Beginner for Apps DBA!

Hi All,
sorry if posting on different thread.
I've been a Oracle DBA from last 2 yrs. Completed OCP and wants to do a Apps DBA course.
Basically i dont know anything about Apps DBA. i'm Willing to Join Oracle University course for Apps DBA PROFESSIONAL.
Is this a good choice for beginnesr like me. B'coz i dont have any material of Appss DBA. I'm reading Online material as well. gone through the websites like
teachmeoracle.com,onlineappsdba.com etc. getting some idea but little puzzeled.
What should be the best way to start with?

Simple and stupid question for apps dba

hi
i have configured RAC 11gR2 on a C2D machine(just two nodes are there only) at home with 10gR2 db.its just a home configuration.
As i am newbie and freshly starter,i want to install EBS R12 just to practice Some apps DBA stuff with that clusterware + 10g db.
is there anything wrong?can i do that?
which EBS R12 package to download for minimal configration for just practice stuff?
any starter guide for this installation on linux OEL 5.4 x86_64??

I am looking to for Oracle Apps DBAs how are running Oracle Apps on a Microsoft windows platform to chat with and compaire notes.Oracle E-Business Suite certified on windows platform. But if you want my experience about windows and Ebs, I strongly suggest prefer to use linux(OEL or RHEL) or unix(Oracle Solaris) instead of Windows.
PS:I have already client which is having EBS R12 on Win2003 server

Error when running clone for app tier

Has anyone seen this? I'm getting the same error on each tier (seperate servers). I get a hit on Metalink but it does not match my situation. It states I'm missing a tag in the source context file but it is there. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Role of Apps DBA in Implementing New Module

Hi Friends,
Supposing a company has a running smooth production system of EBS 11i. With modules
FINANCIALS(GL,AR,AP,FA,CM) in it. Then the Company want to add another module HR system. Is an Apps DBA needed in the scenario? or only the SysAdmin and Functional
Consultant only.
What is the role of an AppsDBA in implementing a new module?

It is the responsibility of both the System Administrator and the Apps DBA. If you need to change the status of HR module to fully installed, then you need to change the status from shared to fully installed (in case it is shared). You will also need to run DataInstall and apply hrglobal.drv driver using adpatch.

"which career will be . . . easy to learn"
Since "easy" and "least work" seem important to you, I'd suggest a career in something besides IT. I could make some specific suggestions but run the risk of insulting people who work in those areas.
