BEFW11S4 v4 firmware/software HELP!

I have encountered blinking LEDs on my router.  I tried to download the firmware but it's formatted .bin.  I need the software to read this.  I have misplaced the disk and and working on a new computer from when I first got the router.  I can't find the software for download ANYWHERE, and I don't know how else to get the firmware to fix the blinking LEDs.  Please help me?

You do not need a software to read the bin file...
Follow these steps to upgrade the firmware on the device : -
Open an Internet Explorer browser page on a computer hard wired to the router...
In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1...Leave the Username blank & in Password use admin in lower case...
Click on the 'Administration' tab- Then click on the 'Firmware Upgrade' sub tab- Here click on 'Browse' and browse the .bin firmware file and click on "Upgrade"...
Wait for few seconds until it shows that "Upgrade is successful"  After the firmware upgrade, click on "Reboot" and you will be returned back to the same page OR it will say "Page cannot be displayed".
Now reset your router :
Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...

  • Aluminum Keyboard Firmware Software Update Issue

I keep getting the Aluminum keyboard firmware software update in Software Update. I install it, but then it shows up again. No matter how many times I install it, it does not go away. Any ideas?

Have you verified in System Profiler that your keyboard has the update installed? Is the stated firmware for your keyboard correct?
    For a wireless keyboard:
    Open System Profiler.
In the Hardware section of System Profiler, select Bluetooth.
Locate the keyboard in the list of Bluetooth devices.
Look in the Firmware Version field: If the version number is 321, the keyboard has been successfully updated.
    For a USB keyboard:
    Open System Profiler.
In the Hardware section of System Profiler, select USB.
Locate the Apple Keyboard in the list of USB devices.
Look in the Firmware Version field: If the version number is 0.69, the keyboard has been successfully updated.
If it is not correct, manually download the firmware update and install. If System Profiler says that it has been installed then go into Software Update and tell it to ignore that update.

  • BEFW11S4 Cutting out! Help?

Recently, I took a stab at hooking my Xbox 360 into the wireless network, but ran into a few problems. They looked like simple setting adjustments, nothing that would crash the network, I thought. The whole thing crapped out. The two computers we use wouldn't pick up the signal, nor would the Xbox. After some tinkering, the network's back up, everyone's connected, and the Xbox is wallowing in a pool of sultry unproductivity.
For reference, the devices on the network are:
    1. Powerbook G4, running 10.4.11
    2. A Toshiba (I think), running Vista
    3. & the Xbox 360
Also, the router is a Wireless-B, BEFW11S4, with firmware 1.52.02.
However, the signal drops out anywhere from 1 - 4 times a day. I have to unplug it each time to get it back up and going. Now, I know how to access the settings page and all that noise, but once inside, most of it is Greek to me.
So, any ideas? It's killing me to open up my computer and have it tell me, "No, get your **bleep** (haha! auto-edit!) up and reset the router. Then you can waste time."
    Thanks in advance.

May be you can do, when you Reflash the Firmware on your router, then you can login toyour router setup page, and change the wireless settings of your router.
    Click on the Wireless tab
-Here select manual configuration...Wireless Network mode should be mixed...
-Provide a unique name in the Wireless Network Name (SSID) box in order to differentiate your network from your neighbours network...
    - Set the  Standard channel to 11-2.462GHz...Wireless SSID broadcast should be Enabled and then click on Save Settings...
Please make a note of Wireless Network Name (SSID) as this is the Network Identifier...
    For Wireless Security : -
Click on the Sub tab under Wireless > Wireless Security...
Change the Wireless security mode to WEP, Encryption should be 64 bits.Leave the passphrase blank, don't type in anything...
Under WEP Key 1 type in any 10 numbers please(numbers only and no letters eg: your 10 digit phone number) and click on save settings...
Please make a note of WEP Key 1 as this is the Security Key for the Wireless Network...
    Click on Advanced Wireless Settings
Change the Beacon Interval to 75 >>Change the Fragmentation Threshold to 2304, Change the RTS Threshold to 2304 >>Click on "Save Settings"...
Now see if you can locate your Wireless Network and attempt to connect...

  • E66 Firmware update help

    Hi All,
My name's Ty and I'm from new Zealand.
Have a question to be helped please.
My Phone tells me I currently have the lastest firmware version. Problem is that I know there's been a new update to 200.something.somthing.
Because of my product code. Nokia Software updater won't allow me to get the new software version.
Can someone please tell me how I can get this new software version ...? The reason I need it is because it's proven that this new software update will allow me to pair my E66 to my BMW and " transfer the contacts over " ...
Any help will be appreciated ... I've already taken it back to the shop I got it from and they tried the same thing
expecting a different result .... their more stupid than me, as I told them I tried NSU already ...
    Thanks in  advance

Update availability is based on many things, including existing Nokia device firmware version, country, and operator. It may be due to one of these variables that your Nokia device isn't eligible for updates.
Please note that your mobile service provider, operator, or carrier may not have approved the latest Nokia device firmware available.
Nokia produces many different variants of each product (for different countries and languages) and not all variants have the latest Nokia device firmware. New software may become available at a later date, however, so please check again soon.

  • Nokia E72 firmware/software update

    Hi all,
I am having problems in opening the Gallery contend: sound, pictures, videos....as soon as I try to open it, it stays as opening and after an hour of "opening", I have to remove the battery.
I did twice hard reset. Formatted the memory card, and twice reinstalled the firmware 053.001 using Nokia software updater, still having the same problem.
Firmware version is 053.001, E72-1, RM530. I cannot update to any recent firmware, it says that the phone is up to date.
I do not understand the way this update works, some gets it some not. I think that any firmware is, or must be and improvement of the function of the phone for all!
I would like to update to the latest one, or at least the 081.003 which I have on different E72 and works well enough.
    Any help is welcome

I see now, a bit of google search and found out what debarnding means:
"De-branding basically means removing the firmware set by the operator,
and replacing it with the manufacturers original firmware. Hence
converting your phone to the full spec as it was intended by the
manufacturer. (the way it should be)
...Once your mobile has been de-branded, you will notice all the menu
systems are clearer, un-restricted, and often faster too. The process
will also install the latest firmware to date, which will hold
improvements on your old firmware. This often removes any software
faults & bugs that your phone previously had."
So, the 0591365 = E72 RM530 E-Plus DE Zodium Black Free Navi - V2 - MR, the only firmware available is 53.1 this gap to the latest one 91.4 is missing, the operator just stopped supporting it.
    ...If I am not wrong.
This phone I bought it from eBay and, and needs a new firmware, at least a better one, this one is not working well.
Maybe this is the reason was sold.

  • E60 (type 0540021) firmware/software upgrade blues

    Hi,
I purchased an E 60 in Australia (of type 0540021) so that, among other reasons, I did *not* have to take my phone in for firmware upgrades.
These forums are replete with entries talking about higher versions of the software than the version my phone is running (1.0610.02.15) yet the Nokia Software Upgrade tool claims there is not a newer version available.
Following advice in the forum I put the phone into Nokia Care Morley to find that they also are of the opinion that there are no more recent versions available.
Come on Nokia! I purchased this phone to take advantage of the advertised features NOW, not when Nokia see fit to make them available.
Also, is there a sound technical reason why my model cannot use the more recent firmware revision or is it just some kind of digital certificate that makes them unusable on my phone?
    Thanks,
    Denys Williams

I don't have any answers for you but I do sympathise!
I am in the same position also, have a UK variant E60 on the same firmware as yourself - 3 months down the line and there is no upgrade available through the NSU or from Nokia service centre - Nokia won't help and their communication is **bleep**!
I have purchased this phone SPECIFICALLY to use the VOIP and Mail for Exchange facility but can't until Nokia sort out their firmware for my product version of E60 - its really frustrating as a colleague has an OLDER E60 with the latest firmware running Mail for Exchange and has the VOIP - *!*!*!*!*!**
Good luck with your patience - mine has nearly run out!

  • Firmware Password Help

I just got my imac and set everything up. The first thing I did was instaleed the optional xtools add on from the installation disc. I wanted to setup a firmware password but couldn't find the option (in previous versions I used open firmware.) I found a folder that xtools installed titled, "Apply firmware password". Inside it it contained a pkg directory which I opened and ran "Firmwarepassword.pkg". It did an install but nothing happened. I then ran two files (not knowing what they were) in the same directory, "ApplyFirmwarePassword.xcodeproj" and "ApplyFirmwarePassword.action." I later discovered that these tools are used (from what I understand) to automatically set firmware passwords on computers (for network admin setting up large number of computers." I then did some more research and discovered that if you boot from the CD you can set the firmware password. So I reboot the computer from the install CD and it asked me for a firmware password. The password must have been inadvertently set from the files I mistakingly ran. It must be a default password that the script has. I don't know what it is. Can any one help?

I called apple tech support and they keep telling me that their is no software method of resetting the firmware password. They said I should bring in to an Apple store. I called the Apple store and was told that I would have to make and appointment and that making an appointment does not guarantee what time I would be seen. They said it is just like a doctor's office. So, I searched and searched the net for possible solutions.
Apparently, pre-Intel processor machines used Open Firmware and post-Intel machines use Extensible Firmware Interface (EFI). All of the possible solutions only involved Open Firmware. I called a service center (not an Apple store) and talked to a tech. He advised me to do the following:
    1. Turn off the computer.
    2. Change the ram configuration (in my case a pulled out 1 dimm of ram).
    3. Hold down Option + Command + P + R and turn on the computer.
    4. Keep holding down the above keys. The computer will start up and keep restarting. Once it has restarted itself 3 times then release the keys and it will boot up normally.
    5. Turn off the computer and replace the ram.
    6. The firmware password is now removed you can set it to whatever you wish.
I followed his instructions and it worked like a charm. Another unrelated problem I had was that when I turned on my computer a couple of days later I only got a gray screen. It would not boot up, allow me to boot to a cd, or even show the apple icon on the screen. It just was gray. If this happens, shut down the computer and disconnect everything from it (i.e. power, keyboard...everything.) Wait two minutes and then plug everything back up and restart. This fixed the problem for me. I haven't had any problems since. Hope this helps someone.

  • Need to update software - Help please? :/

So, I have a Nokia C3-00. My current software details are:
    V 03.61
    05-08-10
    RM-614
    (c) Nokia
I know that this version is way out of date because I bought it years ago, and have never updated it.
I think the current version is now 7.20 or something like that. Don't quote me on it
Anyways, when I run the Software Update through OVI Suite, it just says that my current software
is up to date. I read somewhere that this phone is supposed to have WLAN settings, and mine has
no such thing. So I can't check for updates via my phone, considering I cannot access the internet.
Is there any way that I can download the newest version through my PC and update my phone manually?
I don't know if I'm missing something here, and I just sound stupid right now. But I would appreciate all the help I can get. Thank you.

In fact the latest version is v08.70
..but since the Nokia Suite doesn't show any availability and you don't have internet access thru' the phone there is nothing that you can do yourself.. You may ask your local Nokia care which can be found thru' this link whether they can help you.
BTW, Availability of update depends on Region / Product Code and also, for Network locked devices, update is possible only after an approval from the Operator ..
