Behavior Values Gone in M2

I am editing and suddenly all Behaviors values are not showing up in the inspector. The Values area is just blank next to all the parameters. Not even grayed out, just blank.
I'm just getting used to Motion and I may have done something wrong. How do I get them to show up?

The values were gone even after a restart. Finally I deleted the prefs file and restarted and all is well. Something must have corrupted the prefs.

"File Path Control" default Value

Hi - How do we set or change the default value for "File Path Control" (Control --> String & Path ---> File Path Control)?
I typed the default path into the control field on the front pannel and save the VI file. The value gone when I reopen the file.

Event Structure, Boolean Control and Value Changde

I have a boolean control which is related to a frame in an event structure, the action set as Value Change. It worked ok with front panel click but I have problem with triggering it programmatically. I used the Val(sgnl) property node to trig the event. My problem is that it will trigger whenever a true or false value is sent to the property node, no matter it's changed or not. I don't know whether it's the normal behavior or I'm doing something wrong. Anyone can give some advices? Thanks in advance.

What you are seeing is the expected behavior, Value Signaling always sends the event. An easy way inside the event to see if that is the case is to compare the new and the old value. If they are the same then you can do nothing in that event.

Default view size/location for files in Preview?

Hello,
This is probably a stupidly simple question, but is there a way to set the default location and size of all pdf files opened in preview?
I know how easy it is to set window parameters in the finder: simply resize the window before closing and it remembers the new size/location. Preview will remember the location when the app remains open, yet when I quit the program and open the same PDF file again, its back in its original location, which somehow got set off center on my 2nd monitor so it cannot be read without constantly adjusting upon opening. Deleting the plist file had no effect whatsoever with my Preview. You can try it if you want. If you have custom settings of various sorts you can just move the plist file to the Desktop, then start Preview. If the annoying behavior is gone then you can toss the file on the Desktop and keep the new plist file. If it still behaves the same way and you want whatever preferences you had set before, just quit Preview and move your original file back, say yes to the "replace dialogue" and you're back where you were.

How to do paging in a jsp and how to load data to specific pages

I want to show 10 rows of data in a one page and remain in other pages. How to do it and let me know how to use tags inside display:table.Because I'm using a display:table tag to show data. Also I have already add requestURI attribute and map it inside struts-config.xml file with the neede .jsp to be loaded. But it didnt work as I want. Please help me.
But the fact is sinse I'm getting data from a database and showing them using display:table tag I cannot understand where to put those offset like tags. Also I dont have the neccesary .tld. I will add here my code inside jsp file.Im working on struts framework and my ide is myeclipse.

Make sure you calculate the pagination before you invoke the JSP.

Pre ActiveSync problems from day one

It looks like this is a giant forum full of people having problems so I is hard to know whether or not someone has posted the same problems as me. If so please point me in the right direction.
We have Exchange 2003 on Windows Server 2003. I am the Exchange admin but I am a bit of a layman.
The exchange server works fine for my old WinMo phone, my boss’ iPhone and other blackberry devices.
When I got the Pre I had an issue with it showing me email, I could see the header but no message. An error would occur about timing out downloading the message body.
After adding and removing the account more times than I can count that behavior has gone away. Now I get random syncing. Sometimes it syncs emails and calendar, sometimes it does not. Most of time it is "stuck" with emails that don't exist in my mailbox any more, and getting new messages on top of them. I have called Palm countless times, they have promised me callbacks on at least 3 occasions and I have never received a call. I was told that the 1.0.3 update would fix my issue and it did not. I was told that checking an option on the exchange server to allow devices that do not meet all security requirements would fix my problem and it did not.
I have tried doing a reset on my phone, I have deleted my email box on the exchange server twice. Exchange would work for about 24 hours after deleting and recreating the mailbox then it would stop working again. Randomly syncing or getting "stuck". Yesterday my battery completely drained in 2 hours because EAS was trying to sync my mailbox and I guess failed. There are no errors on the phone or the exchange server.
Being an exchange and system admin getting my email from the exchange server is vital. I am able to work around this in my email using IMAP which works fine, but that does not fix my calendar. The EAS issue is draining my battery badly (my wife has a Pre without exchange and her battery lasts way longer than mine)
Does anyone have a fix, a workaround or a phone number to a native english speaker at Palm that can help?

Thank you for your reply. I've looked at the server and it is clean. There is nothing useful in the event viewer, no errors, no messages, nothing even related to my phone. I am supposed to call Palm back and let them know the results of their last attempt, setting the exchange server option to allow devices that don't meet all security requirements to connect. As of this morning my phone is still in the "stuck" state with old messages that are no longer in my mailbox on the bottom and new messages on top (which is better than no new messages at all)
On a semi-related note my wife had her first email problem today. Her Gmail did not check all night for some reason so when she went into it this morning it downloaded dozens of emails.

"Updated" search bar with Bing search appeared in Tabs today & I can't get rid of it!

PROBLEM SOLVED! This is so embarrassing, but here's what fixed it. I'll leave the question here in case others download the add-on and can't figure out why it's doing what it's doing, but if a mod wants to delete the question I won't mind.
Anyhow, I right clicked on exactly the right spot on the bar and chose Delete, which brought up the add-on tab, which showed an add-on called "Default Tab," restarted Firefox, and now both behaviors are gone--no more search window in the tab bar, and no more search box in new tabs. I must have thought Default Tabs sounded cool, but didn't expect it to do what it did.

Sometime between Friday and this morning a new search box¬ appeared in Firefox that called itself the “Updated Search Bar” until I tried it the first time. I’d like to avoid resetting Firefox, but if that’s the only way to fix this I guess I’ll have to. All suggestions are welcome.
The box looks much like the default search box except that it has a big orange button on the right saying "Search." It’s located in the tab bar, next to the last tab, taking up valuable real estate if I have more than 4 or 5 tabs open, which I often do. The default “search” is Bing, the other options are things like Facebook and Twitter, and it has no option to manage search engines. It doesn’t appear in my extensions or plugins, and I can’t find information about it anywhere.
BTW, my old search box is still in the navigation bar, and although I haven’t been able to get rid of Bing for the “search” search, I’ve made DuckDuckGo the default by moving it to the top of the list.

Pop-up menus from images in DW CS3

I just started working with DW CS3. Didn't take long to
discover that the "show pop-up menu" behavior is gone. In it's
place we now have Spry. Correct me if I'm missing something here,
but it appears that there's no way to make Spry produce a pop-up
menu when the user mouses over a graphic. Spry appears to ONLY work
with text.
From poking around this forum I see mention of an extension
called Pop Menu Magic, but it costs $90 and it isn't clear if it
will work with Mac. Is there a free or less expensive way to
achieve what I'm attempting to do.

Counter Output/Counter Input PXI Signals Behaving Erratically

Question for all your LabVIEW guru's out there,
I am running a frequency loopback test using the NI PXI 6229 MIO DAQ card. I am generating a "Counter Output" pulse train signal which feeds through my device under test and then back out of my device under test and back into the PXI 6229 for a "Counter Input" frequency measurement. Both the "Counter Output" and the "Counter Input" are assigned different PFI lines using DAQmx in LabVIEW.
I have 4 lines to test on my DUT. All four lines run this same frequency measurement but with different PFI lines on the PXI 6229. Each line is test independently.
This is my setup for the 4 lines:
Path 1: P2.0 (Counter Output - Pulse Train) -> DUT (Device Under Test) -> P2.1 (Counter Input - Frequency Measurement)
Path 2: P2.2 (Counter Output - Pulse Train) -> DUT (Device Under Test) -> P2.3 (Counter Input - Frequency Measurement)
Path 3: P2.4 (Counter Output - Pulse Train) -> DUT (Device Under Test) -> P2.5 (Counter Input - Frequency Measurement)
Path 4: P2.6 (Counter Output - Pulse Train) -> DUT (Device Under Test) -> P2.7 (Counter Input - Frequency Measurement)
where:
P2.0 = PFI8
P2.1 = PFI9
P2.2 = PFI10
P2.3 = PFI11
P2.4 = PFI12

I have a LabVIEW VI which generates the "Counter Output" and reads the "Counter Input" frequency. I am seeing weird behavior from the PXI 6229 card. I can test "Path 1" and "Path 2" and the frequency I read is what I generated. No issue there. However, when I test "Path 3" and "Path 4" the frequency measurement is erratic. The readings are two different frequencies repeated over and over again and none of those frequencies are the expected frequency which was generated out of the "Counter Output." If I reset the card, and start by testing "Path 3" and "Path 4" the frequency readings are correct and the erratic behavior is gone. However, when I try to then test "Path 2" and "Path 1" now those lines have the erratic frequency issue. I can continue resetting the card and see same issue. The PFI lines that I test first will always pass.
To summarize:
Steps Taken:
1. Test Path 1 = SUCCESS
2. Test Path 2 = SUCCESS
3. Test Path 3 = Erratic Frequency (Two Frequencies repeated over and over again in my frequency results array)
4. Test Path 4 = Erratic Frequency (Two Frequencies repeated over and over again in my frequency results array)
5. Reset the PXI 6229 Card
6. Test Path 3 = SUCCESS
7. Test Path 4 = SUCCESS
8. Test Path 3 = Erratic Frequency (Two Frequencies repeated over and over again in my frequency results array)
9. Test Path 4 = Erratic Frequency (Two Frequencies repeated over and over again in my frequency results array)
I am wondering if Port 2 (P2.0-P2.7) on the 6229 card has certain dependecies and this is why I am seeing issues. I am trying to get around this issue so that I don't have to always reset the card.
Are P2.0-P2.3 (PFI8-PFI11) and P2.4-P2.7 (PFI12-PFI15) treated differently or require different setup? How do I resolve this issue?

I have a theory...
The DAQ card follows a policy called "lazy uncommit" wherein the terminal used for the output will continue to be connected to the counter even after the task has completed (until the terminal is needed for something else). So as you run more tests, the counter output will end up driving more lines. This behavior should be easy enough to confirm.
As the DAQ card drives more lines, I'd imagine this affects the actual signal. You could scope it to check, but it sounds like either the rise/fall times are becoming longer or some extra noise is being introduced on the line.
The readings are two different frequencies repeated over and over again and none of those frequencies are the expected frequency which was generated out of the "Counter Output."
This implies you are picking up an extra edge during transitions--this isn't too uncommon if the signal is noisy since there is no built-in hysteresis on the DAQ card. I would expect the measured frequencies to have periods that sum to either the full period or the semi-period of your actual signal (depending on how many duplicate edges are detected).
Suggestions are as follows:
To stop the DAQ card from driving multiple PFI lines, it would probably be easiest to just programmatically reset the device in between your tests (using DAQmx Reset Device). If you can't reset the device (e.g. because you are running some other task that can't be interrupted) then you can instead configure a dummy task that uses the PFI line in question as an input.
To stop the DAQ card from picking up multiple edges during transitions, you should configure a digital filter on the input terminals. If you reset the device it sounds like this might not be necessary... it's up to you if you want to configure this or not.

Extensions disappear after workspace change

I changed my workspace and now all my extensions have disappeared. Server Behaviors, menus, tag behaviors, all gone. The Extension manager still shows them all as installed.
Why did they disappear and is there a way to get them back that does not involve reinstalling every one of them? Perhaps a way to force a refresh of what is installed?
I deleted the cache file and that did not make a difference.
Any help appreciated.

Well, I didn't just let it, I told it to update. I was pretty well backed up, but the problem was not immediately visible to me.
I basically did just what your link suggests. I re-enabled all the extensions. Some failed and I re-installed those. Some were missing, and I had to find those.
The of course is the pain of activating all those extensions.
I found that my configuration folder must have been read as corrupt. It was renamed Configuration-1 and a new one created. Every time I tried to fix it, it still did not like my old one and renamed it again.
Once the tech support person realized the depth of the problem he asked me to hold for a minute. 94 minutes later, I was disconnected.
I used the time to fix the problem myself. It only took about an hour after disconnection to complete.
After that I received a support incident by email. It asked me to respond to an incident that had no information and just said "How to issue" I responded with, "WTF! respond to what?" followed by the information I shared here and a bit about my lost time.

Combining CFChartSeries in one graph

I have a chart that has four vertical bar graphs. The results
show how much percentage of a goal has been reached. If/when any
bar exceeds the 100% of goal mark, I bump the scaleTo up to 200 and
show a horizontal line at the 100% mark. Everything works as
expected, except when the horizontal line is displayed - the colors
set for my bars are ignored and all are changed to a pea green (the
horizontal line remains black as set). Any thoughts?

This is a bug in cfcharts with more than one series.
Either the entire column (for all series) has the same color
or the entire series has the same color.
Attached is a work-around that may work for your specific
example.

The VSTO excel add-in disabled functionality is not working. While restarting the Excel, addin is getting enabled

The load behavior value is 3.
I am able to disable the addin but while restarting excel, the add-in is getting enabled by default.is there any any settings to be changed in excel for VSTO addin.
How to retain the disabled mode until it is enabling.
If anybody has some solution, please share it to me

When the Office application attempts to load an add-in, it will specify the LoadBehavior, when the LoadBehavior is 3, which means that the add-in will be loaded at start up. When user disables an add-in, the value in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER hive overrides
the default LoadBehavior defined in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE hive. Which hive you checked the loadbehavior is 3 ?
And could you please detailed more information about your movements disable an add-in manually.

Trouble using FilteredRowSet

I can't seem to use a FilteredRowSet, which was added in the 1.5.0 release. My compiler keeps saying that :
cannot resolve symbol: class FilteredRowSet

My code includes:

(have also tried : import javax.sql.rowset.* ...compiler then cannot find rowset)

Check your JDK version - you should be importing
javax.sql.rowset.FilteredRowSet
I don't know why your import javax.sql.RowSet.*; line is passing muster, but I see that import java.util.List.*; does as well, though it doesn't allow you to use the List interface without fully qualifying it - I'm sure this behavior is gone over in the JLS, but I've not run into it (that I can recall)
Anyway, if you can't import javax.sql.rowset.FilteredRowSet then it's likely you are using a 1.4 JDK.
Have you successfully compiled your FilteredRowSetImpl?

S10 Loads Bios then Stops, have to Hit Any Key to Load Windows XP

I have a Lenovo S10, after powering on, the just loads the bios screen of LENOVO. With the F2 & F12 at the bottom of the screen. If you press F2 to setup & F12 to Boot Menu, it will do so.
When you press other keys, it will then load windows xp.
In the Boot Order, I already put the HDD on top (the first) but you have to hit any key for Windows to load.
Why?
Also, flashed the bios to version 14CN94WW. But did not help.
Suggestions? Assistance?

to exclude BIOS ... go in BIOS and press F9 to setup defaults....
set in Config page quickstart disabled and Beep disabled
F10 and exit
unplug PSU and Battery press 30seconds switch On Button ...
Then plug PSU and Battery in ... press Switch On ... if this wait behavior is gone...OK if not ... it could something to do with harddrive ... easy if you have another harddrive to check this , if not save your data and work on other media and recover to factory condition...
overal there is no wait for key in BIOS should boot straight forward into OS without that press any key ...
