Beginner question: can't get same view as David Power's tutorial

I am following the adobe website tutorial written (very well) by David Powers.

I am on part 2. Step 1 is make sure the Check Magazine site is selected in the Files panel (see Figure 2).
The figure shows the files panel having a button at the top with the Check Magazine site selected, and with a button "local view" to the right of it, and various toolbar buttons immediately below it. In the file list (explorer?), it has a green folder "Site - Check Magazine..." with green subfolder images, and the news and text files.
When I open Dreamweaver (CS 5), my files panel does not look like that. Instead it has a button at the top that says "Local Disk (C:)", and instead of the button to the right of it, it has a link "Manage sites", In the file list mine has drive C at the top, with all of it's folders under it.I can find and select the "Check Magazine" folder created in the tutorial part 1, with it's contents, and click on news.html which opens it in dreamweaver, but the panel does not change from the above description.
I have tried for an hour to find out what is wrong or try to figure out something to try. I can't proceed with the tutorial.

Netbeans just runs (Apache) Ant (3 MB or so if you don't include the documentation) so you can can try to see if that fits and run it from the command line. If it doesn't you'll have to run javac/java from the command line yourself.

How can I get Disco Viewer to remember the user's final filtered worksheet?
Each time the users login they have to make several operations (drillings, pivots, etc) to get their reports customized as they want. I wonder if is there a chance I could configure Disco Viewer in order to remember the last worksheet layout, and set it as the initial worksheet the next time the user login?

Once your users have customised the report to their requirements, they can add the URL of final data diaplay screen to their favourites menu in the browser.
Next time they want to run the same report, they can access the URL saved into favourites, they'll just need to enter their password to run the report when prompted.
I know that this works with Oracle Applications user id's, and that the URL "remembers" User Name, Oracle Apps Responsibility, Workbook Name, and Paramteters Used, Table Layout Customisations, and Page Item selections... so in theory it should record Drill information too.

What kind of solution are you looking for alexandrescotti? other than the obvious fact that you dropped it and it's not working? There is no solution for hardware problems, only going and getting them fixed. If you dropped the phone and it stops functioning correctly after versus it stops functioning correctly from nothing, it's a little obvious as to why.
If you didn't drop your phone and it's not working then go to an Apple store and have them take a look at it. If you dropped your phone and it's not working you can try and bring it back to get fixed, but if it's showing signs of physical damage they most likely aren't going to fix it, but you can give it a try anyways.

Can you get month view on iphone with OS7?

Can you get a month view with ical on iphone with IOS7? I can on my iPad still. I need to be able to look at several calendars on one screen and see where a free slot is in a month and I can't see anyway of doing this now as the month view just shows a date and then you have to go in to it. Hi. Thanks. I've tried that but it's not solving my problem! I want to quickly check 3 or 4 days in a month and see if I availability at different times. The month view makes this easy but I can't see a away of doing it without checking a day at a time and hoping I can remember when I was free on the previous day I checked!! Eg. Someone gives me 3 days to choose from for a meeting. Month view enables me to see all the dates immediately.

Can't get album view in genius mixes to work right

Hi - I'm not sure what is going on but I can't see the list or cover view while in Genius mixes. Also, some of the album covers are showing up and some not. But - I can't see what the mix is as the list won't show up and that makes the Genius mix not worth using if I can't even see what Itunes is selecting for me.
I tried looking in the view menu but no help.

You don't get list view or cover view with the mixes. You can always submit this as a request to Apple at:

Are you talking about in iTunes? When you select that individual song in the main "music" section and pull up "Get info", do you see the artwork in the artwork tab?
Or is it ok in iTunes and is the problem just on your mobile device? If so, which one.
I can't see what the mix is as the list won't show up and that makes the Genius mix not worth using if I can't even see what Itunes is selecting for me.
You can pull it up in DJ if you want, and that gives you a glimpse of what's in there, but only a max of a 100 songs. But, frankly, it sounds like the lack of visibility into genius mixes are sufficiently annoying for you that you might want to consider not using it. Use plain old genius playlists (select song, hit , save it as a playlist): That behaves more like it sounds like you want.

Can't get the view function to work properly...

For some reason, I no longer can get the VIEW function to do what I want. Specifically, everytime I try to get ARTIST to show, it shows ALBUM BY ARTIST instead. This does NOT happen in my downloaded file, only in the entire library. Anyone else have this happen to them? Please advise.

In the Masked Artwork folder go to a photo with the keyword "food". Does it have a check mark at food?
I have had situations where the photo had the keyword printed under the title, but the check mark is not present. A search with that combination for the keyword yields "no image found".
Go to bottom of your keywords panel and look under Other Keywords. Is Food there and checked? If so you can right click on this keyword and Find will work. If you have the type of situration where keyword has no check mark in your tree, except for at Other, I found you have to delete them and then re-enter them. It will then work.

You're running an old version of Safari. Before troubleshooting, try updating it to the latest version: 6.0. You can do this by clicking the Apple logo in the top left, then clicking Software update.
You can also update to the latest version of OS X, 10.8 Mountain Lion, from the Mac App Store for $19.99, which will automatically install Safari 6 as well, but this isn't essential, only reccomended.

Beginner question: Can I apply one formula to all cells in a column?

Hi,
I'm new to spreadsheets, so apologies for asking what is probably a very simple question.
I want to apply a formula that divides the values in one column (W) by values in another (AX) for a table containing 3000 rows, and outputs the result for each row into the appropriate cell in the new column I've created.
Numbers 09 'help' hasn't helped to this point.

Besides Numbers '09 Help there are two other useful resources available in the Help menu: the Numbers '09 User Guide and iWork Formulas and Functions Help.
For "Beginner questions," my first choice would be the User Guide. For the specific question you asked, a quick scan of the chapter on "Using Formulas and Functions" (pp 83-96) will provide some useful information. Start in the neighborhood of page 93.

How Can I get v1.52 of "ThinkPad Power Management driver for Windows"?

The subject says it all: How can I get v1.52 of the "ThinkPad Power Management driver for Windows Vista, XP, 2000, Me, 98 SE - ThinkPad" driver? Since installing v1.53 I've been experiencing screen issues (screen goes dark, and it's very hard to get the screen brightness back to normal) that seem to be tied to my T40p entering sleep mode / turning off the screen.
I want to see if reverting back to v1.52 fixes these problems.

Can't get rid of my high power consumption (Thinkpad X60 Tablet)

This is really driving me nuts. On Windows 7, I can achieve a power consumption of around 11-12W (with moderate web surfing usage over WLAN and full screen brightness, just Aero turned off).
On Arch, I can't get below 13W *ever* with full screen brightness, even without WLAN and any kind of computer usage besides running X11. And normal moderate web surfing usage (without Flash, mind you) brings it up to at least 17W.
The reason for this, I believe, is a really high number of wakeups from idle. powertop shows me at least 40 wakeups per second even when I don't have anything running besides X11. If I have Firefox, Thunderbird and Pidgin running, this climbss to at least 80 wakeups per second. Powertop shows the main cause for the wakeups in both cases to be "acpi" and "extra timer interrupt", as well as "Reschedulin interrupts". With those three applications running, there is additionally a high usage of "hrtimer_start_range_ns (tick_sched_timer)" and "iwl3945" (well, I guess the latter figures for internet applications).
I'm running laptop-mode-tools for power management, btw.
Anyone got some idea of what causes those idle wakeups, and how I might be able to fix it? I don't see why Windows 7 should be better than Arch here, the bloated monstrum it is...

The issue with hrtimer_start_range_ns is existing for a while. Unfortunately it isn't fixed until today. There is an entry in the kernel bugtracker http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14424
I think this is the main reason for the short battery life of my Samsung NC10 . If you google for it you will find numerous posting in bugtrackers of various distributions but no one seems to really care or know how to fix this?
