Behavior panel timeline
I put correctly from behavior panel in to key frame the
action script :

this.sfondoanimato.gotoAndPlay("anima immagine");

but it doesn't work!!! Wy?

with this script you are telling the MovieClip with the
instance name of 'sfondoanimato' to gotoAndPlay at the frame
labeled 'anima immagine'.
are these things true?
does the MC have the correct 'instance name'?
does the MC contain a frame with the correct 'label'?
are the spellings (including the 'space') correct in both of
the above?

I am trying to restrict access to a page by redirecting unauthorized users to another page. The Adobe manual instructs me to:
Open the page you want to protect.
In the Server Behaviors panel (Window > Server Behaviors), click the Plus button and select User Authentication > Restrict Access To Page from the pop‑up menu.
I opened the page and went to the Server Behaviors panel.
Unfortunately, the Plus button is greyed out and not operational. How do I make the Plus button operational so that I can then select User Authentication, etc?
CharlieYou can't apply server behaviors to pages that don't contain (or are specified to be when they are created) server scripting. That means they must have the proper filename extension, e.g., filename.php or filename.aspx/

Hello. I'm using DW8 and created some events which work as they are supposed to, but when I try to edit them, nothing shows up in the Behaviors Panel. I tested it with DW MX that I still have installed, but the panel is the same - blank. Is there an option in my settings somewhere that I need selected to show my events? Thanks
Put your cursor inside the <body> of your document. If your cursor is in a coded area other than the body of your document, Behaviors don't display.

Behaviors Panel Missing columns FW-8
I'm running fireworks 8 on an intel Macbook, OS 10.4. When I
open the behaviors panel, I get a 'onMouseOver" listing but nothing
else. Cannot seem to highlight an event and there are no actions or
events headings in the panel. As say, a rollover, the behavior
works in preview, (and in dreaweaver), but if I want to use a click
event, instead of a rollover, I cannot do it. (This bieng for a
swap image action). Any idea of what is going on. At this point,
i'm adding all my behaviors in Dreamweaver...

Dreamwever CS5 ERROR server behavior panel cannot determine wheter "command" or "recordset (Query)"
i get this error whenever i open pages created in CS4. ive tried deleting the cache file... deleting the entire configuration folder and letting DW re build it.. nothing... error still there. how can i turn it off? i also cant seem to find the "edit server behaviors" button.. double click? well DW freaks out with that aswell... yes i know i have some insanely hand edited code.. basically use DW as notepad replacement.. with extra features like having the option of "add recordset" then going and editing it to my liking.

this is a total show stopper for me.. im going to have to go back to a previous version cant click "ok" every time i open a page.. and every time i follow a include file.

Question.. how to disable the error message from popping up? i'll take my chances with hand editing the recordset / command by hand if i need it changed.this is bleh... having to resort back to CS4..

Suddenly getting this goofball message in DW5.5 on Win7:
"The Server Behavior panel cannot determine whether "Command" or "Recordset (Query)" is applied to your page. Please select Edit Server Behaviors and change one of the two behaviors to ensure that each is uniquely identifiable."
Crazy thing is, it only happens on my workstation.
DW5.5 on my laptop opens the same .asp pages without this crazy message popping up.
Anybody know what the issue is?I'd suggest that no answer means no answer yet. The person who can help may not have been on the forum the day the post was made.
That said, I'm starting to suspect that the cause must be an extension. Both boxes have the same version of DW and the same OS but both don't have the exact same extensions installed. Will play around and see what happens. -
Can breadcrumb navigation be built in DW using the Behaviors panel?
I don't know enough javascript to code breadcrumb navigation, and I'm hoping that there is way
to create breadcumb navigation using the behaviors panel, or some other feature in DW.

Fireworks 8 Behaviors Panel Broken
I am using Fireworks 8 on Mac G4 with OS 10.3.9
My Behaviors panels is not displaying the Events or Behaviors
columns and I am unable to edit an event that triggers the
behavior.
I noticed that on 5/27/07 someone posted the identical
problem under "Behaviors Panel Missing columns FW-8".
Unfortunately, there was no response then to this problem.

You discussed Fireworks on a Windows PC. I run Fireworks at
home on an Apple desktop and an Apple laptop. Only the desktop
(Apple G4) has had this issue for about two weeks now (it was fine
for several years), the laptop's Fireworks is working well.
At school, I teach Fireworks on Windows PCs and am not having
this issue there on the PC's either.
Your comment about some internal Fireworks interface resource
causing it sounds logical. There is nothing named "SMALLE" or
"SMALLE.FON" on any of my hard drives :-( I have not purposefully
disabled any of my fonts lately.
As a test, I fired up Fireworks MX 2004 on the problem
desktop and the Behaviors panel was functioning normally in that
version of the program.
So, I am going to try reinstalling Fireworks 8 in the hopes
that some missing/damaged resource is replaced with a new one that
is working correctly.

Photoshop CC: Layer Merging Behavior with Timeline Animations (Bug?)
Hello,
we're working a lot with the Photoshop timeline in our company. After upgrading to Photoshop CC we encountered a behavior that was different with CS6.
Picture a file with a timeline animation consisting for example of 8 frames, with 8 layers, each layer's visibility exposed on a single frame (layer 1 exposed in frame 1, layer 2 exposed in frame 2 etc) and all other layer not visible.
In Photoshop CS6, if I were to create a new layer for example in frame 4 of my timeline above layer 4 (which is the only visible layer in this frame) and merged it back down onto layer 4 (by selecting it and pressing the shortcut CTRL+E), the resulting layer inherited all the exposure settings of layer 4, but did contain the merged visual content of layer 4 and the previously new layer above it. This is what I want.
Now in Photoshop CC, when doing the very same action, the layers are merged and keep the naming of layer 4, however the visibility flag is not inherited properly. The resulting layer is exposed (visible) on all frames in the timeline, whereas it actually should only be exposed in frame 4.
Also note that the timeline option "New layers visible in all frames" is deactivated. So even if Photoshop treated the merged layer as an actual new layer, it shouldn't expose it's visibility in all other frames.
The only workaround I've found so far is enabling "unify layer visibility", hiding the layer, then disabling "unify layer visibility" again. This is annoying however, and the entire new behavior seems like a bug to me. Can any of the developers comment on this? Thank you.

Hannes DrexlMy only solution so far is to avoid using CC and sticking with CS6. Thanks Adobe for not letting me enjoy the other great features of the PS version you seem to care about updating and improving. Since PS is the main reason I even subscribed to creative cloud, it would be nice to at least know this problem is being resolved in the future.

Open browser window behavior in Mac not working right
I am simply selecting my text in my html document and then selecting "Open Browser Window" from the Behaviors panel. I then put in the info for the file I want it to open along with the size, etc...
When I test it in the browser (Safari) the link works but the rollover features don't show ... it doesn't show as a link in the browser window. I followed the tutorial exactly and the instructor's browser showed the link as a rollover. It's driving me a bit crazy.
I'm using CS5 on the latest version on Mac OS (Snow Leopard).
I can put up an example if needed.

Perhaps you have some hidden redirection going on via an htaccess file? I dunno.... -
Dreamweaver Panels - Only one panel visible at a time, others get obscured even with Always On Top.
I have a problem with my Dreamweaver MX, and it is that I can only see one panel at a time, any other open panels get obscured. For example, with the work space maximized, and having the properties and behaviors panels open, I can only see one of the panels at the same time. If I click on any area of the work space each open panel will display and with the next click the other will display. If I make the work space smaller then the whole area of my screen, and move any open panels outside of the Dreamweaver work space, only then they will stay visible. I know this is not normal behavior, because I used to be able to see all the open panels simultaneously, with the work space maximized to use all the screen area. I went to Preferences> Panels> Always On Top, and all the checkmarks are still set, so as to keep all panels on top at all times, but this does no longer be the case. Can someone tell me what happened here, and how I can get back to being able to see all the open panels? Thanks. -Al.Since I upgraded to Firefox 19 from 18.0.2, on my Windows XP (SP3) laptop, I, too, can no longer open a new window. File-->New Window does nothing; also can no longer tear off a tab and open it in a new window (it stays where it is). Also, if I right-click on a tab and select Move to New Window, nothing happens. All of these worked fine in FF 18.0.2. All of these work fine with FF 19 on Windows 7. Only an issue on my XP laptop.
After trying to open a new window, and not seeing the new window come up (and yes, I waited a long time), I decided to close my current window, which had multiple tabs open. Instead of just closing, it pops up the message reminding me that I'm about to close all those tabs. If I say close, and then go into the Task Manager, the Firefox application has disappeared (as expected), but the firefox (and plug-in container) processes are still running. So I have to manually kill the Firefox process to get it to quit. it's as if it thinks there is another Window open (the one I tried to open but never appeared). This happens every single time! I've restarted my laptop, and that does not resolve the problem.
Is there a way to downgrade back to v 18.0.2 until this is fixed? -
ADDT Server Behaviors not all available in CS6
Hello,
I used CS3 for years with the ADDT and was very happy with it. I was given a career change and got away from programming. I then upgraded to CS6 Master Collection and the ADDT for DW does not install and all the server behaviors I have come to enjoy are not all in CS6.
What can I do? Downgrading to CS3 is not an option. do I now have to repay for these server behaviors in another extension?ADDT has been dead for quite a while. The deprecated server behaviors in DW won't work with PHP 5.5+ so relying on them for current or future projects is futile. Adobe removed them from DW CC for a reason.
Steer clear of CS6's Behaviors Panel and learn to manually code with MySQLi (improved) or PDO.

How do I GET the 'set text of container' behavior in DW CS3 if it's missing?
I'm building a site using CSS in DW CS3 (bought in May 2006) that has some photo gallery pages where a large image changes per thumbnails to its right that are clicked. The thumbnails are in their divs and the wished-for big image should appear in a larger div to the left. I've read in other postings here that I can use Behaviors panel > Set Text > Set text to container to do this, but this behavior is missing in my Set Text submenu. How do I add this behavior there?
Also, how do I not only create this 'on click' behavior, but have the thumbnail image change to a 'HIT' state like a rollover would?

If this Set Text folder is not there it means that the behavior did not get installed. So you might need to reinstall DW CS3.
