Belkin Battery Pack

Has anyone had any experience with the Belkin Battery BAckup pack? Not the one that is its own battery, but the one that you put your own batteries in. I was wondering if it would be a good buy for travellling and stuff. How much time would i get out of a fresh set of batteries? Is it cumbersome to bring around with u? ANy input would be appreciated. Thanks
Bobby

Yes, works just fine. If in doubt, first turn your IPOD on and note the battery meter on the IPOD. Then plug in the Belkin Battery Pack. The meter will completely fill up and stay that way until the Belkins Battery Pack is depleted. There is a test button on the Belkin that lights up a series of 4 green LEDs to show how much battery power is left. I have been getting between 7 and 8 hours of video play time and 18 hours of music/radio play time.
Note: This is using Rechargeable 2200 mAh NI-MH Batteries.
Bought some 2500mAh NI-MH Batteries today and will be giving them a few charge/discharge cycles to see how long of play time they provide.

  • Please help me? Anyone have a Belkin battery pack?

I have the Belkin battery pack and a 30GB ipod video. When do i stick the device into my ipod? Before the battery runs out? after? Also, where is the on/off button? I know this may sound like a stupid question but i need help.

Plug it in when you need th ebattery on the iPod.
No need to plug it in when you do not need it.
There is no on/off sswitch since it only works when plugged into the iPod.

  • G5 & the Belkin Battery Pack

    Hi,
I have just given my wife my G3 iPod and I bought a 30G G5. I was just wandering if anybody knows if the Belkin Battery pack works on the G5 as this would be great for watching films on long journeys. I have version "F8E464" but on the website it says "F8E464ea" is compatible.

So far so good, love the new G5 !!

  • Belkin Back-Up Battery Pack

Does anyone know if the Belkin Back-Up Battery Pack for iPod Model# F8E464 is suitable for an iTouch?
    Thanks

It certainly should work, yes. It's an older product, but all it does is provide power to the appropriate pins of the dock connector. My IPT charges (and transmits audio) in the dock that came with my 3rd gen iPod (from back in the FireWare days, and around the time the Belkin battery pack was released), so it should be just fine.
    Hope this helps...

  • Belkin external battery pack - iPhone

I have a Belkin "Back-up Battery Pack for iPod", model number F8E464 -- the one that takes four AA batteries, and was originally intended for a 3G iPod. Does anyone know if I can use this with my iPhone?

OK, so looking into this a little bit more, the charger that comes with the iPhone is marked "iPos USB Power Adapter". It has an output of 4V @ 1A.
The old iPod Firewire charger I have and the car charger I have are rated at 12V @ 1A, so I'm going to stop using them post haste.

  • External battery pack for Classic + Belkin TuneTalk Stereo?

Can anyone recommend an external battery pack that would connect to the Belkin F8Z082-BLK TuneTalk Stereo recorder attached to an iPod Classic?
I need to double or triple the recording time in the field, which is only about 2 hours at the moment.
The external battery pack will have to provide power over the mini usb port in the bottom of the TuneTalk device.

  • External Battery pack

I know there have been external battery packs utilizing AA and AAA batteries, has anyone used one with their Touch? What were your experiences?

    Hello,
I bought one of these out of a bargain bin in a local high street shop for £6:
    http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Backup-Battery-Pack-iPod/dp/B00009KAPW
Works fine with my 1st Gen but be prepared for how massive four AA batteries are compared to the slinky iPod touch. I bought four rechargeable AA batteries at the same time to miminize the environmental impact.

  • Battery pack mystery

    Hi, Please help professionally
I am concerned about these product, are they safe or not
I have a 30 gb Ipod Video and I was thinking about getting some extra battery power for longer trips.
    I looked at these products:
    http://cgi.ebay.com/Rechargeable-Battery-Pack-for-iPod-Mini-Nano-iPod-Photo_W0QQ itemZ5835512645QQcategoryZ118261QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

However, isn't the official ipod Battery output 3.7 volts?
So if one were to put 4 Alkalines of 1.5 v each that would total 6 volts, I want to know is this is a problem for the ipod? Or do these product trans down the voltage a little to have an output of 3.7 volts...
I wonder about this and if other people have used them before
    Your feedback would be appreciated
    Thankyou

There used to be some jumper hacks on the web for the older Thinkpad models.  Try a Google search and see if you find anything.

  • Can I use an external battery pack on my 17" Mac Book Pro?

    Hi
This may sound like a crazy question, but is it possible to safely use an external battery pack on my Mac Book Pro?.....specifically a Bescor Video Light battery pack which I can just plug my a/c power cable into. This would be very useful in the case of a local power failure (which actually may just happen tonight, as we are currently in the middle of a blizzard).
    Just wondering......
    Thanks,
    Anneita

Yes, you can use external battery packs — but I wouldn't use one that I wasn't perfectly certain was very carefully controlled.
External battery packs specifically designed for MBPs:

Another option, designed to protect sensitive equipment from power surges and enable uninterrupted computer usage during AC power outages and irregularities, is called an +uninterruptible power supply,+ and the leading manufacturer of such devices — which incorporate storage batteries of various capacities — is APC:

  • Change the battery pack

I have seen many people with this issue - I have a powershot ELPH 530HS and it has been working with no issues. Recently it started giving an error stating that i should "change the battery pack". This is a fairly new camera and i doubt the battery is faulty. Anyone seen this issue? How did you fix it?

You may need to let the rechargeable battery pack go completely dead before recharging. Some of the batteries get a "memory" if they get charged too often when they are not completely depleted of energy, and then won't fully charge. Use the battery pack until the camera just won't operate anymore, then try a recharge. There is a remote possibility that the battery contacts in the charger are not making proper contact, so just make sure the contacts on the battery pack and the charger are clean before plugging everything in.
