Behaviors Panel Empty

Hello. I'm using DW8 and created some events which work as they are supposed to, but when I try to edit them, nothing shows up in the Behaviors Panel. I tested it with DW MX that I still have installed, but the panel is the same - blank. Is there an option in my settings somewhere that I need selected to show my events? Thanks

Put your cursor inside the <body> of your document. If your cursor is in a coded area other than the body of your document, Behaviors don't display.

In Dreamweaver CS6, the Plus (+) button in the Server Behaviors panel is greyed out. How do I make it operational?

I am trying to restrict access to a page by redirecting unauthorized users to another page. The Adobe manual instructs me to:
Open the page you want to protect.
In the Server Behaviors panel (Window > Server Behaviors), click the Plus button and select User Authentication > Restrict Access To Page from the pop‑up menu.
I opened the page and went to the Server Behaviors panel.
Unfortunately, the Plus button is greyed out and not operational. How do I make the Plus button operational so that I can then select User Authentication, etc?

You can't apply server behaviors to pages that don't contain (or are specified to be when they are created) server scripting. That means they must have the proper filename extension, e.g., filename.php or filename.aspx/

Behaviors Panel Missing columns FW-8

I'm running fireworks 8 on an intel Macbook, OS 10.4. When I
open the behaviors panel, I get a 'onMouseOver" listing but nothing
else. Cannot seem to highlight an event and there are no actions or
events headings in the panel. As say, a rollover, the behavior
works in preview, (and in dreaweaver), but if I want to use a click
event, instead of a rollover, I cannot do it. (This bieng for a
swap image action). Any idea of what is going on. At this point,
i'm adding all my behaviors in Dreamweaver...

Dreamwever CS5 ERROR server behavior panel cannot determine wheter "command" or "recordset (Query)"

i get this error whenever i open pages created in CS4. ive tried deleting the cache file... deleting the entire configuration folder and letting DW re build it.. nothing... error still there. how can i turn it off? i also cant seem to find the "edit server behaviors" button.. double click? well DW freaks out with that aswell... yes i know i have some insanely hand edited code.. basically use DW as notepad replacement.. with extra features like having the option of "add recordset" then going and editing it to my liking.

this is a total show stopper for me.. im going to have to go back to a previous version cant click "ok" every time i open a page.. and every time i follow a include file.

Question.. how to disable the error message from popping up? i'll take my chances with hand editing the recordset / command by hand if i need it changed.

this is bleh... having to resort back to CS4..
is there any way to legaly go back to cs4 dreamweaver but still use the other cs5 applications?

Suddenly getting this goofball message in DW5.5 on Win7:
"The Server Behavior panel cannot determine whether "Command" or "Recordset (Query)" is applied to your page. Please select Edit Server Behaviors and change one of the two behaviors to ensure that each is uniquely identifiable."
Crazy thing is, it only happens on my workstation.
DW5.5 on my laptop opens the same .asp pages without this crazy message popping up.
Anybody know what the issue is?

I'd suggest that no answer means no answer yet. The person who can help may not have been on the forum the day the post was made.
That said, I'm starting to suspect that the cause must be an extension. Both boxes have the same version of DW and the same OS but both don't have the exact same extensions installed. Will play around and see what happens.

Can breadcrumb navigation be built in DW using the Behaviors panel?

I don't know enough javascript to code breadcrumb navigation, and I'm hoping that there is way
to create breadcumb navigation using the behaviors panel, or some other feature in DW.

Fireworks 8 Behaviors Panel Broken

I am using Fireworks 8 on Mac G4 with OS 10.3.9
My Behaviors panels is not displaying the Events or Behaviors
columns and I am unable to edit an event that triggers the
behavior.
I noticed that on 5/27/07 someone posted the identical
problem under "Behaviors Panel Missing columns FW-8".
Unfortunately, there was no response then to this problem.

You discussed Fireworks on a Windows PC. I run Fireworks at
home on an Apple desktop and an Apple laptop. Only the desktop
(Apple G4) has had this issue for about two weeks now (it was fine
for several years), the laptop's Fireworks is working well.
At school, I teach Fireworks on Windows PCs and am not having
this issue there on the PC's either.
Your comment about some internal Fireworks interface resource
causing it sounds logical. There is nothing named "SMALLE" or
"SMALLE.FON" on any of my hard drives :-( I have not purposefully
disabled any of my fonts lately.
As a test, I fired up Fireworks MX 2004 on the problem
desktop and the Behaviors panel was functioning normally in that
version of the program.
So, I am going to try reinstalling Fireworks 8 in the hopes
that some missing/damaged resource is replaced with a new one that
is working correctly.

Is there an easy way to re-install or activate the Server Behaviors Panel and Functions in Dreamweaver CC, where it appears to have been de-emphsized?

I put correctly from behavior panel in to key frame the
action script :

with this script you are telling the MovieClip with the
instance name of 'sfondoanimato' to gotoAndPlay at the frame
labeled 'anima immagine'.
are these things true?
does the MC have the correct 'instance name'?
does the MC contain a frame with the correct 'label'?
are the spellings (including the 'space') correct in both of
the above?

"Effects" panel empty/blank in CS6?

I am running Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 on Mac OS 10.9.3. Every time I open Adobe Premiere Pro, regardless of the project, the Effects Panel (not the control panel) is empty/blank. There is nothing typed in the search field, and if I do type something or click a type filter icon, the side bar for that panel appears and changes sizes. Creating a new Bin does nothing. Importing Preset does nothing.
From another user account, the effects panel appears normal, so the problem is user specific. I've already had to create another user account from scratch last time I had a problem with the program (instant crash while loading in splash screen), and I really would like to avoid doing this again. I've deleted preferences manually and by starting the program holding Shift+Alt. I've emptied the cache. I've repaired permissions. Same problem persists.

Did things one at a time before, but this time I repaired permissions, then Trashed the 2 Premiere .com preference files and the Premiere and the PProHeadless (the one thing I did not delete before) folders in Preferences>Adobe in the User Library. Trashed the User>Documents>Adobe>Premiere Folder. Then I manually deleted all the Cache folders. Doing it all (or some combination) seemed to do the trick. Effects now show in the panel.

Why is my properties panel empty on photoshop cc

Upon opening my properties panel it is empty. The tutorial I am doing shows the property panel with adjustments ie. Curves. How do I fix this?

Effect and Content Panel Empty

have iMac Intel Core i3 OS 10.6.6.
Bought Adope Photshop Elements Software with DVD, made full install, however the "Effect" and "Content" panels are empty.
No effects, no frames etc. to choose from!
Where is the stuff, how can I get it installed?

Go to your hard drive>library>Application Support>Adobe>Photoshop Elements>9.0>Locale>en_US (or wherever you are) and delete mediaDatabase.db3. The next time you start PSE don't do anything till the contents of the panels show up.
Note that you have 3 library folders: system>library, your username>library, and the one at the top level of your hard drive. You want the last one.

Pages Panel Empty

Aperture 3.5.1 Import panel empty after iTunes 11.2.1 security update

Just a coincidence?
When I installed the recent iTunes 11.2.1 (1) security update, that directly followed the combined MacOS X 10.9.3 / iTunes 10.2 update, I got a warning, that Aperture had to be quit before installing the update.
After relaunching Aperture the Aperture Import panel stopped working:
The fonts in list view were upside down:
The Toolbar was empty and only gradually items kept reappearing.
The File Chooser and the Import settings bricks were empty.
Aperture was hanging on "Loading Assets" and not very responsive.
Clicking onto the empty bricks did occasionally reveal a pop-up menu:
This problem seems to be fixed, after I trashed Preferences and Presets:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Aperture.plist
~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Aperture
~/Library/Application Support/Aperture/Import Presets.plist
But I would like to know, if anybody else had similar problems with Aperture after the recent MacOS X 10.9.3 / iTunes 11.2.1 update.
SInce this iTunes update fixes a security issue it should not be skipped.

The problem was, that a broken file on my Desktop messed up the Import panel.
As soon as I add a certain empty PDF file with the name "119435-45-55 [6L].pdf" to my Desktop, strange things will happen with the Import panel on all three of my Macs running MacOS X 10.9.3 and Aperture 3.5.1. It took me a while to identify the file, because Aperture does show the filename as empty and does not show a preview.
The Import window will be messed up -
missing icons from the Toolbar and Import settings pane,
the File Chooser will be empty,
the busy indicator will show "Loading assets", and the Activity Window "Building Thumbnails"
The thumbnail of the corrupted file will be empty and the filename is showing as empty,
When I switch to list view, all text will be upside down as shown in my original post.
The problem is not caused by the brackets in the filename; if I rename the file, Aperture is still acting up. The file cannot be opened in Preview either.

Music panel empty

My computer was stolen with installed premiere elements 12 on it. I bought a new computer and installed Elements on it from my disc. Second (and last possible) installation. Opened the program, everything seemed normal. However, Music panel on a toolbar where music and sound effects should be is empty.What to do now?

Thank you for the update with the good news that the Music Scores and Sound Effects finally appeared under the Music Tab of your Premiere Elements 12.
I have found the Content download concept applied to Premiere Elements 11 and 12 to be very disturbing.

It appears to go to its worse case when trying to get Music Scores and Sound Effects for the Music Tab.
If you have not already, please update 12 to the 12.1 Update via an opened project's Help Menu/Update. That would not be expected to have helped you with the Music Scores/Sound Effects matter, but it does get rid of the Text Styles issue that targets the Expert, not the Quick, workspace of 12.
