BEFW11S4 v2 cant get to web viewer

I have a BEFW11S4 v2 router.
I have reset it. (multiple times!! ha)
I have gone to 192.168.1.1
I have left the username blank
I have entered admin as the password
it doesnt allow me in
I am open to suggestions

Try to reset the router. The following reset procedure will clear out the NVRAM and set Router back to default values:
~~ With the unit powered on, press and hold the reset button on back of unit for 30 seconds
~~ Without releasing the reset button, unplug the unit and hold reset for another 30 seconds
~~ Plug the unit back in STILL holding the reset button a final 30 seconds....
When the lights on the router gets stable the check again whether it’s getting restarting or not..
Then you have to make the following physical connectivity:
The router’s power adapter needs to be plugged to your router and into an available power outlet.
If using a wired connection, the first Ethernet cable needs to be plugged to the computer’s LAN port into any of the router’s blue numbered Ethernet ports.
Then press the reset button seconds, turn off the router wait for 30 seconds and then power it on. Power light should blink when you perform the reset process.
After doing the following procedure open up the browser and on the address bar type 192.168.1.1 which will ask for default username and password. Then try to enter the default username and password and check whether it’s working or not.

I got a new modem and imac says connected with the airport, but cant get a web page to come up on either safari or firefox

I started having internet problems with all my devices in the house, ipod, imac, pc laptop, tablets, etc... found out after being on the phone with comcast for hours, they determined my modem that they supply was bad. So I have the new modem now and very simple to install it and get everything working. However, I cannot get online with a web browser of any sort on my imac. which had no issues before.
All my devices in the house work perfectly now with the new modem and my speeds are great, and even the imac (with the airporter) states it is connected. but I cant do anything pertaining to the internet. I have spent hours on the tech line with comcast and they cant seem to find the issue and said it is with my Imac, even though it was working fine before.
Does anyone have any ideas, is there simply something I'm missing, please help. As I stated before, everything else that we own works great and has great connection. and the Imac states it is connected, but mail, internet, non of that works...??????

Check out the articles below to troubleshoot your issues with getting a proper connection with Wi-FI. Try creating a new Network Location and join your network to see if you can get on that way.

URL scheme issues for v20 'web viewer'

Hello all,
I've recently created a multi-folio app with DPS, but I am having trouble with the 'Social Sharing' option. In the Viewer Builder, I enabled Social Sharing via email and Twitter, made selected articles unprotected via the Producer Builder, and made sure that the folios were not uploaded with PDF (pinch and zoom) images enabled.
However, when I test the link in my app, my desktop browser says that the webpage does not exist. Am I missing a step or a piece of the setup? I thought that the process would be automated, but I can't seem to get the web viewer to work with my content. Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated.

I downloaded Firefox 3.6 and now my tool bar is gone. No back arrows, forward arrows, file, edit, view, history, bookmark, tools....how do I get my web browser to look like a regular browser again?

I downloaded the new Mozilla web browser and I had a Bing homepage setting. I changed back to yahoo but I ever since downloading I dont have any back arrows, forward arrows, file, edit, view, history, bookmark, tools, address bar....how do I get my web browser to look like a regular browser again?

Once the menus are back, you can use the View menu, then select Toolbars and click on the names of the toolbars to toggle displaying them.

Web Viewer - getting buttons to open in a new tab or window

I am trying to get a button to open in a new tab or window in the DPS web viewer.
The options when creating a button are:
Open link in folio
Open link in device browser
Both which do not work when we export the web viewer.
I know it is possible as Adobe are using this function for their Inspire magazine. This does not seem to be html either that they are using. See link here - at the bottom of the page: Adobe Inspire Magazine October 2014: The Truth in a Face
Any help with this issue would be highly appreciated.

There is a parameter on creating the iFrame called externalLinksOpen. They can set it to 'window', as it defaults to inline, which opens it in the current window. It's documented here:

After ios5 upgrade cant get out to the internet via wireless, it wont get past our Smart Filter (web filter)

I just upgraded my 3GS to IOS5, and now at work when i am connected to our WiFi I can no longer get out to the internet.
A little back story on how it worked prior to ios5:
I would connect via wireless, and then load Safari and type in a webpage I wanted to go to. A pop up box would come up, to authenticate me on our Web filter server (Running Smartfilter), I woudl enter my regular Active Directory username and Password and boom, i could then surf to my hearts content.
After the upgrade, I connect to the wireless, load Safari, type in the webpage i want to go to, and the progress bar moves abotu 3mm and then stops, I never get the smart filter prompt.
I have tried a full reset on the phone, forget network, reset all network settings, I even tried putting in the IP address of the smart filter box as a proxy and still it doesnt work. I have gone to smartfilters website to see if anyone else has posted there, or if there was a clue as to why it doesnt work, but nothing so far.
anyone else having this problem? any ideas?
If it wasnt broken, why would apple mess with it! a LOT of companies run smartfilter as well as other web filters. I thought apple was trying to seduce corporate customers, and so far a lot of poeple are dissapointed that they cant get to the internet.

I am having the same problem. The issue also occurs with Safari on Mac OS 10.7. I work for a school and I am sure that other schools are using smartfilter too.

I already fixed the issue, it seems trhat in dreamweaver the fonts ttf , otf, etc must be in a folder named webfonts, and then dreamweaver connects the fonts stylesheet to the main stylesheeet with @inport.I had to unisntall the fonts from my windows and download them again and add tehm with dreamweaver add web fonts feature.

The link for the word 'HERE' directs to a Evergreen School District page, which outside of Mobile Me and/or Aperture. Your school district network might be intercepting the request from Aperture and displaying the 'network authentication page' that you see, instead of the email. I would get with the IT department to see if they can help you get around this.
Have you also tried using the 'Tell a Friend' feature from another network location, like starbucks or your home?

New client cant get ip from dhcp server (web authentication)

We have WLC 5508 with two SSID staff (vlan 58, PSK auth) and customer (vlan 48, web auth)
Recently, new client can connect to SSID staff without problem but It cant get IP when it connect to Customer SSID.
many other client ( smart phone, laptop) which connect for few week still connect to Customer normally.
DHCP server still have a lot of IP for wireless client.
We want to use firewall to make policy for Customer so we put gateway of vlan 48 on the firewall.
Please check the dubug client file.

The debug just shows a single DHCP Discover attempt when attaching to WLAN with VLAN 48 interface. It appears the client is simply not pulling an IP (not the WLCs responsibility), although you are using DHCP-Proxy.
Can you put a wired client in VLAN 48 on the same switch as the WLC and have a client pull an IP?

Many free wi-fi hotspots require that you register first - agreeing to their terms and conditions, etc. This is usually provided via a web page with Safari provided immediately after connecting. If the register page is provided via Flash, you won't see it and you won't be able to register.

AMsn and Yahoo cant get web cam to send or recieve

I recently did the security up date ending 003 and now i cant get my webcam to work with either aMsn or Yahoo, but it works fine with iCaht and Skype. Im using a Netgear DG834G v4 router, i have tried. Can anyone help as its really starting to annoy me now.

Safari 5.03 I can not get ANY web pages except APPLE to load Help please

Hello, I just downloaded thru software update Safari 5.03. I am using SL for OS on Macbook Pro.
Now literally when trying to go to ANY web page at all I get a bunch of " little squared letter A's on the entire web page.

THe only web page that works at all is Apple site where i can view an use this forum.

Quit Safari- then relaunch-- DID NOT work, I still have all "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" IN BOXES ON EVERY WEB SITE I TRY TO VISIT.
BUT AGAIN THE APPLE WEB SITE I AM ABLE TO TYPE YOU THIS MESSAGE. ONLY APPLE SITE WORKS
2. Also tried to turn off any extensions ( i did not have any but turned off-- DID NOT work
3. I did try to troubleshoot the safari plist file.
I looked at some of your prior posts and tried those plist attempts. I tried to move the com.apple.Safari.plist file from the preferences--AGAIN THIS DID NOTHING.
BUT......I tried this but not total solution. I went on my other mac--I opened Safari ( i think 4.03) but again another mac, I then went to Firefox web site and I COPY AND PASTED THE ACTUAL WEB SITE IN AND PUT IT ON A SMALL FLASH DRIVE--THEN COPY AND PASTED IT INTO THE ADDRESS WINDOW OF SAFARI 5.03, AND HIT RETURN-- IT THEN WENT TO THE FIREFOX WEBSITE AND IT VIEWED IT PROPERLY, SO I DOWNLOADED FIREFOX AND TRIED TO RUN FIREFOX.
AND LOW AND BEHOLD FIREFOX WORKS.
BUT I STILL CANT GET SAFARI TO WORK
again, i still get ON EVERY SITE USING SAFARI 5.03 " AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" capital "A"s in little boxes on every web site. Almost like some code is not being read correctly by Safari?

Is there a way of getting a "schedule view" in iCal on a mac and on iPad in the same way you can get one on iPhone?

IS there a way to get a schedule view of events on a busy day in iCal on the iPad 2 Air and on the Macbook Pro? I can get this view on an iPhone.

I am paranoid that some untrusted technician is going to make a copy of my music (11,000 tracks) or share some of my personal information (scanned copies of my birth certificate, passport, certificates, photos, etc.) on the web.
If you put your info into the computer and hand it to another, you have to assume they will copy everything.
Why are you putting scanned copies of valuable identity information into a computer than can be hacked, stolen, lost or compromised by a dirty tech?

Is there a way of finding out what activity has taken place whilst they've had it in their possession?
No. The tech would just deny it if he did, or tell the truth which the answer would be "NO" in either case.
The employer won't ask that sort of questions without solid proof, less they make a enemy of the employee and/or risk being sued for defamation of character.
It's not like they bother to have a team of people watching over his shoulder that he doesn't stick a USB thumb drive of your data into his pocket to take home.

If it's iTunes music, it has your personal ID embedded into the song files. Most IT techs know this though.
I appreciate any advice you guys can offer.
Too late now, all you can do is not worry about it.
Take your personal info out of the machine and if you need it, burn cd/dvd copies, a few USB thumb drives, Iron Keys or self encrypting external storage drives with key and/or keypad.
