Belle - Mail for exchange email photos .jpg"

I made a new email in Mail for exchange and did Attach->Photo
The photos sent with double quotation marks at the end of the .jpg
i.e.  .jpg"
This made the photos unable to be opened by the recipient.

This is on an N8 firmware 111.030.0609.C14.01

  • E71, mail for exchange, emails not being deleted

Hello, I have an E71 on which I have configured mfE to sync with my company's exchange server. I've set emails to sync the last 3 days and calendar entries last 2 weeks. However, emails and calendar entries which are older than 3 days/2 weeks are not deleted from the phone. It keeps everything until finally it stops syncing and gives me a "system error, please try later". I'm thinking it is because the device becomes full or something like that. Doing a full resync resolves the problem, although it would be nice to have it working properly.

    Hi az1987,
How often do u face this error on ur device screen?
what is the frimware on the device*#0000#)
what is the version of mail for exchange ? (this u can get from ABOUT of mfe)
You said 'it stops syncing' when does this happen?
please revert me back on the above queries so i can work out on this?
by the way do u face this problem when u try retrieving all maisl instead of only 3days older?
If this post helped... Add some kudos!!

Is your network operator a virtual network operator or have you just ported to one?
What's the setting in Menu > Settings > Connectivity > Settings > Allow mobile data usage? Is it 'Home country/region'?

  • No email body in mail for exchange? Nokia E52

On my Nokia E52 i have setup mail for exchange access to gmail, but all it seems to download is the header with who its from and the subject? There isnt any mention of the email body/message at all?
My contacts and calendar all sync properly.
Am i missing something?  On my ipod touch it downloads the messages using the exact same account

Curious issue, on the 22nd January 2010, I also got a system message stating ‘Mail for Exchange – Your account does not have permission to synchronise with your current settings.'  then a further message saying that the phone required a locking password etc.  This resulted in the phone being locked before it could be opened.
I'm sure nothing changed on the local mail servers, so I wonder what has changed on the Mail For Excange settings?

  • E65 Mail for exchange - Delay in opening email

Hi, I have been using the Mail for Exchange V2.02 on my Nokia E65 to connect with my Exchange Mail server for downloading my emails. I do a manual synch for downloading emails.
Whenever I try to open a new email that has downloaded, the phone shows me a message saying "Opening" and it takes atleast 2 minutes to open the message and show me the details. This delay happens only for the first email that is viewed, all subsequent emails open instantly.
Can someone help why it is taking so much time to open an email?
    Rgds,
    Kunal

I also rang Nokia phone support for this issue, and they were remarkably unhelpful.
All they said was there is a security issue on the certificate.
When asked how to change the security on the certificate?
Response was something along the lines of they can't tell me because their support services do not cover changing security of certificates.
When I asked where I could find that information?
They couldn't tell me because their support doesn't cover chaging certificate security.
Surely someone in Nokia knows how to do it! Why supply the program that allows security but doesn't work with it?!?
The other option was to purchase 3rd party certificates, but then you have replace your current certificate everywhere it is used with this 3rd party one. Why pay for something that is built into Exchange?
    Very frustrating.
Like you, Exchange on our work mobiles is a far cheaper option that Blackberry, so if we can get it to work, a lot more of us will be moving to Mail for Exchange.
We were actually looking at the e65 for all our business phones but after testing one, there is no point because the major drawing point doesn't work properly.

  • Nokia N8 Mail for Exchange deleting all emails fro...

I've got a Nokia N8 which was working perfectly fine with Mail for Exchange, but recently has got the annoying habit of deleting all the messages from my inbox and moving them all to the deleted folder.
The only thing I've done differently as of late was in linking my hotmail account to my other phone which was a E5.
I've unlinked and deleted the account from the E5, but about once a day, I will check my MFE on my N8 and all messages have been deleted to where I will moved them back from Deleted to the Inbox.
It seems like it will be fine for a couple of hours, then it will delete them.
I've removed the mailbox and reinstalled, but it keeps happening.
    Very annoying.
    Any recommendations?
I'm about ready to flash to 11.05 and back to Anna again.

flotron posted this temporary workaround in the other thread:
"I think i found the problem.. (i think i said)
For the moment no deleted messages in about 2 days, the workaround:
Don't open/use Windows Live Mail client at same time you use/connect Nokia Exchange
It seems that using Nokia and WLM at the same time makes some conflict
I hope this will solve the problem. Now from computer i'm checking my emails from the web client"
I was using Outlook as my other client, but I guess the conflict with Exchange ActiveSync was the same

  • New E72 Mail for exchange problem--end of emails c...

    Hello,
As I can't seem to find anyone who is having this problem, I thought I'd start a new thread.
We are running 5 E72s (T-Mobile UK customised firmware version 031.023), using Mail for Exchange with Exchange 2003 sp2. Since updating to 031.023 from 021.024 (022.007 wasn't realised for T-Mobile UK product code), Mail for Exchange has basically worked okay (finally!!), but we've noticed that it sometimes cuts off the ends of emails, which has a major negative business impact. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any ideas on how to solve it?
In the meantime, we've switched to running Roadsync, which is less elegant (and much slower) than Mail for Exchange, but has the advantage of basically working.
    Many thanks,
    Paul

I have had exactly the same problem with all previous versions of firmware, connecting to Exchange 2003, SP2
    I am currently running:
    -Product code: 0595585
    -Firmware: 054.005
    -Custom version: 054.005.275.04
    -Mail for Exchange version: 2.2.0
I have tried all the same solutions as DCBertisen (software update, new install without backup).
I had tested the same installation with roadsync on symbian, roadsync on android, native exchange on android and windows mobile, and all of these work fine.
I have now moved to Exchange 2010, and it appears (touch wood) that I no longer am having these problems. However, I have only been using Exchange 2010 for 3 weeks, so I fear they may happen again.

  • Mail for Exchange and missing emails

    Hi,
We have a problem with out Mail for Exchange mobile synhronization. All the mails are received in Outlook (Exchange Server) but in MfE some emails are missing. The missing emails are randomly selected inside or outside organization emails. Let's say few emails per day are totally missing inf MfE. What could be the problem? We have e72 mobiles, our Exchange server is 2007 and we are using Forefront 2010 to ISA connection.

Go to your outlook web access website and click on the lock and then view certificate. The details and then you can save it in DER format to your desktop.
    Then go to this site:
http://www.redelijkheid.com/symcaimport/ and insert through the browse button and then copy the link to your phone.
Then you should be able to download it
You can also go to your IIS default site on the exchange server and directory security and export your certificate under edit certificate.
I have tried everything now. I can download my certificate and the valicert from GoDaddy, but the Nokia phone is still saying "do you trust this certificate" every time the phone syncs.
Our firm have taken the E-phones away now and went over to windows mobile and all of them worked within 10 minutes without any errors.
The funny thing is that when you try to call nokia, they wont help you with Mail for Exchange, and it is there program
I know my GoDaddy certificate works on windows mobile phones, so It must be something with Mail for Exchange.
Every guy I talked to about symbian phones have told me they always gives problems with SSL. I am a bit **bleep**, but can conclude that Nokia is for the private consumer.
    Best Regards

  • Mail for exchange in email, not messaging?

I have an N97. My gmail account is set up fine. I've also set up my work email under 'mail for exchange' using outlook web access.
But the 'mail for exchange' sits in the messaging app. I want to be able to read it on the same app that I read my gmail.
Perhaps I have set it up wrong? But when I go into email, the button at the top left that lets me choose my mailbox only lets me select my gmail account.

Hello, me again. I'm sure somebody must be able to help me with this so I'm trying again!
I have the email widget set up on my n97. I connected it to my gmail account fine. Works nicely.
I wanted to connect it to my work email via exchange. So I go into the widget, click add new email, and set it all up. That all works fine.
The problem is that my exchange account can't be accessed via the email widget. I have to go into the messaging app and drill down to 'Mail for exchange'.
Is there anyway to be able to access both accounts through the email widget. The email widget is much nicer

  • E90 using Mail for Exchange - Sync sent emails pro...

    Hi
I am trying to setup Mail for Exchange on a Nokia E90 and am currently trying it with the free mail2web service before deciding what is right for me
I have gone through all settings and if I sync, it syncs the inbox fine with mail2web and tasks, calendars etc, but it will not sync the sent items folder from the PC to the E90. However, if I send a mail from the E90, it appears on the PC after a sync no problem
Is this a simple setting thing or a limitation?
Say for example, I want to send 20 emails from the PC, and then sync so I can have them on my phone, I do not seem to be able to do so??
    Please help with any suggestions

    Hello, all,
    We have the following problem:
We do NOT want to exchange MAIL with MfE but still CONTACTS and CALENDAR.
We realised the connection with the echange server, and can send e-mails.
But the synchronisation of Contacts and Calendar did not succeed yet.
Maybe we do have to uninstall the synchronisation with the OVI-suite ?
    Who has a suggestion?

  • Marking emails as unread w/ Mail for Exchange

Is it possible to set the status of a mail back to unread status after I have looked at it?
I have just recently moved over from a Blackberry - and on that it was easy to change the status back to unread - as a reminder that I still had to follow up on stuff.
On second thought - how do I keep the mail for exchange program from opening up the listing at the first unread message - I'd prefer to have it open at the top of the listing so I can see the latest msg first?
    Any help greatly appreciated, thanks!

  • Mail for Exchange on E6-00

Moving from my trusty E71 to a new E6-00 I’m trying to get to grips with ‘Mail for Exchange’. I have a couple of queries, and would welcome comments/advice.
It would appear that Emails sent from handset do not sync to the server, so I have no record (beyond MfE) of communications that I’ve sent; is that correct, or am I doing something wrong?
I don’t seem to be able to view any sub-folders within my (Exchange) Inbox, I have loads. Is there way of doing this?
I had been using DataViz RoadSync on my E71, but this will not run on the E6-00 and Symbian Anna, so (for now at least) I’m stuck with MfE. RoadSync had none of the above issues.

No Paul, I never made any progress with this.
I am still using MfE but have been unable to access more than one sub-folder (I have loads on my MSexchange mail).
Last time I looked there was no sign of RoadSync being made available for Anna, or Belle -- I suspect that development on symbian versions may (understandably) have ceased
