Belkin 'Digital Camera link for iPod'

I got a Belkin 'Digital Camera link for iPod' for $20. looked like a good bargain but dosen't work on my iPod.
Any idea if this belkin device supports 5G iPods. It was actually designed for the 3G iPods with photo.
I have a Sony DSC-S80 with PTP so dosen't look like the problem is with my camera.
  Windows XP Pro

I don’t see why it wouldn’t but it says it is for 3G iPod and you said it doesn’t work.
Any idea if this belkin device supports 5G iPods
No, it does not support the 5G, based upon it does not work and it is not designed for the 5G.

  • Putting Digital Camera Videos onto Ipod?

Is this possible? And if so how do I do it? I was told I'd need to convert them, but I haven't the slightest clue how.
I'm using a Mac with a 160 Gig iPod classic

If it's a digital camcorder you are talking about, it will be a little more difficult to do what you want to do. But if you're just talking about a digital camera which has a video recording function in it, it should be a lot easier.
First you have to check the file format (file name extension), i.e. is it .avi , .mpg , or anything else. Assuming you may not be able to see it right on the file name iteself (because sometimes the extensions are hidden from view). If you can't see the extension, just ctrl-click the file which you imported from your camera to your mac, click "Get Info", you can either read the extension under "Name & Extension", or just read the file format (kind) under "General" where it says what "kind" of a file it is.
As far as I know, most DC's record .avi videos. You could either use Quick Time Pro (which costs a little of your money, or if you have Pro applications like Logic or Final Cut Studio, it is free). Even if the file is not AVI, you can still use Quick Time Pro for the conversion, as long as it's not .wmv (which you will need to buy a plug-in), or anything extremely peculiar. Open the video file with QT Pro, and go to File>Export, then choose Movie to iPod. And there's your converted video file which you can import into iTunes. (I'm not sure if a regular Quick Time Player, which is free and should already be on your mac, has the Export function as well, because I have the Pro for a long time and forget what the regular version is like).
The good thing about QT Pro is that you can do some simple editing to your video, i.e. cut, copy and paste a specified portion of the video. And these functions are pretty useful on the most basic level.
If you don't want to spend money on Quick Time Pro, or if the file format is something that QT Pro can't convert or even open, here's what you can do. Let say the file extension is .xyz, you can use Google, or whatever search engine you use, and search for "convert .xyz to iPod" or something like that. There are bound to be a few free software, or free trials, that you can download. Try those.
There. That's about everything you need to know for converting videos into iPod formats.

  • Syncing digital camera movies to Ipod Touch

    Hi all,
Recently got an Ipod touch and love it. In order to sync movies to the touch, the movies have to be in the movies folder in the home folder on one's computer. However, the touch doesn't recognize the movie format from my digital camera. Does anyone have any advice on how to change the format so that the Ipod can sync the video clips?
    Gary

Will Quick time pro or Imovie save as M4v. Does anyone have experience with this?
    Yes, but...
...there are CODECs used in some video files that aren't supported by QuickTime (or QuickTime Pro).
I personally prefer VisualHub. The other evening I was attempting to reduce the image size of a 2 hr mpg-4 file I had to iPod size with QuickTime Pro - the time to completion estimate kept going up and when it reached 18 hours I quit QuickTime Pro. VisualHub did the conversion in 38 minutes.

  • HP Photosmart R507 Digital Camera driver for windows7

i want driver for HP Photosmart R507 Digital Camera  for windows7. i have dic driver only fro xp windows

    Hello jmitsis,
Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!
I understand you are looking for Windows 7 drivers for your camera. Unfortunately, there are only drivers for Vista and XP, as indicated here: HP Photosmart R507 Digital Camera Drivers
You can try installing a Vista driver, and see if that works. You can also try running the software in compatibility mode. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks!

  • Canon Digital Camera Disk for mac.

I loaded the Solution Disk Ver. 3.0 for our new Canon Camera into my macbook yesterday, We loaded
some pictures out of the camera into the computer and printed successfully. Later, when I turned the
computer back on, none of the programs would open even mail or safari. I deleted a lot of duplicate
pix and old Emails it took about an hour to empty the trash. Then I turned it off using the power
button, waited a minute and turned it back on. It is functioning, but doesn't have the speed, and
sometimes I get the little rainbow twirly thing where my cursor is, So what do I do?

When I try to open the EOS digital solution disk ver 24.1 for my new Canon Rebel T3i camera on my Mac 10.5.8 a notice "this software is not supported by the CPU you are using" comes up
You need to contact Canon - or read the software specs - it sounds like the software you got form them is not supported by your computer
    Do I need this software?
Probably not - exactly what about it do you want?
Can I just download the pictures to my Mac without using the Canon software?
Probably - if you are shooting JPEG - launch iPhoto and in the iPhoto preferences set action when a camera is connected to launch iPhoto and connect your camera - iPhoto should launch and you should be able to import
Some cameras need to be set to mass storage mode - read your camera manual for details and procedures
If you are using RAW then your camera needs to be on this list and you need the versions of software noted - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4757 - for older OS versions you can use google to find the list of supported cameras

  • Link for ipod software?

I had a fourth generation ipod and just bought the new 160GB ipod. However when i received it in the mail, i found out it was formatted for mac. I use windows and run itunes version 7.6.1.9. I downloaded most of the updates but there is still one left. In the itunes window it says ipod software update and it is 57.6 MB. Now I have no problem with starting the download, but i have dial-up. It takes about 7 hours to download that much info. Plus my connection cuts out every four hours and i lose everything. Does anyone know of a link that would let me download that support package to a flash drive at another computer so i can play my new ipod.
    Thanks so much

There are no links to standalone iPod software updaters. You update the iPod through iTunes.
I downloaded most of the updates but there is still one left.
Why are you downloading all the updates? All you need is the current one, accessed through iTunes.

  • Belkin digital camera connector

I wonder if anybody know if this connector is compatible with the 5th generation of iPod (30GB). I'd like to be sure before buy it. Thanks

I don’t see why it wouldn’t but it says it is for 3G iPod and you said it doesn’t work.
Any idea if this belkin device supports 5G iPods
No, it does not support the 5G, based upon it does not work and it is not designed for the 5G.

  • XtremeMac MicroMemo Digital Voice Recorder For iPod

Im using a Sony recorder, that my friend let me borrow, to record my lectures for class. In order for me to transfer the recordings onto my mac, I must have windows. I don't want to install parallel onto my mac just for the recorder.
This device claims to be a detachable microphone which can records meetings, lectures or audio content directly onto iPod. It has a speaker for playback, I'm assuming that this device will not transfer onto my mac.
If anyone has used it, or has any suggestions on a recorder that i can record and then have it transfer to my computer or has any idea on how to get recordings (its in dvf format) please let me know.
    thanks!

The Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic allow you to record memos onto a 4th gen iPod nano.
I've noticed your OS is not recent enough for the latest iPod nano, or more importantly the iTunes version required for the 4th gen iPod nano. I'm surprised it works with a 2nd gen iPod nano.

  • Best link for iPod to Maranz PM-17MKII amplifier

I have the 80g iPod and trying to find the best way of connecting to my amplifier. The options that I know about are a docking station or a direct cable from the iPod output using a split cable into the amp. Any advice welcome.
    Thanks
    Skeg

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
I would use a dock. You would still need a cable to connect those two, but the line out on the dock is much better than the one on iPod (for amps).
Again, the dock is not a requirement, but I'd recommend you get one for this purpose. You can also control the iPod with a remote if you buy a remote and a dock.

  • Better camera quality for iPod 4g?

the ipod 4g has a crap camera quality!!
n i need to taek pictures but i cannot because it is not clear
so i was wondering whether there would be some apps which can give you a camera with a better quality?
    thanks!

The cameras on the 4G iOd are not that good. Unless you have very good lightning, the still pictures look grainly/blurry and look poor.

  • TS1717 I foolishly downloaded the latest version of iTunes and now it won't run.  I get a message stating that MSVCR.dll is missing and an error message saying error 7 (Windows error 126).  Click on the support link for iPod + iTunes - no support for iTun

Why won't the latest version of iTunes run?  I've downloaded it twice.  Come to that, why isn't iTunes an option in the product list on this site?  Apple did make that, didn't they?

    Hey Jim Tracy!

yes you can connect your digital camera to your ipod and download images onto the ipod. all you need is the Apple iPod Camera Connector. You can check it out on:

  • Can iPod  store video taken on Sony DSC-H1 digital camera?

I would like to be able to download the video segments I might take on my digital camera, to the iPod for storage, later to be transferred to my iMac for editing. Can this be done?? Thanks.
    Forest

I'm leaving next week for holidays and I am looking
for a storage device. I don't want to take my laptop
with me as it is my employers. I want to be able to
store video files from my Sony DSC-W30 camera. Does
anyone know if the camera connection will work for
    this?
Well in case anyone was wondering. It works. You can't view them but they are all there. It is an excellent way to have digital storage device on the road. It does eat into the battery charge quite a bit though. Make sure it is well charged before you import photo's and video's.
