Belkin wireless adapter F5D6050 keeps loosing settings when i first boot up

I have to go into belkin wireless adapter setup everytime i reboot the machine.
i am running 10.3.9 using the above adapter and it is doing my head in, any help would be gratefully apprieciated.

Hi David White,
Alternatively, after password recovery you can modify the configuration to be what you want, and then issue:
   write memory
to save the configuration.  You can then verify that your changes have been saved to the startup config by issuing:
   show startup-config"
The only good thing is that when I switch off a router it erase configuration except my new password which I created after password reset. Everything else is getting vanished (ADSL settings, DHCP, routing ) everything. Even new admin accounts I created.
Well have a question to your above comments. I am new in Cisco so please put as much detail as you can for me to understand. When you say modify configuration do you mean to go to Cisco CP Express graphical interface and then connect router to hyper terminal and execute above commands?
Why router doesn't remember this anyway. There must be some option to change in configuration to make thing permanent when I hit apply changes in Cisco CO Express otherwise it is pointless to heve it.
Phillip
write memory
is
copy running-config startup-config"
Can't this be done via Cisco CP Express or set up router to copy this every time I change this in graphical interface rather going to command line to achnoledge it?
I understand your concern about this router and somebodie's configuration details as you want things to be un-used when you buy them - true. ADSL details belongs to the shop which sold me the router so that is why I don't make a big problem about this. We take most of hardware from this shop and have discount and many good deals with them so I think they have been just testing it and forgot to erease their config. It might be that someone has returned router to the shop and they have repaired it and tested it.
I hope this is a normal behaviour of this router as I have option to replace it in case this is a fault.
Could you please write me step by step guide how can I make changed options stay permanently on router?
thank you
Dragan

How can I find what apple ID I used to register my iMac when I first booted up? I am being told that by using this ID I will be able to go on to the App store and down load iPhoto at no cost. Is this true? My iMac does not have iPhoto resident on it now and I only purchased my new iMac in December 2012
    Thanks....

Launch Keychain Access and click on Login in the left hand pane and then on Passwords.  Next do search for Apple in the search field at the top and click on Apple ID Authenicication in the list that comes up.  That will give you the ID no. and password.

  • Pavilion G7 wireless adapter stopped working and now will no longer boot.

    I bought a Pavilion G7 about 7 months ago.
After a couple of months, the wireless adapter stopped working, it just disappeared from the Device Manager (Win7 Home).
I reset the computer to factory settings and it fixed that problem.
One month after this, the wireless adapter problem returned, I tried to use system recovery to restore it to a previous point, no luck.
I closed the laptop after this, didn't turn it off.
Opened it up and decided to watch a video I had on there, I had to pause the video halfway through (used Windows media player). Came back to continue watching and the screen was black. No lightbar activity, just blackness.
I pressed a few buttons, nothing.
Decided to do a hard reset (hold the power button for 8 seconds) then I left it and turned it on again, the blank screen returned, no signs of life, no boot, no HDD activity, nothing. The caps lock button was on, the wireless light (of course) was orange.
What on Earth has gone wrong? What can I do to fix this?
    Thanks.

  • No Wireless Adapter Found in Vista on MacBook Pro with Boot Camp

    Hi,
I have a MacBook Pro for which I recently installed Boot Camp. After installing Boot Camp 2.0 as well as after updating to Boot Camp 2.1, while all other drivers appear to have installed fine, Windows Vista (64) does not detect a wireless adapter.
Is there a specific driver I can download and install?

A better place to ask your question would probably be the Boot Camp forum.

  • Spins like it's going to blow up when I first boot up my machine

    Stand back!
When I first turn on my iMac in the morning, it makes this terrible whirring sound that continues to get louder and louder and sounds like it's spinning faster and faster until I finally just turn it off. I then leave for 5 minutes, go grab a coffee, and when I come back, I turn it on and boots up just fine, no weird noises, nothing.
Is my hard drive about to crash?
I only bought this machine in March 2005!

Have your tried resetting the PRAM - this is frequently suggested as a cure for loud fans. See this KB article on resetting the PRAM.
Have you tried repairing your disk, either from the install disk or by running fsck? See this KB article on both these procedures.
You could also try leaving your computer on (in sleep mode) rather than shutting down - I read somewhere that the fans come on like this when starting up because something is missing from the start-up procedures, and so the fans come on by default. Unfortunately, I can't trace that information - I'm sure one of the more expert posters here will put you right on this.
Is my hard drive about to crash?
You can check your hard drive by going to your Utilities folder and opening the Disk Utility app. Then select your physical hard drive (not your start up volume) and check that the SMART status reads "verified".

  • How do I keep my settings when importing into a clean iTunes?

I have multiple television shows saved to my HDD. I have gone through and added sorting information, dates, episode titles, episode numbers, dvd covers... everything that I would want to fill in under "Get Info".
Now I have installed iTunes on a new PC and this will be my Apple TV / iTunes server for the house. Everything runs just like it used to on the old PC except for one major issue.
I imported the TV shows into the new iTunes. It did not save all the settings. The artwork is there and some of the sorting information but it still imports them as Home Movies and is missing a few fields.
Does iTunes only write certain info to the actual file? Am I destined to have to re-sort everything every time I install and import to iTunes?

Still actually looking for an answer for this question.
Simply: How do I move the files to a new PC and have it keep everything I already spent HOURS putting into the "Get Info" screen in iTunes? Is there a backup command or something I am missing?
    Running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit / iTunes 11.1.5.5.

  • HT201269 5c wont keep screen settings when turned off overnight.

    Hi all,
I got my screens arranged using itunes so all the apps are where I want them. I turn the phone off at night, and when I turn it on in the morning, they are back where they started. Am I doing something wrong??
    Regards Paul.

Why not leave the phone on? It'll just go into a sleep state. You aren't gaining any advantage by turning it off and you can keep your home screen the way you want it.

  • I keep loosing pages when writing text

Love Lion but I gotta find out why this keeps happening. If I have a page open in Safari and I need to click to open a new page to write text as in a forum, it seems 9 out of 10 times I do this the page I'm writing on disppears before I finish writing resulting in loosing all the text I just wrote. I search for the page figuring it is behind or on the desktop but its just gone and is nowhere to be found which makes me have to re open a new page and re write the text again hoping it does not happen.
    Anybody else have this problem?
    RD

In Lion, anyone who can't spell "losing" has all their text automatically deleted.

  • My windows keeps loosing focus when bluetooth goes active

Hi, I have a problem with my bluetooth.
When my bluetooth on my laptop goes active i.e. the "bluetooth B" in the bluetooth icon on the botton tray in Windows goes from white to green this problem accours. At that very moment, the current window I am working in goes inactive. If I am typing in a textbox for example and the bluetooth goes from "white to green", the textbox looses focus and I have to cklick it to resume my typing.
How dow get rid of that problem and still have a reachable bluetooth device?
Running on Windows XP Pro, laptop:
Bluetooth Stack for Windows by Toshibe
    Version v4.42 (D)
    Bluetooth spec:
    Version 2.0, 1.2, 1.1
    Thanks!
    //Doman

That could be the solution... but no luck..
Now, I´m running with stack: v6.01.03(D)
...and the problem is still there.
    *More background:*
I am using a SonyEricsson sync program, every morning I connect my mobile via this program. The program is set to autosync the first thing when it detecs the mobile via bluetooth. The laptop stays often in the it´s dock and when I leave it (with the mobile in my pocket) and come back, they find eachother again and the sync starts. This way I never need to start the sync by myself which I always forget otherwhise.
The problem is that my computer sometimes checks if my mobile is still there (I suspect), and each time it starts to use the internal bluetooth device, the focus of current window I´m using is lost, this is of course very annoing when I´m writing something etc. This occurs regardless of the result of the search, ie regardless of it finds the phone or not.
Is there any workaround without losing that my phone autoconnects with my computer and the sync starts?

  • User keeps loosing settings on her iPad

Hi Guys, I have a user that regularly says she has lost her settings on her iPad, its as if she has removed the profile which does require authorisation. We push these through our Mac OSX 10.9 Server , so its simple enough to re apply. She swears she is not doing anything, I looked through the logs using console and within Server app, I just can not pinpoint why this is happening. Has anyone got any troubleshooting tips like wherte to look for the info I need? I just want to understand what is happening. Its only this one user and she does it every few weeks.
    Any tips would be great.
    Bob

what Dilbert said is true.  But remember that every time you try to update those apps, it is going to ask for your old ID password.  It is not a good idea to change your apple ID.  It will revert to your old ID  every time there is an update.

  • My iPhone 4S keeps loosing signal when 3G connection is on how can this be it worked fine until the latest software update

I recently updatedy iPhone 4S to the latest software now when I have 3G turned on it says searching for network and I can not make or receive calls 02 say 3G has to be turned off but that's the reason I have this phone is to access the Internet when away from home l.  Please help anyone?

Yeah, my iPhone 4S sometimes manages to connect to wifi for about 10 minutes now. I think there is a problem related with the antenna because when the phone heats up, the WIFI stops working. I had a similar experience with my older iPhone 4S which I bought from the U.S.A. (unlocked version) but after a couple of days, WIFI icon grayed out and I wasn't able to switch it on and off. Now the phone I'm using was bought in Turkey from a local carrier, (it's not locked I suppose) I'm planning on upgrading to an iPhone 6 and I will try to get my 4S repaired. I hope it is something related with software rather than hardware. Because a friend of mine sent his phone to the local Apple store to be fixed, they sent the phone back claiming that they had repaired it. But in about 2 days, the phone shut itself down and never turned off back again lol. I don't want to experience the same thing. But anyway, thanks for your answer. At least now I know that I'm not the only one that has this problem .

You said that you could click home to successfully reload the pages at some point, but when trying to reload immediately using Ctrl+r, it didn't work just yet. Hmmm...
Your Reset would have given you a clean cache folder, but it copies over your cookies. In case there is some corruption there, please remove the cookies associated with the problem sites. This will log you out if you use cookies to keep you logged in on those sites.
While viewing a page on the site, right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Alternately, call up that dialog from this or any other page and change the search box at the top to match the domain of the problem site.
    Any change?

  • How to disable Internet from running when users first boots into Windows 8.1 Pro

Recently added Windows 8 into our environment, everything works fine except the IE 11 always pops up at initial logging.  Is there a way to disable this w/ Group Policy?
    Thanks in advance.
    Roget Luo

    Hi,
Did you mean that once users first log on Windows 8.1 and IE 11 pops up? Did this issue happened after logging off then logging in and shutting down the PC then restarting to login?
What’s the detailed information about the pop-up? The screenshot would be more helpful for us to determine the issue.
We can check if there is any logon script or task schedule configured in your environment.
For further help you, please provide more information about how you deploy Windows 8.1.
Meanwhile, please help to collect the boot trace for further research.

  • Compaq wireless adapter too old?

It appears my Compaq Presario CQ50 laptop's Atheros AR5007 wifi adapter is not recognized by the Airport Extreme Base Station, is it just too old or can a setting be switched?

Thanks for all the comments (most of them anyway :)). Since my first problem was that I couldn't identify what the thing is called, so I didn't get stuck with a transmit only device, I called Belkin. I was told that their product was a Wireless G Gaming Adapter (F5D7330). The rational was that XBox, etc. may not have USB ports, but they all have ethernet ports.
I then asked about my busted wireless adapter. She looked it up and said the replacement was due to be shipped out shortly. She then volunteered to switch the product to the Gaming Adapter (list price $100), so I said fine.
I then went to Amazon.com and looked up the reviews of the F5D7330. 80% loved it, 14% hated it, and the difference said they liked it after all the setup hassle.
BTW, all this started about 5 years ago when I bought a Belkin Wireless adapter for my PMG3. It looked like a mouse with one antenna sticking out. I got a rehab unit for about $20 ($70 new). It was bad, so 4 months later they sent me another one. It lasted a while and went bad, so they sent me the new one shaped like a stick of gum. It has now gone bad, so they are sending me the Gaming unit that looks like a mouse with antenna sticking out. Round and round. At least I keep getting the newest thing for my original $20 investment.

  • WLC526 and two AP521 problem. Clients keep loose connectivity

I have a UC520 in a building with several IP phones.  We installed a WLC526 and two AP521's for seamless roaming of cordless phones.  THe phones work great with no issues.  When I am running a ping test on a wireless laptop, i keep loosing packets.  It looses connectivity randomnly.  DHCP is given via Windows 2008R2 server.  Have a cisco 2948 switch also in the mix.  THe AP's are connected directly to teh front of the UC520.  Is there something in the configuration I am missing?  Why do phones work perfectly and not data?

You do a ping from a laptop to another laptops?
The WLC and the APs you have are really old. It will not be strange if you find the client you are using having problem with the APs/WLC that you have.
