I received an email from [email protected] with this title. After clicking the included link and giving Adobe additional information about myself, I don't see any further reference to my "free gift".
This was after registering my copy of Acrobat X.
Has anyone had a similar experience or even better, figured out how to "claim yours today"?

If you have a new Mac you already have the latest iLife.
Snow Leopard does not come with iLife for your $10 upgrade
There is no upgrade for iLife, iLife 09 just came out the beginning of this year.
When you install Snow Leopard it will upgrade the OS, and your applications will still be there.

How do you cope with releases of your custom Portal Content (PCD Content)?

I'm very interested in how you cope with release management in the Portal (PCD).
Where I'm focusing on is the release of a "project" trough your landscape (Dev, Test, QA, Prod)
When starting a project you start with a new folder lets say "My Custom App" that contains all your content.
Once done you transport to Test, QA and eventually Prod. Now the Content is in use and roles are assigned.
Request for changes arive from the customer and eventually a new release need to be implemented.
Offcourse you could then change/update the content in the initial folder and transport that to Test, QA again but you will not be able to fix incidents while creating the new release because objects maybe touched.
I was thinking about a scenario where you create subfolders in your application folder, see example below:
\ "My Custom App"
|--- Release 1.0
|--- Release 1.1
|--- Release 2.0
|--- Current
You only do this on your Dev system. Everytime a Release is OK you put it in the "Current" folder and transport this to Prod.
Using this you won't have to change the Role assignments in your different landscapes as they are always pointing to the "Current" folder. In addition this scenario enables you to provide Pilot rollouts to smaller groups parallel to the Major release.
My question to you is to shoot on it and give your oppinion/feedback... where possible provide links to SAP document or best practices that describe this subject...

It is an interesting approach you describe and I see no reason it should not work.
The only thing which can create some problems is that the object ID of roles must be unique. For example com.mycom.roles.roleA cannot exist in two separate folders in the PCD. For all other PCD objects it is the PCD ID which must be unique and this includes the folder prefix.
In my experience, the most natural solution for this in large portal environments is to have both a version and a production line.
The production line will be your standard sandbox, development, test/QA, production and the version line will consist of an development and test/QA systems.
Long running projects for enhancements to existing functionality will be done in the version line, before being transported to the production line when ready for GoLive. This makes even more sense when you have version lines for backend systems your portal are using which are modified at the same time.
Whilst the project is running, the production line can be used for changes to the current version, but it is important to note that all these changes have to be migrated into the version line in order to make sure they are not overwritten.
Of course, a version line brings extra cost related to synchronization and similar, so it is not always it makes sense.

The template is a document in itself, it is not applied to an existing document whether it is a Pages document or a Word document converted to a Pages document.
You would need to either copy and paste content, using existing styles, or apply the styles to the converted Word document.
You can Import the Styles from an existing document and those imported Styles can be used to override the current document's styles:
Menu > Format > Import Styles
The process is simplified if the styles use the same names, otherwise you will need to delete the style you don't want and replace it with the one that you do want when asked, then the substitution is pretty straightforward.

All has been installed. Those are there in case you need to do a reinstall. Unlike most Windows based hardware vendors these days. Apple still ships software you might need in case a drive fails. Even in the case of the new MacBook Air, Apple ships the software on a flash drive.

Ok so I had to restore my iPhone because it wasn't able to connect to iTunes or something like that. So I restored and updated my iPhone and now it comes up with "Welcome to Your new iPhone" and below that it says set up as new iPhone or restore from this backup. I have used the restore from backup 3 times and each time it comes up with the same thing again. I don't want to set up it up as new iPhone because I don't want to lose my messages and contacts.

Try restoring as a new device first.

As long as you have the recovery discs, there will not be a problem putting the original operating system back on the unit.

Retail version of tiger vs version that comes with your mac

what is the difference between the two? are the disks that come with the mac specificly made for a certain mac meaning like drivers etc. im interested cause i wanted to take tiger of my laptop and put it on my powermac and taking panther off my powermac and putting it on my laptop. that way there wouldnt be the same version on more than one computer which should be ok with the liscense agreement

Using OS X Install CDs/DVDs On Multiple Macs
The question of using system/software install CDs/DVDs on more than one machine is frequently asked.
So, FYI:
System software installation CDs/DVDs, that come with a particular Mac model, are HARDWARE/DRIVER SPECIFIC to that model, and not intended to be used on other Mac models. For instance, the CDs/DVDs that are shipped with an iMac are not to be used on an iBook or eMac.
And the "Tiger" DVDs that are shipped with any new Mac, also are not to be used on other Mac models.
If such an installation were possible, or somehow accomplished successfully, that action would constitute a violation of your license agreement, which limits installation to a single computer.
The "Single User Software License Agreement" can be found here Software License Agreement.
Similarly, any "Upgrade" CDs/DVDs for a particular Mac OS will ONLY work for that Mac & system. For example, if a new Mac that shipped with Jaguar/Panther, was purchased shortly before the release of Panther/Tiger, the user may have purchased "Upgrade" CDs/DVDs, for a lesser price than the full install set. These CDs/DVDs do not contain all of the necessary components for an independent installation of Panther or Tiger.
The license agreement applies to single user retail versions of system software. The "Panther" or "Tiger" boxed set, for example.

I just bought a xperia Z2, new, and it came with problems with the vibrating unit from the beggining.
A day after receiving it, the screen stoped working. I rebooted the device and nothing: just a lot of colors and lines. I have been always prewty carefull with my device and it never felt or something like that.
After noticing that the screen was with problems I put the mobile in my packpack.
Yeasterday I went to the store to change it, but my device was presenting some small scrashes and they didn´t acept it.
Wasn´t my phone suposed to came with a plastic cover in the screen and back?
It´s crazy how it scrached so easely Do you think maybe they sold me an used phone and the old user peeled the cover off? :O
Did your z2 come with a plastic cover?

Not 100% sure if in all countries the box would contain a screen protector.......if it did then it would only be the front screen, but at the end of the day it is left up to the individual if they wish to apply a screen protector to their phone or not

Twice I received updates from your company for the Adobe reader and the Adobe shockware that contained Maleware. Today was one of them.
I also do not like all the ads for downloads that come with the updates. How do I stop this from happening?

First, you are not addressing Adobe here, just fellow users. There is no Adobe personnel assigned to answer questions in this forum.
Second, please give more details. From where are downloading your programs? The Adobe sites do not have ads, and I know of no reports about malware downloaded from them. If you are receiving both, most probably your computer is infected.

Back story:
When the Verizon guy opened the box and started to set up my phone, he asked for my SD Card. Thinking to myself that this is rather odd, I asked him why he needed it. I still thought that was a bit odd, but didn't bother questioning it as I probably had no control over the situation either way. It's been about a week or so, and it's still bothering me. pshhjay, I can address your concern about the inclusion of SD cards with new devices. Thank you to the community for your imput. I can confirm that you will begin to see more devices that do not include a SD card. That includes the new Incredible and Samsung Galaxy 3. No worries, since the SD card has been replaced with internal memory on each phone. I hope this helps! ^CM

Those playlists are "Smart playlists".
I don't think that you can create them from the phone itself. I've only ever been able to create a smart playlist within iTunes and then syncing the phone.
