[beginner] What is service orchestration ?

Hi all !
I'm doing my University thesis on BPM.
I'm reading that modern BPM like jBoss's jBPM use BPEL for service orchestration.
It's not clear to me how can I archieve -in practice- service orchestration.
Should I "transform" all tasks of the Workflow in Web Services ?
So that when I start the Workflow multiple web services are called ?

In one of my program, I need to find, my Operating System details from java code.. ofcourse I can get OS type and version by System.getProperties().., But especially I need to get what the service pack is installed.. SP1 or SP2.. Can anyone tell me how can I get that info..

Transaction Handling option of ccBPM could be considered as one of the service orchestration option. If you are talking about the modelling related service orchestration through BPEL, then it could be designed in ARIS as shown

What iCloud services work on an Android device?

Hi
thinking about buying an additional Samsung Galaxy III end of this month, everything is set up on Apple devices at home, so I was wondering:
What iCloud services work on a properly set up Galaxy, if other family members of mine have an iPhone running?
- iCloud Mail = check (I suppose)
- iCloud Calenders (several? synching accross several calenders?)
- iCloud address book?
iTunes should be able to synch with a third party software... so I won't ask that question...

In the respective purchase order, the field for overdelivery tolerance (EKPO-UEBTK) in the item detail is not set to 'unlimited'. This field must always be set to 'unlimited' for purchase orders for external services. The reason for this is that services are always managed with the unit of measure 1 SU on item level, that is, if this 'unlimited' flag is not set on item level, only one service entry sheet can be created. For the second, the above message is then displayed as the quantity 1 SU is now exceeded.

A service level agreement defines the maximum level of service that could be available to a customer. The two profiles that are used to define SLA are response profile(maximum time taken to respond to a compliant) and service profile(time taken to solve the issue)

I am wondering what Azure service would be best for my new application. I need to have an SQL database that I can connect to and modify from both a website and a mobile app preferably WP8 and Android. I was not really understanding whether I would need a
mobile service or normal SQL database. Which should I use or am I completely off track?

Mobile Services uses SQL Database, nothing special on that SQL Database, its just like any other "normal" SQL Database.
Mobile Services provides "back-end services" that simplifies accessing SQL Database, Notification services, authentication, etc...
Let's assume you don't use Mobile Services, to use SQL Database, you would need your app (both mobile and web) to connect to the database. In practice, you will not want to expose your SQL database directly, so you'd end-up writing some kind of a "facade"
that your app will access instead of directly connecting to the database.
Instead of writing that "facade", Mobile services provides that for you (you still have to write code though, but less than what you need to write if you're rolling your own).
Both your web app and mobile apps can share the same SQL database (pay attention to the mobile service schema).
To help you decide, ask yourself what other features will your mobile app require? Authentication? Notification? etc... are you prepared to write those on your own or use various libraries instead of one?

No, essiantials is just a two day high level overview. The 5 day training is in-depth training on the SOA suite. I advice to do 5 day training.

What Web Services application I can make for our school

I am now making my final thesis project which named "Web Services", the objective of our project is to learn about Web Services and then make an application for our school.
Though we have learnt lots of theories about Web Services, except deploye some simple services on certain server for instance using Axis, we still have no idea about what Web Services can do and how to implement it in a real case.
Our school has several kinds of students(Electronics, Bio, EM,and etc.), what the school aready has are: An existing database contains all the imformation of students and interrelated information of courses, professors. And there outside is an Extranet, forming of jsp pages providing different information and functions to different users, for instance an ICT student, after sign in with his user name and password , can check his personal course schedule, query his reasult sheet, read emails, join in some discussions of activities and courses and etc.
So is there anyone can give me some tips on what application we can do for our school? And If the infomation I mentioned above is not enough, please do not hesitate to tell me,
It's urgent since we have to finish the whole thesis project before June!

What Apps & Services Can I Turn OFF Safely?

I looked in on what was currently running on my BIONIC. There had to have been 20 or more apps or services running. Whenever I attempted to turn off any service or close an app, I'd get a message saying that if I close, or stop this app or service, my phone is going to start acting erratically (or something similar).
What's up with that? I know that every one of the "currently running" in the list were not essential to just use my phone and connect to a WI-FI?
So, does anyone know what essential services and apps should stay running, just to get basic services (as mentioned above). I believe these things were killing my battery and eating my RAM.

Here is a list of things that would be safe to turn off, if you are able to turn any of them off. Not saying you can, just saying these things shouldn't affect your phone's essential functions...
