BEFW11s4 no ADMIN tab @ 192.168 screen

Have firmware 1.45.3 current. Want to update to most current 1.52.3.
All pages on site say if your screen does not look like "this" click HERE. That just takes me in a circle back again.
Have file downloaded and no way to update it. My router is the old style page, just has Advanced or Setup pages .
Help, am I stuck. I know it's old, still works.
Laptop with Vista (wireless) goes to local only, other computer (XP, wired ) neveer drops out. Logical to try next.
Thanks

What you need to do first is download the latest firmware for the router then save it to your desktop. Since your router is using an old firmware, the setup page might look diffrent. To upgrade the firmware on the router using the old setup page, go to Help> click Firmware Upgrade> browse firmware that you downloaded to your desktop and click upgrade if the upgrade is successful, then you need to reset the router then powercycle and then reconfigure.

  • No admin tab

I have been trying to set the\wep security and realized that there is no admin tab on the screen, thus no admin features are available. Has anyyone else run into this problem and how do you solve it?

Yes, I am aware of the need for the admin tab, that was the original question. Why it is not available?
Wireless-b broadband router with 2003 firmware that I cannot update because of an error in the downloaded file.
    Frustrated!!!

  • Admin does not work with the 192.168.1.1 address

I am trying to get my wii working with my router and I read the forum for it to work but the when I did the 192.168.1.1 address it asked me to put in the user name and password. I followed what is told me and put admin in as the password but it didn't work! Please help

The reason why the admin is no longer working as the router password because you might have setup a router password, not knowing, during the first time you setup your router...If you remember the router password when you first used your setup cd to install your router then enter that password else you need to reset your router and re-configure it...
To reset the router press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...

  • Bin file/admin tab

You advised to do the following to open a bin file:
Hardwire a PC directly to the router... open up Internet Explorer and type in 192.168.1.1 (username just leave it blank... password as a default is usually admin)... go to the administration tab... then go to firmware upgrade... click on the browse button.. look for the bin file you have downloaded... click on it... then open... and then hit the upgrade button... that should hopefully now upgrade your firmware...
Unfortunately, there is no administration tab when opened. Below is the menu I see.  SetupPasswordStatusDHCPLogHelp Advanced
    Thanks.

Oh... you seem to be using the old firmware.... go to www.linksys.com/downloads and choose BEFW11S4 v3... then download the set-up wizard... run it... it would then ask you for a server/password/file... for the server input 192.168.1.1 .... password is admin... file ... browse for the 1st file you downloaded... click on it... open and then hit upgrade...

  • Browser 192.168.1.1 Password and Username aren't working.

I'm trying to access all of the router options so I can open some ports up but no matter what combination I try for the User Name and Password, nothing works.  My router's model number is WRT54G2 and I am wired to it, not wireless.  I haven't messed with any of the settings so the deafults should work...but they don't.  I don't know what else to do.

Your User Name should be left blank, and the Password should be "admin"  (with no quotes).   If this does not work, and you do not remember setting any different password, then you will need to reset your router to factory defaults, and setup the router again from scratch.  If you saved a router configuration file, DO NOT use it.
To reset your router to factory defaults, use the following procedure:
    1) Power down all computers, the router, and the modem, and unplug them from the wall.
    2) Disconnect all wires from the router.
    3) Power up the router and allow it to fully boot (1-2 minutes).
    4) Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds, then release it, then let the router reset and reboot (2-3 minutes).
    5) Power down the router.
    6) Connect one computer by wire to port 1 on the router (NOT to the internet port).
    7) Power up the router and allow it to fully boot (1-2 minutes).
    8) Power up the computer (if the computer has a wireless card, make sure it is off).
    9) Try to ping the router. To do this, click the "Start" button > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt. A black DOS box will appear. Enter the following: "ping 192.168.1.1" (no quotes), and hit the Enter key. You will see 3 or 4 lines that start either with "Reply from ... " or "Request timed out." If you see "Reply from ...", your computer has found your router.
    10) Open your browser and point it to 192.168.1.1. This will take you to your router's login page. Leave the user name blank, and in the password field, enter "admin" (with no quotes). This will take you to your router setup page. Note the version number of your firmware (usually listed near upper right corner of screen). Exit your browser.
If you get this far without problems, try the setup disk (or setup the router manually, if you prefer), and see if you can get your router setup and working.
If you cannot get "Reply from ..." in step 9 above, your router is likely dead.  Report back with this problem.
If you get a reply in step 9, but cannot complete step 10, then either your router is dead or the firmware is corrupt.  Report back with this problem.
If you need additional help, please state your ISP, the make and model of your modem, your router's firmware version, and the results of steps 9 and 10. Also, if you get any error messages, copy them exactly and report back.
Please let me know how things turn out for you.
P.S.  Have you been running your router with no wireless encryption?  If so, then perhaps your neighbor wirelessly connected to your router (intentionally or unintentionally) and changed your password.

  • WRT110 192.168.1.1 connection problem

For some reason or another, I cannot connect to my router.  Its IP is the default 192.168.1.1.  For maybe the first minute or so after I turn the router on, I CAN connect to it, but then it just drops and I cannot get onto it any more.  What's going on and how do I go about fixing this?

To view the router's web pages:
You do not need an Internet connection. The router's "web pages" are built into the router.
Use Internet Explorer, it usually works.
    JavaScript must be enabled.
Use a computer that is wired to the router.
In the non-working computer, temporarily turn off your software firewall.
Point your browser to 192.168.1.1 , then login to your router. Your user name should be left blank. Your password is "admin" (with no quotes), unless you changed it.
If you are using Zone Alarm, right click on the ZA icon in the system tray (lower right corner of screen) and then click "Shutdown ZoneAlarm", and see if this fixes your problem. If this does not work, try the following with Zone Alarm: Open the ZAISS control center, go to Privacy, then temporarily turn off Ad Blocking and Cookie Control, and see if that fixes your problem.
Some Zone Alarm users have reported that adding 192.168.1.1 to their list of "trusted" addresses fixed the problem. This trick might also work with other firewalls.
If you are using Noton Internet Security with the Add-on Pack, be sure to turn off the Pop-up Blocker, and the Ad blocker. Some users have reported that they needed to uninstall the entire Norton Add-on Pack.
If you cannot get anything at 192.168.1.1 then perhaps this is not your router's address. Go to "Start" > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt.
A black DOS box will appear. Type in "ipconfig" (with no quotes), then hit the Enter key. Look at the "Default Gateway". Is it 192.168.1.1 ? Point your browser to the "Default Gateway", then login to your router.
If the above fails, disconnect your modem from the router, and try again. If this corrects your problem, then most likely you have a "modem-router" rather than an ordinary modem. Report back with this problem, and also state the make and exact model number of your modem (not the router).
If all of the above fails, power down your entire system, unplug it from the wall, wait one minute, then power up and try again.
If all of the above tips fail, then reset the router to factory defaults: Power down the router and disconnect all wires from it. Wait one minute. Power up the router, allow it to fully boot (1-2 minutes), then press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds, then release the button and allow the router to reset and reboot ( 2-3 minutes). Power down router. Wait one minute. Connect one computer, by wire, to a LAN port on the router. Boot up system. It should work.
If you still have trouble, then you need to download and install (or re-install) the latest firmware for your router. After the firmware upgrade, you must reset the router to factory defaults, then setup the router again from scratch. If you saved a router configuration file, DO NOT use it.

  • Blank pages on setup pages 192.168.1.1

I'm using a WRT54G ver 7 Router. Last night after i tried upgrading the firmware the basic setup pages shows up blank when ever i try to acess certain tab.Take the wireless tab for example i click on it the page turns up blank but it shows done at the right hand bottem corner of the window. Pls help.

After a firmware upgrade, you must reset the router to factory defaults, then setup the router again from scratch.  If you saved a router configuration file, DO NOT use it.  Do this, then try again to view the router's setup pages.  If this does not fix the problem, follow the tips below.
To view the router's web pages:
Use Internet Explorer, it usually works.
    JavaScript must be enabled.
Use a computer that is wired to the router.
In the non-working computer, temporarily turn off your software firewall.
If you are using Noton Internet Security with the Add-on Pack, be sure to turn off the Pop-up Blocker.
Check to see if your "modem-router" is using the same 192.168.1.x address space as your Linksys router. If it is, then report back with this problem, and also state the make and model of your modem-router.
If all of the above fails, power down your entire system, unplug it from the wall, wait one minute, then power up and try again.

I think the error is indicated in TUXLOG file "ERROR: Jolt client (ip address 192.168.196.102) does not have proper application password". The application password "myname" in Browser http://192.168.196.102:8000/ps/signon.html page is not working. I use the same password "myname" to login Data Mover Bootstrap mode, Application Designer, and Application Server psadmin configuration successfully. I have tried a few other passwords in Browser http://192.168.196.102:8000/ps/signon.html page but not working.
    My question is:
How to solve Sign In issue on http://192.168.196.102:8000/ps/signon.html that is "ERROR: Jolt client (ip address 192.168.196.102) does not have proper application password" ?
    Thanks.

    Dear Nicolas,
Hello. I have used the same password for "DomainConnectPswd" in the file Configuration.properties with that for Application Server setting. Eventually, UserID PSADMIN sign in http://192.168.196.102:8000/ps/signon.html successfully. PeopleTools 8.53 runs correctly in Browser.
It seems that whether upgrade Oracle Linux 5.0 to the latest 5.10 does not have effect !
I am very grateful to your great help for this installation of PT8.53 with Linux and Oracle Database !

  • BI Publisher ADMIN tab missing

I'm logging in as Administrator to BI Publisher, but the Admin tab is missing at the top of the screen.
When I log into Analytics as Administrator, and select Settings...Manage BI Publisher, I get this error screen:
"Reporting Login: Login failed: Please contact administrator for your username/password."
And although there is a link on that page that says "Details", clicking it simply returns "Error Codes: " with no further explanation or list of error codes.
If I select "Settings...Manage BI Publisher" again, the BI Publisher Enterprise screen opens without the error message, but also without the Admin tab.
Administrator is listed as a valid user under Settings...Manage Privileges...Manage BI Publisher.
    Any clues or thoughts?

Are you using BI EE security for BIP? If so, it sounds like you forgot to create the required BIP roles in your RPD before switching BIP over to use BI EE security. Go into your RPD and create a role called XMLP_ADMIN. Put administrator in that group. This should fix the immediate problem. There are 5 other groups required for this to work properly. You also need to setup a subject are called SA System.

    Folks,
I am unable to see the Admin tab in BI Publisher 10.1.3.4.1 in windows xp 32 bit. I am trying to login from OBIEE --> More products --> Bi Publisher.
If I try to reinstall BI publisher desktop It says you have already installed. All my OBIEE stuff works fine. I went through the link

*I looked at my {OracleBI}\xmlp\XMLP\Admin\Configuration\xmlp-server-config.xml file.*
    I don't have the SUPERUSER_PASSWORD and SUPERUSER_USERNAME lines.
my security model says as below.
    *<property name="SECURITY_MODEL" value="BI_SERVER"/>*
    I tied changing to <property name="SECURITY_MODEL" value="XDO"/> Nothing happens...!

How do I get the Admin tab in the BI publisher? Somebody help..

I was able to navigate within Admin tab. But, when I try to add any new jdbc data source or modify the demo data source's connection string the screen hangs. I have to kill the screen using alt+ctl+del from the task manager window.
Also, I can't access BI Publisher from MS word. When I try to login from Word It asks for report server. In the tutorial it says that we can access BI publisher only if BI desktop is successfully installed.
What is going on here? Somebody help me in setting up the JDBC data source.

The password is for Linksys Router login ..... try using the password you used while installing the router for the first time ....
if not then use admin as a password .... if that also not works then you have to reset the router ... after reset admin password will work ...

    Hi,
Modify the file xmlp-server-config.xml in \OracleBI\xmlp\XMLP\Admin\Configuration with the following contents and check.
    <property name="SUPERUSER_PASSWORD" value="Give Some Password"/>
    <property name="SUPERUSER_USERNAME" value="Admin"/>
    <property name="SECURITY_MODEL" value="XDO"/>
Restart OC4J and log in either with Administrator or the Admin id created above.
    I hope this will work
    Regards
    Raj

  • Oracle VM 3 - 192.168.1.0 is locked

    Hi there,
So I finally managed to create a virtual machine and whatnot ... but I'm so dumbfounded when it said "192.168.1.0" is locked. Can anyone please tell me what "locked" means ... there's nothing in the job log file ..

Reinstalling new version obiously fixed your issue, but your original issue was likely a job that was never-ending (Jobs tab) that could have been resolved by aborting the job.

  • Cannot connect to 192.168.1.1

I did a firmware upgrade on the BEFW11S4 yesterday and now I cannot access the web utility. I've tried ipconfig /release and /renew, but to no avail. I've also tried setting a static IP but that did not work as well. I did the firmware upgrade via wireless, and it gave me a success message after it was finished, but the router somehow lagged afterwards, so I did a reset on the utility and it connected. My internet connection is working fine, but I can't ping 192.168.1.1. My ipconfig returns:
    Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : nyc.rr.com
    IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 24.193.219.59
    Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.252.0
    Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 24.193.216.1
Any ideas? The default gateway should be 192.168.1.1 I've heard, but I have no idea how to set it without being able to communicate with the router.
I also did an IP scan on 192.168.0.* and 192.168.1.* and both returned all IP addresses in that range as dead.
    Thanks.

Hey based on your IP check, it seems you are getting an IP address from your modem or from another device. Those IP's that you listed are actually valid IP's but they are not IP's that a private device like a router would give out.

  • Can't connect to 192.168.1.1 EA6500 or the Internet

    Hi
Yesterday my router froze and wouldn't do anything, so I rebooted the router. When it got up and running again, I couldn't connect to the Internet. I got the error 502 - bad gateway.
    I can't connect to it at 192.168.1.1 or linksyssmartwifi.com. I can ping 192.168.1.1, but not 8.8.8.8.
    Ipconfig /all
    DHCP yes
    Ip 192.168.1.117
    Subnet 255.255.255.0
    Default gateway 192.168.1.1
    DHCP server 192.168.1.1
I've tried flushdns, release and renew and it seems that the DHCP server from the router is working.
In windows it seems that there are an Internet connection.
I don't understand this, I can't visit any websites, but Spotify works.
I'm afraid it's broken and I have to buy a new router. I've triede to reset the router.
I hope that some of you can might help me.

Try disconnecting the router from the internet (WAN port) and plugging a PC directly into one of the LAN ports. After resetting, ignore the smartwifi login, click the two checkboxes, and login manually/directly with the "admin" password and reconfigure.
If you don't want to do all that just yet, try accessing the router from the public IP address assigned by your ISP. That might work
