library files to the corresponding managed servers. Then only the applications are deployed into the corresponding managed server.

How does automatic video detection work?

It used to be that, on my T400, when I would plug in an external monitor, the external would mirror that of my laptop. When I closed my laptop, the screen would automatically calibrate for the external monitor's resolution. And so on. I recently installed catalyst 9.8, and since then, the automatic switching no longer happens. I really have no idea how to go about re-enabling that automatic display detection that seemed to be happening earlier. I'd love to hear any ideas! thanks.

How does automatic client setup work in the clients connected to a standard leopard server ?
I used a standard leopard server and I was so happy about the automatic configuration of my leopard clients. Utility Directory setups all the applications in the right way.
Now I have an advanced leopard server and I have lost this option. Can I reproduce it in any way? (For example with terminal commands).
Any help is appreciated...

I did that to fidn out some data from dba_tab_modifications, but I m not sure that what timestamp shows, wether it shows for update,insert or delete time ?
