Behavior not working in IE 7

I'm new to dreamweaver and I designed my website,
scottbraman.com, using layers in with dreamweaver mx. I use the
hide and show behavior for thumbnail triggers, and rollovers. The
nav bar across the top works intermittently with IE 7 on a pc, on
my mac it works fine. They also work with safari and firefox
without a problem. Any ideas?

Hello Roger,
I suppose you are not talking about slide video but an inserted video, what were the settings (streaming or pointing to the file)?
About testing: did you ever try Browserlab:
https://browserlab.adobe.com/en-us/index.html#
Cannot give you a lot of info about it, has been a while since I used it but wanted to offer this tip anyhow.

  • Default button behavior not working with melting group

    Hi,
    I just realize that the default button behavior, i.e. fill out form and press enter without clicking on the actual button, does not work if one or more input form elements are in a melting group. This is a bug, right? I'm using CE7.1 SP5.
    Regards,
    Kevin

    Hi Dharmi,
    I define a button as default, fill out the inputfields  and press enter on the last one. As soon as I put this one in a melting group and press enter, the action of the default button is not triggered anymore. I can press enter in another field which is not in a melting group and the form is submitted correctly.
    I just noticed that if the button is in a melting group (with or without an input field) it doesn't work either.
    Can you reproduce this behavior?
    Best regards,
    Kevin

  • Open Browser Window behavior not working in IE6 Win

    Using DW 8 on Mac and can't get this Open Browser Window
    behavior to work in IE 6 on a Windows machine. Any
    suggestions?

    This page is a GoLive page, and it throws a js error when it
    loads because
    of some of the GoLive code you have left therein.
    I see that link as orange in IE6. And when you click on the
    link, you throw
    another js error, because the function (MM_openBrWindow) is
    not defined on
    the page - which is what causes the link to open in a
    full-size browser
    window. If it were not for that js error, you would get TWO
    windows opening
    since you have BOTH a link and the behavior, and the behavior
    is not
    'killed' with a return false, like this -
    <a href="aptapp.html" class="override"
    onClick="MM_openBrWindow('aptapp.html','QualifyforFREEMOVE','scrollbars=yes,width=760,hei ght=800');return

  • Open Browser Window behavior not working

    Just getting started with DW from GL - have successfully imported a few sites into DW from GL and am having trouble getting the Open Browser Window behavior to work. Worked fine in GL, code is similar but different. Have tried different things and am out of ideas. I'm not too code-savy.
    Here's where the non-working behaviors/actions are: http://www.philasecurities.com/data/luncheon.html
    When a user clicks on the red "more..." links they should open a new browser window like they do in the "Click
    here for previous years..." section.
    Any help would be appreciated!

    bregent, thanks for your input but unfortunately most of that's greek to me. Could you either supply me with sample code for one of these links or explain what I'm doing wrong in the design mode? I've followed DW instructions and as far as I can tell I'm doing what I'm supposed to in the behaviors tag inspector. Not sure about some of the settings I should have when browsing for the linked file to open in the new browser window. What should the parameters be set to? What should the relative link be set to, document or site root? How about some of the other options like Select file name from: data sources, server, site root? I've messed with them and tried different combinations but nothings working for me.

  • Grow/Shrink Behavior Not Working

    I created 5 separate DIVs/Images using the grow/shrink behavior. The behavior worked on the computer I initially created them on, when I got home, the behaviors are still setup, but don't work in either the LiveView, Preview in Browser or when the new files are uploaded to the server.
    When I check the source code, the behavior is there as well.
    http://www.typea-sports.com/index.html (the five images are supposed to grow from 25% of their size to 100% at different speeds.
    I'm using version CS4.
    Any ideas on why?
    Thanks,
    Peter

    You need to upload the script file to the server:
    <script src="SpryAssets/SpryEffects.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
    That is in your code but not on the server.

  • Snap to Grid behavior not working?

    I recently upgraded from CS3 to CS6. To my eyes, Illustrator's Snap to Grid functionality is either broken—or I'm not understanding a (new?) option.
    Use case: I set-up a grid with 1/8" spacing. I paste a 1/2" x 1/2" object from another file, or just copy and paste an existing one in the same file. I want it to sit, say, 2" from the top, and 4" from the left edge. In CS3, I could just use the arrow keys on the keyboard to move the object around, and its edges would precisely snap, as expected, to the grid, with no muss or fuss. If it was an uneven size, the edges would snap, making it easy to at least align the left and top edges (for example) where I want the object to sit.
    In CS6, this really just plain doesn't work—either with arrow keys, or moving the object with the mouse. The objects are always—ALWAYS—some fraction "off" in one direction or another. And yes, I know it sounds like the Snap to Grid is off, but it's not. The object moves by increments of the grid (1/8" in my example), but the object is not grid-aligned, and cannot be made to be. I can arrow-key the object all over the workspace and it won't snap properly. The only way I can find to accurately position the object is open the Transform dialog, and enter the measurements by hand.
    Quite honestly, that's a pain in the butt, and it's made literally everything I do in Illustrator take roughly twice as long. This is improvement?
    I am hoping I "just don't get it." That there's an option mis-set somewhere in here. Maybe it's related to moving from Windows on CS3 to Mac on CS6, who knows. What I do know is I'm starting to hate Illustrator every time I have to fire it up these days.
    Anyone else see this? Anyone have any idea how to fix it? File a bug report?
    ADDED:  In playing with this just after my original posting, it appears that the described issues occur only with groups of objects. For example, a 1/2" x 1/2" icon composed of a square for its outer dimensions, with some other stuff layed on top, then grouped, and moved as a whole. (Although whether it's grouped doesn't actually seem to matter—an ungrouped, multi-select of the same sort behaves the same way.)

    Use Preview Bounds didn't help, but your raster effects question got me wondering... I am using a rounded corner effect in every instance where I have observed this. At least with a couple of quick tests, removing the rounded corner effect via the Appearance panel seems to have kicked it into expected behavior. Interesting.
    I'd still make a case that this is a bug, and to the best of my recollection, it is NOT how it worked in CS3; I use the rounded corner effect pretty regularly... I would certainly have noticed this "in the old days."
    Thanks for the clue. I'll find a way to deal with this knowing where the issue seems to be. I also just filed a bug report on it; I feel strongly that it is one.

  • 'Get URL' Behavior not working in IE?

    Hi, I've never had issues with adding a simple link to a
    button. However, with IE7 my Get URL behavior won't seem to work in
    IE. I'm including the new AC_Active_Content.js now that spits out
    with the published files and it still doesn't seem to work.
    Please confirm what code I should be using for a button link
    and where it should go (action or behavior?)
    Anybody know what's up?
    Thanks

    Thanks. I was actually wondering the differences between AS2
    and 3. I guess that's one of them.
    Anyway, that worked. I just used AS2 and put this into the
    Action window:
    on (release) {
    getURL("
    http://www.url.com");
    Thanks a lot for the help.

    Hi,
    Promoted Links lanuch behavior -"dialogue" is not working. page-navigation and new tab is working fine.Only issue with Dialogue. i am getting the follwing error when i am selecting dialogue.
    Please guide me on this.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    From your description, my understanding is that you get error when you create a new item and choose “Dialog” launch behavior in promoted links app.
    I am not sure which link do you post in your Promoted Links, you could find that not all pages/sites work with dialog launch behavior from this article:
    https://speelco.wordpress.com/2013/09/17/promoted-links-your-links-in-sharepoint-2013/

  • AutoSuggest behavior not always working

    Hi everyone,
    JDeveloper 11.1.1.5.0
    I know how vague the title sounds, sorry for that :-)
    We want to implement autosuggest behavior on a simple input text. While this simple task seems to work on a normal page, it doesn't so with the structure of pages, templates, regions and taskflows we have in place.
    To simplify our test case, we base the autosuggest behavior on a simple managed bean method that always return a static list of selectItems.
        public List handleAutoSuggest(FacesContext facesContext,
                                      AutoSuggestUIHints autoSuggestUIHints) {
            // Add event code here...
            List<SelectItem> returnList = new ArrayList<SelectItem>();
            returnList.add(new SelectItem("Item 1"));
            returnList.add(new SelectItem("Item 2"));
            returnList.add(new SelectItem("Item 3"));
            return returnList;
        }   <af:inputText label="Enter Data" id="it1">
        <af:autoSuggestBehavior maxSuggestedItems="10"
                                suggestItems="#{testAutoSuggestBean.handleAutoSuggest}"/>
      </af:inputText>The effect that we see is that when we put the input text field on our application pages, we only see the rolling image indicating that the data is fetched,
    but we never see the list.
    I've tried the following:
       * Created a page with the input text and autosuggest behavior on. When running the page directly, everything works
       * Added the page on the taskflow, of the original application, as default action. We see the running image, but no list
       * Created a taskflow with the page. Added the taskflow on the page as a static region. Everything works
       * Added the taskflow on the page as a dynamic region, again we don't see the list
       * Created a new application trying to reproduce, without success
    Does anyone know how to best tackle this problem?
    Thank you in advance.
    Filip Huysmans

    Hi ADF7,
    thanks for the links. I had read them already before posting this threat.
    It is not that the autosuggest is not working, it just doesn't work on the pages we are using.
    If we put our component on a new empty page, it all works.
    I believe that it is a combination of templates and dynamic regions, that causes the issue.
    But I've no idea on how to investigate this.
    At one point I thought it was due to the dynamic regions, so I created a seperate project just to test this. But in the other project everything works.
    Any pointers on how to find out an issue like this?
    Thank you in advance.
    Filip Huysmans

  • Behavior does not work after clip reposition

    I create a title layer (Layer1) and add three behaviors (Grow/Shrink, Fade In/Fade Out and Spin) to it. Works perfectly. Then I make a copy of this layer (Layer2)  apart of the Layer1. This one also works. But after I shitf Layer2 on timeline to make it partially superimposed with Layer1, Spin behavior stops to work for Layer2. It does not work even after I turn the layer back to its initial position. Any ideas, why does it happen?

    I advocated the FF 20 Beta 4 because it worked perfectly the first time I invented the fix and tried it. I remembered specifically that the problem started with FF21 and so I decided at last to go back to the last version that I KNEW worked. I was 100% on the mark, in my case at least.
    I tried everything, and I am quite methodical about what I do. The FF 20 Beta 4 fix works perfectly for me. The hardware acceleration checkbox does nothing for the problem.
    I put up with this major pain in the butt for too long and finally solved it for myself. I am a happy camper now with my fix.
    That said, are you telling me that FF 23 has fixed the bug? That would be great!
    I am very busy right now, but when I get a chance, I will try it and post back my results.
    Anyone else trying the beta 23, please report back.
    As to your Java question, I'm not sure there is a connection at all. I just decided that if I was going to do a clean FF 20 b4 install, I wanted Java stripped out and reinstalled too. Let me say that I stripped out Java several times in the last couple months to address the freeze, but it didn't help.
    IMO, Firefox itself was the problem
    FF20b4 - no problem, and I'm happy as a clam now.

  • Exporting Crystal Report to HTML is not working in Windows 7

    Hi Sir,
    I am trying to export Crystal Report to HTML format using VB.NET code. Functionality is working fine at Windows XP Environment (Save to Disk, Open an Application and Email Attachment). But the same functionality is not working at Windows 7 Environment (both 32-Bit as well as 64-Bit).

    It looks like inheritance is broken in the component hierarchy for JFrame in Windows 7 JDK 1.6.0_23-b05. The only thing remotely related to inheritance in your code snippet is the WindowListener, which does little. See camickr's advice about built-in exit management.
    EDIT - using the post title as a clue, I realize you may be talking about the component hierarchy, and whether the contentPane's background is visible through the upper layers. Instead of guessing, I'd prefer you describe your "issue" accurately (observed vs expected behavior).

  • Php include not working

    Good Afternoon.
    I am having a hard time trying to find what needs to be set to allow url
    include statments in php on Netware 6.5 sp3, php5.
    I know my code is correct after trying it on an external server, and it
    seems all other php coding works. Just not the http includes as shown
    below:
    <?php
    include ('http://your.website.here/filenamehere.php');
    ?>
    php.ini is posted below:
    [PHP]
    ; About php.ini ;
    ; This file controls many aspects of PHP's behavior. In order for PHP to
    ; read it, it must be named 'php.ini'. PHP looks for it in the current
    ; working directory, in the path designated by the environment variable
    ; PHPRC, and in the path that was defined in compile time (in that order).
    ; Under Windows, the compile-time path is the Windows directory. The
    ; path in which the php.ini file is looked for can be overridden using
    ; the -c argument in command line mode.
    ; The syntax of the file is extremely simple. Whitespace and Lines
    ; beginning with a semicolon are silently ignored (as you probably
    guessed).
    ; Section headers (e.g. [Foo]) are also silently ignored, even though
    ; they might mean something in the future.
    ; Directives are specified using the following syntax:
    ; directive = value
    ; Directive names are *case sensitive* - foo=bar is different from FOO=bar.
    ; The value can be a string, a number, a PHP constant (e.g. E_ALL or
    M_PI), one
    ; of the INI constants (On, Off, True, False, Yes, No and None) or an
    expression
    ; (e.g. E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE), or a quoted string ("foo").
    ; Expressions in the INI file are limited to bitwise operators and
    parentheses:
    ; | bitwise OR
    ; & bitwise AND
    ; ~ bitwise NOT
    ; ! boolean NOT
    ; Boolean flags can be turned on using the values 1, On, True or Yes.
    ; They can be turned off using the values 0, Off, False or No.
    ; An empty string can be denoted by simply not writing anything after the
    equal
    ; sign, or by using the None keyword:
    ; foo = ; sets foo to an empty string
    ; foo = none ; sets foo to an empty string
    ; foo = "none" ; sets foo to the string 'none'
    ; If you use constants in your value, and these constants belong to a
    ; dynamically loaded extension (either a PHP extension or a Zend
    extension),
    ; you may only use these constants *after* the line that loads the
    extension.
    ; About this file ;
    ; This is the recommended, PHP 5-style version of the php.ini-dist file.
    It
    ; sets some non standard settings, that make PHP more efficient, more
    secure,
    ; and encourage cleaner coding.
    ; The price is that with these settings, PHP may be incompatible with some
    ; applications, and sometimes, more difficult to develop with. Using this
    ; file is warmly recommended for production sites. As all of the changes
    from
    ; the standard settings are thoroughly documented, you can go over each
    one,
    ; and decide whether you want to use it or not.
    ; For general information about the php.ini file, please consult the
    php.ini-dist
    ; file, included in your PHP distribution.
    ; This file is different from the php.ini-dist file in the fact that it
    features
    ; different values for several directives, in order to improve
    performance, while
    ; possibly breaking compatibility with the standard out-of-the-box
    behavior of
    ; PHP. Please make sure you read what's different, and modify your scripts

    ; - register_globals = Off [Security, Performance]

    gone wrong,
    ; without exposing any sensitive information to remote users.
    ; - output_buffering = 4096 [Performance]
    ; Set a 4KB output buffer. Enabling output buffering typically
    results in less
    ; writes, and sometimes less packets sent on the wire, which can often

    ; - register_argc_argv = Off [Performance]
    ; Disables registration of the somewhat redundant $argv and $argc
    global

    ; - magic_quotes_gpc = off [Performance]
    ; Input data is no longer escaped with slashes so that it can be sent

  • E75 messaging application not working

    Hi,
    I have recently purchased an E75 and at first glance it looks to be very nice. However, now i have run into the problem that messaging is not working properly. The message indicator is telling me that I have 6 new messages. When I try to go menu>>messages the application tries to open but immediately crashes. Also when I try to open the messages directly by clicking on them from the message indicator the same behavior seems to happen.
    Has anybody experienced the same? How do I get rid of these messages if I can't open them?
    Any help is appreciated, thanks.

    I've had similar problems with my E75.
    I've found that Nokia Messaging simply gets confused & over-loaded, and gives up.
    Try accessing you email account from your computer.
    Then, delete all of your messages from your inbox & sent folders.
    Basically, purge as much as possible.
    Then try accessing it from your E75.
    This usually works for me.
